It's typically my go to place for a burger... For being a fast food type place the food is of good quality. For the price, the burgers are on the small side. I went in yesterday for lunch and ordered the Natural burger and a side of zucchini. The cost was shy of $25. Not a big deal since the quality of the food is good. The major turn off was when I asked for a BBQ sauce, the counter girl reached into my food bag a grabbed one of the two ranch dressing to swap it with bbq one. I asked why she was doing that and said that I was already getting the two "courtesy" ranch dressing. I told that they were not a courtesy but as part of the zucchini order... I told her to leave ranch dressing and forget it.. She made the comment.. "that's what they want me to say". I didn't feel like arguing with her so we just left. Definitely one of my favorite fast food places to eat at. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. One must item from here is the fries. They are always fresh and perfectly crispy making it easy to eat the whole bag. Burgers are also really good, but my favorite thing to eat here besides the salads. My favorite one is the BBQ chicken ranch salad. Crispy onion rings, chicken, tomato, bacon, cheese, and a hard boiled egg paired with bbq sauce and ranch makes it a great summer salad option. Portion size is enough to get 2 meals out of it. The southwest chicken salad is also another great summer salad option. I use to go to this place a few times a week due to it being close to my former place of employment. The last time being 2018 or so. It was always packed with people and the food was pretty good. Prices were higher than other places but worth it. I haven't been back since but did the other day due to business in the area. Wow, what a difference. Place is completely dead (it was a Friday around noon) and use to no seats at this time back then. I ordered their signature burger which I thought I saw was $12. I usually come to this location because it's a little closer than other Farmer Boys near me. However, today will probably be the last time I come here . I came through the drive thru today and immediately recognized the lady working the front , Maria. Shes so unwelcoming and has no customer service whatsoever. It's like every time you ask for something it's an inconvenience for her . I asked for 2 sides of ranch multiple times and to no surprise when I opened my food, she only put one. This is the second time I've interacted with her, the previous time I also asked for 2 sides of ranch MULTIPLE TIMES and she only put one. It's my fault for not checking the first time but this time , it wasn't even worth the back and forth. It's not that hard , give me the ranch or tell me if I need to pay extra for more than 1. Approximately 1455 hours today I ordered 2x breakfast burritos and a side of fries. I pull up to the window and waited for my order to finish cooking. While I was waiting (in the drive thru) I was looking forward toward the traffic in the street. When suddenly I heard someone opposite side of the drive thru window sneeze. I look over to my left and see a clerk, (a plus sized FH, adult wearing a grey t-shirt) who's name tag I couldn't see, had her back toward the drive thru window. She picked up a plastic cup to prepare and placed it on the counter next to/not far from the drive thru register. Then grabbed an ice scooper with her right hand and filled the cup with ice. I saw her take her right for-arm/wrist and wipe her nose. She then, wiped her nose with her left hand. After that, she wiped her nose again with her left hand, then looked at it! Then started explaining to Daniella, (working the drive thru register at the time, wearing glasses), how sick/congested she was. She picked up the cup with her right hand and walked over to the front counter, placed the cup down, and grabbed a 1x gallon carton of milk out of the refrigerator (with her left hand). She took her right hand and unscrewed the milk carton top and poured the liquid in the cup. When she put the milk back in the refrigerator she looked over at the drive thru window. She never excused herself from the kitchen, nor did she ever sanitized herself! She did a double take when she looked over and saw that I was watching her the whole time! I didn't take my eyes off of her since wiping her nose. Yuuuck! It confirmed, she was the one who made that sound that got my attention. Fellow customers, this lady then walked out of view to come back to the front counter wiping her hands as if she had just sanitized them. WOW! After I got my food, even the little young lady (Daniella) who gave me my food (looking like a manager), noticed I was looking at her co-worker who was preparing that cup. I could have gone inside and made it very uncomfortable had I exposed my uniform. If I'm in the area again and happen to see the manager. I will follow up this incident with him/her. But Damn, sneezing, with no mask on over a cup you' re preparing for a customer? And to act as if cameras are not inside? Makes me wonder, if this is the person conduct even at home. It's unacceptable and unprofessional. