This Apple Store is at the top of my list for Apple Stores. I have had a consistently fantastic experience at this store, in particular. The people working the floor are both helpful and patient, the Genius Bar has always been incredibly helpful, and management was absolutely perfect. I have been to this store to replace an iPhone, trade an iPad in for a Mac Mini, let my (then) 10 year old son pick out an iPod, as well as purchase a variety of other products and services. Two examples stand out: When I broke my iPhone (in the days before AppleCare Plus), I brought it in knowing I would need to pay for the full replacement cost. Not only did the staff handle my problem professionally (no comments about the 30-something who dropped his phone!), but they replaced and restored my iPhone in an amazingly short time. As a self employed person, their understanding of my need for speed was absolutely fantastic. Secondly, when we brought our son in for his iPod purchase (6+ months of saving), one of the Apple employees approached us about our needs. We explained the situation, and not only did the staff approach him like he was a person, but they answered his questions thoroughly, including consulting a Genius regarding a particularly technical question about battery consumption and performance. After we left, our son explained to us that, aside from having his iPod in his hands, the experience of purchasing it was the best thing ever. This Apple Store is also somewhat busy, so if you are headed here for technical support, use the website or app to make a Genius Bar Appointment. They try to accommodate the walk-ins as they can, but it can be a long wait if you don't have an appointment. read more

You pay for Apple care the phone has a crack but that's not stopping you from making or receiving calls and the headset won't work. So I have to pay $150 to fix the screen then they'll fix the internal components! Rip off... read more

I had an appointment to get my phone fixed and i told them exactly what was wrong with the phone and they told me it was unrepairable and threw me a "new" phone but this one dosent work either! I told them how 3 other repair shops have told me they can fix it and they said "we don't believe that". They then took my old phone without letting me transfer any of my data, personal info or pics. I will never bother with apple again, i will 100% go back to a Samsung phone read more

Went to Apple store after Christmas and wanted to purchase new phone and security guard who had know clue who said he has android phone I needed a repair on phone and purchasing a new one , I always got my phone through Apple lost my sale went to my carrier but now I need a repair for other one and this is absolutely ridiculous. Well, I was an avid Android user and made the switch in May to the iPhone due to the ever growing phone size. The iPhone was one of the few phones still a decent phone size without it starting to look like a tablet... On September 18th my iPhone went into the toilet. After researching ways to fix it (rice and all that stuff) and looking at prices on eBay and whatnot, we decided to make a visit to the Apple Store. We went on Septeimber 26th (the day AFTER the new iPhone came out) hoping we had a chance to get my issue resolved. We had decided that we were just going to purchase a refurb from Apple's "Out of Warranty" program. When we showed up to the store it was chaotic as you can probably imagine. We were greeted right away asking what we were they for. Then was told to go to a line to make an appointment. After I gave my contact info, they told me it would be about 25 min and they would send me a text when they were ready for me. Which is great because waiting around there would've been nuts. Literally 5 min later we get the text, head back, get a seat at the Genius Bar and a nice guy greeted us. I walked out with my new phone about 15 min later. He was very informative, friendly and efficient. I can't believe how fast it was. read more

Poor customer service. Went in with a hardware issue on 2 week old iPhone 11. Support personnel said I would have to pay to fix it. I told him it was still under warranty and asked for supervisor. He said it wouldn't matter. Went home and called Apple support and they called store and found out support person hadn't even made any notes about the problem on my account. Apple talked to supervisor of store and worked out for me to get it repaired there under the warranty! What a hassle! read more

