It's Applebee's sometimes it's a hit or miss. Tonight they weren't busy, and my party of 9 was able to get seated quickly. They don't allow you to move tables like the other locations so we had to sit at 3 separate tables. The restaurant was fairly clean but it's always so dim lit inside. The bathrooms needed some attention. Our server was Kimberly and she seemed either upset, was having a bad night, or maybe that's her personality, idk. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. My family and I went out for a nice dinner, only gripe was that there were no TVs or visible eye line to them from where we sat, which seems silly. But that's me being petty I suppose. This is my second time in the area and my second time ordering from Applebee's through DoorDash. And this is the second time they forgot to include an order item. This time I did not get my flavored lemonade. And both times I asked to include utensils and both times they were not included. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice; shame on me. I am back in the area next week and I guarantee I will never order again from this Applebee's. Or from any other one for that matter. Perhaps it was the date, time of day or that I walked in and ordered my To-Go, but contrary to the last reviews, my experience was pretty good. To-Go order for Salon Saturday, 3 orders of Double Crunch Wings, Riblet Basket, 2 Sides of Fries and my order - Chicken Fajita Rollup. Ordered a Makers and Sierra Mist while I waited. Took 15 min for the order to be ready. It was correct and hot. Everyone enjoyed their meal! Food tasted great. I tried a few wings and enjoyed the crispness of the outside while the inside wasn't overcooked. The Fajita wrap was a good size for the price and a fair amount of chicken in the wrap. Flavors were good and fries were cooked well. Hadn't had Applebee's in some years. Glad to see it's still good eating in the neighborhood. read more

I decided to get half off appetizers at Applebee's. The host was very polite. He said there was about a 15 to 30 minutes wait. I looked around, and there were plenty of seats. It wasn't busy. But I understand if you are short staffed, it will be a wait. I said no problem. The place looked nice. It's been a while since I've eaten there. He seated us, and he said something to my server, and she didn't look too happy. She disappeared. Later, she came out of hiding and said something to the table next to ours. Later, I looked up, and she was gone. After a long wait, she came over and apologized for the long wait. She rushed us to take our order. That was fine. We knew what we wanted. She brought the drinks and appetizers. The drinks and food were great. I was done with my drink when the appetizer came. I wanted to order another drink. But she disappeared. After some time, I looked for her. She was nowhere to be found. I was purposely not finishing my food, waiting to order a different drink. Then I decided I was going to go ahead and eat and not get another drink. She is still nowhere to be found. I got a call. I needed to go to the emergency room.. I can't find my server. I stood up looking for her. Eventually, she appeared. She went to the next table and then came to me with a bill. I said, "Don't leave, I'm ready." I paid the bill and had to wait even longer for my change. I would have given it to her for a heft tip, but I didn't want to reward bad service. Not once did she check on us. She disappeared for long periods of time. Seeing that I was in a hurry to leave, she took an extended amount of time to return. I still gave her a tip even though she didn't earn it. This is the neighborhood hangout spot apparently. I went in for the month long dollar margaritas. The margaritas were actually pretty tasty. We also ordered a few appetizers. Hubby and I stopped in last night for late night happy hour. The restaurant was clean and not very crowded. The late night happy hour advertises $5 apps from 9-12 on the wall, but they were out of "happy hour menus" and the employee advised that the app prices actually varied depending on what was ordered. We took our chances! We ordered boneless wings, nachos, chicken wonton tacos, a side of fries and a side of queso. Hubby also ordered the $1 Mai Tai monthly special. The fries were amazing - hot, fresh, crispy, PERFECTION! I haven't had fries that good in a while (and secret, I didn't want to order the fries, then ate almost all of them)! The nachos were also tasty and the wonton tacos are my FAVE! I didn't try the boneless wings. The Mai Tai was lacking - to be fair the employee did tell us she thought it was "heavy on juice" - we agreed. We have had other $1 drinks there that were amazing, but the mai tai was lacking. Overall the food was good and prices reasonable - wonton tacos were 1/2 price ($4), nachos were $8 (usually 11) and the wings were $5 (usually $10). We had tons of food plus 2 drinks for $25. The employee who helped us has helped us before - she seemed to be having an "off" night. She may have even been the only server there besides the bartender. Overall I still recommend them and think the food is reasonably priced and delicious. read more

