Hubby was having a glitch with his email on his phone. We dropped by the Verizon store at 43rd & Bell Rd and TJ met us at the entrance door. We sat down and explained the problem. While I was looking for the password for email, TJ was reviewing our account (unbeknownst to us) and discovered he could lower our monthly bill! I expect that if I walk into a Verizon store, I am going to be opening my wallet, right? It's a sales store. That's what they are supposed to do. This place is a great location. They are extremely helpful and friendly. We walked in on a Monday around 11. Xavier greeted us right away and was able to answer our questions about the phones, internet and watches for our kids. There were some issues getting our new phones activated and he was able to figure it all out in the store before we left which I greatly appreciated as the last location didn't and I ended up spending a day figuring it out on my own. We had our two kids with us and they did great during the time it took us. Xavier gave them water bottles which they enjoyed. Found an office with people who understood the problem, recommended a less expensive way to accomplish the goal, and successfully made the necessary account changes to accommodate that. Service! Service! Service! Excellent! Value: good trade for the price. Took a while, but in a comfortable place, they accepted my dog as well. We came in today to specifically come see (Mike) he is the manager there and has made every visit extremely smooth for my husband and I. Mike is thorough and takes his time in explaining every option. In our case today, we came in with what we thought a "loss" on our water damage phone... mike came around and gave us a couple options and reviewed every single one of them. First yelp review ever. I walked in today just looking to buy a lighting IPHONE charger. The associate that "assisted" me kindly took me over and grabbed a USB-C charger. I calmly said no "lightning iPhone charger" He then asked "buddy do you even understand what I'm saying?" I said yes I need that one and I point to the lightning iPhone charger. And went to grab it and he pushed my hand away from grabbing it and said again. " buddy do you understand what I'm telling you this is a lightning charger." I said no sir I need the iPhone lightning THAT is a usbc. Wasn't even worth the money at that point. I went to the smoke shop right next to it got exactly what I asked for and had great customer service. Funny that that Verizon has an employee that sells the phones and devices to help with mobile phones and can't even differentiate the difference between the major two chargers. I seemed to misplace my long iPhone charging cable and kept putting off buying another because I imagined I would find it. I was wrong. I've got two phones: one for work, one personal. I was utilizing my lone, short cable between the two phones until I finally stopped procrastinating and went into a Verizon store. There were only a few people ahead of me, which was perfect because it allowed the time to check out the available accessories as I waited my turn to be assisted. I can't remember the gentleman's name that helped me, but he was fast and efficient. By the time I was back in my car... I was already so thankful to finally have a new cable. It's amazing the little tasks that we put on the back burner because we can't seem to find the time, when they realistically take no time at all. Went in looking to change plan and get a new phone.. Rep was not helpful at all. Rested his head on his hand while typing as if we were keeping him up. Shoes were untied and never introduced himself. When he pulled up our account, he said he had nothing for us except to reduce our account by $25 by removing some premium apps and hotspots, which we don't have. When we explained we don't have those features his response was only "hmmm". ??? We left saying we may need to go to a competitor and he responded, ok I understand. ???? This is the second time in two years I have bought a phone at this location. Paul was an excellent representative. A great sense of Covid comfort in this store. Chairs are 6 feet away from the salesmen, plenty of hand sanitizer and screen sanitizer around. Paul was very knowledgeable about the phone I bought and he was very kind about transferring all of my data for me. The entire process was painless with the exception of the price of the phone. Hate to give even one star. Son with a dead phone went into store thinking it was Verizon. It definitely was not. Instead of being open and honest, the salesman didn't replace under insurance through Assurion, they signed him up for a 3 year plan WITHOUT account owner approval, me. They should have told him they were not assurion, and where to receive real service through insurance. No brainer since they sell the Assurion product. They refused to refund or do anything about the probably illegal transaction. Spoke to jerk manager Angelo, complete waste of time. Had to call Verizon, who apologized repeatedly for the bad conduct of this retailer. Verizon is making it right despite the retailer refusal. So sad that Cellular Sales, the company, doesn't seem to have any ethics so that Verizon has to make the customer whole. Stay far away from Cellular Sales! My screen had almost completely blanked out on old phone. I walked in to the 43rd Ave/Bell Rd. store and got completely taken care of with no waiting. Tommy helped me and also painstakingly and multiple times tried viewing information from my old phone to transfer as much as possible to my new one. Mission accomplished as he was able to transfer all contacts, photos and videos which is most important. I seriously doubt anyone else would have put in the effort to bother with my old phone as many attempts as he made to do so. While he loves LG phones and talked me into getting one for the benefit of my needs/wants, I ended up going back again today to trade it in for an iPhone 11. Matt's intentions were good but I just don't do well with change and I'm not tech savvy. I wanted what I was comfortable with; an iPhone. Unfortunately Matt was not there today to help me, but I was lucky enough to have Paul help me out. I'm sure returns and trades aren't their favorite things to do, but Paul was really good about it. Having relocated, I looked for a 'decent' Verizon Store (being a Verizon Guy since moving from IL). Then I walked into Cellular Sales on 43rd & Bell. The first gentleman that I encountered was Matt (I believe the Store Manager). Within 10 minutes, I had a new phone and 'all the accoutrements' as well as a FANTASTIC repertoire with a man that could sell chocolate candy to a Keto connoisseur. It's not that Matt is a good salesman. It's that he is unparalleled at what he does. Over the course of 1 hour, I had my phone, a young lady that frequents the store had her 2nd phone, and Matt still had enough gusto to answer the phone 'at least' 7 times during the dual transactions. Go try to find that at another store? You won't! I have since been back to the store no fewer than 10 times with a multitude of questions as well as several purchases, and the rest of the staff is almost as prolific as Matt. I now have 2 IPhone 12's (I definitely don't need a 2nd phone) and ALL the add-ons that can be imagined. As a side note, the staff DID NOT force ANY of the extra stuff on me! I bought the items because I am appreciative of ALL their help. If you get a chance, stop by. You'll never go anywhere else to get any Verizon equipment!