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE FOR FOOD! P.S..... Daniella, if you OR the lady in question happen to read this!? Personally, I've seen so many Farmer Boys commercials on television, I've joined the VIP club and recently received several coupons in the mail, saving tens of dollars so far. I went into the establishment to place an order during Happy Hour and was basically ignored by the worker. Another worker came up to the front and once she saw me, said that "she would be with me in a moment." THAT, is the reaction that I'm looking for. She rung me up and even helped explain one of the coupons I had in my app. Great deal, as one Farmer Boys location told me that that certain coupon could not be used during Happy Hour, but it turns out that one could. I ordered 2x 4-pc chicken strips with honey mustard. The order came out hot and ready! Waited a few minutes, of course, but no complaints here because they prepare the food-to-order, instead of having it prepared and sitting under heat lamps. The first worker gave me my order but only gave me one sauce container. For an order with 2 separate 4-pc chicken strips... one would expect 2 separate sauce containers so I had to ask for a second one. No "thank you" or etc. for my visit. Food was great, service was mixed. There's plenty of parking around the restaurant, but an 18-wheeler and another delivery truck did take a few of the parking spots. I usually get their salads to go because they keep well, as I'm usually there earlier buying for lunch before work. I got the Sourdough Chicken Avocado Sandwich and made it a combo with Fresh Fruit & an Ice Tea. *Ice Tea: definitely brewed here... more like over brewed. It was cloudy & had a slightly burnt/over brewed taste. My family brews ice tea at home. If you've ever made "sun tea", where you brew ice tea by putting tea bags in a big jar with a lid & setting outside in the sun to steep. Like THAT... but they forgot to take the tea bags out. I didn't drink it. Waste of money. *Fresh Fruit: I took a picture of the fruit on the corporate website & of what was given to me in my order. The fresh fruit that comes in the order are orange wedges, apple slices and grapes. "Fresh", apparently, is a subjective word. The grapes were soft/over ripe or maybe old. Avocado was fresh, because with the heat of the sandwich and fresh avocados turn black as mine did. Still tasted the same. Don't judge. How much was this delicious experience you ask... $14 98!!! Yeeeah... not gonna order sandwiches for awhile or maybe ever... sheesh!!! Oh and the fresh fruit side would have cost me $4.99, if I didn't make it a combo!!! I personally like this location on Arrow hwy. The staff is always nice and they are following all social distance guidelines. The dining area and restrooms are closed during covid-19 but you can still order your meal inside, it's always clean and fresh inside. They have some good deals if you have coupons. I used the $3 off coupon when you spend $16 today which was nice since the meals are pricey but you get what you pay for. I really like the Cobb salad, it's big enough for me to share and they make them fresh, not prepackaged. I always ask for the bacon on the side instead of on top. Today I also got the 3 fish and fry lunch. They offer a 4 piece larger dinner option as well. The fish are crispy on the outside and flakey on the inside and really big. Their 4 piece fried zucchini is huge! It looks like a full zucchini cut into fourths. I ordered a chicken club combo with side and drink for lunch a couple of months ago and was full from just from eating the zucchini side. I ended up taking the chicken club to-go with me and ate it as an early dinner later that night. Not a bad deal for food that's enough for two meals! Back when they had their full line-up of soup bowls, I used to come to Farmer Boys in general for their variety of soups in a bread bowl - clam chowder or beef gumbo were my favorites. Our first time to Farmer Boys. We have been wanting to try but always hesitant just because there's something about it that doesn't draw us in. Maybe because they always look dark and dead. We didn't know what to expect and reviews are so hateful on yelp but we factored in that people just hate on fast food type chains like McDonalds, Carls Jr, Jack in the Box, etc. Everyone always talks so much shit, yet they keep going back. Anyway, first impressions were good. It was pretty quiet as we visited on a Sunday around 4pm. Very clean and well taken care of. Feels like a nice relaxing place to hang out and eat. They have cushioned chairs. Nice patio chairs and tables outside for outdoor dining. Customer service was fine, unlike most reviews. We were greeted promptly upon entering and given time to look over the menu. The cashier wasn't stellar but she wasn't rude or condescending in any way. Easily placed our orders and waited at our table for our food. They bring the food to you which is nice. Food was very hot and freshly made. Fat was still dripping from the burger patties. Fried zucchini and french fries were piping hot. We ordered a double cheeseburger, cheeseburger, fries, and fried zucchini. The cashier asked if I wanted to swap my fries for something else but I believe it was an additional $1.xx to do so, so I stuck with fries. Fries were delicious! Extra crispy and crunchy! I'm a fan of well done fries and this fit the bill perfectly. Fried zucchini are big fat sticks. We're not a fan of these as we like the small fried zucchini sticks like fries. They weren't crispy enough for us and the fried batter to zucchini ratio is off. You get really big bites of mushy zucchini. However, they are cooked better than most places if you're into this style of fried zucchini. The burgers were pretty good. Very big but mostly because the bun is bigger than it needs to be. Tastes fresh. Reminds us of frozen patties from the market and grilling those at home. Not the greatest, but better than McDonalds patties. Everything was very filling. A little pricey but you're getting fresher food than McDonalds. Overall, we think it's a cross between a Tops/Jim's Burgers type of place and Carls Jr/Jack in the Box.
