This is my local Verizon and I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is now the 2nd time I upgrade my phone and do this- you hand me a quote reflecting one thing and then I get a receipt showing a completely different monthly cost! This time luckily I caught it before walking out the store so Cris I think was his name- Hispanic dude with the man bun got upset and refused to fix his mistake of applying the wrong promo code so I chose not to take the phone and cancel the entire transaction because trust me when I say these "price adjustments" they want you to fight with customer service are not as easy as they claim. How about for a change we apply what you quote the customer. Check your receipts thoroughly they will apply the wrong one so they oversell you the phone. 2nd time at this location this happens after being a Verizon customer for over 15+ years. read more

They have no problem to lie to get a new account. I had two lines with them and needed to add another account. They told me my bill for three lines would be $135.00. My actual bill was $197.00. We lost a phone and orerdred a Sim card at this location. I sent someone that was registered to this account to pick it up and they demanded money and wouldn't give the card. I called in 611 and they told me that they should of just gave it to them. Now I have to have them drive back. I will find out who did this and report them with a letter to the CEO of Verizon. I will be reporting the emloyee, manager and district manager. I am a 28 year customer. I didn't sign up to be treated like this. These guys want TO act tough and or aren't trained properly. Without asking me & without telling me!! I had no idea since I'm not the person who gets the bill. This is outright FRAUD. I bought my phone directly from Samsung and now it's a few years old. Honestly, the worst store to go to. Made my mom and my 95 year-old grandma wait for 51 minutes for service. All they were doing is dropping off an iphone for trade-in. The iphone was in pristine condition, so when it was finally time for service, the customer service agent took one look at the phone, complemented its condition, and processed the whole transaction within 1 minute. My mom made it *clear* that that was the only thing she was in the store for. SERIOUSLY!? What kind of customer service is that? Just ridiculous. If you don't make any other changes, at least learn to triage your customers in a more efficient way. I feel so angry on their behalf. read more

I went in to this place as a business owner trying to add a line and buy a new phone. I also had a phone to return because I had just bought one. The person who was being added to the line was informed that I needed to call and wait on hold in order to accomplish this? Then they sent him outside (where I was waiting in the car) and locked the door behind them. I went to a different store to return my phone and found out I couldn't. I needed to go to the store where they couldn't add a line and conveniently locked the door behind. As a business owner I was already very unsatisfied. Now this store doesn't have open availability for me to return a phone again till Thursday even though. I'm outside. Further wasting my time because they can't be bothered with 5 minutes of work. Headed into Verizon in December 13 looking to upgrade our phones, Matthew helped me & walked through all my options with my still owing 2 months payments on our existing phones. They also didn't have the iPhone 15 pro max in stock in all the colors we wanted, so he recommended to wait until the next bill closed, which would have given me only 1 month left to pay off. He gave me his cell number, so I could reach out & work directly with him. Texted him on the 19th & although he was not working that day, gave me a time to meet him there on the 20th, which I did. The entire experience was seamless & wonderful. Matthew listened to my needs, walked me through my options, didn't push me into making any decision & was just super helpful. I paid a few more visits, post initial, as I needed to return old phones & watches & through it all Matthew was awesome! The store itself is always clean & busy, so it's nice having someone you can reach out to for help & enabling you to feel like you are getting more personal service & are not just a number! Had an experience with Josue here that made me feel like I was at a car dealership and not a phone service provider/retailer. I came in simply to get my loaner phone activated (that I received from Apple who is repairing my iPhone). He said there was one person ahead of me and then proceeded to sit next to me and chat which quickly turned into him aggressively trying to get me to sign up for some promo to add a line. I literally had to say five times I was not interested and did not need another line. He would not stop. He kept explaining to me it "didn't make sense not to do it" because it would reduce my bill. He also mansplained that this was a sales location and it was his job to try to sell me on the latest offers - that may be true but it's also a Verizon location and also their job to assist Verizon customers. After one of the several times I said I just needed my phone fixed, he eventually said he could do it and was able to activate the phone in about 10 min or so. I could have been out of there much faster if he didn't take advantage of my situation pretending he was helping while wasting both of our time trying to sell me on whatever. I try never to actually go into Verizon stores for this very reason. In the future, if I absolutely have to, I'll try my luck at a different location. read more

Amazing experience after a pretty rocky start in the AM. Who knew Tuesdays were such a busy day of the week. I came into the Sherman Oaks location off Ventura Blvd and Hazeltine just next door to Mendocino Farms and Islands Restaurant as well as a few feet west of Taco Bell where Verizon Sherman Oaks has a shared covered parking lot with fellow business in their block. I was on a shared account with a friend and former romantic partner for the earlier half of our relationship together which bloomed into one of the best friendships I could ever ask for. He recently passed and while settling his affairs his family was kind enough to bring his bill current as well as my portion and canceling his service, but doing so shut off both lines rather than just one.... thus two trips to VZ began. When I was finally able to reset my pin (a true process lol) and get more detailed assistance... Rey was super helpful and did all he could think of to assist me. The customer service here is very spot on and attentive and most customer do see and appreciate the S.O. VZ crew as I do. Unfortunately this isn't always the case as there was a dispute with a verbally abrasive customer and reps while I was on the phone getting my line transfered for full service (and back on) that was handled pretty amazingly by staff and security on duty. Very professional even in a difficult moment and I still felt like Rey and co were there for all the customers.... Never missing a beat. Rey followed up with me to make sure I had everything I needed and I was on my way. Definitely hope to stop in here again for any Verizon needs and an upgrade down the line. read more

