My daughter's first trip to Applebee's. Our waiter, William, was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant from the moment we sat down. He somehow always appeared right before we needed something. That's a talent. The atmosphere was another pleasant surprise. Cozy, family-friendly, and comfortable. Even with the World Cup on, it never felt loud or rowdy. We could actually enjoy our dinner and conversation. Here's what we ordered: - Hot Tea - $2.99 - 8 oz. Top Sirloin (rare) with broccoli and green beans - $20.99 - Blackened Cajun Salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli - $22.29 Everything was cooked exactly as ordered. The steak was perfectly rare, the salmon was flavorful, the vegetables were fresh, and the portions were generous. Then came the biggest plot twist. Two delicious entrées, a hot tea, a water, excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and we still walked out spending just $61.50 including a 20% tip. In this economy?! Can't ask for more. Actually I can. :P Applebee's, William, and the chef that seasoned that steak... thank you. You made my daughter's first Applebee's visit a great one. We'll definitely be back.

Keep in mind I ordered with no ice and put ice in from the firdt drink and it's barely at the halfway point

They get a one star for giving me literally a quarter of my drink when I asked for no ice. Will literally never come back. Service was cool and nothing was dirty but the fact they gave me half a drink without telling me thats how it would be plus even doing it both are no returns for me. But if you don't orders things like lemonade its a good time

Manager Who didn't bother to interview me

I had a very disappointing experience here today. I was scheduled for a job interview at 4:20 PM and even called earlier in the day to confirm. I spoke directly with Susan Sanchez, the manager, and received verbal confirmation that the interview was still scheduled. I arrived about 10 minutes early and let the host know I was there for an interview. After waiting about 20 minutes, no manager came out to greet me, acknowledge me, or provide any kind of update, so I eventually decided to dine at the restaurant instead. Once I realized who Susan Sanchez was, I noticed her looking in my direction several times, but she never approached me to apologize, explain what happened, or offer to reschedule the interview. From what I observed, she seemed more focused on tending to her son and making sure his food was brought out. I completely respect taking care of your family, but a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Even a brief apology or letting me know the interview needed to be rescheduled would have shown basic courtesy and professionalism. I do want to recognize Lorena, the evening manager. Throughout the evening, she was making her rounds and eventually approached my table. I explained what had happened, and she was very apologetic and understanding about the situation. The hostess, Ariel, was also extremely kind and even brought me a small dessert to cheer me up, which I genuinely appreciated. Their kindness was a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience and showed the type of customer service and professionalism I would have expected from the beginning. I understand that restaurants get busy and schedules can change, but basic communication and respect go a long way. I made the effort to confirm the interview, arrive early, and be available at the scheduled time. To not even be acknowledged by the manager who confirmed my interview was extremely unprofessional and left a very poor impression of the management. My food was okay despite everything that happened

I recommend Applebee's (Azusa). The food is fresh, cooked well, and affordable. Currently, the main deal is the "2 for $25." That's one appetizer and two full entrees for $25. At that moment, I realized that I'd be bringing a lot of leftovers home. No regrets! I selected the Crunchy Onion Rings, Chicken Parmesan Fettuccini, and 8oz USDA Select Top Sirloin ($5.50 upgrade). The Parmesan Fettuccini came with a breadstick and fried chicken filet. The Sirloin came with two sides. I selected mashed potatoes and "four-cheese mac & cheese with applewood-smoked bacon." The mac & cheese was a $1.99 upgrade. In total, the base cost is $32.49 for this feast. It's a lot of food! I arrived at Applebee's (Azusa) on Thursday (around 7:25PM). Parking is plentiful. This location is located in the plaza across Azusa Pacific University. I waited a few short minutes before being sat down. My server (receipt said Alejandra) is professional but unmemorable. She spoke very little, and she vanished a lot. However, it's impressive how Alejandra memorized my order instead of jotting it down. As mentioned, I ordered the "2 for $25" deal with several upgrades. I selected the Crunchy Onion Rings, Chicken Parmesan Fettuccini, and 8oz USDA Select Top Sirloin (Medium Rare). The Crunchy Onion Rings arrived within 13 minutes and 33 seconds. The Chicken Parmesan Fettuccini and 8oz USDA Select Top Sirloin both arrived in 29 minutes and 36 seconds. The food's pace felt quick. Concerning the food, it tasted absolutely delicious! The food arrived beautifully plated, hot & fresh, and well-cooked. The chefs are exceedingly talented for an Applebee's. The Crunchy Onion Rings arrived hot, crisp, and freshly made. Its light crust was buttery and crackly. When dipped into its smoky and savory bbq sauce, its flavor blossoms. The Chicken Parmesan Fettuccini is also presented well while containing good flavors. Although the noodles felt a little mushy, there's a pleasant gentle cheese aftertaste. Its sauce is creamy and cheesy. Unfortunately, its fried chicken is a little chewy and dry. Most surprisingly, its breadstick tasted phenomenal. That simple breadstick had a light buttery crunch while keeping its insides very fluffy. The 8oz USDA Select Top Sirloin is the showstopper. My medium rare steak arrived juicy, buttery, peppery, and generously seasoning. For a USDA Select Top Sirloin cut, this slice of meat is a good quality. My knife easily sliced through, and its meat had a firm but tender bite. Next, the mashed potatoes tasted hot, buttery, hearty, and fresh. Absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, the "four-cheese mac & cheese with applewood-smoked bacon" was my least favorite. This macaroni had a strong "fast food" bacon bits flavor; its pasta was mushy; and its cheese tasted dry. Regarding ambiance, Applebee's (Azusa) is clean, well-ventilated, spacious, and well-decorated. The tables are smooth and shiny. The wall artwork are also very eye-catching as it uses photos from the Azusa community (ex: Azusa Drive-In Theater; Azusa Pacific Athletes). This location also has many flat screen TVs playing football and baseball games. On its speakers, upbeat music also plays in the background. Overall, Applebee's (Azusa) serves delicious food at very affordable prices. It's also mind boggling how such an innocuous business offers such sumptuous steaks. I left full with a lot to-go boxes. If nearby, I happily recommend. 4.8 out of 5

