The service was extremely bad. Waiting for 3 hours and had nothing to pick up even though they said we just waited for few minutes. Some workers were rude, no responsible for the job. This store is terrible they took countless weeks to repair my MacBook Air 2017 which is a little over a year old and what they claimed was keyboard wire issue and then called to tell me there was a logic board issue just from use and it happens with use of the computer. I only use this computer to type up essays and occasionally watch movies and finally they told me that this would cost me $475. Needless to say this store is always crowded with people who look mad, most likely because everyone's computer or phone is broken there and they are incapable to fix anything because apple is dying. As I am sitting at the apple store waiting for my phone to be fixed its been 3 hours past the guaranteed time frame they give you. Very annoyed with the customer service here, I've wasted my entire afternoon after a long day at the office while the sales associates think I'm full of bologna. I told them from the beginning what was wrong with the phone and they went with other options, point is the replacement part was suppose to fix the phone and they were sure it would. I asked if anything could be done for the time wasted here and basically received the response "even though your time was wasted we could not compensate for anything we don't do that". Wise words from a "manager" told him about yelp and how I felt. In other words with his response he let me know he rather take the bad review before compensating for the time wasted at the apple store. Wise words that many businesses should drill into managers "A bad customer could go a long long way" Always remember to ask a loyal customer if there's anything I could do to receive a 10 what would it be! read more

Since I just left an awful review for the Apple Store on Boylston Street in Boston, I feel that I should contrast it with my great experience here at the Salem Store. I went today to buy a laptop and it was SUCH a pleasant experience in comparison. No lining up or seeking an "appointment" for the privilege of talking to someone. While I was browsing the laptops, more than one person approached me and answered my questions in a friendly, knowledgeable way. When I made the purchase it was quick, and I sat in the back setting up my new laptop in peace and quiet. Much less crowded and no pressure to finish up; I took my time and set everything up. Went there to replace my cracked phone with a new one. I have apple care, so it should have been an easy fix. I get there and they tell me that my MEID had already been used and that I just fixed this phone. This wasn't the case, as I hadn't had any issues with the phone prior to dropping it. They informed me that I was not able to get my phone repaired, until they sorted the issue out in their end. They said to expect a phone call within 2 days. I never received a call and had to call them, reexplain the situation to about three different "geniuses" before I was able to come back in without an appointment and replace my phone. When I got into the store, I once again. Had to explain the situation, and got treated like I did something g wrong and that I was trying to jack someone's phone. Terrible experience. We came here to look for an ipad and laptop for our two teenage children. We lucked out with the salesman/technician who helped us. His name was Bruce and there wasnt anything he did not know about computers, he was amazing. He spent so much time with us, comparing products and basically going over everything we would need to know in making our decisions. He was so knowlegeable and personable and he definately was not trying to pressure us or up sell products. I cannot say enough about Bruce, we left with two computers and were very happy. It is so refreshing to get such great service, especially when you are investing in a high end product. Apple is lucky to have such a knowlegeable guy working for them. read more

I should give this store 3 stars as I am confident it's at least ok. First of all, most stores in NH have a significantly better customer service experience than ones in MA, but I typically go here on Launch Day. The Specialists (customer service) are good on an especially busy day, but the inventory people are rude, hateful, and bitter. The iPhone that they presented to me to buy had a big dent at a corner of the box indicating it had been dropped. It probably didn't dent the iPhone inside the box, but you couldn't be sure. I asked to buy another one which the Specialist completely understood, but the inventory woman went into a tirade. She "bit her tongue" at the extra work I just created for her. Inventory workers aren't hired for their people skills, but if she wasn't so self-centered and selfish she would have empathized that a customer doesn't want to buy an iPhone has showed evidence of being dropped. The philosophy of Apple was that you couldn't teach people to be nice, emphatic, and friendly, but you could teach them tech knowledge. Perhaps they should apply this philosophy to the inventory workers, or at least explain to them to be friendly instead of being angry and bitter towards customers on Launch Days when they let them out from the back of store and onto the store floor. The inventory people are rude, hateful, and bitter. This is no exaggeration. Perhaps Apple needs to get them cheering and psyched out like they do with the Specialists on Launch Day. Launch Day is busy and crazy, the inventory people need to be prepared for the stress. To clarify, the inventory people are the ones that bring out the iPhones that are sitting on the Genius Bar. They work behind the Genius Bar on Launch Day as the Genius Bar is shut down on Launch Days. On a historical note, the whole Apple Store experience today is nothing like when they first started. It was far and away better than anything that existed in the retail world in America. It was special and we all kind of knew it wouldn't last. It was too good to be true. Now, the Apple Store experience is like any other store in America. Why do high level, C-level executives get paid millions, when they aren't that special? They don't bring anything particularly innovative and positive that any other normal American worker could do. Angela Ahrendts, Apple Retail Chief, has been on the job for a while now, nothing has gotten better. I'd say it's gotten a bit worse. Can one person, namely Steve Jobs, have that much positive influence from the design to the customer service experience? Where's Ron Johnson? He didn't do well at JC Penney, why not bring him back? He wasn't a good fit at JC Penney, perhaps he was meant to work for Apple Stores? read more

