I went here on a date Saturday evening. I ordered the zesty chicken sandwich which was a new item on the menu. When the chicken sandwich came out it was missing tomato, onion, and the ranch sauce that was listed on the menu. I requested the tomato and ranch sauce and I was told they were out of tomatoes. Our server than brought us the ranch sauce which I then put on the sandwich. Luckily I'm in the habit of cutting my sandwiches in half before eating them, and I discovered to my horror that the chicken was extremely raw. Like still clucking. Our server came over to check on us and I told him I would not be able to eat my dinner thanks to the raw chicken. The manager on duty came over to speak with me and after giving me a litany of excuses did not comp our entire meal but at least took off the chicken which was raw... The server seemed like he was new so I'll give him a pass but the manager just didn't seem to want to be very helpful other than offering excuses which didn't help. I'm put off in general. Been here for lunch before with no issues but probably will not be back. read more

I took my mother to eat lunch at Applebees today and it was a wonderful experience. The staff treated her like a Queen and the manager paid for her meal. I might mention here that she turned 102 today and she couldn't quit smiling and talking about her day..Thank you Applebees for making her feel special. read more

I would not step foot in this place ever again. Me and the guys from work went in and were seated. Was told our server would be with us momentarily. The place wasn't very busy but after waiting a little over 10 minutes I ask why we weren't being served. The woman who sat us then went to all the servers , seems like they were just happy with standing at the bar BSing. Then unbelievably we were still being ignored. We waited another 5 minutes or so and decided our money wasn't wanted so we ended up leaving and went to Longhorn steak house where they were more than happy to serve us ( great service ) I will add!! read more

Food is unseasoned and horrible. Waiter charged us for extra food items we did not order and refused to give us the correct amount of change due. Spoke to manager and he had a nasty attitude saying we should have ordered something else to save our money, even though it was the waiters fault. Food is not worth the money or time. read more

This is from March 12, 2020 which I had been wanting to write. In need of some supper, my wife was not cooking (again) my daughter and I decided to hit the road and get some food quickly. She suggested Applebee's and based on my experience there I said "Let's go". A very good experience even with the place very busy. We were lucky to get a fantastic lady to wait on us, Caroline, who was well versed on their menu and managed to get my drinks very fast. We both had the mozzarella sticks which were cooked perfect and crunchy as we like and my ribeye was very juicy and done as I asked. Her chicken tenders were also very good, I know because I stole one from her. The experience was excellent because Caroline was really on top of things and the food was beyond what I expected from them. We took the time to speak with the manager and shared our experience with him. I think that my daughter and I have a place where we can get great food & service close to home when in a hurry. Last year I gave this location 1 star. Oh what a difference a year makes. Great service, my food was scorching hot when it came out and and it came out in a very timely manner. With a group of 9 that is very hard to accomplish. One persons food took a few minutes longer than the rest to come out of the kitchen, but outside of that this was one of the best Applebee's experiences I've ever had. Ask for Chelsey. read more

I will be honest I will never be back here again. If I could rate it zero I would. My boyfriend and I went here for lunch. He asked for the Mac and cheese specifically with out bacon because on the menu it said it was only topped with it. They served with bacon in it and when we tried to have it changed the kitchen manager said it's in the sauce and that it could not be changed. Then he said can I just have what I was having which I specifically stated was the spinach and artichoke and brought back a meal which was the wrong meal only to find out the kitchen manager was the one who changed out the meal unbelievable the kitchen manager has no clue what's on the menu and all the manager could say is oh he didn have to pay for the meal. Of course not you messed up two pasta dishes and put bacon in one where it was not asked. They failed to fix the problem twice I will not be returning there is no excuse for this. read more

