Scheduled me an appointment then personally helped me out earlier than my appointment and fixed my issues with my iPhone. Walked me thru everything and set me up. Couldn't have been smoother and better. Also has someone else work out an issue with my MacBook Pro. Fixed it brought it back and explains the issue incase it happens again. Fixed. Nice and quick and easy. iPad kid station for my son while I was fixing and communicating with the staff. My dad was getting his battery replaced when we first went in it was packed and took 20 minutes to get someone's attention then when we set something up we waited another half hour to get a text that they were ready for us to come back for his appointment. The guy we originally met with was very helpful but i don't remember his name. Now after we came back a little more than an hour the guy that gave us the phone back, Levi gave me attitude on my questions because he said that the battery broke in the phone while they were trying to replace it, so my dad got reimbursed with a new phone but didn't get the old one back to get his info off of and since the first guy didn't tell him to back it up he needed to get his info back but couldn't without the phone that Levi said we couldn't get back. Worse experience ever with Allison at the Apple Store. Clearly she's burned out and should no longer do customer service. The entire time talked but did not listen whatsoever. Explained numerous times my issue and was constantly cutoff and she stated each time something different and was deflecting. My advice possibly try third party providers. Someone critiqued Sergio in Yelp and gave him five stars. I regret we weren't fortunate to work with Sergio for my phone problem. Last week it took 30 minutes to sign up to check in only to learn we were looking at a 3 1/2 hour wait. Thus we chose to make an appointment for today at a designated time. Our Apple helper was over 15 minutes late. What's the sense in having appointments? Our server checked the Apple phone battery and said everything was OK with my phone. Everything is not OK with my phone but it is obvious to me that Apple does not hold its customers in high regard. If you choose to wait for 3 1/2 hours you are given the opportunity to sit on little square boxes no cushioning and totally uncomfortable and very difficult for elderly people to sit for hours. The ventilation -- there is no ventilation. Acoustics are terrible. The employees of Apple have a holier than thou attitude as all of us are sitting on boxes eagerly awaiting for assistance. Here's a company worth trillions of dollars and we're at its mercy. By far the worst customer service in all respects. Apple needs to consider opening more facilities in the Phoenix metro area to assist people who have Apple phone problems since half the population is using Apple. Make a play area for the screaming kids. Add comfortable seating while waiting for hours. It's so unacceptable to me that Apple gets away with this type of service. read more

One star feels like one too many. My parents recently purchased three iPhones for a rough total of $2100. The first time my mother (who is 55+ years old mind you) went to use her iPhone cord charger, she plugged it in and the cord all of a sudden started making an on and off noise (shorting out). When she pulled the phone off the charger the cord had burn marks on it. At this point, she thought the first place to take it was the T-Mobile store. The gentleman at the T-Mobile store advised my parents to take the cord to the apple store at Arrowhead Mall, as they would surely give her a new cord no problem. The gentleman at T-Mobile even opted to give her a cord for free, but still told her to bring the cord back to Apple. Upon entering the apple store, a man named "Will" came up and asked them if they needed to make a reservation. My father then began to explain to "Will" what had happened to the cord. Will looked at the cord, and quickly stated the cord had "green residue" and was CLEARLY damaged from moisture. "Will" advised that apple would not replace the cord because they felt that it was my parents neglect. "Will" then stated they could talk to a technician and have him look at it and who would likely say the same thing. My parents stated that would be fine. They were told the wait would be 10 minutes which easily turned into 30 minutes. The tech came up, and looked at the cord and IMMEDIATELY said the same thing as "Will". The tech and "Will" repeatedly stated that they were not accusing my parents of getting the cord wet, however they would NOT replace it. When my dad stated "so you will not replace the cord", they stated "oh yes we will replace it for $17". Both "Will" and the tech were extremely condescending. My parents even enjoyed the sarcastic "have a great day" from both employees. Even when my mother stated that they were likely never going to buy another apple product, both Will and the tech stated "that is fine with us". One can only assume they have said this to plenty of people. Now let's look at this logically. Why would two older people who just bought $2100 in iPhones try and scam apple out of a $17 cord? The main issue with this store is the general disrespect of their customers. My parents are elderly, honest, and not the type to make complaints. However if you treat them like they are second class citizens trying to scam you out of a $17 cord, I think it would upset anyone. I'm not trying to insinuate that Apple should just replace any product that people bring in, I'm saying they should at least treat people with dignity and respect, especially if those people are being reasonable, rational, and respectful. read more

I'm surprised to find so many 4 and 5 star reviews. First, this place usually looks like a zoo. So many people crammed into the store with so few employees doesn't meld well. Additionally, getting help in this place is near impossible. I've come here a few times just to pick up a phone. Needless to say, 15-20 minutes go by before anything gets done. Lastly, the employees act as though there is no rush nor are they concerned about their manners. Several rude employees will give you the impression that it isn't an "one time thing." All-in-all: Avoid this place and order online. It'll save you the hassle of dealing with the employees and the zoo that they manage. read more

