Waitress was slow but pretty friendly. I didn't know it was happy hour on a Sunday. I ordered a couple of drinks and before we left I heard another waitress telling a customer about happy hour. I paid regular price for my drinks but definitely would have gotten something on happy hour menu. Had to send my side salad back because there were soooo many brown pieces and a couple of green pieces that were rotted. She asked if I wanted another but I had already lost my appetite by then. Went to eat with my mom and 2 babies. Ordered our food and it came out cold. Our oriental salads were not made right and were basically bagged lettuce and over cooked fried chicken with no meat. I was very polite and informed the waitress which was very sweet and helpful and went back to have 2 more salads made. The second ones arrived much better and we ate our salads. Upon the last bite I took a bite into something hard and tasted like a bitter pill. Absolutely disgusting. I still can't get the taste out of my mouth. My babies food was dry and gross. I'm giving four stars because I appreciate the many choices on the kids menus. Often when I take my four grandchildren out, the young ones are limited to a few choices. But this time they could have steak and, wow, were they excited! Applebee's has two levels of kids meals: kid size and then that in-between "Really Really Hungry" size for those who aren't toddlers, but not quite ready for an adult portion. I also appreciate that they offer milk, chocolate milk, and a couple of juice choices in addition to sodas. I ordered a mozzarella stick appetizer for everyone. There were plenty of sticks, but with hungry kids that lasted about 2.5 minutes. I did enjoy my steak/ribs combo, too. The restaurant was full, but the service was steady, with one manager pitching in to help delivery meals. Overall, a satisfying meal and happy grandkids! read more

She came walking over and looked at it for 2 seconds then asked "we'll do you want more?" And walked away. Waiter noticed how rude she was and called her back as if she did not understand what was going on and the manager straight up said "idk what you guys want me to do, you want shrimp instead?" We didn't wait long for a table on Friday night. The food was good. The service could have been better. When we weren't ready right away, our server did not return for at least 15 minutes, long after we had decided on our food. Additionally, he never came to refill our empty water glasses! Always check your Carside To Go before you leave the parking lot. I ordered Fish and Chips something that is pretty hard to mess up. When I got home and checked the box, it had three pieces of fish, tarter sauce and coleslaw in a condiment cup that was the same size as the sauce. I called to complain and spoke with the manager who apologized and said he would make it up to me by sending me certificates for two free meals since one of ours was ruined. He told me to give it one to two weeks to arrive in the mail. It has been over a month and I have yet to receive anything from Applebee's in the mail. I doubt that I will. Unfortunately I am probably just another causality in a long line of many who made the mistake of using Carside To Go. I wish I could say this was the first negative experience with picking up food this way, but it wasn't - just the first time it was horrible enough to complain! ***UPDATE - approximately a week after posting this review, I received two $10 certificates in the mail. read more

I dislike Applebee's as it is but I wanted to try this one and give it a shot. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated next to the servers. All you could hear was them frantically talking about how busy it was. Our server never brought plates for us to eat the appetizers with after asking 2 times. You have to ask for water refills I ordered a second cocktail and it took 35 minutes for me to get , with 3 people behind the bar plus the confused looking manager I kept looking and it just never was my drink. New tables were getting served theirs. We did the build your own sampler and decided we wanted more wings thinking it oils be an additional 3 for the added appetizer. Nope of course not because they have no idea what they are doing here it was $10. This was a struggle as well due to the waitress handing us two checks that were not our tables. Check you check before paying. Honestly I won't come here again. It sucks that this is the only place with cocktails and food. Way to crammed. People are stuffed everywhere here and the lighting is way too bright. read more

The food was ok, and the server was personable. However, the dishes were very dirty, with visible food left onand in the cups, and the tea pots. For a newer Applebee's, I am surprised on how dirty the dishes were. I asked for a new cup, and the server stated all cups were stained, and brought my mom and I our hot water in styrofoam cups. We arrived at noon for lunch this last Friday. I have three small children under six along with my husband. We stood there for at least 10 minutes. There was NO ONE in the restaurant whatsoever, not even staff. Two women walked in behind us eventually, so I decided to hand out menus and utensils and sit people ourselves to find out exactly how long it would take them to get to us. After sitting the two ladies, I sat my family down and finally what looked like a manager came out of the back, followed five minutes later by two waitresses. After another 15 minutes, the waitress strolled over for the drink order. Not surprised that she never listened to what we actually ordered. My husband and I had to house salad switch came, no kidding, about 5 minutes before our actual food. We never received some of the things that we ordered. When ordering the chicken macaroni for one of the kiddos, and pointing to the picture none the less stating please bring the one right here in the picture as is, the boxed nasty Kraft mac and cheese was brought out. I don't know what is wrong with this place, however for only 5 people being in the entire restaurant, excuse me 7 counting the ladies at the next table they couldn't get anything right. My husband ordered a simple Coke which was never refilled. And I'm not even going to go into the attitude from the waitress that made us feel like we were disturbing her time. Service was very good. Once the "newness" of the place died down things got better. I and my wife had a 2 for 25 deal. I had the 7oz sirloin, med rare. When my steak was delivered it was very rare, so rare a skilled veterinarian could have brought it back to life. Sent it back and it came back more cooked but like it was nuked, and the way the steak tasted it tasted as if it was nuked then thrown onto the grill to give it grill marks. My wife got the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp, both chicken and shrimp were cooked properly and all of our side orders were pretty good. I stopped at the his place while driving from Nor Cal to So Cal because we don't have an Applebee's where I live. This Applebee's looks new. It was clean and taken care of except for the fact that there was no soap in the ladies room. Both pumps were empty. I mentioned it to one of the employees because she happened to be entering the ladies room as I was leaving it. She told me she knew and pointed to this soap dispenser that was lying on the counter and told me I had to use that one. I had tried that one too and it was difficult to hold and pump. I always have a positive experience when I eat at Applebee's in Atwater. I really enjoy their Happy Hour drinks and appetizers. The boneless wings, double crunch bone-in wings, and the Wonton Tacos are delicious. We always order our wings naked, with sauce on the side. The Pub Pretzels are also yummy. Our order was placed at 9:06 and we didn't receive our food until 9:46. To our surprise our food was cold and the burger was well-don. Completely disappointed. Plus the music choice that was playing was extremely loud and distasteful. Most of all the songs played referred to smoking weed, popping Molly's, getting at hoes and being a boss bitch. We don't eat here very often. Usually give it a year and try it again with the same disappointment. Order car side to go, "order will be ready at 6:22". Got here at 6:20 and the food just came out at 6:52. There are some things that are out of your control but they have the ability to update through text messages. I've been their a handful of times and everytime they bug me about that darn survey! One of the waitresses there even stands next to you to make sure you give her 5 stars! My friends and I came as a party of 12 at 10pm. As soon as we were seated, the service was horrible . We waited over two hours to be served our food and weren't checked on. Three larger parties came in after us and were served, and billed all before us. At some point I thought it was because these groups were treated with a priority because of their suit and tie. I felt discriminated against.
