3 stars are for service. Ambiance is totally 5 stars! If you have little ones, this is the ideal location! We did not try any of their food. We peeked at it, but didn't seem like folks were digging it. I think what this place has, is one of the cutest spaces. Large, thoughtful, cute, shop is adorable. Again, if you have young children, this is perfect. My issue is when we went in to shop (it was our last stop, still had approx $400 cash, our daughter said we are going to buy a lot, so we went in ready) and the cashier ruined our spending vibe immediately. She felt the need to come out from behind her counters/register & follow my black, 64 year old husband around. So we left, cash still in pocket. We will never go back.

Apple turnover - HARD PASS, not flaky, texture was almost soggy and apples had no flavor. You can buy this from Walmart

Ordered one apple cider donut and an apple turnover. Service is great, but the bakery items were not. The apple cider donut is made "fresh" in the MORNINGS, so when you receive them they are cold but still soft (as they should be if they were just made that morning). It's a cake donut, so be prepared for it to be a bit dense. There was no cinnamon or nutmeg flavor to the donut whatsoever. It didn't really taste like fall to me, but instead like any other donut you can grab from a donut shop elsewhere. Dare I say even Walmart.. HARD PASS!! The cashier said her favorite thing was the apple turnover. PLEASE DON'T GET THIS! I feel so lied to, it's crazy! The dough was not flaky at all and almost soggy! It was reminiscent of if they microwaved it and the texture became flat. There was a good amount of apples inside, sliced in good sizes but it also had no cinnamon flavor! Just tasted like they cooked apples over a stove with a tiny bit of sugar. So bland, I couldn't finish this. There was a huge line for the "barbeque" that day. I wouldn't really call it barbeque because it's just tri tip and pulled pork sandwiches and burgers. The entire land itself was cute but nothing to write home about. I won't be returning. Go to Rainbow Orchards for MADE TO ORDER (HOT!!) apple cider donuts.

Came here with my girlfriend and some of her friends. It was a great spot. Lots of great little shops with awesome homemade items. The donuts are so delicious. Lots of great activities. I loved walking through the roses and apples. The parking situation was great and everyone is so kind. I will definitely be back.

One of our families favorite farms to visit. This farm has something for everyone. Two shops with apples, apple cider, trinkets, fudge and unique gifts. They do have an eatery & a separate Bake shop. The food line for eatery is usually very long so get in line early. The bake shop was a short wait time each time we come. We love their apple & seasonal donuts made fresh daily. The tri tip sandwiches were really good too. Be sure to check out the family friendly trail to walk along the orchard. There are two paths the upper path is family friendly you can walk along the butterfly garden. The lower path takes you down and around the orchard and can be steep at times but a lot of fun to walk. Try out the Gold panning area to find some gold for the kids. For an addl charge they have a wooden maze for kids. They have a gated pond on property and many picture opportunities with the stand up frames to put your head through that are free. Big grass area to sit for picnic or just sit to enjoy the sights and sounds. some weekends they will have a craft fair lots of local art and crafts, soaps, jewelry and many more items for sale. The staff are always friendly and happy to give directions, if needed.

Apple ridge farms is definitely one of the best places to stop on Apple Hill and has any and everything that you could possibly want. They have stores and vendors, hot food, a bakery, a pumpkin patch, A flower walk and the cutest cutouts for taking pictures. There is plenty of seating and the parking is ample and located very close to the action. We really enjoyed our walk through their flower area and they even have a longer more difficult trail if you want to do a hike with the family. Our dog enjoyed exploring and having room to roam. Watch for falling acorns though! There were large gusts of dusty wind on our walk and my husband got pelted by multiple acorns, one which left him with a large bruise. This was still definitely one of our favorite stops with so much to see and do. If you can only make one stop on Apple Hill, this would most likely be my recommendation.

A wonderful stop along the famous Apple Hill trail of farms and orchards! Apple Ridge Farms is a great spot for both families and couples. There's so much for kids to do -- from the gold mine area to the maze -- while adults can enjoy picking apples or sampling delicious treats from the bakery. The caramel corn is a must-try, and our personal favorites are the strawberry rhubarb pie and the apple dumpling with ice cream -- a colossal dessert that's perfect for sharing. A truly fun and tasty experience for everyone!

This is one of the bigger farms in the area. There was a line of cars going in when I arrived, but they had plenty of parking spots though. Tons of things to do here as well. There was an apple barn (with a sample counter), country store, little pumpkin patch, nature trail, barkey, and food. I got lunch for them. Got their pull pork salad, hot dog, and chili. They def didn't hold back on their meat portion. Nothing was amazing, but it did the job.

Great day to come here! Busy but not bad. We ate the bbq which was good. Rib eye sandwich and cheeseburger. Also got a frozen pie to go. Plenty of picnic tables to sit at. Love that there were lots of dogs!