Usually coming in to an Apple Store, I've had a pleasant experience and haven't wished for anything to be different (case in point the Crocker Pk location that in and of itself could not be any better). My sister bought an iPhone 7 the day it was launched at this very store. Activated it and all was well. The screen started glitching as well as the storage space not allowing for more photos to be added, so we brought the phone in for a replacement (was in the case since day one and was clearly just a bad unit). The first Apple Store genius confirmed that this was the case, and offered to replace the phone under warranty. A woman walked out from the back of the store, and offered to restore the phone. We reiterated we did not have a backup nearby (as the computer with the backup is where she lives) and we would appreciate the opportunity to backup the phone VIA iCloud. After this exchange, Jennifer walked to one of the other geniuses, and then was "consulted" by the original one that I talked with. She tried to tell us that we had the iPhone 6S and we didn't know what we were telling her (no headphone jack on this unit). Talked to my original genius and told him that I would leave if they felt necessary. He told me that it was fine and he would replace my unit. Jen then tried to restore the unit again. She also tried to download a baseband and software from an outside website (as she had her macbook turned toward us as we were sitting there) (as I'm someone with somewhat of an IT background, I was not comfortable with her doing it this way, rather then install from iTunes). She actually said she knew more than I did about this and started to try and restore without a backup again, this time actually wiping the device. Got the device replaced finally and was left on my way to leave. However, I feel the experience could have gone SOOO much better. Not only did we lose contacts, photos of my deceased grandfather, and countless appointments stored in the device, we were told we didn't even know what model of phone we purchased, despite being in this location 2 months previous for the purchase of this device. I told her that I knew what my item was, that I had experience in computers etc, and I didn't feel as though I was treated fairly. She stated I came off as condescending. I guess if by asking politely to let us backup the device first is condescending, then I have a lot of people to apologize to. I will never be back to this establishment UNLESS the management teaches any genius that works here how to actually approach and satisfy a customers needs. I've been in the wireless and technology trade for 5+ years now, and even though conversations and dealings with some customers can become stressful, there is no need to tell the customer basically that they don't know anything and that their concerns are unfounded. The worker should have found a solution, and didn't. I will take my business to Crocker Park where I'm actually treated as a customer and my needs are tended to. Dealing with customers may sometimes become stressful, but everyone should learn to keep their cool and make a plausible solution so that both parties are happy. read more

Went into this store to purchase a new phone. Was given a salesperson right away, the sales person was young with no personality. I asked for the difference between 2 models and he told me the camera takes better video. Anything else? Asked and he said no.... sad at this point its obvious customer knows more the he does. The phone I was purchasing had less ram, different screen, different camera different unlock method than the other model. Luckily, I had my mind previously made up so asked for my phone. He handed me a sealed box and told me when I leave the store all I have to do is turn the phone on and restore my backup and I'm all set. He performed this task very well cause he was able to match up color and storage and gave me the right model. Well turns out thats where the good times ended, the phone crashed within 10 min and needed restored. 3 hours on the phone with Apple support so I could have a working phone. Too bad most of my backup was not compatible because it was not encrypted. They also asked why I didn't have the store transfer it. Well it wasn't an option I told them. They explained how it works but, it was too late cause I traded in my old phone. So now I'm 2 weeks in and still trying to recover passwords and things that didn't get saved because of an employee laziness. My advise is never shop this store, the guy in the middle of the mall will treat you better! Employees like this are a direct reflection of poor management. Don't expect Apples 800 number to help, they will promise to call in a few days, then call the wrong number, then send an email for a number and time. You give them both and they again call the wrong number at the wrong time. You'd think 3rd times a charm? Nope, right number but, they don't understand time. Must not be taught in the introductory to english class they give. Anyways long and short I wasted $900 on a phone that has potential but, I'd have to bribe someone to show me how transfer info and most stuff from my previous phones is gone forever. Now that I'm thinking about it save your money and buy a Samsung or Moto. Did I mention that comes from a person that has only had Iphones since 2011? read more

My iPhone had problems with wifi and camera after updating to iOS 7.1.2. After I discussed issues with the customer service, they tried everything they could to fix it including resetting the network to restoring the firmware. It still didn't work. Eventually, they replaced me a new phone. I did not expect to get the problems solved this way. I have been happy with the service at this store so far. read more

