Needed to rent a scooter at the last minute, and then extended it a few days, and Apple was amazing. Drop off and pick up was a breeze. The battery life was amazing!!! I too was very weary in renting from this company but the price couldn't be beat and I didn't want to overpay for one day of using a scooter. With more people going a vacation at this time I also didn't want to risk no scooters being available to rent at the parks. Customer service was great when I called, but I do think that it could be even better if they listed some alternative ways to contact them. The scooter I got, the Victory Pride 10, was left at Bell Services as confirmed and while it didn't die on me in the parks as others have stated, it still had it's issues. First, the scooter had seen better days. Chunks of the rubber protector were gone on the steering portion and the bumper area in the front, the edging was peeling off and dragging the ground at times, the tires were well worn and needed to be replaced, and the scooter "clicked" on one side by the tire. The most upsetting thing about it? The battery charger. This had exposed wires which sparked once I tried to plug it from the scooter. Needless to say I wasn't going to plug it in again. Thank goodness the battery stayed full all day. I can't say I'd rent again from them. I'll pay a little extra for something better maintained and safer. read more

The Young Lady (Stephanie I Think) That Answered The Phone Asked Where I Was I Told Her And She Said Douglas Will Try To Be There In A Half Hour, He Arrived In 20 Minutes. On The 11th I Had Had Trouble With The Scooter Not Holding The Brake When I Was Parked Or Stopped On An Incline & I Had Problems With It Today Not Moving At All. I Called And The Same Young Lady Answered I Explained The Problem She Walked Me Thru Not Getting It To Move And Said Douglas Would Have To Come Get A Spare Scooter And Would Be About An Hour. Douglas Was 10 Minutes Early And Met Me Deep In One Of The Disney Parks At The Spot I Was At. We Left Earlier Than Anticipated I Ask If They Could Meet Me To Return It And Richard Was There In 10 Minutes At The Location I Was At. I have rented from Apple scooter many times over the years, usually for a family member for a trip we have planned well in advance. This time was different. Less than 12 hours before my flight to Orlando, I'm in the emergency room with excruciating leg/knee pain. And I'm scheduled for a ten day trip to Orlando. Luckily I make it to my flight and to the hotel. While at the airport, I tried calling a couple scooter companies, knowing I would probably go with Apple scooter again but just wanted to see... there's an "official" company for WDW, but they wouldn't be able to get me a scooter until 4 days in to my trip. I called Apple scooter and arranged a meet up for the next morning (Easter Sunday). The price was right, the staff was friendly and helpful, and they could deliver when other companies wouldn't. very disappointed in customer service and dissatisfied for scooter the process and price was affordable and I reserved a mobility scooter months in advance of my trip the scooter was at hotel when we needed it to be though it looked rather wether beaten especially since I rented it with shade that was rusted and almost meted on it could not be removed which when going through halls doorways and stores was very awkward as it was at a level that it just knocked everything down and renting the shade cost half the price of scooter the second day of our 7 day trip we began having issues where it would just stop it had plenty of charge but felt like you got stuck on something I was able to get it moving by just shutting it down and restarting but then on the 6 th day we were at the park and as it looked like rain we decided to go back to our hotels and get ready for an early dinner that we had reservations for since the boats back to Jerel had shut down we were headed for the buses while waiting for the bus the scooter stopped moving there was plenty of power multiple people tried everything to get it moving luckily the bus driver and some very nice people helped us get the scooter on the bus physically having to push and lift scooter when I called to speak with someone about replacing the scooter for balance of my trip I was first told I must have gotten it wet and I explained I was not near any water and did not get caught in the rain I was then told to call when I got back to hotel so they could do some troubleshooting now mind you I am disabled that travels with small service dog getting back to hotel was difficult when I called again they again insisted I must have gotten it wet and would have someone bring a replacement in the morning no apologies no what can we do to help since I cannot really do a lot of walking our plans for the night meant staying in hotel and watching a movie they arrived the following morning and replaced a part or something and made sure it was working no apologies or even a credit for my list time or a way of removing the shade I was very disappointed in both the scooter and it's service and would not recommend either one I have rented scooters before for trips in florida from another company with no problem and will tell my travel agent to not recommend this company or scooter again read more

just returned from a week at Walt Disney World. At first they were very very good. We've been running from them, but the last 10 years out of 15 years always had good. Customer service always had great products. This time we had two scooters was good. I was great the other scooter the charge would not hold kept calling. They said oh you've got an hour for each light comes down in the afternoon when I still have six hours left in the park then only have four hours left of lights, and they said everything is fine you'll be fine. I had to find charging places in the park so I could charge them to have enough battery to get me back to the resort after the rest of the day. Call today 12 eight 2023 was met with hatefulness and was told there was nothing wrong with the scooters will definitely not be running from them again and just told a family trip for them and will be tell them not to do so.. read more

