Why do you schedule appointments if you don't have places to look or diagnose or fix your cars? They told me at that point it would be three days that does not work for the normal American family anymore. Most of us work two jobs. We have children to run around. He was able to fit me into the schedule with less than a week's notice and Apple Ford Shakopee facilitated the service within the expected times in addition to informing me of outstanding TSBs and even completed one while the truck was already there. The technician was courteous and professional. He was to change my oil at my home residence and performed all points (more than anticipated) and even reset pressure in my tires. He noticed my oil pan drain plug was slightly damaged and waited for an hour to have a new one delivered. I can't say enough about how pleased I was. STAY AWAY! Grab some popcorn, this is a good one. I'm in the market for a new used car and thought I'd check out Apple Shakopee because I live close. I go online, fill out the "pre-approval", and soon after, I'm contacted via text message (which I think is actually awesome) asking me about which car I was interested in. Soon after, I'm contacted by a sales associate (who I'll call SA). SA sends me a message asking how much I would be putting down. I tell him that and that I'd like to test drive the car. He responds that once I "provide them" with documents and a down payment, THEN I could schedule an appointment. This should have made me walk away from this place and is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of when wanting to buy a car. I unfortunately, did not. I send in the documents as I really am interested in getting the car. They run my credit (remember this, it'll be important later) and I get a message from the Finance guy (who I'll call FG), saying that I'll hear back in the morning. I get another message from SA who says it'll be two days because he is off work the next. So now, I have to wait on a SA, who mind you, has done NOTHING to sell a car but send me two texts, to have his day off. I again ask to test drive and I'm met with silence. Two days later I get a message from SA saying that I have "final approval". I STILL have not test drove this car. Finally, after saying that I would come in, I demand to test drive the car, and finally get the chance. I get back and I tell them that I'll take it and to get the paperwork ready and I'll come the next day to pay a down payment and sign. I'm told they already have the paperwork ready. (Hint: they don't). After waiting 20 minutes, SA comes to me and asks if I have my Social Security card on me. I do, but it's in bad shape and hard to read. He comes back and says "the bank" can't read it and won't approve my loan (the same one that already had "final" approval) and there is nothing they can do. I leave, bummed out but oh well. 10 minutes later SA texts me and says "to clarify", they have the wrong SSN. Really? But you pulled my credit just 3 days prior! My SSN didn't change in the last 3 days. I give them my SSN over the phone and not 30 seconds later, they pull my credit, AGAIN, with different lenders! Final approval my... I go back, and am still going to sign, I don't know why. SA proceeded to argue with me, telling me that I gave them the wrong SSN. Seriously? Even if I WAS the one to screw up, you really have to be right? I'm waiting another 20 minutes for FG and in this time, I'm just stewing about all the lies and deceptions. I tell them that my gut is telling me to not do this today, and I left. I sent them a message later on asking one question. Why should I buy my car from Apple Shakopee? Wanna know their answer? So do I. They wouldn't answer a simple question about why. That's all they had to do to sell a car. There is a reason they couldn't answer, it's because they don't know. I tell them that I am never going to come back to their dealership and in some perverse game of theirs, they send me 2 messages. One saying that someone else was showing interest in the car I had wanted and the other saying that they "hope to see me again soon". What. A. Joke. read more

Our son came home from CO to purchase a used Ford Escort from these guys in June of 2023. 4 days later, just after arriving in CO, the car had smoke and steam coming from the engine. $2700 later it was discovered that there was a recall on the car, causing it to overheat, that had never been addressed. Shortly after that was fixed, the transmission crapped out, so he's now looking at another $5100 repair. Not much we can do anymore but beware. The following review is for the service department. I chose this dealership because of the better reviews. First time in for "the works" in April and everything seemed to go fine. The mechanic didn't try to upswell me on anything. Cool. Then, I asked how my filters looked because I had been getting a bad smell in the cabin. He quickly blew me off and said, "Nah, the filters look fine. Might look into it at your next oil change." I said, "So you didn't find a family of mice living in there?" And he laughed, "No, hahaha. You're good to go, here are your papers." Well, I checked my filters, and the attached pictures are of my "fine" cabin filter. When I took it in, they replaced both my filters on-the-spot and apologized, even throwing in a free "Works" next time. Second visit: my rim was cracked