If I could rate Apple 0 starts, I would. I'm formally resubmitting my complaint regarding my MacBook Pro and how Apple has handled my case. Since my initial complaint, I've tried resolving this through Apple Support and an in-store Apple visit, but the outcome has only increased my frustration with both customer service and product support. I purchased this MacBook Pro for over $2,000 less than six months ago. It has been carefully maintained, never dropped, and never mishandled. Despite this, a screen crack developed unexpectedly. Based on how carefully it has been treated, I do not believe this damage was caused by misuse or accidental damage. After multiple conversations with Apple representatives including Samuel, Senior Representative Isaiah, and Aldo (the in-person Orland Mall representative), as well as an in-person visit at Orland Mall where we spoke with Nina, the in-person specialist, Apple has continued to refuse to repair the device without charge. This experience has left me feeling that Apple does not fully stand behind the quality of its products, even when issues arise with relatively new devices. In several conversations, when Apple representatives were unable or unwilling to answer difficult questions or hear my concerns, the call was ended abruptly. Even when I allowed them to speak, I was not given the same opportunity, and I felt dismissed rather than heard. At this point, it is clear to me that Apple does not stand behind its products in the way a premium brand should. Because of this experience, I can no longer support Apple or confidently recommend their products to others. I've been an Apple customer for over 11 years and have invested thousands into Apple products. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly impacted my trust in the brand, and I am sharing this so others are aware. read more

Absolutely pathetic. I had a preordered pick up. Most Apple Store have it set up where you check in with an employee and scan your phone so the item can be brought out. Here they scanned and told me to go stand in a second line that did not move. The employees were milling about and no items were brought out. I asked for the manager. He came out and was immediately aggressive and defensive. Rather than sort out the issue he scolded me and told me if I kept saying he was incompetent he would have me escorted out of the store. Then a spot opened up and he told me to scan my code to get my item. Another customer commented on the manager's incompetence and I agreed that he was the worst I ever saw. He came over and canceled my order. That was when I did cuss him out. He maliciously waisted my time. This is easily the worst Apple Store in the Chicago area. Only to be sent home with no loaner phone. No means of communication. I explained many times that I live alone and my drive home was 50 min. This was very reckless and dangerous!!! A really BIG thanks to Tim, Alex and Jamie! These guys are the true rockstars of this Apple store. Walked in the night before to see if I could trade in two OLD iPads for a new one. I was told yes. My husband and I planned to return the next day and we did. I chose my pretty rose gold iPad air. Ran into a problem; one of my iPads was a breeze to erase and shut down. The one that was much older had not been touched and therefore, that passcode was wiped from my memory. I was blessed with my own little team of techs that were very patient and worked tirelessly trying many different ways to erase and shutdown the iPad using the computer. Nothing worked. I was only able to trade in one iPad and left stuck with the other one. I still left happy because of the quality of caring service that I received in this store from Tim, Alex and Jamie. read more

Hey fellow Yelp users! I went to this Apple Store location in the Orland Square Mall on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 around 2:40 pm. I scheduled an appointment with them in advance and showed up a little after 2:40 pm. I would say it took about 10-20 minutes past my appointment time to get some help. A huge shout to Zdenek for making my experience the best it can possibly be. He was really patient with me & went over all the different phone options, payment options, and now I'm in love with my pink iPhone 15. This man needs a raise ASAP! Keep up the amazing work!!! NOW...this is where things started to go downhill. An employee named Bill if I remember correctly came out of nowhere. He was trying to make the process faster which I appreciated at first, but I'm guessing he assumed I wanted to transfer all my stuff like the other few customers that were at the same table as me, but I wasn't. My experience was a total of about 3 HOURS, which in my opinion I find absolutely ridiculous. I honestly could've just easily upgraded my phone at T-Mobile in like less than an hour or two at max. This is an absolute pathetic joke of a store. I busted my phone from a 30' drop drove an hour for them to tell me yeah it's unrepairable but you got apple care we will get you a new one. Great and all but they don't have any in store so they have to order it and that takes a week. I say that's fine cause I'm working crazy 13 hrs on night shift anyway so for a week I'm busy. Well what they don't tell you is if it comes in early and your not there in 5 days to get it because they told you it would take a week 7 days then they cancel the reservation and give it to the next person in line to get one... Then when I come in the day after the 5th they tell me first off they have to redo the diagnostics which okay, then oh we have to order a new one and it will take two or three more days to get it in.... I had an appointment at the Apple Store in Orland Park, due to my iPhone 13 overheating and being extremely hot that I thought it had burned me when I held the fun to my ear. Reminded me of a pressing comb. Jovoun was the person that was assisting me, he was very dismissive and rude and told me that the phone was overheating because I had apps taking up 77% of my battery. He then told me to review some type of analytic data on my phone to try to prove his point. He said my only option was to erase my iPhone again and not to reload any 3rd party apps. When I asked to speak with a manager he laughed , went over to someone else on the floor laughing and introduced me to Dina the store manager. She didn't' even know where to locate the battery percentage on my phone. I told them I would call and complain about the phone overheating. I didn't think my issue was a laughing matter! read more