Whenever someone mentions Applebees we all think it's okay food. This experience really surprised me on how they are back with quality food. Plenty of parking in plaza with grocery outlet. I was greeted multiple times. Waitress was super attentive and friendly. Manager (male) checked in on us a few times. I had the steak and green beans which I would never order unless I'm at a steakhouse but it was sooo good (medium rare) with quality. Price was amazing, I think 2 of us was around $33. Hats off to Applebee's making a comeback. I am coming back.

The food and service was great. However, I came with my mother and her server. Was chit-chatting a little bit too much next to us and we waited for water for a while like a while. It kind of felt ignored at first but it is what it is. I fell back interrupting her conversation with love as she was talking to but afterwards the service was wonderful. The food was delicious. I do recommend the two for 25 deal. They offer a lot of varieties and it was delicious and very affordable. The only thing it doesn't come with a drink.

Parking is ample since they share a lot with the mall. Easily accessible on the corner. Not every story in a chain is the same, And with the decor fairly standard This is a very good Applebee's. We had lunch before our date night, the service was quick and friendly. Food was excellent, arrived quickly and hot, and was reasonably priced. Well recommended, we will return

When we got there it was kinda busy but I asked for a booth and they did sit us in one. We were greeted by our server William B who I can say is one of the nicest servers we've come across. He was very polite and patient. Our food came out pretty quickly and it was amazing. I love the rice from there and the ribs are just the best at that price. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and I could see the manager coming out to clean plates off the table as well. Will definitely be coming back

We started with guacamole and chips and fish tacos, then shared a big platter with carne asada, grilled chicken, cheese, nopales, grilled cebollitas and more, along with rice and beans. There was plenty of food to share, everything came out beautifully presented, and everything we tried was delicious. We finished with the churros, which were also really good. The drinks were very well made and actually nice and strong! I appreciate that because so many places serve drinks that taste watered down, and that definitely wasn't our experience here. The restaurant itself is really cute and has some great signs and backgrounds for pictures. We got some really nice group photos for our social media, and one of the employees even volunteered to take a picture for us so we could all be in it, which was really sweet. Even the girls' restroom was super cute and nicely decorated. You can tell they put thought into the little details throughout the place. Our waitress, Marissa, was wonderful from beginning to end. She was sweet, attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. The other employees we interacted with were also very friendly and helpful. I'm really happy our first experience here was such a good one. I would definitely come back for another girls' night, but I could also see myself coming back with my husband and kids for a family dinner. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Host and waitress were really friendly. We ordered the calamari, molcajete with a Jamaica. Calamari: 5/5 This appetizer was a great way to start our celebration. It was crispy enough to keep you wanting more. The flavor wasn't too fishy and it was accompanied by some tasty dipping sauces. Would definitely order again. Molcajete: 4/5 A favorite at our table that was filled with so many protein options and a nice salsa to pair with. We loved the chicken, chorizo, and the queso!! The only reason it got a 4/5 was because the steak was waaaay too salty which made it hard to enjoy. The shrimp was a nice touch, also not too fishy and the bacon paired nicely. You can definitely taste a variety of flavors and it's also a big enough portion to share! Comes with beans and rice which we ended up splitting with our kiddos. Jamaica: 5/5 We loved the Jamaica here and it tastes very traditional. It doesn't taste like it's made from powder and comes in a huge glass cup. Not too sweet and the bold flavor of the hibiscus makes it hard to stop drinking! Loved it. Overall, a great place to dine in for celebrations or just for a nice dinner. Would definitely recommend if you're nearby. I hope to come back soon.

