AMAZING!! I could eat a whole cheesecake of this. The cheesecake was nice and light and the apples on top gave it a nice sweetness. - Good ratio of cheesecake to crust/crumble. Got the apple cider sauce on the side, too. Such a cute area to walk around and take pics! They have a couple boutique tents in the front you can check out, too. One of my favorite stops in Apple Hill!

First time visiting Joan's Apple Bakery! My partner and I came for the famous walkin' pie, and next time, we'll definitely be sharing. The pies are huge, and staff make a crater within each one to load it up with sauce and a whooping scoop of ice cream. Outside, you'll find plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your pie or if you round the corner of the bakery, there's seating with views of the vineyards. After dessert, we explored the nature trail leading to the farm animals! I wish that the nature trail was better marked since at times, we weren't sure whether we were on the right path. Otherwise, this was a fun stop that I might plan for differently next time.

Cider donuts are fresh and delicious. Love the unique flavors. Will come back for their beer tasting.

The smell from the bakery as soon as you walk onto this property.... mHMMmMmM! Simply delicious. So this is my second time visiting Joan's Apple Bakery on the Delfino Farm and it does not disappoint. They over different types of desserts not just apple pic; they offer cheesecakes too! Besides great customer service, yummy desserts and tasty adult ciders, the surrounding views are so pretty. It's a great backdrop for those family holiday pictures. Be sure to add this farm on your Apple Hill adventures.

I came here to see the farm animals but I stumbled across this little bakery. It was so cute and everyone was super friendly!! I got the walking pie with a side of ice cream. When I say that is the best apple pie I've ever had, I mean it... and I'm not an apple pie person. The sauce they add really adds to it. I loved the shaved apples in the filling rather than chunks of it. It also was not overly sweet which I love. It's enough for 2-3 people! Definitely check them out! Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10

Yum! Wish I had this NOW!:)

The best stop in Apple Hill in my opinion! I so look forward to coming here every year! Joan's Apple Bakery is definitely off the beaten track. That is one of the reasons I enjoy visiting. Formerly known as Kids Incorporated, the original owner's grown children are now running the farm. And, wow, have they expanded operations! In addition to the same fantastic apple bakery goodies, a gorgeous, modern yet rustic, winery tasting room is now just steps away. I did not have an opportunity to either taste nor peek inside but I am absolutely keeping that on my future, "to do", agenda! A list of the available wines/ciders are posted in the bakery and I see they have my fav Pinot on the tasting list! And the buzz is three of the children attended the UC Davis Wine program. Those are certainly top notch credentials! On a sweet note, Joan's Apple Bakery was renamed in honor and gratitude to their Mother who started the entire enterprise so many years ago! I love that! So if you are looking for hot coffee, apple delights and yummy vanilla ice cream while enjoying the most serene, beautiful and breathtaking views, look no further than Joan's Apple Bakery at Delfino Farms! And you may find yourself leaving with a few bottles of really good wine!

We stopped by to visit 6 Apple Hill locations out of 50! The Walkin' Pie was excellent, which is basically an upside down apple pie with TONS of apple slices. It was not sweet with flaky crust , make sure you get the syrup on top! It was so filling to share with a side of cider. There are also vineyard in the back along with a view of the hill. It was an excellent location with friendly staff.

Walkin' Pies, one with ice cream and one without :-)

Heavenly Apple Pies! Joan's Apple Bakery is located in Delfino Farms. There is a fabulous family history that goes with the bakery. I am including a link at the end of this review to a very nice article about Delfino family and the farm which the bakery is a part of, and I encourage you to read it. But the short of it is that the bakery was a labor of love by the family's grandmother who has since passed away. The "must have" in Joan's Apple Bakery is the Walkin' Pie! There is nothing like it! Just take a look at the photo I have included and decide for yourself! The apples in the pies come from the farm, so it does not get much fresher than this. We always share one or two right there, and as if that is not enough, get another one or two to go!! The young people working at the bakery are wonderful. I love the fact that they are always smiling and willing to answer all your questions. There is a lot going on in the farm, so make sure to walk around a bit and check the place out after you've had your pie. It could help you burn a few of those wonderful calories you have just consumed! Here is the link to the article in Mountain Democrat: Delfino children, all grown up, say goodbye to Kids Inc., hello to Delfino Farms https://bit.ly/3aysqKP

Perfect Spot for a Fall Day [Apple Hill|Camino CA]…read more The number of orchards in Apple Hill can be overwhelming that's why each year my eldest daughter always has a game plan to visit farms we haven't tried yet (and some repeat visits to our favorites) This was my first time at the Apple Ridge Farms. We spent most of our time here. There was a lot to do including an actual u-pick Apple orchard. Apple Ridge Farms is dog friendly. BBQ and Bakery with a full menu including sandwiches, salads and sides. They had a special on apple pies this weekend... $20 for a whole pie. Picnic Area - got our lunch and enjoyed it in the covered picnic area. Love their fries! Apple Barn - frozen pies, pastries, apple cider, fresh apples, Christmas boutique Country Store - filled with jams, jellies, fudge, chocolates, and great gift ideas Nature trail - visitors are able to choose between an easy trail and a not-so-easy trail. We chose the easy trail but I think they are both easy. Flower trail - unfortunately our visit was in early November and we missed when the flowers were in bloom. September would be the best time to visit and check out the colorful zinnias. Free to access. Gem mining - daughter has enjoyed this activity in other places since she was little. She's 23 now and still has fun with this experience. There is a fee for this activity. Pop ups Artisan Crafters - arts & crafts including wood works, handmade jewelry, handcrafted soaps and candles, paintings, dried nuts and fruits. Unique finds! Face painting - we did not do this activity due to time constraints but daughter had wanted one of Patrick Starr (SpongeBob Square Pants)... next time! Portable toilets are on-site. Stay away from this stand - the person…read moreselling you the blueberries targeted us with random aggressive and confrontational behavior. My 11 year old daughter and I came to the Ferry Building for a fun Mom and daughter morning. We hit the Rainbow Orchards stand first, for what was my first and sure to be last visit. We waited to the side while a customer who was there before us was helped, chatting about how much to get. That customer left, and he took the elderly guy who came after us first - no big deal. Then it was our turn and I asked him for 5 dollars worth and handed him a 20. I had 4 singles and a 20, and the choices were either 5 dollars worth, 8 dollars worth, or another amount I can't recall. He told my shy daughter snakily "Don't grow up to be a person who comes to the Farmer's Market and doesn't have exact change." It felt out of line for him to address her in that way. And, he's already complained about me not having exact change. Hey, either sell us the blueberries or don't, but were not here to be a sponge for your anger. So, I observed flatly, well, we don't have to buy anything. And he said, "yes, you do, because I already have your money." Okay, so another aggressive and weird response. I reached out to get the bag of blueberries, since evidently he was giving me no choice other than to buy them, and he backed up so they would be out of my reach. It was like the 4th rude thing he did that was unprovoked. I managed to get the bag and walk away, but he did ruin a chunk of our sweet trip to the Farmer's Market. I wonder how many shoppers had to deal with absorbing his hostility that day.
