The teachers are engaging, truly invested in my children's education and passionate about seeing my children succeed. Ms Suk and Pastor Suk take cares of the kids like it's their own grandchildren. They cook homemade meals and provide healthy snacks. i was enrolled at apple tree when i was 2 years old and was there till i was 11 years old i am now a high school student and i still remember all they have done for me and my little sister. They took great care of us and always helped with homework making sure that our homework was completed with work shown and the paper neat. prepared us for when we were entering kindergarten so we practically knew what was being taught. Ms.Suk and her team is amazing! My son has been attending her class for two years and has learned so much in every way! As a first-time mother, she has given me a lot of guidance on how to go about working with my child at home. She's able to pinpoint my son's strength and weakness very well. Initially we were hesitant in placing our son in daycare because he couldn't fully talk yet, but Ms. Suk reassured us that once he settles in, he would be talking in no time. Boy was she right! I can not say enough good things about Apple Tree Learning Academy. When we first started looking for a daycare we wanted something that felt like school, but also had the intimacy and one-on-one attention that a daycare offers. Apple Tree check all of our boxes! Our son started going there at 2.5 years old and is now almost five; the amount he's learned and flourished in that time is in no small part due to the attention, care, and education he's received at Apple Tree. They treat each of their students like family, cooking daily lunches, paying attention to their individual and unique needs, and even helping with potty training need be. My son has learned so much there that I am confident he will be well prepared for Kindergarten! He's also made an amazing group of friends that have become more like family. Our daughter has been going to Apple Tree Learning Academy since she was 2. Now she is 3 1/2 and the growth she has shown is immeasurable. I owe a large portion of it to Apple Tree. Mrs. Suk and her staff (Mrs. Tanaz, Mrs. Ruksana, Mrs. Lily, Mrs. Jasmine, Mrs. Hemma, etc...) all have their unique gifts, talents and disciplinary ways with the kids. The beauty of it all is how well they all mesh together to form the perfect Academy for young child development and care. Every time I walk in to drop off or pick up my girl, I am greeted with a hello. When I inquire about how my child has been throughout the day, I get straight answers and even some very sound advice (something every first time parent can use, especially from someone with a plethora of knowledge on how kids behave). It is a testament to the character of this daycare. The fact that they will take the time to give me tips, advice, support or even just an ear to listen to me speak nonsense about myself...haha The place is well kept, clean and there is a great area in the back with many things for the kids to burn off all that excess energy they have and to do it safely. All the teachers genuinely care about the growth, development and education of each student that attends. Since it also functions as an after school program facility, there are kids of all ages there too. I see them working on their homework while waiting for their parents to show up. As for food, my daughter is absolutely in love with the head chef, Mrs. Suk. She creates a monthly program list of what's on the menu for the month so the parents can take it home. This way you don't make spaghetti that night when they just had it for lunch. (This really helps your ego from being smashed when your child refuses to eat your food you cooked at home, lol). The meals are always fresh and the well balanced choices of fruits, veggies, snacks and deserts are always a pleasure for the parents to know those young developing brains are getting the proper nutrition to grow strong and healthy. One great thing I love about this place is the musical element. Music is a huge part in our household and to see Mrs. Suk play the piano and have the kids singing and dancing and clapping is something that resonates strongly with our family. Don't even let me mention the yearly Christmas performance...beyond cute...and this is something they put on just for the parents. Apple Tree Learning Academy will definitely go the extra mile for your child. My wife and I researched places from Cerritos to Tustin and all in between and this is what we chose for our daughter. Finding before and after school care is extremely difficult. A family must weigh the pros and cons. Apple Tree has pros: great price, intimate atmosphere, flexibility. However, I am sorry to say that the cons have heavily outweighed the pros. My child attended for a year and half and suffered greatly. She was made to feel that she was always unwelcomed, doing the wrong thing and did not have friends. She always said that she hated going but could not say why at 5 years old. After her constantly complaining about going to the facility and seeing an increase in behaviors at home, I made the decision to remove her from the facility. She has now stated that she was yelled at, humiliated in front of peers, had no friends, and made to feel awful about herself. As a parent, I also realized that my 5 year old was not being transported in a booster. This changed after I address the issue. Since leaving Apple Tree, our family has seen a huge change in our child for the better. I understand that daycare is hard to find, however I would never recommend this place. My kids have been attending this school for more than two years now. They previously attended a montessori in Anaheim Hills but I was not satisfied with their teacher: My daughter started having pretty severe diaper rash which she never had. After