My Mac Air computer screen broke 6 weeks after I bought the device, cracked when my husband picked it up, no accident, no one damaged it. It just cracked. So we made an appointment at an Apple store 45 minutes away and drove out for our 3:20 appointment. It didn't go well. I left in tears, but my husband stayed to sort things out. The initial wait, even with an appointment time, was awful. I'm a cancer patient and I was a nervous wreck waiting in line for over 30 minutes outside the store, in a crowded mall, with people walking by, some with masks pulled down, and others crowding me in line. I'm retrospect, I should have stayed home, since I wasn't needed. I went out to my car after we were in the store for 10 minutes. My husband took over and worked with a salesman and the manager to try and resolve the issue of a screen that broke through normal use, 6 weeks after I bought the nearly $1,000 device. I will never go back, but thankfully I won't have to. My husband agreed to drive to the store in 5 days to collect my computer with a new screen, a screen that costs nearly half what I paid for a new computer. We've been an Apple family for 20 years, but I'm done with Apple after this computer. This was a terrible experience and Apple has definitely lost a customer. read more

I got an appointment using the Apple app, I arrived early and was told to check in 15 minutes before the appointment., however I noticed several employees not helping customers. Upon returning l was greeted, seated and told to wait for a salesperson/ technician. Within minutes l got my new device and headed home. Apple has great products and services, my only complaint is sales locations are far apart, I would also envision remote diagnostics with replacement devices being delivered by trusted sources. read more

Today, I visited the Apple Store at Orland Park Square Mall, IL., to make several purchases. A salesperson directed me to another, and the final salesperson, Mohammed, instructed me to return to the first person I had spoken with. When I explained that I had already talked to that person, he accused me of being difficult. Mohammed's service lacked patience and respect; his demeanor was outright accusatory when he said to me, "Oh, you're just trying to be disrespectful." As a customer, I shouldn't be seen as the problem. I reported my experience to the manager. After that, I left the store without making any purchases--I didn't feel like it anymore. This was not the first negative experience at that store. I think you're trying to process too many customers, and they no longer care about customer experience. There were two of the kindest employees that helped me today. I was having problems with my phone not connecting to my cellular data or my WiFi and they fixed it in five seconds. It was dire to get my phone back up and running because I have frequent communication with my cancer care team and they sent me a message I couldn't access. They helped me three hours before my set appointment. The amount of compassion and care these employees showed me was above and beyond what I expected. I am forever grateful for them going out of their way to help me. I hope they get big raises!! read more

Well I was bored and wanted to explore the southern suburbs of Orland Park Tinley Park other than that it's an interesting Mall a mix of the high-end retailer stores not the anchor stores like Macy's or JCPenney but they had Williams-Sonoma in here and the right now just sitting down at the food court exploring. Entered the store today to replace my son's lost charging case to his AirPods. The young man at the entrance asked for the serial number and claimed without it, they can't sell a replacement. In my mind, that doesn't make sense as he uses my charger to recharge his pods. So I played along and inquired about ways to get the serial number, and his response, "the box or the case, without either, must buy a new set." With the that, he turns my son and I away. BULLSHIT! I walked inside anyway and happened upon a supervisor, and he immediately confirmed the serial number was accessible by its connect device, and retrieved it. But when I told him about the negative experience provided by the previous employee, he then refused to sell me a new AirPod. I WILL KOST DEFINITELY report this experience to corporate!!!! read more

When we did see Randy, he was a good listener and was able to fix my issue with my iMac not installing the new software updates. Though we ended up wiping the whole computer, I was fine with it because I didn't have any important data, it was a computer I had sitting around for a bit. I promised to give an update on my negative zero review dated 2/15/2023. I received a call from Greg, a Senior Manager at Apple on Wednesday afternoon. He assured me that he would take care of the problem and he did so expeditiously. They replaced the computer battery and offered to ship it to me, but I opted to pick it up today. Ahmad provided excellent customer service when I picked it up today. Side note: the replaced battery has a 90-day guarantee. I signed off on it, but expect it to last longer. read more

I made an appointment to get my battery replaced. I waited 10 minutes to sign in. The guy had the nerve to say I was late to my appointment. An hour later I learned the battery was not in stock. I was promised 2-3 weeks for it to arrive, but after 4 weeks of waiting, I called the store. I waited 25 minutes on hold to speak to a real human. Yep, it arrived, but no one told me. So in order to get the new battery, I have 7 days to go back. No appointment allowed. Walk in only. Might take 1-3 hours to get battery replaced. 1 star for lousy service. read more

Very irritating experience at Apple in Orland today.. Atmosphere unwelcoming. Two of four associates were rude. The one at the door was condescending. Another in the store was dismissive. Other two associates who assisted with repair appointment were very nice / helpful. Online appointment information does not prepare you for a 70 min. minimum wait time on a simple front screen phone repair; plus there is also the wait time before they even start the repair. Store not set up for a comfortable experience with such long wait times. Crates/ wooden boxes to sit on are not chairs. Pieces of wood with legs, no back support might work for 15 min. but not for a 90 min. experience.. Definitely geared towards a younger customer.. encourage you to train associates on assisting "boomers," online scheduling should prepare customers for their experience, and offer a comfortable place to sit. Will not return.. plan to explore other options for having my phone fixed. read more