My boyfriend warned me about this location. Makes me not even want Applebee's in general. They gave us a 45 minute wait Valentine's Day Night, and told us we would get a text when it was an open spot for us. We came to the restaurant, 42 minutes before and the door was locked. I called them (calm toned and no attitude in my voice) and asked her why would they give us a time, take our phone number, and tell us we would have a spot just to lock the doors. She said she was just the messenger, and blah blah blah. The manager told us that we could just sit at the bar and we could still order but I was on hold for so long we had tried to catch the Chick Fil A before it closed so I denied. Where do I begin. From the kids at the door with the slang greetings to sitting at our booth for 23 minutes without someone acknowledging that we had been seated. DoorDash delivery from Applebee's Very BAD food! I ordered the steak dinner. The steak was so bad I gave my cat a piece and he literally would not touch it. It was clearly over- cooked and possibly had been sitting for hours. Terrible! I also ordered the blonde brownie and it was also dry and appeared to be very old. I had to throw that out as well. The only thing edible was the salad, that was fresh. The next day I called the Applebee's in Bridgeton and told the manager how awful it was. He started making some lame excuse about it maybe it took long for delivery. Not true. My order arrived within 30 min. Long story short, they simply DO NOT CARE! After 9 they have half price appetizers so we went with nachos, the chicken quesadilla, and also got an order of French onion soup. All was phenomenal! The food has been good every time and the drinks are always well made and delicious. And with the new menu, we are excited to try some new things. OK I am so giving it 4 stars. The food is still Applebee's food but I have discovered the spinach and shrimp salad to be very tasty if you get the insane bacon dressing on the side! What keeps me coming back is Christeen's awesome bartending skillz and delicious drinks. (See photos.) She always lets us try new concoctions or gives a small taste to see if we will like something before we order one. Now THAT's service!! Mental health issue!! Mental health issue!!! We went into Applebee's tonight for dinner. It was myself, my partner, and our two boys 6 and 8yrs. I had my registered emotional support puppy with me. I understand he is still a puppy and some places don't like when I bring him in and completely understand that. The manager at this Applebee's though, didn't just ask us to leave because he was a puppy but went on to basically say mental illness is not a concern for him as a physical Illness would be. I showed him my papers for the dog and he said if I had a physically condition like blindness or if I was deaf that would be okay. I told him mental illness is just as important as physical. I could not believe the way this was handled and his opinions on mental illness are just plain ignorant. We will not be returning to this or any Applebee's from here on. read more

This is my neighborhood restaurant of choice. Today I had the shrimp and chicken with garlic potatoes on a sizzling plater. The presentation was very effective. I believe the bar sits 14 or more, there were 5 people sitting , everyplace else had dishes and empty drinks. 45 minutes later I looked and the dishes were still there, come on Applebee's get your staff together!!!! If you go for lunch and some in your group get the unlimited soup and salad special ($5.99) ask them if the soup/salad people can be served immediately. Otherwise, their first serving will come out with the other entrees. So when my friend was just ordering his 2nd soup/salad option, I was just finishing my pasta. I probably didn't want to sit there and watch him eat his whole 2nd course nor did he want me to sit there and watch him eat. :) Beside that, they put out some good coupons sometimes. The Chicken Fettucine Carbonara is normally about $11.39, and the coupon made it only $7.99. Beware though! This entree, which was a normal-size portion, was 1100-1400 calories, depending on whether you ate the bread stick that came with it. Oops! This is the only restaurant I visit on a weekly basis. I am here at least once a week and have been coming here for 3 or 4 years. If you want an awesome bartender who is very nice be sure to come on a Sunday, Monday, or Wednesday night and talk to Christeen. They have very good drink specials and half priced appetizers after 9:30. I normally will wait until 930 to order food and will get a Cheese Quesada. The cheese burger sliders are pretty good also and also on the appetizer menu. While I will not deceive my fellow yelpers and tell you that the food is something to write home about generally it is pretty good. If Lee is working the kitchen it is almost always awesome. If you are wanting to watch some sport game it will most likely be on one of the 6 TVs stationed around the bar area. read more

I normally don't do a lot of chain restaurants. I went here to watch the Green Bay Packer game on my way to the airport to fly out of town. The service was rude and inattentive. I called ahead to ask if they had the NFL sunday ticket and they did. When we arrived, I asked for the Packer game to be put on a TV in the bar and the manager changed it for us. Apparently they only know how to put one game on at a time as they changed all 10 TVs to the Packer game. No-one else in the restaurant seemed to be interested in any of the other games and so there were no complaints. About an hour later, another employee must have started his shift and became upset about the fact that his game wasn't on and subsequently changed all the TV's back to a different game. We complained and he eventually changed it back but then proceeded to wander around the restaurant making snide comments about the Packers with the obvious intention of us overhearing them. While I support him watching his game (although he was probably supposed to be working), I'm paying to be there and watch a game. If they can't figure out how to put multiple games on, I would expect the customer's request to be honored over the employee. His attitude about the whole thing made me pretty upset. I will never go back here. Food was unmemorable, probably because of the bad experience. read more