and needed to be replaced. There was no communication when they took my keys about when I would hear from them. So I called the next morning and they said I was next to be looked at. Didn't get a call until the next morning BUT they were in touch both texting, calling, and sending videos of my car's inspection afterwards. I'm not digging them for being busy, just not communicating with me. First, let me state I have never bought a car from this dealer, but I wish I had. I take my car here for service. I had tried metropolitan Ford, but found they focus so much on looking shiny they don't actually serve their customers well. So instead I have made this my go to car dealer service for my mach e. They have been absolutely great. They have been impacted by COVID staff shortages, but overall I always leave happy. They take good care of me. My only complaint, is their communication is not great (hence four stars) I wish they leveraged text to their service reps more or have an online portal to see the status of my car. Are they as shiny as some of the other dealers? No. They aren't a hole in the wall either. I will continue to go back! read more

Oh boy where do I begin...i brought my car in on Friday 11/10 because my check engine light was on. They let me know that day they needed to replace my thermostat and they ordered the part and it would be there on the following Monday 11/13. Great we can do alright without a car for one weekend. Monday they call me to say they ordered the wrong part and the new one would be there Tuesday so again I'm without a car. This is extremely difficult because I commute to work 30 minutes each way and am the only driver in my family. Tuesday I get a call from them saying they damaged my computer putting in the thermostat and they have to order me a new computer and it'll be ready Wednesday. At this point I'm without a car for 5 days. They did manage to partially salvage the situation by giving me a rental car which I had to have my parents deliver to my workplace taking over an hour out of their busy lives to help me. My car is finally ready and I pick it up that Thursday and everything is going ok and I'm driving my family to the grocery store and I get a warning light (incredibly stressful driving on 494 with a 4 year old and that happens) So I have to drive to the garage which was out of my way, and they override the warning and I'm on my way. The next Saturday after thanksgiving I'm driving my family out of town and I get 3 lights turn on my dash so I drive back to the dealership to get it overridden again and then was told it was safe to drive out of town. About 20 miles outside of town I get the low oil pressure light on and then later my check engine light is on. Miraculously I barely get my car home and am now without until Friday when I had to schedule another appointment. This whole situation is unacceptable. I've worked a variety of customer service roles in my career and I would have lost my job long ago had I treated a customer the way I was being treated. Brought my car in for a simple air bag replacement per a Ford recall. During the air bag replacement, the Ford technician broke an interior trim piece, and after two months, I was finally told that the piece was on back order, and there was nothing the dealership could do. When I offered a solution and asked for some sort of compensation, I was told no and that I would just have to wait for the trim piece. When I asked for an eta on the piece, I was told that the dealership had no idea. Now I'm just expected to wait, drive a broken car, and hope that Ford, someday, will get around to fixing my car. read more

As others have posted, typical dealership. "Advocacy" was smile without feeling. Salesman was an order taker. Used car manager was initially helpful, especially when vehicle was not drivable after paperwork signed. They agreed to repair issue. Poor follow-up while being fixed, however. Several weeks to fix problem. Salesman dropped off car. Now had a new problem. Salesman never mentioned the new problem. I immediately noticed and complained. Dealer wanted in house diagnoses. Refused to say it would fix it. More I read and in speaking with man who would do the diagnosis, I have the sense they knew the cause of the new problem, but did not want to accept responsibility. Not an inexpensive fix. Ultimately received some money to allow me to fix the problem. Quite a battle to get that and it did not cover costs of repair/replacement. While servicing the sales department contacted me and asked if I would be open to considering selling my vehicle. After getting the appraisal and considering options of keeping my vehicle or upgrading to a newer I ended up working with Ben in the sales department. Ben was great at answering all my questions. I was very impressed in that I thought I'd save money by getting a vehicle with no features, they were able to find me a deal on a vehicle that was cheaper and fully loaded. I went back to Apple Ford Shakopee this year to give them another chance, but only due to the sales person I mentioned in my last update. Jen Michel is the best. I leased a new vehicle from her earlier this year, and am looking at leasing another one now. She will find you what you want, she will look at what financing might be based on your actual credit situation, and do her best to make you happy. There is no back and forth on pricing - one price for all. I have had my previous buy from her (8/2015 at another dealership) serviced at Apple Ford Shakopee, and they did ok. They were unaware of an upgrade for the Ford Sync that required a hardware change, so I did that myself. I had the latest vehicle I purchased from them in for a problem that kept showing up in the Ford Connect app, saying my brakes were failing. The service guy plugged an analyzer into the car and deemed the Connect app "not correct." Took about 5 minutes on a quick drop by. Overall, I have had fair experiences with their service, and they have a nice lounge while you wait - including TV, coffee/espresso, and treats. read more