The office assistant was very professional and polite, however the delivery person was rude and obnoxious. I called to check on my delivery and the lady said she would check. I waited 15 minutes outside and when the driver responded to me he was very rude and said he had been trying to reach me and implied I was the cause of delay. I had previously called after reading reviews about poor equipment and was assured the equipment was in great shape and to just let them know. My scooter arrived and because of the rude unprofessional delivery person, I just took the scooter and he left. The wheels were bald from wear and the scooter was obviously well worn. The back of the seat was torn and the charging bag was ripped. We had 7 days of rain and it was very hard to navigate hilly ramps with bald tires. Had to take a running start and yes, I kept the scooter under a rain cover. When trying to accelerate, the scooter hesitated for several seconds before trying to move. The key would fall out and sometimes the key had to be jiggled to get it to start. Apparently the switch was worn out. My son-in-law took the scooter out front to drop it to delivery driver and he told my son-in-law he had been trying to call. He was rude and snarky to my son-in-law as well and very unprofessional. Long greasy hair, teeth missing but it was the rude demeanor that was the worst. Never ever would I rent from these people again to save $20. Made a reservation for a Scooter to be delivered to Bay Lake Tower at WDW. Paid in advance for 3 days. On the day we left home, we got no farther than 100 feet from home and had a serious accident turning onto the highway. Went to ER by ambulance, had tests, etc. At some point that day, I called Apple Scooter to explain and cancel the reservation. A man said that they would get back to me. It's been almost 4 weeks and no response. When I call them and leave messages, I ask them to call me. Nothing . The charge is still on my card. Their policies state that the customer is entitled to a full refund except if the scooter has already been delivered to the resort that particular day. Ok, fine. But where is my refund for the other two days??? I'm going to put this in dispute on my Visa card. read more

We visited Disney World in Orlando, we had to rent a scooter for our visit. I was a little nervous because of the "unhappy" reviews. Well, after my experience I realized that they were only that "unhappy" reviews. I was very pleased with the Apple's service. I was staying at a Marriott, but Marriott made a reservation with the wrong location. When they called me to confirm the scooter drop off I informed them of the issue that I was having with the location. Immediately they told me not to worry and they drove to the new address that I provided. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the young man that delivered the scooter. He was prompt, courteous and in a minute he instructed me on how to disassemble the scooter. I was very pleased with that, it was became very helpful later on. Now, this are not new scooters, there's a crack here and there, it could have better maintenance but the services compensates the cosmetic parts. Overall, I was happy to have a scooter on a holiday weekend and on a short notice. The scooter itself was easy to disassemble and it fit in my car's trunk. Yes, it is a little tricky and a little heavy, but ITS AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER, it's expected. The battery lasts for about three full "working" hours. It will depend on the weight of the person, speed and going on hills (there's plenty of them at Epcot). Make sure you turn it off every time you stop and remove the keys. I suggest you keep your eyes open and try to connect it and charge whenever you can, i.e. when you're getting on a ride, eating or resting. You'll find outlets around the parks, looks by light poles, behind doors, or eateries. Usually employees are not helpful, just do your magic lol read more

Worse company ever! After receiving a call that delivery was going to be late I asked if I could cancel delivery. I was told yes but to just call main store once it opened. I did just that. I spoke to the manager Stephanie she spoke to me wIth an aggressive tone through the entire phone call. I was told by her that I will not get a full refund but a 50% refund. That was not told to me when I fIrst asked if i could cancel. Stephanie told me the man I spoke to was just a delivery man and he didn't need to know the policy. We stay at Universal's Dockside Resort. My husband was in a boot and couldn't walk long distance. When we picked up our scooter in the lobby, there was no charging cable. We called the maintenance number, but it was after hours. We called and left a message the following morning, but didn't hear from anyone until after 11. The man we spoke to said he couldn't get us another scooter until later in the day. He told us we wouldn't be charged for that day. We spent $65 on a ECV from Universal because we didn't have a choice at that point. We got back to the hotel, but there was no replacement for our dead scooter. When we called again today about getting a refund, they were only willing to give us half of our money back. That's all the manager would allow. The scooter was used for 2 hours at the hotel before it died. This is ridiculous! Don't ever use this company. They have zero customer service. read more