They tell you that you won't need an appointment for phone repairs, that it'll only be an hour, but when you show up to get your phone repaired they want you to leave it overnight. Who is willing to leave their phone overnight in this day and age? Just require an appointment. Don't tell me I don't need one and then make it impossible for me to get the service I need in a timely manner without an appointment. This is my second trip to get this taken care of in the last five days and they still can't help me without me being without a phone overnight. And they told me to show up whenever, as if I don't have work like everyone does. No duh I'd love to show up in the morning, but I have work. Made appointment to change my iPhone battery. They tell me to give them an hour or so. I go back an hour later. They state we will swap out the phone we can't change the battery, because there is water damage. No calls or notifications to the swap. This phone has never been in or near any water not even a drop. Needless to say I wasted two hours of my time with their con games. Horrible experience. I have a bricked iPhone and I don't remember my iCloud password. You can't warranty replace a phone if you can't provide the password, which is frustrating but I guess prevents theft. The tech seemed confused by this situation and didn't have any solution. We tried swapping SIM cards and a few other things, but he wasn't able to reset my password. Now, I'm locked out of my account for up to 13(!) more days, and I'll face a further delay for shipping of the new phone after that. I need my phone for work and navigation. Surely a password reset shouldn't be this hard? The replacement phone was RIGHT THERE in the tech's hands, but he wasn't allowed to give it to me. If I could give zero stars, I would! I have had multiple problems with my IPhone 13 since I purchased over the telephone from AT&T. The phone drops calls, breaks up calls, has an echo on calls and frequently shows " no network connectivity " when I play pandora in my car. I have gone to several AT& T stores and they only replace the SIM card. I called Apple Support and was told twice to go the Apple Store for a trade in. I went to the Apple store in Orland Park and the Sale Rep Amanda would not even remove my Otterbox case to look at the phone. I had to ask to speak with one of the store managers. His name is Kyle. He removed the case and said they would now run diagnostic tests. Amanda then said she would run test in the back of the store for 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, I asked to speak with the store manager Kyle. Kyle then told me that there " was no hardware issues " with my phone and they do not trade in phones. Kyle offered to have me pay $1000 to purchase a new phone with no trade in. I left the store disappointed, sad and very frustrated. I then called Apple support, while still in the Orland Park mall and talked to a senior advisor Kianna. After talking with her for 40 minutes, we came up with a reasonable solution to get a new replacement IPhone 13. I am writing this review to hopefully help other customers. I definitely am very, very, very disappointed with the customer service at Orland Park Apple store. The definitely don't try to make the customer feel appreciated and only add to the customers stress level. I have cancer and I left the store feeling sick and with a headache. One of the managers helped us with a frustrating problem transferring everything from my old phone to a new one. He was so patient, knowledgeable, and personable and worked and made changes to the phone so we could fix the problem. We were not much help to him but he maintained his friendly and professional demeanor for which we were grateful. We were lucky to have this guy as so is Apple. read more

I received an IPad as a gift from my company and visited the Apple Store in Orland Park around the Christmas holidays to purchase a cover for it and some software which I wound up returning shortly afterwards. Returns do not present a problem; take a look at the Apple webpage for terms and conditions. This is a very busy store with lots going on. As most reviewers have noted they need more space and I agree with that. The associates were helpful and deserve a better worksite. Both times I visited the store it was very very busy even in the morning hours. Not sure how frequently I will be visiting, but my two visits were more than okay. read more

thanks, coty, but this new mac book pro is a complese albatross for me. it cost me over $7,000.00 and it only worked for a couple of emails when i came back from good samaritan hospital, just before i flew to naples, italy, on august 19, 2020. i have the original fedex shipping box, which reveals that the box's corner is terribly smashed, which means that this new apple macbook pro was damaged in transit from shanghai, china, to west hollywood, california. now, this compromised computer is in caserta, italy, with me. the apple store in orland hills square mall manager, scott, lied to me on august 20, 2020. scott told me that i dropped this computer and cracked the screen. this was a conjured-up lie because this computer then was still under the 14-day free return policy from apple. now, i petition apple to take back this compromised computer and return my money, 100%. also, i paid my yellow cab taxi driver $220.00 for my faire roundtrip to and from the o'hare hilton to the orland hills square mall, south of chicago. apple is liable for all of my out-of-pocket costs, and punitive damages as well. coty, please contact me about this dire situation at your earliest convenience. time is of the essence. sincerely, p.s. the fedex tracking reveals that this computer passed through shanghai...twice.why? read more

I may not be a fan of Apple or understand why this store is so popular but this store is without a doubt the most busiest place in the mall. There's tons of products to choose from, there's tons of associates on hand constantly trying to sell you stuff and they have tons of apple only or related products.