VERY unhappy with the services I received from the Apple Store at Rockingham mall in Salem, Nh. Made an appointment at the mall which I understand is policy to be seen, showed up early for my appointment and was seen 20 minutes later. For then to only be seen for 5 minutes telling me the problem was with my charger. Left the store to find out the same problem happened after I was told NOTHING was wrong. I then had to make ANOTHER appointment the following day where I had to wait 30 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment to get my phone fixed. Let me make this very clear, the five stars are ONLY for Liveal Taveras. Hopefully his manager is reading this because this apple store certainly does not deserve five stars and if it wasn't for him this past Saturday evening I would have given one star and told the following story. I arrived at Rockingham Apple Store around 3:30 PM and told the person that greeted me I would like to make an appointment with the genius bar if they had any available. When he asked what was wrong with my phone I told him that all of a sudden I couldn't hear any audio from videos I take. He proceeded to tell me I could try to reset all he settings on my phone or wait for an appointment. Since I didn't want to lose all my settings I told him I would wait. He said the next available appointment was not until an hour and a half and that they would text me, fine. At 5:15 I went back to see how much longer the wait was as I hadn't heard from them and one of the girls there told me it looked to be about another 40 minutes. Ok, fine. I went back at 6 still not having heard from them and someone else told me he could not guarantee how much longer I'd be waiting, they were behind schedule, and it seemed to be another hour wait until my turn. Annoyed because I planned my day around fixing my phone, I went to leave, walked across the entire mall back to my car, only to get a text that they now had availability. I went back where I was told to take a seat at the genius bar and wait for a tech. Thankfully I got Liveal as a tech. He was so sweet, introduced himself and as I explained what was wrong with my phone he fixed it in under 30 seconds without resetting anything. He also asked if there were any other questions and promptly helped me with other random things I wasn't sure how to use. Just having someone there that actually seemed to care, smile and be so personable was quite refreshing. To whomever it may concern, Liveal is the MVP of your team and I hope you are doing everything you can to make him feel valued there! I was having a hard day because my Apple 4S developed a problem. I was now 4 in the afternoon and I had a nonfunctioning phone. No genius appointments in Peabody or Burlington MA but the Rockingham store has several. Went. Seemed fixed--found not working on the way home--went back. They were able to give me a new phone. (Thanks,, Mel) but because I could not remember a password to Verizon I could not activate. Soon the Verizon person I was working with on the phone was yelling at me and activated my daughter's number to my phone! 26 year olds who have lost their iphones are not happy people. To the rescue, Nick Tomasi, who was not even my Genius walked me to the Verizon store and explained the problem and STAYED until it was fixed. Yeah NIck! You are a 5 star guy. This store is horrible. When they had a 2 1/2 hour wait for a tech, I went home. The guy said they'd send a text about 15 minutes before the estimated time they'd have an opening and that if I needed more time to get back the text would give me that option. The text came while I was driving (so notably could not text back) and there was no link or any means to indicate I needed more time. I texted as soon as I arrived and they had already given up my spot since I didn't check in immediately upon the second text saying they were ready (12 minutes after the first text). This was 5 minutes after the second text. I'll never come back to this store. read more