An unexpectedly delightful visit. Not gonna lie, I've been avoiding going into the store to discuss changes I needed on my plan. Felt like terrible homework, and I was expecting to be pelted with used car salesman like patter. Instead, I was greeted by a group of cheerful employees who not only solved my problem, ended up lowering my bill when I was sure it would go up. To say I'm shocked is a bit of an understatement. Verizon has the worst service in the world. Their customer service is terrible. Every time there's an issue, you have to spend over 5 hours on the phone with them. Such a bad experience that I am going to go past the District Manager to corporate. I went to the store to pick up a phone I ordered with a phone rep. Staffer "George" first couldn't figure out what I was picking up, and repeatedly asked what random old charges on my account were for. I repeatedly told him that I had no idea. George eventually realized that he was looking at old transactions. So George was, at minimum, confused. My mom noticed the same thing. Then George tried to charge me a fee that he said "couldn't be waived," even though the phone rep never mentioned it, and George later agreed to waive. When I said, "fine, but I am going to leave a bad review and take up the issue with corporate," George said -- with one of his eyes twitching -- "If you're going to give me a bad review, I am not selling you this phone," even though I already bought it. George continued, "why are you doing this? You're not a nice person!" At that point, after confirming that George refused to give me the phone that I ALREADY BOUGHT VIA THE PHONE REP, I said "not a nice person? I AM THE CUSTOMER," and I gave George the verbal response he deserved and asked to speak with a manager. He refused to give me the DM's contact info, only the store GM, who was more interested in my response to George than what George said to trigger it. Part of being in retail is understanding why you might get a poor review and trying to reverse gears rather than picking a fight, insulting the customer, getting insulted back and getting the bad review anyway, i.e. making a bad situation worse. The GM said that my forthcoming bad review "sounds like a threat." I said there is nothing "threatening" about a bad review. That's passive-aggressive. UPDATE: By the next day, I got the phone 14 miles away without a problem. Five minutes in and out of the store. The DM never contacted me. But you know who did? Corporate. read more

I usually love this place, but today I had an issue with my hip, which it makes it painful for me to stand or sit in certain positions. I sat in the only actual chair in the store, to be able to conduct my business with a small bit of comfort. No one was sitting in the chair, and no one else in the store seemed to need it. I'm usually strong and stable on my feet, especially for 65 years old, and under normal circustances I'm not a person to just grab the most comfortable seat just for the heck of it. One of associates in the store, Priscilla, told me I had to get up and sit on a hard stool to be helped. Why? No answer. I explained that I was experiencing a lot of pain in my hip, and the high wooden stools were not going to work for me today. But she insisted, to the point of calling over the security guard. Let me be clear. The chair was within a few feet of the hard stools, and the male associate who was helping me could easily hear me from where I was. It was also possible to move the chair closer, or for him to come closer to me. There was no one else who needed to sit, in fact when they forced me to get up, they put the chair in the back! I have a family media business and we all use Verizon phones. We have the best phones, the top services, and all the extras. Not that it really makes a difference, every customer should be treated with respect and kindness. This was so unlike the usual excellent caring service I receive at Verizon. I'm at a loss to understand what was accomplished by forcing me to spend the better part of an hour in pain. It just seemed like unnecessary cruelness. read more

I appreciate they took a day to work on my new phone (Apple changed the ID on my repaired turn in phone) but they did shady things in the process. My new phone they added a second number to it and said it was free. I didn't ask for it nor need it. Bill comes and it's an extra $25.22 a month - WTH! I'll be complaining to the store in person and Corporate (I called them once already to remove the charge. They said they would but didn't fyi) via phone. How badly do they need the commission or money?! Again, avoid this location at all costs. Ironically, this is the same store that sold me my iPhone 13 (that I traded in) which was a lemon. The employees must get incentivized by selling ad ons. In this case it's the screen protector which they told me had a life time warranty and would be replaced zero charge at specific stores. Of course my screen protector chips and breaks bc it's cheap and of course I goto the exact store and there's a charge to replace it. The manager, I forget her name she was a giant bi***ch, who seemed indignant bc she needed to actually help someone. She WOULD not give me a credit which is her being difficult for the sake of being difficult. Keep in mind, I was RUDE after she refused to give me a credit but I'm sure she will say my rudeness was the reason. People love to switch the order of events when they're not good at their job. . Either way, I paid for something based on what they told me, it was wrong. They should refund. Had to call corporate who gave me the credit as a credit for the inconvenience so I'm actually glad i had to call.