I dread this store. What concerns me is why we continue to purchase Apple products when the store is always packed with people waiting in line for Apple product issues. I simply had to replace a charger that broke less than 30 days after I purchased it. Having to make an appointment to replace a product that I purchased here is bad business, yet we still continue to punish ourselves. So I guess I need to review the Apple store based on two scenarios . The first scenario is when you make an appointment. If you make an appointment, you're in pretty good shape, your initial wait time is around 5-10 minutes.. 4 stars The second scenario is 'walk in'. Meaning you don't make an appointment and you walk in hoping you could just talk to somebody and get your "issue" taken care of. This scenario gives you a wait time of at least a half an hour possibly 45 minutes. Either way you're going to be there for quite some time. 2 stars. Now I have dealt with some knowledgeable people there but it seems as though I always end up with a replacement product. Since December I have had 2 iPhone 6s replacements, a charger replacement and my daughter had an Apple Watch replacement. Sound nice? Maybe, but not when you lose your Christmas videos that you didn't have a chance to back up. Or when you have to re download music, pictures or apps. It is a real pain in the keister, so maybe my issue is with Apple products. But the store itself and the way it is run is definitely 3-stars. read more

Waited for 2 hrs for our appt. No notifications. Went back to store. Waited another 36 mins. No one has talked to us. Couldn't even get an appt for the computer problem. Wife came here recently as well and associate said they couldn't do anything. Called a mobile repair rep who fixed our problem in 15 minutes. I'd never come here unless compelled, which seems to be Apples only business strategy these days. Congrats you are just as back as Microsoft now. read more

To start; the staff is nice enough. They have to be to be able to make it through a day of telling everyone their very expensive items are not getting fixed. I think I previously mentioned how when I had problems with my Samsung; it was fixed out of warranty and I was shocked. I had a Lenovo die 3x time! 3! Likely due to my apartment; University Edge in Kent, Ohio beware like the plague; had humidity levels around 95% because it was not built with care, I digress, and they replaced all computers without hassle three times. Apple is another story. I have had iPods since they came out (luckily never had to go to the store for them since they were the older rock hard models), but then 3 macbook Pros since 2011, three iPads, 2 iPhones, Mac display, and a iMac. Never ONCE have they fixed anything. Worst costumer service; it gets old. Nothing else I buy compared to the outrageous cost of an Apple/Macintosh item. I have to use them at work and I am sick of it. Their products work well which is why I buy them but they break; matter-of-fact; the newer items break very quick compared to the older items. Wonder why. My friend and I went here a few weeks ago as his battery was shutting off at 49% percent charge and of course they have some diagnostic test that said everything was fine and it still shuts off. The next week a recall but his serial number was not included. I have had trackpads die, burning odors, bad cables that are not able to be replaced,etc. In warranty or not; they always have some excuse. The diagnostic test my friend got said it was right where it should be and ironically his phone was in warrenty. Now that it is out for a few weeks; I am sure the real problem will be addressed. Then they will offer to fix it. My Macbook Pro that started making burning smells had a failing component or something. Will they fix their faulty items; my-good-lord-in-heaven-who-died-for-our-sins; hell no. They wanted 1.3k to do the replacements; I could but a used MacBook in better shape for that; do you think I am insane. I am not a big business that can write that off; I am a private citizen . So I walk out unhappy. My phone started to turn on and off after a software update; their excuse that the screen didn't look like theirs. I did get the phone used but it said never been replaced and it was 3 months old when I got it from a friend. So maybe my friend lied; but of course that is their reason. My display with the faulty cable; out of warranty. My trackpad on a new laptop; they found water; there was no water. I will admit that this location is much better than Crocker Park in Westlake; I have met some great people at this one but they still have ever reason to not assist you. My whole point is that if you are going here for a repair; may you find the strength of a thousand toddler mother's to leave with dignity or with the rare luck of a fix. If you are going to buy something; DON'T! I know it is modern, chic, and hip; but do not. It is a scam. I would never find myself saying this years ago but other products are really just as good and hard to say worse than their stuff. Beware the ides of march and please listen to my plea to not get trapped in their world. You pay 2k for a new computer and get no help ever. You cannot even call customer service, you get pushed from excuse to excuse. Apple. I hope you somehow go bankrupt as my service would not change any. read more