Did a 45 minute drive to buy a new MacBook pro only to be told that they wouldn't price match. Odd, since I'm assuming their cost would have to be the same or less than non-apple retailers. Didn't see any evidence that the customer service would be great enough to justify spending $100 more for an indentical MacBook. I was ready to upgrade my iPhone 5s after several years. I chose to drive to an Apple Store in New Hampshire to avoid paying taxes. I don't like Nashua and Manchester was too far so the Apple Store in Salem was it. Surprisingly, they were not too busy on a Saturday evening. We were offered help immediately and I told the gentleman that I had come in to upgrade with my sprint plan. Right away he started to push the apple plan at us which would cost me an additional $36 a month. He claimed I would come out cheaper than I would by upgrading through sprint. I knew the young lady at natick had given me a different cheaper option. She had told me that it would cost $299 for the iPhone 6s 64 gb and that I would get $200 credit back. The gentleman said this is not true and sprint would be charging me extra every month. I decided to go to the sprint store and ask if this is true. The sprint store confirmed what I thought and the Apple Store were either lying or did not have their facts straight. The Apple Store had seriously discouraged me from even upgrading my phone so I was glad I had spoken to the sprint store. I went straight back to the Apple Store and unfortunately we were stuck getting help from a young lady who had sort of a bad attitude. Once again she tried to push the apple financing plan at us. I would have to be crazy to go with this plan considering it would cost me an extra $36 a month! She ended up selling me what I had asked for but with lots of arguing and trying to steer me in the direction of their shitty apple plan. I ended up upgrading my sprint plan which I am very happy with and the phone cost me $299 (iPhone 6s 64gb) and I recycled my iPhone 5s and got $200 back from it. So I left the store paying just $99 for my new phone. It paid off going to New Hampshire as I did not pay any tax. I am not very happy with this particular store. The employees were a headache to deal with and their pushiness of the apple financing plan was too extreme. I don't know if it's the stores fault but the phone I picked up does not have updated emojis or anything. It ended taking several hours to go through this ordeal and I was left thinking I would've been better off going to a different store. read more

I walked in after a long day of work today and I thought okay maybe an hour wait. I got out of work at 6:15 pm the store wasn't busy thirty people maybe. The first person told me that I can come at 7:45 pm about my phone so I walked around for about an hour. I purposely showed up thirty minutes early I found two associates and asked about my apt. one checked and said yes someone will be right with you perfect about 45 minutes went by and no one came over , everyone was too busy with sales I spoke with another customer and she too was disappointed as she had three children under the age of 7 years old. I asked and one gentlemen check me in about 7:48 pm no issue I thought oh someone's probably holding them up whatever I kept myself busy it rolled around to 8:15 and now I was confused as many of the employees where leaving the store I was very annoyed and quiet stressed out because I had things to get done ! The women was finally helped after waiting almost three hours and I asked the gentlemen about my apt. He said your got pushed to 8:35 pm and he says it says you where suppose to be in for a 7:25 pm apt. Finally at 8:45 pm after a ridiculous time of waiting an employee comes over I mentioned this being the second iPhone with the cellar issue and she expressed her pity we had to back up the phone and that would cost me an additional .99 cents per month as it's not my money or account I went and asked my mother and the employee made the comment well it's going to take an hour to back up anyway and we close in fifteen minutes. So I left pissed off very pissed of almost two hours for nothing. read more

I recently purchased a 17" MacBook Pro at the Apple Store in Salem, NH. After explaining to the salesperson that I wanted the antiglare screen and showing him a document downloaded from Apple's website with the exact configuration that I wanted, he proceeded to sell me a computer without the antiglare screen. Unfortunately, I did not catch the mistake until I got home. Travel time from my home to the store, round trip, is at least two hours. Needless to say, I was very annoyed at both myself and the salesperson for the mistake. I immediately called the store and they apologized and said they would hold the correctly configured computer for me until I arrived. When I finally arrived back at the store, a different salesperson informed me that there would be an additional $50.00 charge for the antiglare screen. I told him that I qualified for the educational discount and that the additional charge should be $45.00. I know this because I had configured the the computer with the antiglare screen on Apple's website. He then told me that I had already gotten a $200.00 discount on the computer implying that that was the maximum discount for which I qualified. Confused, I replied, "Do you mean $200.00 is a flat fee?" He answered, "Yes!". By this time I was tired, annoyed, and there was a line forming behind me. Rather than debate the issue for a mere difference of $5.00, I paid the $50.00 additional charge and left. However, the salesperson was mistaken. Apple offers an educational discount of $200.00 on the base model computer. However, add-ons are subject to an additional discount. The antiglare screen is an add-on and I have the documentation to prove it. Another impression that I distinctly felt is that the salespeople at this store have a cavalier attitude regarding the large sums of money people are spending. It took me months to be able to afford this computer, yet the salespeople there treated my money like it was "pocket change" and that I could easily afford to spend more. In closing, I would like to point out that although the salespeople at the Apple store in Salem are knowledgeable they are certainly not infallible. Buyer beware! read more

