We love this facility! We have been with Young Stars for almost 2 years and the staff and teachers are wonderful. My children are now 3.5 and 10 months. I have nothing but good things to say about Mrs. Anna and Ms. Destiney in the infant room - they are so thoughtful and attentive with the little babies. Additionally, Ms. Nicole (2 year olds) and Ms. Ashlee and Ms. Bree (3 year olds) have been fabulous for my older child. They support the whole child and truly do care for their well being and education. I have been so impressed at how much they have learned and grown during our time here. Further, the administration is great. They respond quickly to emails/calls and provide detailed information when necessary. We have not experienced staff turnover issues either. If I can do TEN STARS I would. Young Stars has been more than family to me and my wife. My daughter has been attending Young Stars since she was 12 months and now she is three years old in the pre-school classroom. She was admitted at a rough time when Covid hit, so we had to do everything virtually and I couldn't even tour the property. Ms. Eva helped me with video calls explaining everything and let me talk with her future teacher Ms. Shavoya. I was touring 3 other daycares but I knew in my heart, Young Stars will be the place I choose for my daughter. Two years have passed and now I feel like I am part of their family and they are part of mine. Ms. Tamesha was the best addition ever, she is a great fantastic leader and you can sense the fact that every teacher loves her and feels lucky to be working under her leadership. Ms. Ashley and Ms. Bree pamper us by taking all these beautiful pictures and videos of my daughter, that I can see all day long through the KinderCare app. I can track what they ate, daily activities and the plan for the whole day. Being in the Federal building with all the security measurements makes me feel so comfortable that my daughter is in a safe place surrounded by people that truly love her and care for her needs. Whatever I say is not enough to express my respect and gratitude to all of them and their dedication, and now that we are expecting a baby boy in June, I didn't waste time and got on the waiting list the day we found out my wife is pregnant. Stars & Tykes (Now Young Stars) has completely surpassed all of my expectations for child care for my 5 month old. The infant room makes me feel good about leaving my daughter as I go to work. It's really hard as a new mom to get over the anxiety of being away from your child for the first time and after trying a different daycare when I first returned to work, I'll just say the teachers are a breath of fresh air! Even the director, Teresa, gets involved and gets to know your babies. I love it! Miss Courtney and Miss Johnnie make a great team in the Infant A room. I've been sending my 2-year-old here for just under a year. They have really worked with him and his language skills have greatly improved. He's creative and social. It was a very good center 1 yr back but is not good now. The classes are highly overcrowded, teachers are not interested in looking after kids and the class notes are also not put properly on what your kid did for the day. Also, there is a huge attrition rate with one teacher leaving every month. In the last one year I have been here, I have seen almost 12-15 teachers leave. In toddlers class, the way teachers shout at kids is not good. Instead of explaining what they did wrong, they get shouted upon and held by wrist and dragged to another place. Sometimes I have seen kids who didn't do anything wrong but still were shouted upon as the teacher was not paying any attention to kids and just randomly picked up a kid to shout upon when the kids were fighting. This does not leave a good impression on kid and they learn to shout and misbehave at home to get their ways. Also, I have seen teacher push kids with their foot as they don't want to move from where they are sitting. The management has been trying to improve their image from one year or so by forcing parents to write reviews about teachers. On Yelp also, you can see most of the good reviews written between 8/30 to 9/5. They know that no parent would write a bad review as they leave their kids at daycare and they don't want to earn a bad reputation by writing a bad review which can affect their kid care while they are away. Also, I have seen many accidents, bite incidents etc. You can choose this daycare if you have no other option but if you are looking for a good daycare, don't go here. read more

Young Stars has been such a blessing for our family. Our son joined one of their two infant classrooms when he was 9 months old and it was remarkable how quickly he adapted to being in daycare. Much of this can be attributed to his teachers. He has had the same teachers throughout his infant room experience and it obvious they care about him and his success very much. Almost immediately, our son was learning to be more independent and was learning from watching and interacting with his peers and his teachers. His teachers always keep us in the loop on what he is learning and working on in class that we can be practicing and reinforcing at home. One day I came in and he was holding his own bottle, which was a game changer that I could never get him to do! The app that Young Stars uses to communicate with parents and track the child's activity is great. Everyday I can see what he was learning, how often he drank/ate, how many diapers he had, how often he napped, and even pictures of his activities! I also appreciate the newsletters that provide insight into upcoming activities and the center's initiatives outside of the infant classroom. We will be moving to a big kid classroom soon and I know we will have just as wonderful an experience as we did in the infant classroom. read more