We, like many others, got a bum scooter. They did replace it. We said we can meet at the resort and they said to just drop it off at bell desk and then come back for replacement. We said we'd prefer to meet with driver in person (figuring there was a risk of getting another bum scooter). after some reluctance they agreed. We got the new scooter. Much better! But weird thing was that before the driver arrived we found there was a second scooter under my name at the bell desk already. The really old one we got and another newer but still shaky scooter. Anyway we took the new scooter brought by the driver and went on our way. Then like 5 hours later I get a call asking where I am to replace the scooter. Seems super disorganized with no inventory control. Why 2 scooters under one name? Why call me 5 hrs later without knowing you already replaced the scooter. To save money and if you don't have any plans that first day like us, it might be worth the risk as they will replace the scooter. But if you have tight timeline or are planning to get the scooter at the park would look into more reliable companies. read more

I called several recommended companies to find a wheelchair for my MIL during our DW stay. This one was my favorite because they didn't ask a lot of irrelevant questions. They quoted me the same price as 2 other companies. But didn't push insurance or other extras on me. They were the ONLY company who worked around our schedule and didn't dictate what time I needed to be at my resort to pick up the wheelchair. (All 3 other companies -- even the 4th, cheaper option-- required my presence at 1 of the 3 available time slots in order to get three chair. ) I was very grateful to not have to add one more time inconvenience to my trip!! The chair worked great, we had no issues whatsoever. Pick up was also a breeze. Everyone I spoke to was kind, patient and knowledgable. I would absolutely recommend and use again in the future. I rented a scooter for dad to use at Disneyland for 1 day. John was extremely helpful and informative about delivery and use of the scooter. It needed to be delivered and returned to a neighboring hotel (we were staying at Desert Inn) and it was exactly where John said it would be. The scooter was in great condition (a few scuffs and dents but hey, it's not new) and had plenty of power and features. My dad said that it was very comfortable for a long 18 hour day at Disneyland. It held it's charge well, we never had a worry about that. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

It completely broke down on me at magic kingdom and instead of immediately sending someone to fix it they wanted me to go back to the scooter so they could try to walk me through fixing it. The fix didn't work it was deader than a doornail. Went most of my day in the park without it and was never offered a refund of that day. I will not rent from them again. The man bringing it decided he'd ride it through the park instead of offering it to the handicapped person who was unable to enjoy the park for the last 3 hours. I have been renting scooters for 10 years from them. At Disney World every year and sometime 2 to 3 times in a year and up to 3 scooters. They delivered 2 scooters the Saturday we arrived. We brought the scooters up to our rooms and plugged them in. One did not show charging so we swapped the chargers and still it would not charge. Next morning left a message about it as no one answered the phone. We could not bring that scooter because it was not charged. Left two more messages through out the day and no reply. Got back to the hotel and called another company and they brought the scooter right away. Next morning I called again and left yet another message. After 10 AM they called and we were at a park. We demanded a refund and they said they don't refund, okay we can call BBB since we paid for a service we never received. We argue for over 30 minutes with an extremely rude lady and she was rude from the start. Finally she let us speak to her boss and he refunded us for the 1 scooter. I won't rent from them again, 4 calls all go to answering machine and when we get a call back a day later they are rude and nasty to us like we inconvenienced them. We have recommended them to many visitors we meet that are renting Disney scooters so they can save money. Never will we recommend them again. read more

When someone suggested that I get a stroller for my five year old at Disney World, I looked at them like they were crazy. Then, I did some googling and realized that we walk at least 5 miles a day during our vacation. She's a city kid, but that seemed like borderline child abuse. Enter: Apple Scooter! There are other companies that rent and deliver to Disney Resort guests, but this has to be the cheapest option. For $5 a day we got an INSURED city mini stroller. It's $10 delivery round trip, but it's more than worth it considering that the next cheapest option from a competitor was $15 a day PLUS shipping PLUS more money each day for insurance. I ordered the night before and it was waiting for us at the bell service area of our resort when we arrived. When we checked out, we just left the stroller there. Pick up and delivery took less than a minute each time. The stroller wasn't exactly new. They say they launder them after every rental. It was definitely clean, albeit the fabric was worn in some places. I couldn't care less about how it looked. Functionality-wise...I used to own this exact model back in the day and this one had a few issues unfolding. It did everything else it needed to do: the wheels moved, the seat didn't collapse, and it folded up in time to hop on a bus to and from the parks. She was a tad large, and at times it seemed more like I was pushing around a wheelbarrow, but we were able to zip around that park all day long. Seriously, all day long. We got there at 8 and left at midnight each night. I'm happy. read more