I learned of Appletree, and in spite of my reservation about its academia and curriculum, I enrolled them here because it was really clean - the school was fully renovted at the time I enrolled my kids. The outward appearance of the building is not very pleasant but once you walk in there, it's a different story. The director, Mrs. Suk, is extremely experienced and knows her stuff - she has since hired 3 montessori certified teachers and is in the process of transitioning it to a Montessori center. She is very neat, sanitary, and instructs her staff to be the same way. My daughter's rash disappeared only a few days after she started at this school. I can't say enough good things about this school and I have to say I am very grateful about how economical it is. I am paying a third of what I was paying at the Anaheim Hills montessori. Also, as a working mother, it is so nice that they serve lunch. I am all the more happy as the food served is probably healthier than what I give them at home. :) This is not only on the menu but I have seen what they are served hen I occasionally pick my kids up earlier during their lunch hour. The teachers that I am failiar with - Ms. Tienez and Ms. T are excellent and full of love. Overall, it's a hard-to-find treasure with low student-faculty ratio and with passionate teachers. read more

I have an extremely energetic, willfull, and spirited little girl - and the staff at Apple Tree consistently work hard to direct her energies in productive and positive directions. They provide me with honest reports regarding her academic and behavioral achievements and "hiccups" each day. Something I find especially unique about this school is the mixed demographics of its families and teachers. Children are taught early on that all colors are beautiful. Academically, my daughter and her 3 1/2- 4 year old classmates are close to, if not surpassing, most kindergarten curriculum. Each child is treated with love and respect. This is absolutely NOT a sterile environment for young robots. The teachers hug, play with, tease, discipline, encourage, and educate the children as if they were there own. Most children, including mine, are there from at least 8a -5p, so they fact that my daughter looks forward to seeing her extended family each day is a godsend to a working parent. Evidence of HOW much I love this school for my daughter: I moved from Fullerton to Costa Mesa, and still make the drive to Anaheim each day because I believe so strongly that this is the best environment for my daughter until she enters kinder next year. read more

I am having a difficult time articulating the wonders of Apple Tree Learning Academy considering my fellow parents have already spoken so highly about it. I don't want to sound repetitive, but it is in fact an amazing place for our children. I am a single mom of a 4 year old child and have found a tremendous amount of support from the Apple Tree Family. My daughter loves her class mates (as evidenced by her constantly inviting them all to our house) and her teachers. Mrs. Suk, the director, has done a wonderful job in fostering the strengths of each child. My child loves to sing and it is not uncommon for her to come home and sing for me a song she has learned at school. Mrs. Suk and her staff are always willing to lend me an ear as well as provide me with reports regarding my daughter's progress, something I truly appreciate as I can then ensure that we are all on the same page. The staff is always honest and I believe they are so because they truly have the best interest of the children in mind. Maybe because Apple Tree is located in a converted home, the feeling I get when I go there is one of "family." I know that when I go, I will not only be greeted by the staff but by the other children as well. Together, the children celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. Their Holiday Concert is awesome and does wonders to boost the children's self-esteem as they realize how many people are there to see them perform. The structure of the day is also well-balanced with plenty of opportunities to play and explore and mixed in with academia and health and nutrition. Overall, the site is awesome. If you have any doubts, you can just look and listen to the smiles and laughter of the children who are there on a daily basis. What can I say, Apple Tree is the Best!!! Ms. Suk and her husband are truly warm-hearted people that genuinely care for our children and for their future. They set a solid foundation from the beginning set on excellent values, demonstrating and teaching manners, praying and saying grace before every meal, demonstrate and teach respect, and remain consistent. I loved how they taught with everything they did. Most care facilities allow the kids to run, scream, holler, be disrespectful, etc., but you wont find that here! Ms. Suk expects the best from the children. For kids in grade school, homework hour is the first thing they do. The children are instructed to do their homework and one of the instructors will review it. The teachers will have the kids redo their homework if it is 'sloppy' or messy. Everything is reviewed and provide excellent support for kids who are struggling academically. My son started attending Apple Tree when he was 1 1/2 years old. He was potty trained here, and by the time he started Kindergarten, he was reading and writing, and practically knew the entire curriculum before starting. Ms. Suk and her staff challenge the children and are always teaching, in everything they do, there are no limits here. I can't say enough of how well they treat the kids and how much the kids grow academically here. If that wasn't enough, all of their meals are cooked fresh! My son (he's now 10) still tells me that he misses Ms. Suk's cooking, ha! They have balanced meals cooked from the heart. Highly, highly recommend Apple