We had lunch here on a Monday! My son ordered the American burger. The only thing on it was cheese, meat & a toasted bun with fries. The waiter asked if he wanted it medium or well. He said medium well wasn't a choice, strange. The price was $10-too expensive for nothing great. I had the lunch French onion soup & chicken Caesar salad. The soup was good. And salad was fresh , rather on the small side for $10. The AC worked well. The ladies bathroom smelt bad & had 12 tiles that slid down the wall behind toilet & they were still there. My husband and I went here for Friday night date night and we weren't impressed. First, our waiter came to our table and sat in the booth with us to get our drink orders. When he brought back the drinks, he plopped right back down in the booth. As far as the food goes, I can only say, Meh. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The three cheese pasta lacked flavor. I completed an online order for two burgers from the 2 for $20 with one having an order of sweet potato fries - sounds easy right? Think again. The cashier was rude upon walking in and didn't acknowledge me as a customer. I had to wait for about 10 minutes, after he takes a phone order, to receive my order only to find out that I paid an extra $1 for sweet potato fries I didn't receive and a seriously cold appetizer (Asian Sweet Chicken Bites). I walk back in to ask about the fries when his reply is, "oh we didn't have any." Seriously dude? That's normally something you let the customer know. We had some free apps today. They were priced just right. Free. One was sriracha shrimp and the other churros with marshmellow and chocolate dip. Sounds yummy right? Unfortunately i wasn't that much of a fan. I feel like the shrimp was somewhat rubbery and the flavor was weird. Horrible service ! My waitress took about 15 minutes to greet us after being seated. Even then it wasn't a greeting it was more like "What you drinking". Asked for a happy hour long island and was told that it could not be made into a top shelf because it would require a managers approval ! Okay so is it that hard to ask your manager a question? This location is very careless. The last 3 times I ordered food to go for my small office, the orders have been incorrect. The attitudes of the people who work there are terrible! It really is disappointing because the food is not so bad. I like the lunch specials for the most part. I'm highly disappointed in the service here. I order and was delivered, lukewarm dry food. The macaroni and cheese was definitely frozen. The garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm and lumpy. And my poor salmon, was extra dry..plus they didn't put my sauce in the bag for the salmon. For what I paid along with delivery, the food should have been hot. I order the southwest steak salad and was when it arrived at the table I asked to speak with the manager to address my concerns and he acknowledged that my concerns were valid by making excuses saying that there had been many people bringing up the same concerns but there are obvious things missing from my salad like the tortilla crisps, that they had put too much cheese to the fact that there wasn't the corn relish and although he offered to bring me something else he was more interested in making excuses then just trying to fix the mistakes so I don't suggest ordering the salad or going to Applebees at all read more

Their food is pretty good. But the service.... I think it was the bartender ' s fault, was not good. I ordered a drink first which is what most people do. The waiter came back a few minutes later to take our food order. Still no drink. We ordered anyway. We were sitting in the bar area so we could see this lazy bartender eating broccoli instead of making my drink. The food came in a timely fashion but still no drink. So, after having relatively good experiences with Applebee's in Kalamazoo, Michigan, I decided to try the one here in Baton Rouge. I always get the same thing: the oriental chicken salad, either eating in or taking carside to go. Last week, I went in, was greeted and seated, and then waited, and waited...and waited. The restaurant was about 2/3 full, and the tables around me were served, asked about their meals, given drink refills, etc. A polite "I'll be with you in a minute," would have sufficed. After 15 minutes with virtually NO acknowledgement, I got up to leave, saying to the table next to me (who recognized what was happening), "Apparently I'm not going to be served." I advised the bartender on the way out... So, thinking / hoping it was a fluke, I called in an order today for Carside to Go. They took my order, and told me it would be 15 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, I called. They said the salad was ready, but there was no one scheduled to work Carside to Go, and I'd have to come in to get it. I questioned that, and they indicated someone would come out. While the order was correct, I noticed on the way home that not only was the salad container open in the bag, spilling salad...the dressing container was lidless, spilled to the bottom of the container. Ok, so my boyfriend took me to Applebees and it looked nice and modern on the inside. Kinda crammed, but still ok. As I looked on the menu, it was very confusing and all over the place. I think they need to seriously rework their placement of items on it. Appetizers were mixed into other areas and not one spot and were at different prices in certain sections. What????? Anyway, I ordered the goddess salad and French onion soup. My boyfriend ordered a chicken entrée. Well, when we both got our food back, my appetizers were bigger and cost less than his meal. Knowing that he is a big eater, I already knew that meal wasn't going to fill him up. I actually liked the taste of my goddess salad, though it could have been a little bigger. When you have a big plate and a small wedge, size will be the first thing that people will look at. The French onion soup was tasty. The meal was pricey and unfortunately my boyfriend decided to stop by another place to eat for a bigger meal for a cheaper price.