He was beyond rude. I was disgusted with his behavior. All I was trying to do was ask him a quick question to see if I really needed an appointment. He quickly snapped at me and cut me off saying he could ONLY schedule appointments and couldn't hold up the line to answer ANY questions. (There was no one behind me) once my phone got switched out and I was waiting for iCloud I was watching him and he was answering questions left and right. He was completely uncalled for. Get some friendly people to greet as they set the tone for the entire visit. Then again Apple doesn't care about their customers anyway. Very disappointed in Apple over all. I was very happy with my experience here. I did not have an appt and I know how that is sometimes with walking in and having to wait for a long time. I only waited 10 minutes. My two young children were entertained by the Apple Pencil and iPad drawing while we waited. Then when I was having my iPhone diagnosed the technician asked if the kids wanted to do a kids coding class while we swapped my iPhone. They enjoyed that class and it made it a very smooth experience for me as a mom worried they would get impatient waiting for the service. They swapped my phone so I was ensured my issue wouldn't happen again while I travelled to Asia this month. The peace of mind knowing my phone won't turn off and never turn back on again during my vacation is priceless. Thank you so much for a smooth experience! FIVE STARS! read more

Ok so came in for the battery replacement on my IPhone 6plus. Had my sister literally video my first time here about 2 weeks back. Had a small crack on bottom right corner. Small screw at bottom was sticking out. Fella says they CAN fix the glass and put it all back right how not should b e for 149.00. Yup, exactly what I figured. I had already read the terms for battery replacement. Fast forward to today. Lisa, comes and immediately says oh you have a 3 party repair?(fixed at Verizon) 45.00. Bucks! She goes on to say that battery replacement is totally NORMAL and that all phones may some point have to be replaced. Oh and since I had someone else fix the glass no guarantees! Wasn't pleasant at all. I just look in amazement, yup sister videoed her too. She goes to the back..... 15 minutes go by and here she comes out. Minute later a fella comes out and says that oh you had a 3 Party glass repair? Doesn't look like we can fix it since the screw is slightly sticking out. We won't even touch it. If I cloud give a zero star I would because they do t even deserve one. Worst customer service I ever encountered in my life. I went to get two of my devices fixed up because the Face ID is not working properly. An associate approached me and asks me what what I needed help with and I told her that the facial recognition in two devices is not working so she sets up an appointment with a "genius tech" but the wait time is 30 mins to 1 hour and I said okay then I received a text 1 hour later that I was ready for my appointment to cOme back to the store and let an associate know I was there and I did. Then I'm waiting one more hour for the tech to come out and help me aand I see many of them coming out but none of them is coming out to assist me! So I walk around the store because use my son is getting impatient as I was of waiting. Then he starts crying and yelling so o couldn't wait any longer and left! The worst thing that nobody asked me after if I needed help at least to go look for someone to help me. Useless and lazy associates. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely an apple user. But this location needs to get things together. Don't be fooled by the sleek floor design and masses of people gathering together. I was sorely disappointed on multiple levels, all of which relate to professionalism. When I walked into the store, everything appeared chaotic. The general set up of the store was what you would expect from any other Apple Store, but people trying to buy products, get to the Genius Bar, and get help had no idea where to go (myself included). Thus, a long line had formed out the door to which most people could only hope was the proper place to go for what they needed. I had an appointment for the Genius Bar today, thanks to my phone glitching out on multiple occasions and freezing with multiple apps. I had previously wiped my phone and set it up from a backup AND set it up as a new phone on two different occasions. None of which helped my glitchy phone issues. I arrived around 4:20 PM to check-in, was checked in around 4:25 PM, and waited for my 4:30 appointment. And waited. And waited some more. During my time in the store, it appeared that there were not enough individuals on the floor to assist people. As I observed the floor for a longer period of time, I began recognizing the lack of professional dress. I get we're in a mall. I really do. I also get we're starting summer in Arizona. But that does not excuse the lack of appropriate attire for employees. At my previous Apple Store (located at an outdoor mall), employees were expected to wear their blue shirts with khaki or black pants. Although employees had matching shirts, some were wearing shorts or other attire that otherwise detracted from the overall professional feel of the store. When I was finally greeted by a tech, it appeared he automatically assumed I did not know how to troubleshoot my own phone. I've done my own upgrades on my 2010 MacBook Pro (which is running fantastic, thanks) and am pretty familiar with simple troubleshooting problems. I've also had issues with my previous iPhone, so I know the drill. I was already frustrated with the wait time (not all of us have over an hour to spare on a Wednesday afternoon/evening), and had repeated myself at least two or three times when telling him and another tech the trouble shooting I had already done. When having to erase my phone and set it up again, the tech asked if it would be okay to go start on the next time slot. Under the impression that he would be able to work with two of us simultaneously, I agreed. However, he completely ignored me for the next thirty minutes and I was stuck with a phone that told me it was waiting for the tech to continue set up. Something that could have been finished in 10 minutes or less took over 30 minutes. The Apple Store at Arrowhead may be fine for purchasing products, but makes appointments at the Genius Bar very difficult. I did not feel valued as a customer, and felt as if employees and techs on the floor could use additional training in professionalism while also revamping their procedure for Genius Bar protocol if possible. As of right now, work being done at the Genius Bar is inefficient. read more

