The food is typical Applebee's quality. it was good but was only luke warm. The real reason for the low rating is the Covid Curb Side service. I ordered online. The website told me it would be done at 6:45. I arrived at that time. 10 min later I received a text telling me the food was done. The food was not brought to me until 18 min after that. So the food was 28 min later than the stated time. I saw multiple cars pull in and leave while I was waiting. It makes me wonder if someone forgot about my order and started making it after I got there. I won't be trying this place again until after Covid. read more

Always love to go here. I live locally so I tend to go here for food a bit. The only thing I am not a fan of is the food portions for carry out compared to what you would get in the restaurant.. I have one bad experience here, let's say out of the 50+ times I've been. Our silverware was dirty but when the manager came around and asked if everything was okay I told him, he personally washed the silverware and brought it back to our table. His customer service was the best and our waitress was amazing too. Every other time is amazing. The food is always cooked how I want. The bartenders always make my drinks the way I expect. Every penny spent is worth it. They really know how to make you feel comfortable. The music can be chosen on your phone and they even have tablets on the table with games. Applebee's proved to be generic-the food is bland, and overpriced. I didn't think that the service was that great either. I think that if we had sat at the bar, we might've had better service. Unfortunately,we sat in a booth, and the service that we got was mediocre at best. The bartenders are amazing! Cassie and Steve are always on top of everything. We visit them often more than once a week. So happy to have found such personable people who also give great service. We order from here often because it is so close to our house, the bartender is always so nice and makes sure that we get exactly what we need for our Togo order. With that being said she is the reason we order from here often. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name :( she deserves every penny she makes that's for sure! I decided to dine in about a week ago, and the server was so overwhelmed. The host obviously triple(or more) sat her and she because very busy. I totally understand as a waitress, and I was patient with her. The manager- I think- was standing telling the poor server what to do. She said that the new tables needed to be greeted and that they had no drinks. In my opinion she could have helped the lady out... I felt bad for her. For the price of the food you would expect pretty good service. I was saddened to see the manager not helping her team at least checking in on the tables that had food. We did not get checked on until we were done with our food, so we got the bill checked out and left the girl a hearty tip. This location of Applebee's is decent. The food was good. I think it was a kids eat free night so the place was a disaster, I felt bad for the staff that had to clean it all up. Again, I think this was also the reason that the service was slow and the food took a very long time to come out. I am not a big fan of this chain, however, this one in Belleville is the exception to my no Applebee's rule. During a recent visit with family we ate at this restaurant twice. The menu was a nice mix of items, with items from salad to burgers to mac and cheese to steak and all very tasty. Our server was amazing. Cold TV dinner style food with worse service than microwaving it yourself. Came here for a late night bite (not much else open), abysmal service even though they were not busy at all. So we recently went here just after lunch time and waitress asked what our drink order was. When the drinks came she told the guy the wrong table and he delivered them to the table next to us. Then waitress came back to take our order. After we started with our order she said " oh wait one second i dont have a pen" I watched her grab the pen and then start refilling peoples drinks in the bar. 10 minutes goes by and she still isnt back. New people are walking in and she is taking their drink order. We left! Who knows when it would have been our turn to finish ordering our food. The food is great, but they do not have seating or any accessibility for handicap people, as in seating, or even a handicap ramp for them to get in the restaurant. They used to have great French onion soup. Nice portions. Its now in a 'boat' .. If you remove the cheese you get 4 oz of soup. It slops around in that stupid boat to make it look like you are getting more soup than you are actually getting. No wonder they are going out of business. read more

And my first review as an Elite Yelper goes to... Applebee's? Lets be honest folks. Applebee's is not great. Sometimes it's not even good. It's what they call "casual dining", which means Applebee's is sorta where you go when you don't care where you go. Sadly, it is one of the few restaurants in Belleville that isn't fast food and I found myself here on a Monday night at 8:30 just needing something to eat quickly after a long, frustrating night at work and before a long, frustrating night of getting my ass kicked in Mario Kart. Their Carside to Go® option is pretty convenient when you don't even want to wait for a drive-thru. Just call ahead and pick it up. And no worries about bad service... or so I thought. I got the Crispy Orange Chicken Rice Bowl. To be honest I'd had it before and it was a known quantity. The pieces of chicken are always plentiful and meaty. No gristle to be found. The sugar snap peas are crisp, not soggy, and the orange ginger sauce is fairly tasty. There's truly enough food there for two meals. Unfortunately, I got home to find that I had been given no sauce. I was kind of upset, knowing that there was no way I was driving back over there for a 1/4 cup of orange sauce. I made due with some Iron Chef sauces I had laying around and pretty much duplicated the sauce they normally serve. But I was annoyed and called Applebee's to inform them of the lapse (also known as bitching). I got their manager and she apologized and asked if I wanted to come get the sauce. "No" was my simple reply and she apologized again and surprisingly offered a free meal the following night. So there was my dilemma. Applebee's isn't great (we've been over this) and here I was agreeing to go twice in two nights. But it was quite a nice gesture. I could have been any old scammer calling to say I hadn't gotten any sauce when in fact I had. The manager had no way of knowing I was for real, but she made the right call and that's worth a star right there. So I sucked it up and before driving home the next night I ordered ahead and got one of their "under 550 calorie" meals. Grilled Dijon Chicken and Portabellos. I was expecting awful and was actually pleasantly surprised. Aside from not being piping hot (it was pre-ordered take out after all), the chicken was tender and the portabello on top was almost as thick and meaty as the chicken breast. It honestly was not bad, especially considering the low calorie content. So Applebee's gets a 3 star review for service that went from lackadaisical to overachieving and food that was better than expected. BRAVO! read more

I use to go here a lot on my lunch breaks at work. Wait staff is friendly and mostly fast. I like the auto check out at the tables so you don't have to wait for your check if your in a hurry. Their French Onion Soup is my favorite. Mostly always clean inside. Only reason I didn't give it a higher star rating is because they don't cook the food right sometimes. I don't like my burgers pink in the middle. I love bleeding steaks but not burgers. And 7 out of 10 times it is pink. I'm not one to complain either so usually I just suck it up and eat it or take it home and reheat it later. Last time I went though it was not even editable. Like it splatted on the plate when I took it out of my mouth it was so raw. So that is why. read more

All of our meals were cold and the manager came to see what was wrong, she did apologize and finally had our meals remade. But when they were very subpar!! Despite being a chain restaurant the Belleville Applebee's still feels local and that to me makes it a great place for dinner. I have been there many times and don't have a number of bad experiences that I can count on more than one hand. Good food and friendly service. Second time in 2 weeks going here, and thats only because i wanted to give thwm a second chance. Unfortunately both times or appetizers were cold and when my friends fiesta lime chicken came it was also cold.. i mean COLD. The second time we went service was slow but the place was empty. I have never had a bad experience at Applebee's. I find that it is a restaurant with mediocre food. The menu has a great variety of entrees, appetizers, desserts and combos. Prices are moderate, but value is created with the 2 for $20 menu. I have found that service and management is consistent and very present. I will return in time. read more

All of my empty dishes sat in front of me, even the appetizer dish and drink glasses during my entire meal. The entire bar was like that. Had asked for drink refills every time. Waitress was awesome with allergies. I always try to check online before going in to a restaurant but when I got there she knew what was in most of the food and just verified before putting in my order. Everyone was attentive and helpful even with my baby. The koala care in the bathroom was on point which to be honest is a make or break for new moms. It was clean, serviced and even had the liners!!!