I was connected with this dealer via KBB online. They recommended that I purchase my car at the end of my lease, and they agreed to turn around purchase it on the same day. I expressed that I was nervous since I wouldn't have the title in-hand, but they assured me that would not be an issue. After writing a check to purchase my vehicle at the end of my lease, I arrived at Apple Auto, at which time they lowered their price offer. I accepted, because I had no choice at that point. I waited in the lounge for about 20 minutes at which time I was told that my car could not be purchased because I don't have the title. This was exactly my concern that they specifically reassured me about! So at that point I was stuck with a car that I had already paid for -- in addition to a new car I had already purchased -- with no way out for 4-6 months until the title cleared. My experience with Apple Ford Shakopee! Long post here but hopefully it will help & prevent someone else some costly time and repairs. I purchase a used 2013 Chevy Silverado with 94000 miles on Feb 2022 that came with the Blue Certified Warranty for a second spare vehicle to have incase my higher mileage car breaks down. I am a first time buyer through a dealership. Overall happy with my new truck until my first oil change at 3000 miles. It was discovered that it had a Main Transmission seal leak by my mechanic. I was told it will get worse and limit driving and do not tow anything. I wanted to get it fixed right away. I contacted Apple Ford right away. It took 2 wks for them to back to me. With many phones calls back and forth with service and sales we agreed to split the cost 3 ways on this $1500.00 repair. This is where everything starts going south!!! I started having car issues with my daily driver. To the cost of $3000.00 in repairs this month. So I became stressed and stranded. My job requires a car as a outside sales rep. So I thought rather than repair the truck and spend more $$$, I would trade it for a SUV. So on 7-11-22 I did just that. The sales person showed me 1 SUV a Honda CRV with 65000 miles. I told him I didn't love it and would like to drive some others. He asked me to go in and see what my trade value was and see where the numbers fall with the Honda as it was about the same price as my truck, Next thing you know I was signing papers and driving away with a different car with a much higher interest rate and would cost me over $10,000 more than the Truck. I have a 800+ credit score. 2 days after driving the car I decided I hated it and could not even remotely justify spending so much more money on a little tin can vs a truck. So per their 7 day money back guarantee I called immediately and said I wanted my truck back. HERE IS WHERE THE FUN STUFF BEGINS! I saw my truck posted 7-13 on their website. I thought hmm they fixed that tranny seal fast. Thursday 7-14 I was supposed to drop off CRV and pick my truck. I asked if the seal was replaced. All the sudden my truck is on the rack being repaired. Apple said to just drive the CRV and they would let me know when my truck was done. I called Monday 3 days later and my truck was done. Sweet! I came in late Monday to get my truck and returned the CRV. I asked if there was any paperwork. Nope, were all good Apple Said. Okay then off I go so happy to have my truck back. NOW IT GETS JUICY!!! So I drove my truck all day Tuesday and thought let me just look under it to be sure everything looks good. Much to my Surprise! I see tranny fluid and oil leaking everywhere. I also noticed my inspection cover was missing off the bell housing of tranny a 4" hole rocks could easily get in and wipe out the fly wheels and transmission theres a bracket that was zip tied to to tranny lines. WTH!!! So I immediately took it to a shop and got it on a rack in the air. Where we then quickly discovered the tranny line seal that attaches to bell housing was also now leaking, the tranny dip stick was not seated in bell housing nor attached to anything, the oil cooler gasket is leaking badly, gas lines not put back and dangling down, (need to drop tranny to get the gas lines back in place) sub frame nuts missing along with several other nuts and bolts missing, tranny heat shield is missing too plus what's mentioned above. Like Wow, Just WOW!!!! I am just at a loss for words with all the new problems. My truck has way more problems now then when I brought it in. At this point I Do Not Trust the internal parts of tranny based on what I see on the external repair work done. This is now going to cost yet another $1500.00+ providing no internal damage was done! GRAND FINALE!!! On top of the list above they also payed