I discovered Green Olive when I started studying at CSUDH. At first I was a bit hesitant to try their food because food trucks are usually overpriced and the quality of the food is not that great. However, because the food truck is on campus, the prices are more affordable for the students. I ordered the Garlic Fries since it seems to be one of the most popular item in the menu. The garlic dip is usually placed on top of the fries, but because I was afraid it would have mayonnaise, I asked for it to be separated. The fries is very delicious, it is light and crispy! The garlic dip is quite addicting! It is honestly the best garlic dip I have ever had. I also ordered a Solo Beef and it quite tender and flavorful. I think next time I get food here, I will try their gyro plate because the serving size is pretty generous. Overall, the food and the service were great! I cannot wait for the actual restaurant to open in CSUDH's Loker Student Union. read more

The food on this truck is so delicious! We got the chicken kabob plate and it was very good. We also got the gyro and the whole thing was packed with flavor. While the food is delicious and the prices great, ultimately it's a disappointment. They cannot be open during the posted hours to save their life. The truck is in town for a few weeks, and I have been there four times - only one of which I was able to get food. The other three times I came well within the posted hours (posted daily on Twitter, so easy enough to update) of 11am-7pm, and they were closed. Every time I was going to get food for multiple people, so it was pretty frustrating. Definitely try it if you drive by and they are open, but don't plan your day around eating there... it's not going to happen. read more

Nice guys, working hard to make our gang great food. That's what we got when we ate dinner there. Super fresh and piping hot falafels. (who says that?-piping hot! WTF!?) The gyro hit the spot. Filled me up. Good looking tomatoes. Tzaziki was great. The pita was really good. And the olive potatoes?.?.?. Save some for me because those a kick ass too. The baklava are yet to be consumed. The food is pretty good, priced a little high but not a big deal, HOWEVER! As I was waiting for my order to be called out, I seen the man that was taking payments, cash payments, go over and flip the pitas with his bare hands that he just handled money with. This is unsanitary, and I'm hoping the heat of the griddle killed off that bacteria, hopefully I dont get sick for eating the food anyways. Maybe I shouldve asked for a refund. read more

The truck was at the LB airport one day, so i tried it. One Monday I tried the falafel wrap and thought that it's ok. The next day I was reluctant but ordered the gyro wrap and was pleasantly surprised that it was delicious, so good that I wanted to get another one. The bread and yogurt sauce was fresh! read more

Ordered a plate because I really wanted the rice (otherwise I would of bought the wrap) but when I got to my seat to eat, NO RICE! Then to add to the disappointment, the falafel tasted like it was made a long time ago and then the pita was literally stale, literally!!! I have never had an old stale pita before until this one. I wish I could leave no stars... My meal totaled $17 and it all tasted horrible. If cultural appropriation has a flavor, it would taste like the food served by this truck. Over priced and underwhelming! There's no authentic Mediterranean flavor in anything that I ate (falafel, chicken kebab, hummus and 'mediterranean' salad) and everything was bland or just plain bad. The salad was just cucumber, tomato and iceberg- no feta/olives/ or onion. The dressing was too creamy to be considered Mediterranean. The hummus tasted nothing like any hummus I've ever had before- and not in a good way. Chicken was poorly seasoned and dry. All in all, this is the most disappointing meal I've had in a long time. Please- save your money!!! if you're looking for good, authentic Mediterranean food, this is not the truck for you. read more

Caught this truck in Highland Park tonight, so I thought I'd give them a try. Ordered the #1 gyro plate. The beef was really tender and well seasoned, the rice was delish and the salad was super fresh and crisp. The sauce that comes with was out of this world...seriously awesome. I ordered an extra hummus because my family loves it, but to be honest...it lacked a little acid/lemon juice, but otherwise the texture and flavor was good. The portions were generous, I shared mine and got plenty full. Also, the guy taking orders was super nice...good service is always appreciated here. Wanted to try this truck even though the prices were really high for a food truck. Yelp listed this truck as opening at 11:30 am. I arrived at noon. Stood there for a few minutes perusing the menu waiting for the truck to open. Finally I walked to the back of the truck (which was open), and asked the unshaven guy were they open yet? He said " Well yeah.. we should be ...well not yet...in about 10 minutes." Then he rudely looked me from head to toe back to head. Long story short, he was an asshole to me & the truck wasn't open on time. It wasn't worth waiting 10 min more (maybe) for more rude service & overpriced food so I left. P.S. While it was outrageously hot, no one really complained because the food was incredibly good. Actually, eating Mediterranean cuisine was a first for many of our employees. And they loved it. The food truck was parked at my apartment building tonight. I was excited because I really like Mediterranean food so me and my roommate went to get some. I ordered the chicken plate with a side of extra falafel balls. The total came to 15$ (12 for the plate and 3 for the extra falafels). However when I received my food I was only given one falafel ball about the size of a pingpong ball. I asked the cashier if he had made a mistake as I paid 3$ for one measly falafel ball. He told me no. I then asked if I could change my order to a falafel plate with a side of chicken and pay the extra dollar. He told me no they were completely different plates (Did not specify this on the menu). I then asked for a refund and returned my food. My roommate had also ordered the plate she told me later that even though the meat (chicken) was really yummy the rest of the plate was definitely subpar. She would rate the food 3 stars coupled with the customer service being poor and the food overpriced I am giving this food truck 2 stars. read more

Too much money for what you get! I had the falafel wrap, which had 3 falafel's in it for $11, just ok. My friend got the greek salad... what a joke! Picture a greek salad, you see tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, feta, and olives, right? This was a house salad with a couple olives and a pepperoncini. There were 2 very thinly sliced pieces of a cucumber. There are other mediterranean food trucks which are much better tasting and a better value. Plus the guy taking the orders, although very nice, was also the person putting the pitas on the grill. So I watched him take money, not wash his hands or put gloves on, then touch the pitas... BEST of the BEST! This truck came to my neighborhood last night so we ambled over around midnight.....and I will be back tonight for more! FANTASTIC FOOD. I wish they would open a permanent place right here in Long Beach. Everything was very fresh, well prepared, nicely presented, generous portions and best of all tasted sooooo good. We tried 2 "plates"; one Gyro and 1 falafel. WOW. Falafel was the best I have had in many a year, the yellow (saffron?) rice was beyond yummy, gyro meat was seasoned to perfection and really tender and juicy, salad was very fresh and the dressing so so good. They gave a good variety of sauces and all were tasty. Tahini was creamy, with a good sesame flavor. Hummus was a gernous portion and very good too. The service was great, very pleasant and helpful, with ethnic decor and stools for sitting, and a large communal table that fit a lot of food and people so you do not have to eat standing up. I could not believe this was food truck food, it was better than anyplace else here in town. Cannot wait for tonight to try the olive potatoes and gyro pita wrap. The baklava looked fresh and flaky so maybe I will try that too. The 2 fellows inside the track were really pleasant and smiling, brought our food right to the table. In the background was low music of a Middle Eastern type that really set the mood. And the prices are affordable and trust me, you get a lot of food for your dollar. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
