Visited for the first time from out of town. As a big Dodgers fan I have heard about Shakeys as a big sponsor. We tried the buffet and it was a little bit of a mixed bag. Salad bar was very basic. Fried chicken was very good. Pasta was average. The pizza was very good with a good selection. In the future I would probably stick to ordering a full pizza and skip the buffet. Impressed, great food, EXCELLENT service! Went for lunch, very busy, worried service would be rushed, however, they were amazing. David, the cashier was friendly, Maria was fast and helpful, despite numerous customers. Kitchen staff were always busy refilling, checking on food . I just want to say the food is good fresh and hot but I was very disappointed today on July 31 the hours between 12pm -12:30 pm the. I brought a large group of kids to celebrate their team competition in science. It was 14 kids that our group was going to celebrate. We had the buffet lunch which was really good. The cashier was friendly and helpful. Families ended up showing up as well (we didn't plan for it) and the hostess (? Not sure the position, she was clearing tables) seemed annoyed that those families had taken tables not near our party. She brought up that I mentioned only 16 total (it was two coaches plus the 14 team members) I informed her we didn't include or invite families only the team. Shakey's Pizza Parlor is the place. A staple in Southern California for years. That thin crust pizza with the great fresh toppings. Fresh fried chicken comes out piping hot. And the potato mojos. Nothing like them. Plenty of seating area if you're dining in. Or great for pick up and take home. Great place to watch sports games and have parties. Fun zone for the kids. Service is great. It has its peak busy hours like any other restaurant. So you could experience a line to order sometimes. So if in the Covina area come get yourself a dose of PCM. read more

If you think Shakey's Pizza is cheap, think again. We ordered 3 pizzas, the all-you-can-eat salad, 10 pieces of chicken, and mojo fries, and it came out to about $120. For that price, the food was very mid and not worth it. The cleanliness was disappointing there was trash under the tables and the sofas were stained. We had no choice but to sit with trash under our table because it was the same everywhere. Overall, the price does not match the quality or the condition of the place. read more

Wow I don't think I've been or seen a Shakeys pizza in the south Orange County area in a while. So much so that I had to stop here in Azusa to give this place a try to re-live some old childhood memories. This is a large and nice location with lots of tables and booth seating, along with a play area with games for kids. I got the Shakeys Special pizza just because I wanted something that is known by them. It had all the stuff I liked from pepperoni, sausage, beef, mushrooms and olives. Along with it I tried their Mojo Potatoes and an Antipasto Salad to go along with the pizza. Once you pay the food it brought to your table when ready. The pizza was good, and the crust (being regular crust) was nice and crisp. It went well with the antipasto salad which has a little bit of everything from lettuce, cheese, peppercinis, salami, and you get to chose you dressing. The mojo fries were exactly what you'd expect but I still had to try it. Overall, it was a good pizza parlor even though it has a little more difference impact now to me as an adult. read more

The boy at the front was Isaac.. He was an efficient cashier. Picked up our order and we sat down 40 minutes later we had no food.. My husband to inquire... about our food and they said it's coming out... it came out the first pizza was so burnt. I don't know if you've been telling the picture but the mushrooms were like potato chips... I sent back the chicken. Well I should've sent it all back, but I only sent back the breast because it looks like it has been fried four times. It was very dark.... the Mojo's appeared to be OK but they were not. They were in edible, but I did not want to complain. I just wanted to leave then a young man shows up with another Pizza to replace the first Pizza and that pizza was not burnt and it was what we ordered. I think they were getting a clue about the food they served us.... I am not sure if it is your practice to reheat the chicken several times and the Mojos several times to the point where you can't bite them, but in my opinion, I feel like I am owed chicken and mojo's. Never have I had an awful experience at Shakey's never... funny thing is I always go to different cities. I've never been one close to my hometown and I came in here and I probably won't be back to this restaurant.... as I said, the staff was nice enough. They replaced the one piece of chicken I sent back. I know they know they gave me four times over refried mojo's but as I said, I don't know if that's your practice very very, very, very disappointed in the shaky that is closest to where I live..... and again, the staff was nice read more

