Just went to Applebees after haven't been in YEARS. In fact my last time going made not want to go again. But this last visit has definitely restored my faith in Applebees. The food was great (literally everything we ordered), drinks were great, and service was AMAZING. Our waitress was Chelsea. She was so sweet and she served us with such grace and patience. We had a large party of about 16 and everyone was happy with their food and service. Not one complaint. Not to mention the bathrooms were clean and so was the restaurant. Really well kept. Kudos to whoever is the manager. You can clearly tell there has been a change in management, for the better. read more

This visit to Applebees restored my faith in them. I used to eat the riblets faithfully. On this visit I tried the bourbon street chicken and it was great. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I hope they keep this on the menu or at least something similar. We went with my friend and her daughter she tried the bourbon street penne which I believe she enjoyed and it was a nice portion! The kids chicken Alfredo was surprisingly good and very well seasoned. The portion was great too my son was full. I also like that they give you the option of getting yogurt and fruit for a side. The service wasn't the best our server was all over the place. Our drinks sat at the bar for a while so I don't know if they ended up being watered down but I didn't really taste any liquor. I had not been to Applebees for a very long time, years in fact. I went to this Applebees and there was nothing really special about the food. I got their cajun chicken pasta, but it barely came with any sauce on the fettucine and when I asked for more sauce, my waiter told me they were gonna charge me an extra $3 for the sauce. My date and I also got some of their drink specials and each one tasted like watered down juice. The service was good as far as our waitress, but the food was disappointing as well as the drinks. read more

We are driving through to Texas and stopped in for lunch. We haven't eaten at an Applebees in awhile so we decided to give it a try. The hostess came right over and was very friendly. The server came right away and took the drink orders. My husband ordered unsweetened tea, no ice. I ordered it with a lot of ice. She only had a little bit of ice and the tea was hot so it melted down quickly. My husband's salad came with no dressing so he asked for some, as well as a cup of ice for me. The server brought out something for another table. No dressing for us. She brought out drinks to the table behind us. I told her that he still didn't have his dressing and couldn't eat. By this point my husband went to find someone to get his dressing. He found a manager and explained the situation. He reacted immediately and brought him the dressing and ice. As my husband was returning to the table ...with the dressing and cup of ice, he passed right by the server, who was completely oblivious apparently. She later came back with a plastic container of dressing. Never apologized for forgetting. Her sense of urgency was....what sense of urgency?? My husband got the Chicken Salad with grilled chicken instead of fried. I got the Southwest Chicken Bowl. Both were very good. One other thing to note- be careful when going to the restroom. The tile floor outside the kitchen is very slippery! A bright note about the server- even though her follow through was not good, she was very pleasant. read more

I went here last night after a work shift. I sat at the bar. I waited over 15 minutes before the bartender even acknowlegded me. I ordered a water. It took the bartender 10 minutes to even get me a water. I ordered an appetizer which took more than a half hour to get. By the time I was serviced the chicken wontons, it was 10:30 pm. I arrived at 9:45. Chicken was really cold, it was 15 minutes before I even saw the bartender again. read more

This experience was such a mix and reviews for me. I had the sirloin with shrimp. The shrimp were very small, and there was not that many of them.. although my meal was cooked very well and tasty. The bartender was extremely slow to wear. You would think that she forgot your order. The bartender also was not big on coming back to check on you. You always had to flagger down. There were plenty of TVs to watch football games so that was a plus. I can't say it was a wonderful experience, but I did get to eat. read more

We dropped in for the 25 cent wings and let's just say they didn't disappoint. You read it right 25 cent per wing. We love chicken wings over here. The wings were boneless and you had the choice of Asian, BBQ or Hot. The dipping sauce is also your choice it's 25 cent for a small cup and 50 cent for a large cup. Oh! And you must order the wings in increments of 5. So try them all. You can't beat it because you are only paying a quarter per wing. I have to admit I thought they were going to be bite size, but they weren't. They were the regular size you'd receive on a non sale date. We also enjoyed some good queso, we had to send it back twice to be heated, but it was a good treat eventually. I don't care what anyone says, I love Applebee's and I'll go back anytime I'm in the mood for some cheap food! I went a few weeks ago with my friends when I realized there was a location in Baton Rouge. It wasn't very clean but I can't say that's there been one Applebee's I've been to that didn't make me feel gross after being in there. Regardless of that, the food here was pretty good compared to other Applebee's! I ordered the chicken wonton tacos and they were good, I just wished they were a little warmer. The appetizer sampler was very good as well and definitely worth the price. That could have definitely been shared with by more than 3 people and I would get that again. Really the only reason I gave this place a 3 is because it's Applebee's, a chain restaurant in a not so great area. It's not gourmet food, it's good, cheap and you know what you're getting yourself into when you walk in so I can't really complain but I also don't feel justifiable giving it more than 3 stars. read more

We've never been to a local Applebee's since moving to the area 18 months ago. When just looking for a different lunch diversion we popped in here a few weeks ago. What a nice surprise. It felt very Covid safe, separated, professional, and valuable choices on the menu. We ordered from the lunch special menu items and were just totally pleased with the quality and portions of our selections. Being in this land of fine Louisiana fare, a chain restaurant is normally a last choice, yet this Applebee's was surely a great place for a quick, valuable, cost conscience lunch. If I could give zero stars I would. It was the worst Applebee's I have ever visited. There was terrible customer service. After being seated, we waited for our beverages for more than twenty minutes. We had to wait an hour for our dinner to be served after she eventually returned to take our orders. Even though our appetizers arrived with our meal, some members of my company did not get their meal. In addition, our waitress was not attending to her patrons; instead, she was chatting with her old friend. The bathrooms are very disgusting. There was tissue all over the bathroom stall. The paper towel machine was broke. The bathroom trash can was overflowing. One of stalls do not lock. There are also employees smoking in the bathroom while a baby was in there. read more