Was lied to by Apple Support on the phone. Was told that the Apple Store at Rockingham Park would price match a Best Buy sale. Went to the Apple Store and wasted almost an hour only to be treated like a douchebag. I had already bought and paid thousands for this computer, then I was told they'd price match the deal over the phone only to show up and be treated like trash. This review is about my genius bar visit for my laptop. Apple has laptop specific geniuses and phone specific geniuses. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told to go to the large table and 'someone will be out shortly'. I watched as 3 phone techs assisted people, and after about 10 minutes, a laptop tech came out to help the one laptop person who arrived before me. He went back and forth to the back room a few times working with this person, and after my waiting for a total of 30 minutes, I asked if he were going to be helping me eventually? He said he may be or it could be someone else. He finished with his customer, went again to the hidden back room, and I waited another 10 minutes .........nothing. I went over to one of the greeters and asked what was up. He said he'd check. Five minutes later - I've now got 45 minutes wait time - a different genius appears to help me. So the tech I spoke to goes away, doesn't come back to me, doesn't tell anyone back there I am waiting. And the genius who does come out after 45 minutes, was back there the entire time....doing....something else. This store's manager needs retraining. read more

I had a great experience there today! I had an issue with an iPad that my girlfriend got me from her work and after a few days of it working... it completely shuts down around 20 something %. With no luck in doing any troubleshooting options, we made an appointment. Went in and waited only a few minutes and told the guy the issue. So went in back and discovered that there wasn't anything they could do (which was fine). Because it couldn't rebooted so they replaced it AND where normally it would cost around $200 - I got it with no cost thanks to warranty. A lot of the Apple Stores around me are usually packed with little kids and window shoppers taking which usually means I have to wait forever for assistance (I once had to spend an hour waiting for help to buy an iPad at the Burlington store even though the exact model I wanted was in stock). At the Rockingham store even when it is busy I feel like I am able to get in and out, and get great assistance almost immediately. On my latest trip I had most of my order purchased online (15" Macbook Pro Retina) but there were other accessories that the staff was helpful with locating and advising me on. read more

First, let me say that I love my Apple products, and highly recommend them. That said, my review is only 3 stars for this location because of a small number of the staff at the Apple store -- they poisoned the experience enough that even though I ultimately got a positive outcome, I still don't feel that great about it. I went in today because my son's iPad stopped working. I was referred by one of the front of store people to the back of the store. After meeting with the back-of-store support team, I made an appointment for 50 minutes later. Upon my return, I went to check in with said support team. To my dismay, I saw Ali, my least favorite so-called "genius" there. I waited my turn in line to check in. When my turn came up, Ali studiously ignored me as he always does. (He only seems to want to wait on attractive young women, ignoring anyone else who doesn't fall into that category.) Another "genius" arrived, Harvey, and he too ignored me -- instead talking to people who arrived after me, no matter how hard I tried to flag their attention. Eventually I got right in Harvey's face and said I was here for my appointment. He rudely said he'd let someone know I was there, and then went back to ignoring me. Thankfully, I ultimately got a wonderful support person, David, who quickly assessed the problem with our device and replaced it for us. He couldn't have been more helpful. However, the poor experience I had with Ali (today and on past visits) and Harvey makes me reluctant to go back into the Rockingham store unless I absolutely have to. With Father's Day coming up, I had planned to pick up a couple of gifts while there. Instead, I think I'll order online. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Actually NO customer service. Have never been treated so poorly at an Apple Store before. Condescending attitudes by multiple employees. Never even attempted to try and see what was causing the battery drain on the ipad (thought it was the battery but later discovered it was apps which were set to fetch data). Had the even offered any advise or info to us other than to restore to factory settings and reinstall everything fresh (and lose all data stored in applications), we wouldn't have felt so poorly treated. read more