Amazing…read morebeers, delicious food, a cool hybrid restaurant setup, attentive staff with cool uniforms. The place was the sh*t. I've come here several times over the past couple years and it's more and more dead at the restaurant every time. The waitresses are absolutely dreadful. Every request is forgotten or takes 20 mins to arrive at the table. When we arrived we waited 20 mins for a waitress. We asked for some sauce, they forgot. We ordered a pizza, which was delivered to the wrong table. When we wanted to leave, the check took 20 mins as well. Now I have a crying baby and I'm waiting for them to try and split the check two ways and I eventually give up knowing that the task is too much for them to handle and just pay it all on one card. We had to track down the waitresses multiple times. It's like they have NO ability to anticipate the needs of their customers. "They ordered, pizza, maybe I should bring some plates". Nope! "They'll probably want their sauce before the food item is ICE COLD". Nope! Anytime we went into the restaurant the girls were on their phones. There were five tables in the restaurant tonight so there really was no excuse. I think this will be the last time I ever go to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the reputation of the old Congregation Ale House kept me coming back even when time after time, the service was abysmal, however, now that Congregation's former glory is thoroughly tarnished I can honestly say that I will not be coming back and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Quality like this cannot be tolerated. Travis, the former owner, would be ashamed of this fall from grace. R.I.P. Congregation Ale House

Jorge came outside multiple times, clearly saw how many people were waiting, and even recorded the crowd on his phone three different times for social media. Knowing the capacity of the restaurant, he could have easily informed everyone that the remaining people in line would likely not get in. Instead, we waited over three hours with no communication. While we were waiting, I repeatedly watched people call Jorge. He would come outside, greet them, and bring them straight inside. I personally saw this happen at least six different times. When it was finally our turn to speak with the host, we were told there were no seats left, that we would have to stand, and that we wouldn't even be able to order food. I confronted Jorge about letting those other groups in ahead of everyone else. His response was that he knew them personally and that they were friends of the restaurant owners. That explanation only made the situation worse. My wife had just finished a 14-hour hospital shift, and we came here hoping to enjoy the game together. Instead, we spent three hours waiting only to be treated as though our time didn't matter. What was most shocking was Jorge's attitude. He literally told me, "They won't do anything to me if you post this. I'm friends with the owner." If that's the mindset of management, it's no surprise customers are treated this way. It truly felt like only friends and family received special treatment while everyone else was left waiting without honesty or respect. I have no issue waiting when things are busy, but I do expect transparency, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed none of those qualities.

As I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed they had an outdoor seating area, which is really nice on hot days. It looked like a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening. When I went inside, I immediately liked the camping and outdoor vibes. The whole place has that rustic, lodge-style feel that makes it stand out. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.

Each one of them responds the same way, ill notify your server. I don't really blame the girl though, they're pretty short staff. She's all over the place, she probably just forgot about it or didn't realize how much time was passing by. I mean, what can she do at the end of the day. It would've been nice if one of the other four people would've taken our order though. They're not just helping out as the customers, but they're also helping out there staff as well. I got to the point where we were debating about leaving, but we had already ordered our drinks. Aside from that the vibe is pretty cool. I really enjoy the music they have been playing. They also have a live band. It's good for parties and groups. The staff is friendly, they're nice The drinks and the food are very good. Unfortunately, the wings were not very hot when they came out. We both think the wings were probably done first, and just sitting there for a little while while the rest of the food was being made. Because we were able to very easily pick up our wings and eat them no problem. They were barely warm. I'm not sure if I would be back again just because they seem so short staffed and they don't seem like they communicate very well with each other. But I did enjoy the overall experience.

If bartending were an Olympic sport, Gen would already have her gold medal mounted above the bar…read more She doesn't just pour drinks -- she orchestrates experiences. Gen has that rare gift of being everywhere at once: your glass never empties, but somehow she also has time to crack a joke, swap a story, and make you feel like you're the only person in the room. Her style? Effortlessly cool. The kind where you wonder if she was born behind a barstool with a cocktail shaker in her hand. Smooth, attentive, and utterly unflappable, she manages the chaos of a busy bar with the calm of a Zen master and the charm of your funniest friend. They just don't teach service like this anymore -- it's an art form. And Gen? She's Picasso with a pour spout. If The Wheel Bar has a secret ingredient, it's Gen. Long may her brand of bar wizardry live on.

This is disturbing considering our matches ended at 11:30pm. That's also an issue, bc there is one table, we can only play one match at a time, so now we here forever. There is nothing special or significant about this bar. The reason I gave 1 star was the bathroom. I kid you not, there was a fucking hole in the woman's bathroom window! The screen was destroyed, literally anyone can stick their face in and watch you pee. This is really unsafe and so fucked up.

Stopped in a couple of times since our first visit. Once again, Debbie was bartending, and she…read morecouldn't have taken better care of us. It's a "dive bar", but clean and well run by the staff. The place is large, well-lit, has an e-jukebox, 3 pool tables, dart board(s), board games, and many TVs. Plenty of beers on-tap or in bottles, and you can get shots and simple cocktails, but they don't have the ingredients to make classics cocktails like an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. No food is served, but they do sell bags of Twisted Pig pretzels ($4), which are available in spicy, medium, and original flavors. They're some of the best bagged pretzels we've ever had. Clancy's is a fun neighborhood bar with friendly service, good drinks, and lots of space to gather and hang out with friends or make new ones. Unfortunately, we heard rumors that it may be being sold, and that the theme/vibe may change. Stay tuned.