I went to the Apple Store because I was changing from a work phone to a personal phone. I was having issues with the iCloud. I walked in and was greeted right away and send to a table- she heard the issue and put me at another table- after a few minutes Aaron was helping me. This review is essentially for Aaron and the rest of the team. Aaron was multitasking between myself and maybe 3 other customers at the same time- giving us all the attention and service needed. I say, while my phone rebooted, and watch Aaron and the rest of the team. There were 2 employees working with a camp field-trip that did an incredible job keeping the attention of the kids while making their activities fun for the kids. The other employees never stopped moving- they were straightening up shelves, pushing stools in, and cleaning up cords. The service was great and the outcome of my issue was fixed. I recommend this location to all friends and family. read more

I came in with a cracked iPhone 7 screen today. I had actually just received the iPhone 3 days beforehand. Just been having a run of bad luck with phones lately. It was a little packed today in the store, but still very organized. I met with a rep in about 10-15 minutes after arriving and she was actually helping an older lady and I at the same time. But she did a great job of multi tasking never having me wait too long, even though I'm a pretty patient person anyways. She ran through everything with me, gave my options and told me which would be easier and cheaper. I appreciate that more than anything! Such a helpful employee, wish I had caught her name! This is the first time I've visited Apple Store. I was disappointed by the quality of service. I've scheduled an appointment and I was late about 10 mins and they canceled my appointment. I reschedule it and came on-time and waited 20 mins. The customer service was outstanding. A was told that the store opened at 8:00 a.m. for holiday hours but they were not open yet. The store manager of the Apple Store saw me sitting and waiting in a bench in the mall so he came out to ask me if I needed help. When I explained that my phone had frozen up during an update he brought me in the store and got a tech to help me resolve the problem. Now that's customer service! Bought an iPhone 5S the month it came out and everything was running smoothly until it one day decided to shut down and not charge. So I went to the Apple Store and checked if I could get my phone replaced since it was still under warranty and apple care. I waited more than half an hour just to get a "hello" out of one the employees there; an attractive female who walked in after me was greeted immediately. She had broken HEADPHONES which I can almost guarantee DO NOT come with apple care and/or a warranty; they were replaced within five minutes of her visit. My phone was taken to the back where they "scanned my idevice to check for authentic Apple parts". When they came back out with my phone, they told me I had tampered with the motherboard of my phone and they could not replace my phone and my apple care was revoked. Keep in mind I was 17 years old at the time, jobless, and I had (I still do not) had the skills and tools necessary to dissemble my phone. In conclusion, the team at the Apple Store did not replace my phone because they did not know what was going on with my phone and decided to make up an excuse instead of actually fixing the problem. There are suicide nets set up outside of the buildings where these God-forbidden devices are put together by sweatshop workers. If people overseas try to kill themselves putting these trash phones together, why would I take the time to take mine apart? Thanks apple. read more

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I went to the store after speaking with support online because I was having an issue with my iphone. I had been texting a friend when a black spec appeared, it then began to grow to the size of an icon and eventually to a perfect circle the size of 2 icons. The black spot also would move across the screen. In the place where it had been before it would go back to exactly the way it was before. Anyways, the technician made me an appointment at the summit mall store, and my email confirmation said between 5:20-5:30. I tried to be right on time at 5:20, but was a few minutes late due to some traffic arriving at 5:25 assuming I was fine because I was within my appointment window. Upon finding an apple person I said I had an appointment. They looked it up, said it was at 5:20 and I had missed it, and to go sit at a table and wait in line and someone would get to me when they could. About 30 minutes later a woman who had been helping the man next to me and about 5 other people, in between helping everyone else asked what was wrong. She looked at my phone and said a technician needed to look at it. About 2 minutes later the technician pulled her aside. When she returned she said the inside screen was cracked and that it would be $270 to repair because it was accidental damage. I tried explaining to her that I hadn't dropped my phone. Her reply was that, "Well I'm not saying YOU did, but someone did." I explained that I have no kids, or other adults around that could have dropped it. She did not seem to care and just said well if you had had apple care it would be $80. But since you don't its going to be $270. I left the store feeling defeated, with my still broken phone. The next morning after thinking about it some more I decided to call apple support to discuss my lack of service at the apple store and the problem with my phone. The store had left little to no notes on my case file that could assist the people on the phone, and nothing to indicate that anything was broken internally. After speaking with the person on the phone he indicated based on my description that it was unlikely a cracked LCD screen, as the summit mall store had indicated. He said unfortunately I would have to return to an apple store to get a replacement phone, but that he would make a note in my file that they were to give me a new one for free. Not wanting a repeat experience, I decided to head over to the store in Woodmere off Chagrin blvd. Upon arriving early for my appointment in Woodmere (not wanting a repeat cancellation) I was asked to take a seat and someone would be with me soon. About 5 minutes later, I was helped and explained the situation. They asked if they could take my phone back to the techs to look at it. When they returned 15 minutes later he did swap me a new phone, and indicated that the techs had found NOTHING wrong internally. Also, that there was no damage that would suggest that the issue was caused by me or anyone else dropping the phone. If I had to guess I would say the techs at the apple store at summit mall never even took the phone apart to see if there was something wrong!! Moral of the story DO NOT TRUST the techs at the apple store at summit mall. If you know you've done nothing to cause damage to your phone, do not shell out the $270/$80 depending on if you have applecare. The people on the phone were BEYOND helpful, I'd suggest calling before heading into any apple store. Also, just in general the store in Woodmere was nicer, less crowded, and way friendlier. read more

