I had a Gel X soak off and she took her time being diligent so it wouldn't hurt my natural nails. While I was soaking she did a deep clean of the whole place. Washed all the hair cutting stuff, washed laundry, etc. I asked her how much longer she'd be here closing the store after helping me. She said it usually takes her a couple hours to clean up and close. This is the type of service, small business worth supporting. Will come again. read more

Do not go here for haircuts. They don't clean their tools and follow good health practices. I hate to write this review. I used to be a regular here, I tip generously for haircuts. The last time I went, the lady who was going to cut my hair just finished cutting someone else's hair and immediately told me to sit in the seat that they used for cutting without cleaning up ANYTHING; hair still on the ground, all tools re-used not cleaned. If you pay close attention to the drawers they use to keep hair cutting tools in, both of them say "Soiled". They don't have a drawer for cleaned tools because they don't clean them. I'm ashamed to have been a regular here for so long and not have realized that the barbicide jars they have are always full -- because they never use them. After that haircut, I've been getting psoriasis on my scalp and I can't help but attribute to me going to there to cut my hair. Scam scam scam alert! This place is a scam! I came by because the other place in this plaza was packed and asked them how much for hair wash and blow dry? They said 15. Ok sure let's do it. After they washed my hair and it was still soaking wet. They said you're done. Uh how can I leave with soaking wet hair? They didn't even towel dry. So I'm like how much is it to blow dry? She's like do you want styling ? Me: no just want it to be dry. So they start drying my hair without a comb, just using their hands and it wasn't drying. I'm just like can you use a comb. They charged me an additional $10 to use a comb. Folks are friendly. They do haircuts as well as nails. I had Le give me a pedicure ($20) and gel manicure with a small design ($30). They have a lot of nail colors to choose from. I had a picture of a design and when looking from afar it looks decent, but when looking a bit closer, the lines are a bit shaky; hence I'm assuming that price. The pedicure was like most places in the area but without a small massage. Overall an average spot that's open late. I would come back if I want something super simple fairly quickly for my hands. I asked for layers and it wasn't a very specific request for layers, but I liked it in the end after she styled it. The back could be slightly less choppy. However I also asked for 1/4 inch - 1/2 inch and she cut about an inch and a half measure instead. So that I really don't like. Also I said multiple times I only want a trim, that I wanted to grow my hair out longer, and even though she knocked her head and said yes, she still cut it shorter than I asked, which I tried my best to specifically let her know. It seemed like she only gave my hair styling because I was saying that the hair was too short and knew i might be upset with it. I recommend not coming if you actually want your hair a specific way, and do mind if it's not the way you want it. read more

First she will beg you to post a good review and tell you she will give you $10 off if you post a good review on Yelp. Second she has no idea what she is doing. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I really did try to the point where I just paid her and left. She kept seeing other customers in between my appointment and left the hair dye on my hair for way too long that I lost half of my hair. Do you want to know what she said- It's my fault because I Am allergic to hair dye. Guess what I am not! I always do my hair but the salon I normally go to closes down. Don't go here. This was my 2nd time here for eyebrow waxing under new management. I now have burn marks all over my forehead and eyebrows. I have been here before and they were ok, so came back here as I was passing by. The lady asked me if my eyebrows look ok after it was done and repeatedly kept applying Neosprin but did notice the redness and burning until I came home. Never going back here for sure Adding photos from 2 days later. The burnt spots were darkened and don't know how long it will take to heal. Really mad about this place. Updated review: Went back in today to get my nails re-done. No problems. She took her time and the employees were apologetic. My nails look really good! I paid 25 for a messed up gel manicure and I'm not happy with it. It took an hour and a half just to do my manicure. You can tell the layers are uneven and the lady who painted my nails did not even get the sides and didnt clean the excess nail polish. It look like a 10 year old did my nails. The other lady who did my pedicure did a better job. My nails should be redone for free. The nail polish is already chipping off my nails. read more

So today I was sitting in the parking lot debating if I should enter apple hair salon or Sundays beauty since they both sit in the same parking lot. Let first start with the positives, the nail technician Le was nice when she answered the phone and gave a quote when asked. $32 for a simple medi-pedi. I came back as a second timer cause the nail technician was nice last time. There was another technician that partially worked on my nail 2 months again who done a okay job. I thought of giving this salon a second chance and to help the little job nearby where I live. My technician was wearing a mask. This session would have been more relax if the other lady wasn't talking loudly. Here are the negatives of this salon, the first time I have called, I believe the owner answered and she gave me a quote of $30 for express simple medi-pedi then when I came in and ask for the same quote she denied and told me that the lady went home so she didn't honor it. The owner lady is quite loud, and unsanitary because she would sneeze and not cover or wear her mask. She like to talk loud in Vietnamese and talk about her client. Tip: if you ever want to get service here, I recommend you to call ahead and book appointment as well as get a quote. Sounds like the owner make up cost/price how she feels. I tip over 30 % just because the technician was nice and professional. The quality wasn't great when I got into my car, my nails was poorly painted and it all chip the next day. She was totally in love with her new hairstyle, not going to lie we were nervous and skeptical cause we've had some bad experiences before. I took myself to this haircut after moving to Milpitas and couldn't have been more impressed with the haircut. The environment is friendly and provides honest input on how the hairstyle can be modified upon request. Very knowledgeable. Also, the investment into ensuring a clean environment is apparent. There are screens separating each hair booth and they require you to wear masks to get a haircut. I was asked to wait as they did a thorough clean of both the desk and sitting booth. -I miss the old management. New one is still trying to get the hang of things. I was getting my toes done and they decided to blow dry someone's hair right next to me! Even those there were more seats available for them to dry their hair farther from me! I was getting blasted by the blow dryer as well. -The new nail tech people are not gentle as well. Lee, from the old management was VERY gentle with our ingrown toe nails and the new management people don't even care that they hurt us! They just say "oh because you have an ingrown". Like well then you should be more careful!! I don't think they're very experienced and are still experimenting with this kind of service. -they made my mom bleed from her ingrown. And it was a lot of blood. All they said now was "in 2 hours you don't hurt anymore" -The only person who I think is exceptional is Shushi who is the person who does the threading. She takes her time making sure that your eyebrows are even and flawless as well as being a very kind person. Love Shushi and hope the other people can learn from her. -So when painting my toes, she over painted them and is removing the ones on my skin with nail polish remover...but the weird thing is, when she had too much nail polish remover on the brush, she dabs the excess on my feet. There were several flies buzzing around and the environment was overall the Opposite of a relaxing experience so I left as they were (finally) running the water.