If I could give this store a zero, I would. I have NEVER had a bad experience with apple in the 10 years I have owned apple products. I would also consider myself a very loyal customer constantly returning for new products and referring friends and family promoting the apple name and industry. Well this store was by far the worst I have ever been to that I would actually drive 60 miles out of my way just to avoid it in future. The manager Donny or Devon was the most argumentative prick I have ever met. I wanted to discuss that my apple watch had a gouge in it and see what they could do for me as the watch is less than 10 days old and I discovered the gouge in the face of the watch on day 2 or 3 but had a scheduled trip to go away and figured I would resolve the issue on my return. That's what I tried to do today. Well my technician was nice enough saying that it was truly up to the manager whether or not they could help me out. When talking to the manager he was rude and argumentative to say the least. Inferring that I shouldn't have cheaped out and gotten the sapphire crystal face for my watch. When I told him that actually wasn't offered to me he continued to argue with me and tell me that it was in fact offered. I asked him to bring over the technician who sold me the watch so she could be apart of the conversation but he said that wouldn't be fair or professional. No, no but you arguing and telling me that she did offer it ( when you weren't there) in the middle of the store, in front of other customers-- so much more professional. Also, just to add I am a doctor and told the tech when she sold the watch to me that I needed something durable and I would've upgraded if given the option for the hardier glass had I known. When telling the manager that I was truly dissatisfied with the product and the outcome and that it was unacceptable for such a loyal customer to leave so disappointed I asked to return my watch instead. He told me no and that they would note it so that they were aware that there was a defect and that the watch was no longer "like new" in condition. He stated because the fault was mine ( to which I'm not even sure was the case), they were not willing to help and would make sure that no other store would take it back. I then told him that this was just truly unacceptable and he proceeded to tell me if I came back the day after purchasing and had noticed it then that it wouldn't have changed anything I'd still have to pay the $69 fee for repair. I must say $69 is pennies for a large corporation such as apple and after spending thousands of dollars on their devices and warranties/ service plans I will likely make the switch after such a sour experience and encourage friends and family to do the same. I prompted to ask for the number for corporate. He then told me 1-800- MY APPLE, but started to say 1-800 go f*** myself, quality manager material. NH may be nice for tax free but at the very least stand clear of this store if you're having any issues with your devices. What a joke. read more

I called the store & told them what I wanted. They said "Make an appointment!" Got an appointment two days later.Guess they are very busy. Arrived at 3:45 p.m. for my 4:10 pm appointment. I was then told I didn't need an appointment. I was passed to 4 different people to help me ! Employee #1 sold me the new phone but said I had to walk down to the :Verizon store for my billing password. When I got back to Apple, I couldn't find employee #1 right away. Finally got her and she struggled to transfer my info & change my email account. Now she sent me to employee #2 who started to help me then disappeared for 15 minutes& never came back to help. So I flagged down employee #3 to help & find out why they don't finish with one customer before helping another. Meanwhile, there goes employee #2 out the door with his coat on. Now employee #3 dumped me when employee #4 stopped by. The biggest struggle was to transfer my audio books which I purchased through my I book app. Now you have to purchase them through ITunes. While employee #5, a nice lady from Andover is selling me the over priced screen protector and overpriced case, employees #4 is telling me that my iBooks will download when I get home when i connect to the WiFi. Now it's 6:37 pm & I'm just leaving the store!!!! J, employee #4 was very accommodating and doing his best to clean up my phone and promised me everything is done!!!! I think not employee #4! It's 11:17 pm and still no IBooks on my new phone! FYI ..... each audio book cost 28.99 and I'm not happy about going back to that non genius environment! read more

I went to the Apple store in Salem Nh to upgrade to the Iphone 6. Told the Apple Associate what I wanted the Iphon6 gold 64 gig. He sent me a text scanned it went in the back to get it and as he was scanning and doing paperwork he activated the phone then realized that he had the wrong phone. He had a space grey 16 gb phone. They called att 2 x with no result to get my upgrade reversed and while talking to them he put the blame on me?? I told him I had to leave for a lunch meeting and I would be back after my meeting. (also had no cell phone at all cause after the activation of the iphone my Galaxy went dead) That was my first 11/2 hours at the store. When I returned I asked for the person who was helping me and I was told I would have to wait as he was on break. I informed the apple employee that I had been here in the morning and he was expecting me. So I got another gentlemen started to help and tried calling att 3x without any luck. I had started to say that this was stupid and I was not happy at all and the apple employee said to me Everybody makes mistakes! Are you kidding me right now!!! Your screw up and I have to pay for it. The Apple employee said he was going to have to talk to somebody I assume was higher so this would not happen again. Now I have been after att to reverse my upgrade for almost 2 days now. I dont think I even want the iphone now! I'm seriously thinking of going to a windows phone right down the hall to the Microsoft store. I understand the phone is a high demand phone right now and people do make mistakes but I sure didnt hear anybody say we will make this right. Throw in a case a itunes card or something. Just everybody makes mistakes. I work in the healthcare field If someone gets the wrong medicine we cant say everybody makes a mistake. I am not happy at all with Apple right now!!!