I ate majority of my meal before noticing that they had a little fly that was in my mashed potatoes. This wasn't the only fly I noticed, my 16 year old noticed a fly in her salad shortly after receiving it. As well as my cousin who is allergic to seafood, noticed a seafood taste on her steak, when we asked our waiter how the steak was cooked, he told us that the steak and the seafood is cooked on the same grill, meaning that they don't have certain spots for the food . It's Applebee's. Honestly I prefer them over chili's and Olive Garden (as far as chain restaurants go). This place is a hit or miss. Either you're going to get good service or bad service. Cold food or hot food. You get my drift. Luckily on my last visit I had an awesome waiter. He stayed on top of refills and getting our orders out fast. He seemed to have control of all of his sections. The portions sometimes don't seem across the board but all in all it's enough to get you out of there not feeling as empty as you came. I would recommend their cheese sticks to anyone as they are my favorite. The new manager seems to be keeping it clean inside. They've also been running different cheap drink specials each month. This month is dollar Long Island iced teas. My first was watered down but my second was perfectly strong. May be the tactic to have you order more since their only one buck. read more

We generally hit Applebee's late, they have a full menu till closing. The place is bustling always seems busy. They have a bunch of TVs tuned to sports stations and that's a good thing. They have a full bar, I don't know about a happy hour though. They have a lot of chicken plates and fajitas seem to be their new focus they have four or five combinations to choose from, a few pasta dishes and several burgers. It's fun, loud and boisterous!! I like Applebee's a lot more now than I did ten years ago!! read more

It is my friends 21st birthday and her one request was to go get spooky sips for 5 dollars. We walked into applebees and just stood by the front. The front lady didn't even know an excuse but said they couldn't sit us? there was a good 11 tables we could see that were open. we asked for a wait time and she walked away and came back to say that there was no way they could sit us? so when asked why she just stared at us... I don't know if this is because there was 7 of us and it was too much for her to handle or if it was cause we were a different race but we were kicked out of applebees for who knows why? there was also a group behind us who got let in. This review is of the hostess today and not really the restaurant. Went for lunch today and the first person we saw was the hostess of course. Told her we wanted a booth and we're taken to a table. Asked her about the monthly $1.00 drink and she said "Ask your waitress" then "the menu is right there" Never a smile or hello just a very brash voice and couldn't stop to help. (they weren't busy so no excuses there) Unfortunately we were set right behind where she was standing so got to see her in action during our entire visit. Went in Applebee's tonight on 06/17/2023 on Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge, La. I have been there a few times to see a certain bartender. I don't think she was working tonight. I sat at the bar like always. Nobody even looked in my direction. So, I sat there for 13 minutes, an nobody waited on me. They did find the time to wait on the black people. I was insulted by this. Applebee's has definitely improved in Baton Rouge ! The past three times I ate here everything was delicious! I decided to bring my sister here for her birthday she really enjoyed herself. We began with one of the new appetizers, the neighborhood nachos with chicken de..li..cious! The cheese was melted perfectly and everything was fresh ! For dinner I got the broccoli& chicken alfredo pasta and my sister had the sirloin steak topped with shrimp and parmesan with two strawberry lemonades the bill came out to be about $51 and we left a $10 for the waitress that night she was great...they also give a free brownie& ice cream desert to those celebrating a birthday...If you're in town on a budget don't think twice try Applebee's! :) read more

The 2 for 20 combo nearly saved my marriage but in the end it was destined to fail and I am now alone. Well I hadn't been to Applebee's in over 17 years because of a serious incident, but my wife wanted to try some of their specials ! So finally I agreed. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was light and upbeat! The food was actually not bad ! Not great,but not bad either. The service was great ! We were lucky enough to get Freddy as our waiter! If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a meal in which I told them specifically to take out the bacon. They said they could take it out but proceeded to serve my meal with bacon. I gave the restaurant a chance to make it right, and pointed at my girlfriend's meal as the replacement. They came out with a completely different meal, even after the kitchen cook confirmed what I wanted. Both the manager and server apologized, and offered to take it off the bill. That is the least you could do as a business. My girlfriend and I left immediately. I will not be returning to Applebee's ever again. I placed an online pickup order worth $45. Got there and the lady working curbside was scrambling around and apologizing saying that they were "backed up". Inside of the restaurant was not busy. My order wasn't ready and I was told that it was "gone" and "missing". I waited an hour for nothing. There was a time when Applebee's wings surpassed all the other chains. Every once in a while, on a Saturday, we would make sure the kids were doing something and we would go to our local Applebee's (not this one) and order some wings (the real deal with bones) and 2 for 1 beers and have a great time. Luckily, we were 3 turns from our neighborhood. Today's wings did not meet our nostalgic expectations. First, the 10 wing serving has shrunk to 8. Also, the Buffalo sauce was drizzled on the wings instead of coated completely. Today's batch was a mess! Our waitress, Tatyanna, was THE BEST!