Jessica the manager at Apple is not only rude but also won't apologize when she has made a mistake. First I had an appointment and they were about 30/40 mins late helping me. When an associate finally did help me he couldn't answering any of my questions are explain to me why my device wasn't covered after I had just left my carrier and they advised me it was. I asked to speak to someone who could which was Jessica and she explained to me that it was impossible for me to have coverage on my phone basically saying that my phone carrier was wrong and I would have to pay out of pocket for the fixture. I left and went to my carrier company and they not only printed out my protection plan but explained to me how I'm cover and what apple services are suppose to provide to help this issue. I went back and Jessica not only accused me of being rude but didn't apologize I have a 3 year old I'm laughing around and another child I don't have time to go back fourth between companies. She then explained that oh yea I could get my phone fixed and I had certain papers. Never was brought up in the first interaction and nothing of the sort was told to me. What was told to me was that it was impossible to have coverage on my phone and it just couldn't or wouldn't happen. She also was going back a fourth with me i front of other customers and accused me of lying. Very unprofessional and is not a good look on apples behalf. I read so many of these reviews and now I'm thinking the lady that people are speaking of that's rude at this store is her. Won't ever go back to that Apple store again. Came in to get help with an activation lock..never really been in an Apple store before, kinda odd to see employees just hanging out playing with gear and sitting around, but I guess that's the vibe they are going for. I was waiting for a manager for awhile but everyone was really friendly there..especially the managers..wish I remembered their names! They really were sincere in trying to help, and after about an hour, finally got the issue resolved. My iphone6 locator got broken some how on my gps, if I got lost no thanks to my Apple phone would never get where I need to. It's the Apple Store so expect a wait. However, I kept a positive attitude and rolled with the wait time. Went in to get my phone checked for some speaker issues. I first met with Juan who's was positively helpful and patient. However due to not having my photos not on the iCloud he made a reservation for me to come in a few days later. I came in on a Monday at 4. Checked in and waited about ten minutes for my appointment. I met Effers I believe his name was and he was great even after a long day with the amount of people these Apple employees see. We restored to factory settings and seem to solve my issues. I left for an hour in a half while they replace my battery. Came back and Jaliza helped check me out and was the cherry on the top of my first experience in a Apple store even if total time spent was about four hours. We came to the Apple store because the AirPods I bought in May stopped working on the right side. We came into the store and were greeted immediately. We told the gentleman our issue, he asked us to walk to the middle of the room towards a guy who was wearing the blue gloves, his name is Chris and he would check us in. After speaking to Chris, he advised that we would need to speak to a technician and it would take 40 minutes to an hour or I could return at 4:45 which was 4 hours away. I let him know that I would wait the 40 minutes since we live an hour away. He took our information, said we would receive a text when they were ready for us and in the meantime, we could leave the store and grab lunch. That's exactly what I did. I came back at the 30 minute mark and waited... at the 45 minute mark, I asked one of the guys to look at where I was on the list. He stated it would be another 1-2 hours!!!! What??? Unacceptable. I let him know that if that was the case, I would not have waited. I let him know what Chris informed me and he said that Chris was on lunch and he must've been mistaken. He said he would see what he could do and then let us know he would check us in and it would then be another 10-15 minutes. Awesome! 25 more minutes passed and I asked the same guy if we were next.... and we finally got help from Jacob. We were at the Apple store for almost two hours. Thanks to Jacob, he was able to replace one of the AirPods that wasn't working. They are getting a 3 rating because of the miscommunication and long wait time. While I was there, at least 4 people came up to to see how we were doing which was nice. As a customer and observing our surroundings, there were plenty of associates standing around in clusters... looking as though they were just socializing. I'm sure they all have their own duties but the perception is that they aren't doing anything and lots of people need help. read more

My wife just received a brand new iPhone 7plus, after 4 days home button cracked. Took it in and an employee said she pressed it too hard then the manager comes out after a 3 hour wait and wants her to pay $150 to repair it. The iPhone was not dropped, misused or mishandled. The manager said sometimes there are faulty phones but since she got it at Verizon he did not want to help her. Apple continues to make faulty products. Maybe time to go to Samsung. lousy service. you call the store to check on status the call goes to apple tech support somewhere in the world. Then tech support calls the store and they cannot reach a human in store. they do not call you once your computer is ready. they promise computer will be ready by so and so date and no one calls . so you are clueless. then you have to take appointment with the genius bar which you do not get right away, in person just to get its status. even though your house in 30 minutes away and total round trip is like 1 hour and spending time in the store another 1 hour ... so total 2 hours time waste just to check status. they are good at one thing, calling promptly when they want to charge you extra money to sell their products. apple genius bar i don't know if it is just this store. I knew I should make an appointment to get my iPhone 6 battery replaced. I called the phone number, tried to bypass the automated recordings and got a live person. Only problem is it's the Apple Online store. And yes, she recommends I make an appointment as the Arrowhead store is busy. But, she had to transfer me to technical support for them to see when there's an open appt. After a 30 min wait with awful music, I finally gave up. I'm sure that's their intention.