This was our first stop at Apple Hill and it did not disappoint! We had an easy time finding parking but we also came right when it opened. There were a few tents that were selling small trinkets, jerky, and a variety of nuts. We stopped by the bakery and took an apple dumpling to go. We also got to try the apple cider which was amazing! They have another store where they had some Christmas decorations and other goodies.

We went on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. Not many booths open but that was okay with us. Easy parking. We LOVED the flower patch. Would be back just for that.

One of the larger, more commercialized farms in Apple Hill. We arrived on Saturday to a large outdoor market, their own stores, a maze, gold panning, apple picking and a beautiful flower field. This place is pretty cool, but it's kind of confusing discovering it for the first time. I had come here because of a dessert I had seen on their Insta and after an hour ended up leaving without it. I just couldn't figure out where they sold it and the folks onsite didn't seem to know what I was talking about.

Got some tasty samples which led to me buying some nuts. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, like they always are. We stop here every year, it never disappoints!

Our first time at this farm during our Apple Hill visits. Our friend read on their website that they have flower picking. She was very excited to do the flower picking. But we were told no flower picking just looking at the same flower in the field they have. Nice dirt walk way to look and take pictures. I noticed that they had other little buildings also. They had a shop, bakery and a few others I think one was also food BBQ. They only had the outhouse restrooms up near the parking lot with hand washing stations. They had mining for the kids. They had a few tents up with people selling crafts and things.

Ask the Community - Apple Ridge Farms

Is there still a pumpkin patch until Thanksgiving?

Yes! They were $10 a pumpkin today (10/15/24). The pumpkin patch is not huge, but they do have some overflow pumpkins available in the shops.

Is it open all year or just during certain months?

There's a sign up front stating "Closed for the season" Reopen August 28

I heard that kandi's pies closed in Tracy CA. and moved into Apple Ridge Farms in Camino. Is this true?

    Yes!

So if you like those Raiders of the Lost Ark vibes, then you would like sitting next to the mine for sure. It's roped off but you can hear the water dripping and it is naturally cool. The structure was originally built as a hotel in 1853 and has been well preserved. I ordered their Smith Flat House salad ($10) and the Jambalaya Risotto ($34) which consisted of Cajun-marinated prawns, lobster meat, Andouille sausage, grilled sweet corn with saffron chicken risotto. Definitely had a bit of a kick to it, the risotto was done well. My pet peeve is mushy risotto, it needs to have a slight bite to it which this one had thankfully. Love the fact that this place serves up local wines -- I couldn't recall the wine I had and they do not have their wine menu on their website. If you have the opportunity to visit, I'd recommend a glass of red from Starfield (winery up the road).

Pleasantly surprised!…read more We stopped here on a whim on our way back from South Lake Tahoe, after a round of golf. Walked in, not expecting much, but at least some decent food to feed our hungry belly's. It was Saturday evening around 615ish, front of house was running around, but when she spotted us, showed us to our table, gave menus, and apologized as it might be a minute before our server would be able to take our orders because it has suddenly gotten busier than expected (large place but only about 1/4 full, but with 2 large groups, one of which was just seated before us) she came back with waters while we looked at the menu. Once our server came she was polite and took our drink order, promising to be back to take our food order. Understandably it took longer than usual to come back, so another man came to take our order. He apologized for the wait and said he would be happy to take our orders. We think he was the manager or possibly owner, really nice gentleman. We ordered the tiger prawns and Brussels sprouts appetizers, I ordered fish n chips, my husband ordered the rib eye with Mac n cheese and our friend ordered the salmon. The Tiger Prawns and Brussels came out first and the tiger prawns were amazing! 5 large tiger prawns, a couple pcs of toasted baguette, and in a type of white wine garlic Alfredo sauce type. The sauce was perfection, as I dipped each bite of prawn and soaked the accompanied bread. The Brussels were just as amazing, fried to have a nice crisp to it, but not soaking in oil, so they must've been fried in the perfect temp oil or something, and the glaze was just right (a lot of places just drench them in glaze as they're sitting there soaked in oil, but not the case here!) The ribeye was cooked very well (medium rare) and the hubby thought the salt level was PERFECT. It was a little salty for me, but I don't like a lot of salt. My husband almost always orders a good steak when available, and he thought it was great. The accompanying side of veggies were great too! Heavy on the garlic, but we love garlic so we thought it was perfect. The fish n chips were good, fries were ok, but not my style. They were more like shoe string fries, but that's their thing and a lot of people like that style. The tartar sauce was surprisingly good, and not just that cheap store bought stuff a lot of places tend to give. Friend with the salmon said it was good and ate it all. The gentleman that took our order forgot to add the fish n chips, but quickly rectified it, apologizing and bringing out some fries for me to munch on as the fish was getting cooked. Not a big deal to me, as I was already happy with the other items we had. He also came to our table once we were done and chatted with us for a bit, which was very nice of him. Overall the food was pretty good and would recommend stopping here if you have a chance when you have some time to relax while you eat. The staff are all nice personable. Sorry I didn't get to take pics of everything, as we were all really hing