Apple Scooter, a Disney preferred rental company, is a joke. I could not believe the condition of the scooter that was left for me. Okay, the one positive thing was the battery lasted all day. But that was it! The seat was ripped, the arm rests (both of them) were ripped. No horn at all. The condition of the wheels were appalling! The body of the scooter was a mess! There was a screw missing in the apparatus that held the basket, so the basket kept falling off. Check out my photos. As a company, I would have been embarrassed to have that scooter in my fleet, none the less actually charge someone for it. It took them over three days to finally respond to the email (with pictures) that I sent to them. I was told to let the operations manager know. I finally ended up calling them directly. By this time, I had only one day left on my rental. Too little, too late. In fact, I ended up turning it in a day early. Of course, my bill was not adjusted to reflect the early return time (and I know it was picked up on that evening (a day earlier). Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Apple Scooters as you can. There are plenty of reputable companies, Buena Vista, Walker Mobility, Best Price Mobility. DO NOT USE. We rented 2 scooters from them on a recent trip to Disney. With 1 scooter, every time you removed the key, the ignition switch came out, and with the other the back fender on the scooter was broken, so it kept rubbing against the tire and neither one of them retained a charge fore more than 2 hours. We called and requested replacements. They brought replacements to the hotel, and these scooters were no better. They didn't keep a charge, they had duct tape covering the rips on the seats and arm rests, 1 scooter had a mind of its own and just stopped whenever it wanted to. The other was worse. The back rests and arm rests could be adjusted, it was a horrible experience. And when I tried to call them back, the phone just rang and rang and rang. I finally left a message on Thursday, and they still haven't returned a phone call. Terrible.... Just terrible.... read more

I was wary to rent from Apple because of some of the bad reviews, but I'm glad I did! They were dependable, responsive and the best price comparatively. We needed 2 scooters for 4 days in February. After the 1st day, one of the chargers wasn't working. Apple immediately sent a replacement to our hotel bell station for us to pick up at our convenience. A huge bonus is being a preferred scooter provider at Universal. Picking up and dropping off our scooters at the bell station was flawless and incredibly easy. I cut my hand on the numerous cracks in the body of the scooter. The seat was tilted to the left, both arm rests were missing material and stuffing, all of this causing such discomfort. I called, the man could hardly listen to me, and said he would bring another one. This was on day 1, I left by day 5, with not one word from them, much less a new scooter. I left with such a back problem due to the listing of the seat to the left, I still wear the bandage of where I cut my wrist on the jagged edge of the missing part of the body of the scooter. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Had to wait for the delivery driver to change his clothes while we stood there. The back of the van was filthy and full of approximately 50 name tags scattered on the floor. Gave us 2 scooters that were dirty, scoffed up and cracked. One headlight was busted so we requested a new one. one scooter is working ok other then the key switch is bad and does not always work. The other one my husband continues to fall along with the scooter, does not happen with the other one scooter we also rented from them. He injured his arm, leg and banged up his head. Called apple scooter and they said it is my husbands fault. Like he suddenly does not know how to use it after years of renting them from different companies. Manger, Douglas was extremely condescending and talking over me and said the medical bills are not his problem. He kept referring to Disney that it was there fault and also told me to look up Pride Victory and for me to contact the manufacture myself. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have rented from Apple scooter since 2011. Never had a problem until our trip in November. The first scooter we had they had to replace the battery twice. then it again died so they brought us a new scooter. This scooter had to have the battery changed twice then they decided it was the charger. So they brought us a 3rd scooter. this scooter too had to have the battery switched out. Each time we were basically stuck for and hour or so waiting. Upon returning home I had a rental reserved with them for January. So I wrote them and reminded them of the problems from our trip and asked for a refund or a discount. they gave us a 20 dollar discount so I decided to go ahead and give them another chance. BIG MISTAKE In our email communications the reservations person said she would make sure We had a top notch scooter. The one they brough us was missing chunks of rubber everywhere. and the handles were peeling and chipping off. But the big problem came when after 4 hours of using it the battery was dying. So they brought us a new battery. We went back to the parks and after another 4 hours it too was almost dead. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took it to the room and let it do a full charge, but after 4 hours the next day it too was dead. SO once again I called and they brought me a "new scooter" Needless to say I should have just payed full price at another place because the hassle was NOT worth the savings of 20 dollars. This place is supposed to be a Preferred Disney Scooter Rental place, but I hope Disney will be rethinking their endorsement because of their crappy equipment. read more

Received a scooter and a double stroller for rental from them for a few days. Oh how I wish there was a 0 star option. Use ANY other company. The scooter worked sluggish, the stroller was a NIGHTMARE. I could barely fold it or reopen it and when trying to quickly get from one place to the next it makes things worse! So finally the day to give the GARBAGE they provided back, and NO ONE SHOWS UP!!! I couldn't get anyone on the phone and almost had a late checkout due to their incompetence! Pick up was supposed to be at 9am, but finally gave up and left the rentals behind with front desk as a courtesy from the Disney Campgrounds. Please DO NOT USE this company! read more
