The level of instruction varies from teacher to teacher but overall your child will be exposed to new concepts and ideas on a daily basis. Concepts that are emphasized are motor development, math, reading and writing skills as well as outside concepts such as how things work. It is important to get to know your child's teacher. Similar to other jobs there are instructors who have and will continue to have a deep passion for working with children while others are there due to job stability. Overall as far as safety and your child's wellbeing it is a safe environment where your child can socialize and grow before entering a district school or school of your choice.

I feel like she's well-prepared to start Kinder in the fall. I'm also impressed with the advancements I've seen in my son as he's progressed through the toddler program into the 2s. All of the teachers make an effort to know every child's name and I think that makes them feel very special and included. I appreciate that they went through the process to become accredited and have a strong curriculum in place (while leaving plenty of room for the kids to still have fun). It's also nice that being in a federal building makes you feel like the kids are very safe. There are numerous security measures in place to finally get through the center's door, but nothing that would scare the kids. All of the building's security officers are so sweet with the kids!

My biggest problem was enforcing policies across the board for all children and parents. I felt like my daughter was scratched WAY TOO MUCH! I understand kids scratch, but if the nail clipping policy is enforced and parents are required to cut their daughter's or son's nails, scratches would happen less. Teachers should have nail clippers available at drop-off so parents can clip their children's nails. All in all, whenever I had a critique or comment for staff, it was always heard and respected.

My son is two years old and he has speech delay, and his own therapists have witnessed no form of order whatsoever. My son attended for about a year and there have been many incidents where he either gets bitten by a kid or he bites, kids are kids and sometimes accidents happen. His teacher, Patricia would stand on one side of the classroom and yell at all the kids. One day when I picked him up from the day care, I noticed his bangs were significantly shorter. My son has almost shoulder length hair and has long bangs that covers his eyes. I was able to see his eyes clearly and noticed on his shirt that there were hair clippings inside his shirt. I talked to the director and all of his teachers and no one knew what happened or who cut his hair. The director defended her staff and told me if I wasn't comfortable, to just move my son to another day care. It was very disrespectful to me for someone to cut my son's hair without my consent when I was trying to grow out his hair. This is unacceptable and if the director, Yohanna, herself cannot give an explanation on who and why they cut my son's hair, I do not trust my son in that center. Everyone at the center denied the incident and told me they did not have an answer to what happened and the director Yohanna stated even if a teacher did commit the incident, the teacher was not going to confess to the incident. I cannot trust ANY teacher in that school whatsoever. My son's hair may grow back, but the abuse that was committed will never leave my son and will affect his development. My son was already delayed in speech and now he is further delayed due to the lack of teaching and no control. I would ask how my son's day was and no one ever knew anything because by the time I arrived to pick up my son at 4:30 his teacher would gone and the substitute would know nothing. I had ask numerous of times for a behavioral report and I never received one. Again, there is absolutely no order at this school. There are tv's in the classrooms and I can assure myself that was probably all the kids do. The substitutes seem that they do not receive training at all, one afternoon I came to pick up my son, a substitute was in his classroom and the teacher had music blasting of "The Wheels on the Bus" and there was about 12 kids in all of the 2 year old classroom and all of the kids were on top of each other and my son was at the bottom and was trying to tell me he had hurt his knee, the substitute did not acknowledge me nor did she ask who I was picking up, anyone could've gone inside the classroom and taken another child and no one would have noticed. PLEASE AVOID THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!

If you are looking for a place for your child to be nurtured or encouraged this is not the school. This school does not promote having a mind, thinking outside the box nor creativity. Looking more for robot students. There is hardly any financial assistance and way overpriced for the quality of education received. I would not recommend this school.

Additionally, they just didn't show up for an appointment they pestered me about and when i contacted them at 6pm, i got an 'oopsie' reply from a third party person who said i'd be contacted by the office. That was several months ago so.... All in all I just didn't appreciate how I was treated.

Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

We were never required to mop, clean toys. There's always bugs and rust on the floors and walls, food stuck as well. Very outdated, lots of broken toys. I feel as if the parents that have their children attending this program knew what really went on in the classrooms, they wouldn't have their child enrolled. I voiced many opinions about the conditions to the director and eventually was laid off because of personal differences. I was also called a liar and wasn't being taken seriously with my concerns. The church in the separate building is nothing like the MDO program. Its a very great fellowship with a wonderful pastor. Don't let the representation of the MDO program give you a bad opinion about the ACTUAL church.

I've been so impressed with how much she has learned and retained from the classes she has attended. This has been the best investment for us to prepare her to excel once she begins elementary school. The school's hours are from 9-2 but early and late care is available. Class sizes are small and there are ALWAYS two teachers in the classroom. I highly recommend this program.

She failed to communicate with me as the parent of the children. She never spoke or addressed me about anything. Per Margret she felt "uncomfortable ", but if that were the case she should not be a "teacher". Which is also a common thing throughout the entire facility. If they do not know you, you will not be greeted.Margaret complained about small issues that she should have been able to handle and nothing was ever her fault or within her job of handling. Our last straw was her treating my child (9) as a criminal over a toy that shouldn't have been brought to the daycare in the first place nor did he steal. I was not notified of any issues at pickup. My husband and I were notified of the issue at the end of business the next day right before pick up.Margaret is also a liar. If you would like to take your children here, beware if your kids are not raised by "them" they will be mistreated. I expressed my concerns about the ratio and the wellbeing of the children and the teachers to the director Sonya and she decided to terminate my child's care immediately. I didn't curse her out or anything. I simply expressed my concerns about the fact that it's 1 teacher and AT LEAST 7 infants (there's 7 infants in the classroom my child was in). Texas teacher to infant ratio is 1:4 (0-11 months) and 1:5(12-17 months) and even that is a lot. so for one teacher to be left with up to 9 babies is crazy. The director claims that it's two teachers but every day I picked him up there is not two teachers. The other teacher is with the toddlers. She claims that she cares about the well being of the children and the staff but I can't tell. There was literally a toddler in the room with 7 other infants and still ONE teacher. That is unsafe for all the children and the teacher. If I dropped my child off before the infant teacher got there, my child was out with the bigger kids and they were completely out of ratio. Also they changed the pick up/drop process less than 2 hours after I expressed my concerns about the ratio. It is a really small daycare. Getting to and from the daycare is a hassle. Parking is a nightmare. Navigating through the daycare itself is a hassle. My child was only there for 15 days before he was terminated immediately and it honestly was a blessing in disguise. Please think twice before you send your child here and if you still decide to I wish you and your family the best!
