We stopped by on a Tuesday evening for a quick drink and dinner. Not too busy. Served promptly and pleasantly. Lots of TV's in bar and seating area playing local and various games, etc. We tried the 2 for $25 and upgraded it to the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. It was delicious. Waitress rang us in 2 cocktails before happy hour ended and said she would take off the second if we didn't order it but this way we could get both on the discount if we did. Not busy on a week night. Service was incredibly SLOW and we were seated at the bar. Took over 40 minutes for entrées to come out and we didn't even order an appetizer. My meal was ridiculous. Again everything was excellent. The manager visited our table. Our server told us how much she liked the wonton tacos appetizer so we tried them...our new favorite app from Applebees. Our server was very friendly and fun. The baby backs were fall off the bone tender and tasty. The bourbon street steak was delicious as always. Next visit I'm going to try the New Grilled Cheese Burger. I haven't changed my opinion...5 stars. read more

OMG - have not been here for a long time - and our last visit confirmed it - walked in yesterday at 6pm - Waited for over 10 minutes- no one at the front to seat us! Looked like several diners were waiting for food -- so we left. People outside were complaining about the service --- too bad -- used to be an ok place to go. read more

Came on a Friday night so a longer wait was expected. Our appetizers took around 45mins to get to us, which our food was only a few minutes behind. When our food finally came, it was awful. The rice that came with the fiesta lime chicken was rock hard and dry. The chicken was barely warm and soupy. The service was terrible and so was the food. read more

Website said open until midnight. Sign on actual restaurant said open until midnight or later. Arrived at 10:39PM. Patrons inside restaurant. Door was locked. Called and no one answered the phone. Tried to order carside to go and found that I guess they now close at 11pm. Edit: came back next day. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. I've been seeing a lot of T.V. ads for Applebee's lately and the commercials made me realize I hadn't had Applebee's in quite some time and the new shrimp and chicken looked spectacular. Long time customer. While their current advertising is aimed at having their "regulars" come back in, their actions are anything but. Multiple people walked out while awaiting some kind (any kind) of hostess greeting. Nobody at the hostess counter. And as we were ready to leave, the server, and the manager, refused to allow a to-go-cup of Sangria, even tho Ohio still permits this as it did during high-Covid times. Out of North Olmsted, Fairview, and Westlake, I choose Avon Applebees. I love love love the staff here, super friendly and always willing to go out of their way for a customer. Food is always good, portions are big, and it comes in a timely manner. Out of the numerous times I've been to this location, I have never had to wait, which is a plus. I have also done carside to go once, which was OK, I had to wait a little longer than planned, but still it was worth waiting, because the veggie patch pizza is awesome :) read more

Had dinner at this location last night. They were out of 3 of the 4 IPAs on the menu. We weren't told until after waiting 10-15 minutes. It was not crowded whatsoever so there was no reason for such a delay. The reindeer punch I got instead tasted like there was no alcohol in it whatsoever and only contained juice. Both entrees were subpar from previous experiences at other Applebee's. We ordered the whiskey burger and three cheese chicken penne. The only pleasant thing was the boneless wings we ordered as part of the 2 for $27 (which used to be 2 for $20). Overall would not recommend. Just got back from Applebee's and I am happy to report that my tummy is happily filled to the rim with veggies, buns, cheeses, and potatoes. I had a veggie burger. Delicious. Quick service. Service was horrible. Took 5 mins to before a server showed up. Didn't suggest drinks-apps-food as should have. No specials discussed until after I asked. Ordered two orders of pretzel app, two orders of wings, nachos and a wrap. Brought one order of pretzels out. She forgot the mustard and gave us blue cheese instead, what? Rest of food came out 5 mins after. Had to ask for silverware and plates for all apps. Food is so-so at best. Typical chain food, not horrible but nothing to write home about. Side note- I worked at An Applebee's as one of my first jobs (over 20yr-yes I am old lol). I can't imagine that the training and expectations have changed how to take care of a customer. My wife and I went here for lunch yesterday. Less than half full at 12:45pm. The hostess was AWOL but one of the servers got us a booth. We got the '2 for $22' deal which is always what I end up getting at Applebee's. Wife only likes the spinach and artichoke appetizer. Large, tasty portions on the chicken entrees. Our server was really on the ball, this can vary at this location. Tried the $1 Zombie drink special, it's not the greatest but for the price what can you lose. read more

Great service for lunch time! Our server/ bartender Lauren was amazing! Drinks were refilled and we didn't have to wait for anything! Upside to the drinks, they switched to glasses! I'm not a plastic lover, and I know that's petty. But it's something I think is great. We had the wonton tacos and Spinach dip app. Both were delicious, but I recommend the wonton tacos. I tried the new crispy chicken cornbread salad, it has a light dressing drizzle and was DELICIOUS! Not swimming in dressing, everything was portioned properly, and the salad was very filling! I'm definitely coming up more often and trying this summer menu! read more

Nothing is open past 10pm on weekday so I chose Applebee's. After trying to finish my food, I wondered what the heck was I thinking. I was better off attempting to cook at home. The server was nice but it took a long time to get anything. I asked for lemons 3 times, I asked 2 times for napkins. The server would just disappear. Also it was a super slow night. My party ordered a variety of apps and dinners all was bad. I ordered the beef brisket tacos and they were so soggy. There was more sauce then meat. I always finish my food and I just couldn't this time. The microwaved food was gross, the plates were dirty, and the service was worse. If it was up to me I would keep my eating out away from chains. But with the fam and they picked this place the other day. Service was bad. Real bad. They have these new computers that you order apps and drinks and play games on. The whole process was more of a pain than anything and somehow my son charged our table $2 for some game. Then It took 15 minutes to confirm I paid for our bill on the thing. I didn't even bother disputing the $2 game charge. Avoid chains! read more

I have went to this Applebee's 2 times the food is ok, but the first time I went I got very sick after eating the food, I thought it was just the food that I ordered, so I ordered something different the second time and got sick again. Obviously the kitchen is not properly sanitized every day. So if you don't what food poisoning don't go to the Avon OH Applebee's. read more

We've been to this location several times and always had a good meal. However, last Sunday to went to celebrate my daughters engagement and was extremely disappointed. Out of 6 meals, only one was good. We had problems with small portions of potatoes and mushrooms, dry entrees and soggy sandwiches. Sorry we picked this restaurant for our celebration. read more

My order was ready quickly and it was hot. But it didn't look very appetizing. It was the same size as a $1.79 taco. So what do you get for an extra $2.80?...a tasteless soft shell. After tasting the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, it was pretty bad. It had no cheese in between the shells. And the outer shell is actually terrible in both taste and texture. Not sure why this item is so popular. It's way overpriced for the volume of food you get. For $1.10 more, I could've gotten a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, a regular taco, cinnamon twists, and a drink. Don't ever buy the Cheesey Gordita Crunch alone - it's a complete rip off. I liked the retired chicken Quesarito. I also like the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito ($2.00), which has way more flavor, a higher volume, more toppings, and costs $2.59 less than the Cheesy Gordita Crunch! What I usually do is customize the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito via the app by adding rice, black beans, and pico de gallo. That adds to the price, but it still costs less than the overpriced Cheesey Gordita Crunch. Customizing my toppings adds to the weight and taste, making the burrito more satisfying. I'm done with trying the gimics on the menu. Especially when they're $4.59, but basically just a taco.
