This place isn't too far from work so I come by sometimes for lunch when I'm wanting something semi-healthy. They have sandwiches and salads. Today I got the avocado turkey (which I always order) for lunch. It comes with your choice of side (I got chips), a cookie, a pickle, and a mint. The bread on the sandwich is really good. The sandwich comes with turkey, avocado, lettuce, cheese, and sprouts on it. I like that the sandwiches always come dry so you can add whatever condiment you want to it. My only complaint is that the last few times I got lunch from here (today included), the avocado had a lot of brown spots and didn't look super fresh. Hopefully they fix this problem soon. The restaurant is in a plaza with a lot of parking, so it's easy to go to. read more

This place is very fresh and very delicious. The only reason I didn't rank it 5 stars is because the portions are a bit small for the price. I have tried the tomato soup, which is creamy and rich. I am partial to the walnut and goat cheese salad with balsamic. They are normally generous with the candied walnuts and pears, while a bit skimpy with the non lettuce items (mushrooms, tomatoes, olives, cucumber). The salad comes with 2 slices of fresh baked bread with a sweet cinnamon butter spread. I don't walk away hungry. But I think my husband would. Parking can be tight if you come during lunch hours. We had an event at work today and breakfast and lunch was catered from Apple Spice. We were so impressed! I had the Chicken Caesar wrap and my co worker had the Cafe Club. Chips, a decadent chocolate chip cookie, and a delicious pickle in its own little zip lock baggie. This is not the usual sandwich place with questionable meats. Despite this place only open for a small amount of time, the sandwiches are fresh and absolutely amazing. My favorite is the egg salad sandwich. Yet, I have also tried the vegetarian sandwich as well. The great thing is that when you order the executive lunch, you automatically get choices for additional sides like chips and a cookie. One of the other things to try is their frog eye salad. Before you say eeww... it is whipped cream with tapioca and fruit in it. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! So, I walked in after work to order something quick, and I tried out their soup and salad special. I was trying to be healthy, but I couldn't resist trying out their clam chowder. Because I was too busy shopping on Amazon I forgot how long I placed in the order that three employees asked if Im still waiting and they made it a priority to expedite my order as three other people had already picked up their food. I was in no rush, and I told them to take their time but what really got me was that they actually cared! They have the best staff!!! As for the clam chowder? It was great, like, as great as cuddling a soft warm puppy. Anyways, salad was pretty basic but nonetheless it's was cute colorful. And because I'm a fatass, they added in a small apple butter spread container OMG it's sooo good!! Let's just say I'm on my way to get biscuits (forget this diet). Perfect place to stop buy and grab lunch for work. I love that it comes in a box. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups to choose from. The baked potato soup is delicious. TO ALL MY YELPERS - I wasn't ready for this!!! I was NOT ready to receive such a GREAT pint of their homemade chicken tortilla soup - OMG! And the awesome presentation of how they organized their box lunch I ordered which was the extreme BLT! OMGx2! My daughter and I are foodies and love trying out new restaurants. Well, we wanted something healthy and I came across this jewel on DoorDash. Nowadays on DoorDash, you have to careful where you order, some foods places are serving out of their home and that's not cool. But be that it may, I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, a bag of delicious tortilla chips were given to you on the side along with a tablespoon of sour cream. The soup looks as though it has turmeric in there, but as soon as I dipped my chip to scoop up the creamy base soup, it was like the Lays commercial - you can't eat just one! I ate nearly the entire pint in minutes and my daughter kept looking at me because I told her I was going to share - too late! After eating that scrumptious meal, I looked over at the lunch box and was pleasantly surprised because I didn't really understand what I was ordering under the lunch box menu, but when I opened the box, I was SUPER shocked of how beautifully and professionally organized it was. This is the type of place that you want to have when you're trying to get lunch for the office (sandwich options include BLT, Club, Ham, Roast Beef), but not so much when you're just out and about looking for a great lunch. The Mandarin Chicken Salad has been the only redeeming dish that has really stood out. There are several sandwiches, soups, and salads available, and you can upgrade them to a box lunch that includes extra sides and desserts for a couple of extra dollars. Apple Spice Junction is located in a small industrial complex, just adjacent to Ralphs/Food 4 Less headquarters. My wife sometimes works nearby and she turned me on to this place. I have to say that my sandwich (Charlie's Dream - the tuna) was quite tasty, as was the potato salad, dill pickle, and cookie that came with it. The guys working the front counter were friendly, and seemed to know a lot of customers by name. I guess since it's in a somewhat industrial area, a lot of people that work nearby are frequent regulars. The only reason I didn't give Apple Spice a perfect score is that they are a bit pricey for fast food. Most of the sandwiches are between $7 to $8, and they are not very big. If they would include a fountain drink for that price, I would bump them up to 5 stars for sure. Still, the freshness and quality of the food was very good. We are usually there at the plant for training/meetings and Apple Spice Junction's boxed sandwich meal is a very refreshing lunch break that I look forward to. Just had Apple Spice for the first time today at work. One of my coworkers called in our order and went to pick it up. We didn't have enough orders to qualify for free delivery. I chose the Turkey Cran-Peno (Cranberry Jalapeno sauce) Box Lunch. For a little guy like me the portions were perfect. Not too much but not too little. They even gave me an extra pickle in my box! Lunch was devoured, very yummy. The reason I give ASJ a 4/5 is because I had asked for my cran peno sauce to be on the side and when I got my lunch it was so thickly applied that it soaked the bread. Made my fingers sticky and smelling of cranberry. Also, like many other yelper's have commented is the pricing. It is usually $9 for a sandwich, cookie, chips, and the pickle. I could go for this place every once in a while because it is a little too much for me to pay for my lunches (granted I bring my own sack lunch every day) I will order again, and try something different.