Great place! I came in for an ipad that won't turn on, and didn't expect it to be so busy there, but I was taken care of quickly by people who knew what thy were doing and were incredibly polite. Morgan, who helped me last and ended up giving me a new ipad (as mine was under warranty), was helping both me and an older gentleman, and she seamlessly helped both of us efficiently, proffessionally, and politely. read more

Went in to get an apple account fixed on an iPhone 6 Plus. The staff told us to go wait at the back tables telling us we will be helped as soon as possible. We sat waiting for around half an hour. We didn't mind the wait but then saw many people who came after us being helped first. We waited longer and didn't receive any help. In the end we waisted our time and walked out of the store. Don't waste your time at this store. I'm in utter shock that Apple would even hire employees like that. WILL NEVER GO BACK. Maybe it's time to change back to Samsung. read more

Going to Summit Mall is bad enough! They need to level this dump already. I had put off this visit to the "Genius Bar" at the Apple store since April 2015, that's how much I detest this place. I needed the plasma screen replaced after dropping it off a chair at the airport and broke down today and popped in (without a reservation) I understand how risky that is and fully understood why there was a 2 hr. wait. I will never understand why there are 20+ employees on the floor and yet there is always a wait to speak to someone. One person to greet you, one to sign you in blah, blah, blah! There has to be a more efficient system. On top of that, the annoying and pretentious employees in t-shirts.. Enough already Apple!! He is understanding, he listens and he takes the time to diagnose and fix all issues. I gave one star because they fraudulently charged my debit card and when I went to call them they gave a bs sly remark and said this company makes a lot of money and doesn't need to steal a $1.00 from people....just charge your card fraudulently and not man up and admit it....they fraud a lot of people for free stuff at that...and the manager needs to be fired immediately for being unprofessional and stealing for his own gain....It the fact that I don't understand why steal...smfh...wow just wow is all I can say!! read more

Got an appointment b/c my charger wasn't working. Was greeted right away, and although the guy I had an appointment with was busy, the "greeter" started getting my info and got the ball rolling. They replaced my charger at no cost, which was unexpected (and awesome!). While I was talking to the "Genius", Paul, a strange thing happened... everyone in the store started clapping. For a long time. It turns out that it was the last day for one of the associates. Literally everyone that worked there hugged it out with this guy, and they all clapped forever. It might have been annoying, except that it was so cool to see such camaraderie in a retail store! Unfortunately, somehow, the duck head charger (aka the slidey thing) got left at the store. When I got home, 30 minutes away, I kinda freaked. Called the store right as they were closing, and a very chipper dude took my info and set aside the piece for me. About 5 minutes later, the manager called me to see if they could help me out at all. I asked him if he could mail it, and he did! All in all, so very impressed. Thanks guys! read more