Tree Learning Academy. My child has been attending "Apple tree Learning Academy" for about two years now, and I can happily say that it has help my daughter out in many ways. For example, she came out of her shell, she is not shy at all.She has learn her alphabet and numbers very quickly. I had my child there for a few years, Mrs. Suk and her husband always seemed nice. HOWEVER, until about 3 months ago, when they were supposed to pick up my daughter from school, which they did daily. Apparently my 3rd grader's teacher let her and another boy (who also attends this daycare ) out a few minutes late, the kids walked out to the front of the school and nobody was waiting for them, MR. SUK LEFT THEM. He didn't even think to look for them once ( this i verified with the police and the school ). Mrs. Suk calls me at work an hour after my child has been left and leaves me a message saying " Melissa your daughter was not at school, can you go get her please we didn't see her" she failed to however mention that they left TWO children not one!. I called the school and they said my 8 year old daughter wasn't there! Already an hour and a half had passed! I proceeded to call 911 immediately and then i called appletree back, she started to tell me that it wasn't her fault the kids didn't come out on time, it was the teachers, she did everything but make an effort to help me find my missing daughter!! meanwhile she hadn't even called and told the other mom her son was missing as well!! Luckily, the boy who was also left behind knew his mom worked as a teacher at the junior high down the street ( where my older daughter attends as well). So my baby and him decided to walk to that school through a park by themselves and find his mom! God was watching over these babies because they found two 7th graders who had his mom as a teacher after they got lost in the big school and they helped them find her. Finally Mrs. Suk calls me and says really coldly they found the kids and that THEY DECIDED TO WALK AWAY! she blamed them for this ridiculous negligence! The police stated it was negligence on their part and the schools. Thankfully I have my baby now safe and sound after what seemed the longest two hours of my life! If you don't believe me, or she tries to lie, please the the TYPE A citation she was given for this act! Once social services went to investigate, Mrs. Suk gathered all the children while the worker was there and told them not to say anything, she was caught by the social worker doing this, then she tried to tell her teachers not to answer anything to the worker, and she was caught again! the social worker forced her out of her own building and away from the children and the staff! But it gets worse, when the social worker asked to speak to her husband Mr. Suk she lied and said he didn't speak english! the social worker said she doesn't care she will get a translator, but he needed to get there immediately. Once Mr. Suk arrived he spoke perfect English and admitted to the worker that he left the children! Therefore this daycare was fined and cited! Please don't send your children there, this woman is horrible!the teachers are nice,but Mrs. Suk is horrible. I hope another child doesn't go missing due to their negligence, p.s excuse any errors, i can't write this out calmly, my baby is still traumatized due to these idiot's actions. read more

My four year old son was at appletree for two weeks. He came home one day and started complaining about his teacher hitting him with a ruler and grabbing his arm and shoveing him nagainst the wall. I called the director Jung and told her about it and she said it was a a lie my son was making it up and said "oh no! we don't even touch our kids here." So I took him to school the next day, show up a little early to pick him up and hear a child gettting yelled at extremely loud. I was able to hear it from outside so as I walk in turns out it was my son getting yelled at by the director Jung. He needed to pee again and he had just gone 20min ago. Jung the director yelling at him told him " you just went" "your gunna go to to the doctors so they can give you a big long shot with a long needle. I heard her say this as I walked in and she saw me she turned pale. I asked what was going on. My son tried to tell me what she said she yelled over his voice and told him to go get his things. I took him outside asked him what happened and, he said the same thing I had heard. He was told he was going to get taken to the doctors and given a big long shot and needle because he went to the restroom too often. I confronted the director Jung about what she had told him. She denioed it all and after I told her i heard her still denied it. I ended up getting my refund for the two weeks my son was there and she changed her story on me several times. First she said she had never said that after i heard her and my son said the same thing. Second she said she said shot and not needle. Third she said dhe remember she did say needle but, meant a needle you sew with. Finally she said she did say it all but, was jokling thats how she jokes with kids and she was yelling because that's how she talks. Now about the hitting my son has two bruises on his body one on his arm and one on his face he says he got the one on his arm nfrom the teacher throwing him against the wall. The same day the director changed her story on me a few times all of a sudden she remembered the teacher did touch him and she says "oh she gently grabbed his wrist and put him by the wall not hard so soft" I tole her there is no reason for you to touch my son and she said "what do you expect me to do than" This place is Horrible the hurt children and tramatize them. I opened a case with the Anaheim PD and turms outin the past two years three cases have been reported of children gettng hit/yelled at at Appletree Learning Academy! read more