off my truck loan 7-18, have my title for the truck and won't get back to me regarding fixing their screw ups. So who actually owns my truck now? I have had to blow up their phone lines and miss a ton if work due to this. I have had no resolution with Apple Ford regarding getting these issues resolved in a timely manner with the exception of the finance department as of today. Of course they want their money!! As far as I am concerned I don't even own this truck at this point. I bet you can guess my recommendation? I have no words for the disappointment and experience I have had with Apple Ford Shakopee except RUN, STAY AWAY AND DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORD!!!! I bought my car here December 31, 2010. From day one, my car (a 2010 Ford Escape XLS) was making a weird chirping/screeching noise. It only happened sometimes and only when shifting gears and starting my car. I called Apple Ford of Shakopee several times and talked to several people there over the last 1.5 years, but I was always told that "it's just the way the car is made" and there's nothing that can be done. I even had a service department employee test drive it and he told me the same thing. I have never been satisfied with that explanation, but I've delt with it all along. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and called and talked to the service department. I talked to James in the service department and he advised me to make an appointment and come in. I came in on Friday morning 8/3/12 and spent an hour waiting and he finally came out with good news and bad. He told me that he knew what the problem was and he had to get a part in. Bad news was that he had to get the part and it wasn't going to be in for 3 hours. So I left and came back which kinda sucked. But I was alright with that if it solved the problem. So I came back 3 hours later, and James came out about an hour later and he said my car was fixed. I couldn't believe it. But I drove it out of there and it truly was fixed. James saved my life and my sanity. Oh and side note: throughout the 2 hours I was sitting there, James was always checking up on me to make sure I was doing okay and always kept me updated with status and what-not. Made an appointment for 9:30am to have service done. Oil change, fuel filter, transmission filter and radiator drain and fill. Told Neal I needed the shuttle to take me back to the RV park we were staying in as this was our only vehicle and we are traveling. No problems so far. At 5pm, I had not heard from Neal, or anyone else. I called and was put through to Neal's voice-mail. Left message. Called back at 5:30 and asked for service. Was told Neal left for the day at 4:30. Asked about my truck. When checked on, I was told that it was in a mechanics bay that had gone home for the night and was as yet untouched and not on a lift. I had now lost an entire day and had nothing done. The quick oil change lane was able to change the oil and fuel filter in about a half hour. They did comp the oil change, which I appreciate. Spoke to the sales manager (only Mgr there at that time) and was assured the GM and/or service mgr would contact me the next day, as he was emailing them with the issue. No response from Neal the service writer, the service Mgr or the General Mgr. I see that there is no care at all given to customers, at least as far as service goes. Please think twice before taking your vehicle here. The lack of communication, care, professionalism, and follow-up is ridiculous. Note to anyone buying a used car at this facility; drive it around the parking lot for a least a half hour before leaving to make sure nothing breaks! I bought a 2002 Ford Mustang and when I went to test drive it they had to jump it, twice. Said someone left the lights on when they last test drove it. No one noticed the lights on? Had to jump it again to test the convertible once inside the garage. The service department said they would check the battery, alternator etc. Put in a new battery without doing any checks. In the last month I've had to have the car jumped twice and towed twice at my expense. My auto shop found that two gem modules were bad and that put an excess drain on the battery because they wouldn't shut off. These are supposedly discontinued parts and I had to order the parts and have them programed to my car. $975. and a week later I'm still waiting for the service department and the general manager to call me or my auto shop with an explanation of why this wasn't found when they put the battery in. Also, 15 minutes after driving off the lot the windshield cracked across the bottom. If I don't hear from some one soon, my next step my be a call to the BBB or court. Mary W. read more