We've been very happy with our experience here for the last year. We have one in the pre-K program and I am really impressed with the advancements she's made in the last year. I feel like she's well-prepared to start Kinder in the fall. I'm also impressed with the advancements I've seen in my son as he's progressed through the toddler program into the 2s. All of the teachers make an effort to know every child's name and I think that makes them feel very special and included. I appreciate that they went through the process to become accredited and have a strong curriculum in place (while leaving plenty of room for the kids to still have fun). It's also nice that being in a federal building makes you feel like the kids are very safe. There are numerous security measures in place to finally get through the center's door, but nothing that would scare the kids. Our son has attended Young Stars since he was 3 months old and we couldn't be happier. The administrative staff is always friendly and very personable. The teachers are engaged with the children and with the addition of the Tadpoles App I can always see what my child is learning or what activity they did for the day. They also keep the parents informed through bulletin boards, emails, and newsletters. We have had our son here for just about a year. He started in Wobbly Walkers and is now in Discovery Preschool (2 year olds). I cannot tell you how much he has grown since starting here. He wasn't a shy kid to begin with, but he has come out of his shell even more than I ever thought possible! His speech is more along the lines of a 3+ year old. He remembers and sings the songs they learn, can recite and show me letters, can tell me about T Rex dinosaurs, etc. It is truly amazing watching him grow and he seems to love the environment here. My 4-year old absolutely LOVES this Center. She has flourished in this daycare/school setting. When asked what she learned today, she is quick to say "check your tadpole"-which is an app that provides all the information your child did for that day, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. I am quick to check the app and get her to tell me more about the activity mentioned on the app. I am thankful that a friend recommended this daycare. Teacher and child ratio is not only met but supersedes the recommended standard - meaning all children have one on one attention and quality care. Staff is friendly! They really teach through play. My son has been going to Young Stars for the last few months. Honestly I don't understand why the negative reviews. I guess our emotions get the best of us sometimes. My son loves his teachers and says he has fun there every day. I can see improvement in his reading and writing already. The daily email lets me know what he's doing and eating (why is it they can never remember? lol) and it delivers photos and videos of what they are actually doing in class. Young Stars is more affordable than any school we've ever been to and it's easy to get to if you work downtown. We like this place and will keep coming back. read more

The center is clean, staff are always friendly and my daughter is always excited to see her friends when we arrive. The facility and its employees are great. But the director is horrible. She has forced us to take our child home based on her PERSONAL opinion regardless of having a doctor's note for my son's allergies and diaper rash. She states it's "up to our discretion" to send a child home. She chose her own PERSONAL opinion over a MD. Even on their faculty's note that gives the explanation for being sent home it states "child sent home due diaper rash unless a DOCTOR'S NOTE is given." A doctor's note was given but she attempted to send him home anyways. Why have a policy in place if you do not follow it? Why should I ever take my child to his pediatrician if she will disregard it? This director PERSONALLY called me and has done this 3 times in the short 2 months my son has been there. Horrible place. She had even gone as far as blaming my child for infecting other children with pink eye and strep. Outrageous. read more

Not good for children under 1 yrs old. Teachers did not burp my baby after feeding and he three up all over the floor. Baby got sick often. I would pick him up and find that he had been lying on a boppy pillow for a long time because his eyes were all red from crying. Unfortunately my child's stay at the Dallas location was short due to a situation that was less than optimal. I had no direct issues with management; however a one of her teachers physically and verbally abused my child-which I saw with my own eyes. No apology was ever given from that teacher who is still employed there and she even verbalized that "she had dealt with a lot from me". I guess expecting one to do the job they were hired to do is too much to ask these days. Because of the company's confidentiality policy, no update is available. It's rather sad that our systems are so twisted that a person who has abused a child can still be allowed to care for children. If you choose to utilize this daycare just know that a police report was filed by me and it was reported to the state; however, no violations were found (according to the state's website). I'm happy where she is now, but I would be less of a parent to not try to educate other parents in their decision for their child's care. I'm sure the "care giver" will walk a fine line, but listen to your children. If they are suddenly crying when they are being left it is probably for a reason. read more

We have been with Young Stars for a total of 4 years now and overall have been very happy with the center and our children being here. My son is 4 1/2 and is so incredibly smart which I give the center a lot of credit for. He has loved all of his teachers and they have been extremely good with teaching their curriculum and making it fun for the kids. Each year I'm amazed with his progress and feel that he will be more than prepared for Kindergarten. He also loves coming to school and his teachers have been awesome!! There was a period where there was a lot of turn over with the teaching staff, however, the team that is there now is probably the best I've seen in our 4 years with the center. I truly feel that the teachers care for and love my children. There are also many teachers there that have been with the center since before we started. My daughter has been there for the last year and half and is now in the toddler room. I can tell that she loves going to school as each morning she runs to hug her teacher and could pretty much care less about me once she sees her. As with any daycare there are going to be times when kids get sick and incidents happen. You are never going to find a "perfect" daycare or school that magically avoids this. I can say however that any time we have a had an issue it has been resolved promptly and professionally. I recommend this daycare to friends and family all the time, I sincerely believe it is a great place for kids. read more

Honestly I believe everyone has a right to voice their opinion on their experience but always remember when your reading reviews there are also people who have a purpose to harm a business reputation due to them not wanting to follow proper procedures or them taking a small thing and turning it into a huge issue that wasn't true just to hurt others. This center believes in doing what's right for children and anytime the Director or Assistant is informed of a concern they take it and handle it with priority. Unfortunately there have been parents upset if their child is ill and does have to go home but that's a very small percentage of families, most understand being in a group setting the Director must follow strict guidelines to ensure the health and safety of ALL children. To the parent that speaks about the Director disregarding a Doctor note to her convenience she didn't mention she was wanting to use the same Doctors note from several months back and her sons rash was bleeding and open. The Director would never force anyone to provide anything other than documents that reports the child is in good health for the specific issue they are dealing with at that moment. As for any allegations about the staff at this location, the quality of care is always the most important and anytime a parent brings concern it is looked upon, investigated, and handled. The center will always self report to the state as well to help in any investigation. They do not keep any staff that don't show love, respect, and quality educational program and therefore it causes for higher turnover at times. The center has high expectations and sometimes teachers that come in can't meet those. The center appreciates any reviews provided. read more