Went there for lunch buffet which was 14.99 plus tax. They had wall to wall TVs to watch sports. They had variety of food and it was freshly prepared and warm. They keep on bringing more food and trays were never empty. I loved their marshmallow pizza for desert, crispy mojo potatoes and chicken. First off, excellent customer service! The parlor was very clean and well taken care of. The staff was super attentive, checking in to see if we needed anything, but not just the servers, even the manager Elvia and what I believe was the GM stopped by to make sure we were taken care of. It's been a while since I've been to Shakey's, but the food and chicken had that same great taste and same great feeling I remember. They've even added some new items, which was a nice surprise. Overall, I was really happy I stopped by and got to enjoy Shakey's again after some time away. Definitely worth the visit! read more

I've been here twice in the last 8 months and the staff are amazing. They're kind and fast when it comes to keeping the tables clean ready for the next group. I was just there on Saturday for the buffet and they had the food coming out at a perfect pace. Keeping up with the demand of hungry people. This past Thursday my family and I decided to go to Shakey's to celebrate a recent victory. I want to acknowledge a young man named Angel that not only made sure my party received our food in a timely manner, he gave exceptional customer service. Most people in customer service you can tell that they are just trying to do their job and there's nothing wrong with that, however this gentleman made it look like it was second nature to him and I felt like he was truly happy to serve us. There was a young lady that was cleaning the restroom and unfortunately I was unable to get her name but she was very polite during the evening. Sunday night super was just ok.

Today started off good.. we were getting together a last minute minie party but eveywhere we called they would not take our last minute reservation.. UNTIL we called shakeys... young lady answered phone and said they had 2 fundraisers and a party going on but that she was going to check with her manager.. when manager Christina answres the call and she gladly said we were more then welcome to come and she will make sure we have tables reserved just made our day better.. We arrived and there were our tables.. Everyone was super nice and friendly.. Food was more then awsome and made us feel at home.. To top it all off we meet Brian Cook!!!! I'll admit it, Shakey's is my guilty pleasure. I generally try to eat healthy, lots of veggies, avoid red meat etc. etc. But there is something about unlimited pizza and mojo potatoes I just can't resist. If it's lunch time, you only want to spend about ten minute, but really want to get your glutton on, you just can't go wrong. You can even play hookey from work and see a movie, which is likely to happen once your caught up in the childhood nostalgia and all-around happiness of Shakey's. Just talking about it is making me hungry. I may need to make a Shakey's trip tonight. Not perfect for a date night, but oh well. I'll make it work. read more

Visited again the other day and I can't stop thinking about posting a review. It was super busy but I couldn't skip out on a pcm combo! The employees were amazing on Friday! I came in and was immediately greeted by the cashier despite them being busy they greeted me as soon as I walked in. I noticed there wasn't any seating available but just as I was ordering I noticed some people leaving and by the time I got my table number there was a nice young lady cleaning off the tables and offered me too sit as soon as it's ready. I had an excellent experience at Shakey's. The food was delicious, and the customer service was outstanding. One of the employees, Jazzyln, was particularly courteous and polite, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Both managers stopped by our table to check on us, and their professionalism and friendliness were greatly appreciated. The restaurant was very clean, especially the buffet area. While the salad bar appeared low at one point, it was promptly restocked and looked great afterward. Overall, Shakey's is a wonderful place for families, and I look forward to returning. read more

This place was good 3 years ago when I visited and it just got even better. No less than 3 employees greeted us when we walked into the place, our order was taken quickly and accurately, delivered to our table piping hot and they checked up on us several times to make sure we were taken care of. The food has always been good, but for a chain pizza joint they sure put a personal spin on things the day we visited. The restrooms are clean, the salad bar appears to be kept up and there's lots of parking in the shopping center. We'll see you again soon Shakey's Covina. read more

I've never "yelped" before but I had to this time, I see bad reviews on here for Shakeys and don't see why, I went in yesterday with my family and it was a nice slow evening for the employees. I only see the cashier and pizza boy working in the front but they are getting the job done, crazy part was when the pizza boy 'miguel' took us our order, I thought he only made them but he & most staff is also super nice and hard working, defiantly will keep coming back, keep up the good work guys! read more

We had such a great experience at Shakey's! The food was really good and exactly what we wanted. But the service is what really stood out. David who was working the registe was incredible. My child was throwing a bit of a fit, and David handled it with so much kindness and patience. He helped calm the situation and made us feel totally supported instead of stressed. I haven't been to Shakey's in years but tonight was great!!! Took me back to the little league after parties of 20 years ago when I was a kid.