I purchased my used Fiat 500 early last year. The process was professional and quick as it could be for purchasing a car. The facilities were great and I really enjoyed speaking with everyone. I also get my oil changed at Apple Ford in Shakopee because I purchased my car on Memorial day, they were giving free oil change deals for every car purchased that day. Lucky me!!!! That wasn't really planned, as my car was totaled a day before. Fast-forward to now, I recently had to have my car serviced. I just got off a 10 hour shift and was dreading sitting at the service shop for another 3-4 hours while my car had to be fixed. My husband works nights, so I had to make myself comfortable. They offered me a ride home AND a pick up! I was so thrilled! Because my tiny baby-shoe car is special, they didn't have parts in stock, which didn't surprise me. I called the next day asked how long it would take, assuming the paperwork for the service plan and parts would take at least 3-4 days. The service was so excellent they were done the next day! Do NOT go to this dealer. Absolutely speechless...Robbed of my money, time and patience... It's been 2 months of absolute nonsense with these people. I traded in a 2017 Chrysler 300 for a 2014 Acura ILX, long story short, I brought my new vehicle in for an issue they refused to fix under ford blue warranty, a noticeable vibration in the vehicle. Also, upon receiving the Acura ILX as a "CERTIFIED BLUE" vehicle, I noticed both the cabin air and engine air filter were absolutely black, and needed to be replaced ASAP. This was the first red flag, so I decided to look further. The coolant reservoir was bone dry, mind you, no leaks and was not being combusted nor leaking into oil, however was not checked properly. I then decided to do a transmission service, and discovered a low fluid level, also was never checked or "certified". Not to mention the day after I drove it off the lot, the rear sway bar links were clunking, they had found the issue and resolved it for me, however "did not find" anything wrong with anything else, yet the vehicle still had issues with slight vibrations. All of these issues, with bad paint, at a price of $19000, and to be honest, a pretty lousy wash and clean, these should should have all been taken care of. After many many visits, weeks without the vehicle, and many frustrating phone calls/conversations, they offered me my old Chrysler 300 back. Not only did they charge me over $4500 in trade fees, basically resetting my vehicle loan after promising a straight trade back with the "SAME" amount owed back, I received the vehicle with a leaky radiator, and a battery that was needed to be replaced after 7 days... There is hail damage that they refuse to fix due to "insurance coverage" yet the claim I had on the Acura ILX using MY insurance, covered the ENTIRE vehicle and was able to be completely fixed. Overall I'm very disappointed with the techs, service, and management of Apple Autos, I will never go here again and will make sure everyone in my circle along with others know that Apple Autos will run them into the ground and to never back a company like this up. This place is my absolute nightmare. I could write a novel about all the misconduct, illegal activity, lies and scams they did while trying to sign me for a new car. They hard checked my credit 17 TIMES and added almost 8 grand on my loan without telling- that's just the beginning. So my broke down and needed to get a new one quickly. That being said I drove the 4 hours to Shakopee and get a test drive. I found a car I loved. The business guy Ramon was the absolute worse. He said it would only take 10 minutes to run my credit and to have a seat. After two hours he finally comes out and joking says, "We got your approved for 35 percent." I have a 720 credit score and asked again what did I get approved for and he said you got approved that's all that matters come in and sign the paperwork. He wouldn't tell me what I got approved for, didn't tell me what packages he put on my loan, didn't show me any documents and kept saying sign this I'll explain later. I was so excited to get a new car that I should of kept pestering him to tell me right now what I am signing for. I told him I want the basic maintenance package just so I am covered. He said, "Sure we can go over it once everything is signed." When you get bad car salesman's vibes you should run. So finally after everything was signed I took a look at the loan and there was 7800 dollars of extra car packages, paint jobs, interior packages, gap coverage etc on top of what I approved and actually asked for. I was in shock.... he had some nerve doing that and he made me feel bad for asking what I am signing and wouldn't explain it. The car is only worth 13k and it's used. Why would I ever want 10k of packages on it? Let alone having it be 200 dollars extra a month for 7 years. I am unemployed without a car I just need something to get me to work. So I left the car on the lot and came back with my lawyer and we had a meeting. I caught him scamming me, he owned up to it and said he will change the loan and take everything off if I return this paperwork back within a month. Two months go by and I get a text from a random number saying, "If you don't come by the dealership today I am reporting the car stolen to the police." I responded and said who is this? It was Ramon. He started threatening me. I told him my mom just passed away and that it's 6pm even if I was in town I live over 4 hours away. I kept asking what was going on because I have the loan in my hands, I made my first payment on the car and I have the insurance cards with the maintenance packages that came in the mail. I kept asking what was going on and he wouldn't tell me or give me any information. Weeks go by and I make a second payment on the car and I get a bunch of drunk texts from Ramon saying vulgar things about me and the car. For two more weeks he texted me this things daily. Then I get a call from a family