I have had my share of bad experiences but this is the first time I have been treated badly enough that I felt it my duty to warn others. 0 Stars not 1. If you want a broken, previously used, open box Iphone 6 Plus sold to you as "New" this is the store for you. If you want them to activate your new Iphone 6 Plus on the wrong line of your phone plan and not be able to fix it correctly this is the store for you. If you want to be treated like you are insignificant by management this is the place to go. If you want to be told you can bring in your old defective Iphone 5 for repair, to arrive at the store to be then told you have to set up an appointment for tomorrow and come back then this is your place. Sales team needs more training on activating lines on the correct line of a plan. Open Box items should not be sold as New. Especially ones that are broken and scratched. Management should try to work with customers to achieve reasonable satisfaction. Management should at least pretend to care. I believe that Apple's corporate offices should look into this store's reputation as they are effectively diminishing the name. Contact Apple directly for actual Customer Support. If I could only purchase Apple products through this store I would never buy one ever again. It's literally that bad! read more

Steve Jobs would roll over in his grave if he could only see what his dream had evolved into. I enjoy the quality of the product. It is of the highest standard. Unfortunately, once you need something repaired it can become a nightmare. Welcome to mass chaos in the APPLE Stores. Give a bunch of teens I pads and tell them to smile be polite and get information? After being asked for the same info from several different smiling helpful teens you start to get impatient. Even if you just want a screen replacement or a battery, you go through the same process. My advice to make this better, and if your just wanting to drop something off for repair and do not have hours to spend would be do like any other repair facility, and staff it to keep the line to a minimum. Drop off give your info once, get a tag. Come back give the tag, get your item and pay. If you are an Apple Groupie and just want to talk with someone about how to make your phone do tricks, then you can wait for the many geniuses they have. Fix my broken screen or replace my battery? Probably make up 90% of why people are there. This should be a cut and dried 5 minute process to drop off and pick up! Just Sayin! read more

I had done my research online about the iPhone 8, 8Plus, and the new X. I still had a list of questions. I initially went there Thursday evening just to get my questions answered, and to look at the models I was considering for purchase. The store was quite busy, but the associate who helped me was friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable about all of the apple phones. I was upfront that this was an "exploring my options" visit, and was treated very nicely. I did ask this associate if they work on commission, because she spent an hour with me, and I wanted to be sure she received credit for the future sale. She told me they don't work on commission. I returned to the store Saturday, and made my purchase. I did tell the associate who helped me Saturday that I had worked with another associate earlier that week. She also validated they do not work on commission. She was also very knowledgeable and friendly, and made the process pleasant and efficient. Every time I have needed to go to the Apple Store, either for purchase or service (I also have a MacBook Pro) I have always received the best customer service. A very frustrating and maddening experience. Long wait. Rude condescending clerk. Theatrical diagnostics that were inaccurate. Was talked down to and constantly interrupted. Made me feel like they were doing me a favor by ordering a battery they told me I didn't need, even though my phone won't hold a charge. 3 weeks later still no battery, no follow up. read more

Horrible experience. My phone got wet. Just because my phone had water damage they treated me like crap and wouldn't even try to help me. Both workers that I spoke to shrugged off my issue and wouldn't help me at all. The "tech" plugged my phone in for one second came back said that there was nothing that they could do and said to try and contact a third party to see if they could get my pictures off of my phone because my iCloud wasn't working and it didn't back my phone up. I asked him what kind of a third party place are you referring to? I said geek squad? he gave me a little smirk and said "I don't know a third party place could maybe help you" So I took my phone literally 5 minutes down the road and this nice man fixed my phone in 10 minutes. All I needed was a new battery. Thanks apple for not helping me. I really appreciate it. The guy down the road has my business from now on. I will not return to apple again. read more

Waited an hour and a half while employees bumbled and fumbled their way to not being able to help me. Just another retail situation where, if they are not SELLING you something expensive, they are not interested in helping you unless it is a quick fix. How can an Apple store have such a poor connection that they cannot even download something without repeatedly getting kicked off the connection? How is it that an Apple store cannot text a customer when the download is complete when they are surrounded by phones and computers that have texting capabilities. Seriously did I just get a dud salesperson or is this how this company actually operates?? Not impressed and not buying anymore Apple products again. read more