member who I haven't spoke to in 15 years. They said hey sorry to reach out but a car dealership called me and said they called the cops about the car. They told me Ramon looked up my family members and called them. I called my lawyer and he called the bank. Turns out Apple Auto NEVER SENT IN MY PAPERWORK!! I called the General manager and asked what's going on since no one has called me once or informed me about what's going on with the loan that I've now made three payments towards. Even though he added the almost 8k of extra packages on. The general manager said I need to fly to MN and sign the paperwork today. They screwed up and they need to find a new bank to do the loan through. Not only did they lie to my family, this whole situation has fraud written all over it. I was dumb founded and speechless. I flew back to MN that week and they ran my credit 4 more times!!!! I signed the paperwork, the new guy took all the fraudulent stuff off and talked me through everything that I would be signing. It was the correct amount a month that I thought I was getting to begin with. I fly back home and as soon as I get off the plane I check my texts and guess who is texting me? The dealership!! THEY SCREWED UP AGAIN. He said it's over my head but aomething got screwed up with the contract and you need to be here by close today to get it signed. I said, "Listen you ran my credit over 21 times now, this is the third car loan I'll be signing for this exact car, I've spent almost 10k in travel expenses and you made me come back when I was burying my mom. What is actually going on here?" He couldn't tell me what was going on or why I needed to sign a third contract. All in all this place is a scam. They have taken 20 points off my credit score, scammed me, lied to me, stole money from me, called my family I don't talk to, and texted me things that would make anyone blush. They never once explained anything to be at all and I will never be going back. read more

Dropped our car off to be serviced on Friday night. We dropped the keys off in the drop off box so it would be ready for them to work on it early Saturday morning. Everything seem to be going great. Called Saturday to see how it was going. They said they would not be able to get it done by the end of Saturday. They needed more time and would have it done by Monday afternoon. I said ok. I called Monday afternoon to make sure it was done and tell them I was picking it up. The service guy said they hadn't even started on the car. What? So I wasted my time driving it there and back home and wasted 4 days of my time. I had to get it into another place. This was my second attempt to get this oil leak fixed with this company. A lot of promises and not a lot of follow up. Very disappointed. I even spoke with the general manager and the problem was not fixed. read more

First off, my wife and I have bought our last two vehicles from Apple Ford Shakopee, and have always had a 5-Star experience. I brought my Flex into the dealership a few weeks ago for an oil change, tires and I noticed the left blinker light was out. I mentioned this to the guy that came out to take the vehicle for the repairs and asked that this be fixed. When I got the car back, I read through the paperwork and it stated the tires were good (not sure if this was after the new ones we added, or if they were still decent and I bought tires too early) - not a huge deal since I felt I needed new tires. However as we're driving around town later that evening, I noticed the left blinker was still out. Had my wife bring it back in last week and they replaced it. Just a little disappointed this one thing I mentioned (which was annotated on the paperwork as well) wasn't completed. As I said I still plan on bringing my vehicles back, I like the customer service and the staff. I just think this was a slight oversight that shouldn't have been missed. read more

Was disapointed in my ford Lease. Overall the Ford touch system was full of flaws. Customer service was fair to poor. I felt like I was always trying to be sold a new lease starting in the middle of the current lease. They really try to get you to come to the dealership whenever possible for obvious reasons. I had my truck in for a full brake replacement. They used aftermarket parts. The brakes squeal! Had in back twice. The day I picked up the truck after having all four brakes completely replaced, the pedal went completely to the floor! Back into the shop to have that fixed. After picking up the truck the second time, the brake pedal was better but not a firm as it was prior to having the brakes replaced. Now the brakes squeal. The truck was brought back to have this looked at. They claim they have fixed it. Backing out of the parking spot at the dealership, same squealing! They put seven miles on the truck when it was in their possession and averaged 8 mpg! I have the suspicion that all they did was try to seat the pads by either riding the brakes or jackrabbit starts and hard on the brakes. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. They have the slowest service I have ever experienced. I bought a car here and was completely lied to about the condition it was in. My car buying experience was complete crap. I will never buy a vehicle from this location or chain again. I will never have any services done by this dealer in the future.
