We will return soon. I went to the Milltown Applebees not long ago and ordered shrimp Frajitas, the same meal I had at the Bridgewater location. To my surprise it was not good. Worst. Applebees. Ever. That's being fair too. I'm not sure why we continue to come, maybe it's in the hopes that the food will get better. I have never been more excited for mediocre food to finally arrive when it did. They changed up their kids menus, and they look very appealing and kid friendly, but once their meals arrive, their plates look very sad and unappetizing. The best thing I had were fries, everything else was over seasoned or not the right temperature. No refills, and the server couldn't get oir order right - don't get me wrong, she was a very sweet girl, but she was too overwhelmed to handle her section. My meal came out cold and I asked for them to just reheat it in the microwave because I didn't. want to wait for a new plate. This is my favorite Applebee's to eat at. The service was a little slow in the bar area but still good. It was nice to see the car racing on the TV screens for a little while before they changed it to baseball. The pretzels were good and the French onion soup was good. Our entrees were also good. I was in town for work helping another building out for my company. After work I was super hungry so I thought I'd get a nice juicy burger from this Applebees. I pulled up to the curbside, no one came out to take my order. I walk in, nobody greets me. The hostess is sitting on her ass talking to one of the busboys. I grabbed my own menu. Finally the hostess comes to me and says "you gotta go to the bar to order..." I get to the bar and the bartender glances at me and keeps pretending she's busy. There was one couple at the bar...Finally she asks me "did you want to order something?" I say yes and order one of their burgers medium rare. She runs the check and hands it to me but doesn't take my card to process the transaction. She eventually does after chatting it up with fellow colleagues. Then, to my surprise my food comes out after only 10 minutes. I'm thinking everything was all good. NOPE!!! I get back to my hotel room and start eating only to find out that my burger was severely undercooked and it looked like it was just simply warmed up like somebody cooked it earlier that night and decided to screw me over with a left over burger made to look like it was freshly cooked. I threw that crap away!!! DON'T EAT HERE. BAD SERVICE AND BAD FOOD. No wonder the parking lot was kinda empty. read more

I come here often for late night apps with my friends after work and I have experienced horrible service every time. However, we came again tonight because this is the only place open and had an amazing experience. Our waitress Erin was attentive, knowledgeable about the drinks and super friendly. Terrible food ! Was there tonight first didn't have the wine I ordered asked for a Diet Coke I got a regular coke. Ordered boneless wings they were good but the waitress couldn't find us any plates ! This is a restaurant maybe the dishwasher was off today. The grilled chicken was over cooked dried out and the mashed potatoes tasted burnt my husband had ribs they were tough not cooked enough! I feel like it's a 50/50 shot when I come here. The food is average I don't think you are ever going to walk out of her saying "holy smokes that was a fabulous meal". Ordered curbside to go from Bridgewater. I had to wait to park. Server informed me that it would be a longer wait. Which is expected on a weekend night but it would be nice if they told you that when you ordered. Server was unhappy from the start. Obviously didn't check the order because I was missing mozzarella sticks and had to drive all the way back. Must have slapped on a good to go sticker to hold up the receipt. Server told me they were making fresh mozzarella sticks which was a lie because they were exploded and cold . Asked for hot french fries since the ones I got were cold. Server gave me an attitude. Also coupon code didn't work and had to rerun my card. Came home to nacho chips crumbs, cold chicken fingers, and lettuce in the pasta meal with soggy noodles. Have tried to give this location a couple tries over the last year or two but they just don't have it together. Staff is unmotivated and slow. There are always other dissatisfied customers when we have dined here. The other day when I stopped in for lunch with my mom, there were 2 servers on and both of them couldn't handle the tables. The employees, especially the hostess, looked dirty. I think it's important to look neat when you work in a food establishment and I don't want any hair etc in my food! After a fun night at the 4h fair, my friend and I came to the promised land, Applebee's. After being seated we were treated by our very kind waitress Erin. She is by far the best server I have ever had at an Applebee's. After my friend and I were very indecisive about what to get, she was very patient with us and never frustrated. Her kind nature made it feel like home. I have never felt so appreciated at an Applebee's before. Her service was fantastic and very quick, the meals were timed perfectly with our appetizers. And after being surprised that my friend told her it was my birthday, it was the perfect ending to a perfect dining experience. I hope Erin gets to see this and to know that I would die for her. Had lunch here with my wife and mom. Food was okay. Not bad but not great. Service was slow as heck. Waited 20 minutes to place my order. Could have just been our server but she was in no rush. Couldn't wait to order desert so I used the tablet on the table. Also had to ask for utensils. I ordered oak grilled salmon with garlic Beene and garlic mash potatoes. Neither of which had any garlic. Wife and mom ordered burgers which were very good. Everything is an extra charge. Cheese on a burger +$1, sweet potatoes fries + 1.29. Came here tonight, to the Bridgewater spot, we waited for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The waitress who came up acknowledged her friends who came in after us. We informed her that we were here before them. She stated that the host left at eleven. We requested a specific booth where my husband would be able to watch the television. The same waitress told us that the area was closed off, however she gave the seats we requested to her friends. We spoke with the manager who asked if we wanted to move. We decided against doing that then he stated " at least you have a window " as if this is any consolation. This restaurant lacks the basics for customer service. When I am spending my money at least basic service is required. I will never visit this restaurant again. i know - giving a chain restaurant 5 stars is not a good thing - but for my family this one is worth it. My 4 year old daughter is allergic to soy and Applebee's is, hands DOWN, the best place we can get her GOOD, soy free food. I would say 80% of their menu is soy free and they have a special menu for all types of allergies. The staff has always been so wonderful when it comes to her food allergy and we always have a good meal there. When you get a steak, they bring it out to you and have you cut right into it - to be sure it's cooked right. read more

I dislike giving low ratings but I am being generous in my stars. I went out for a bite with my father and my child. Ordered tea, water and kids lemonade. Waiter brought my child a lemonade in a large glass, I didn't think anything of it as sometimes they run out of the children's plastic cups. So we get out food which was an artichoke app, entrees were sirloin steak, lime chicken and kids chicken nuggets. Kids meal had three sad small chicken fingers with a small handful of fries barely covering the center of the plate. My chicken was inedible, they had put some kind of ranch dressing on it. I have ordered this entree in the past and always enjoyed it. Server was pretty bad, he came to check up on us once when we were almost done with our meal. He never bothered asking if we wanted dessert or anything.We asked for the check and server came over and plopped out receipt on the table. I had never in many years dinning at Applebee's had a server give me my check without a check cover; but he didn't say anything about it so I assume he has given checks to patrons this way before. No worries I am a roll with it kind of gal..well that was until I saw he had charged me for an adult lemonade and the 75 cent refill for that size drink) I called him over and explained he had accidentally charged me the adult lemonade with adult refill, to which he said "yeah but your child drank the lemonade" and I said yes but she ordered a child's lemonade you delivered the wrong size drink. He said he needed to talk to his manager and came back telling me he switched the adult to a child but he would still have to charge me the refill. I wasn't about to argue for 75cents vs 49 cents for the kids drink refill so I left it at that. The funny thing is I was a waitress for many years and always tip generously upwards of 30% + of the bill. Instead of pulling a fast one on a customer charging them for an adult sized drink ordered by a child, he could have easily upsold in other ways like liquor or desserts. The food was the worst Applebee's, and servers were very young and seemed to be more interested socializing with one another than attending to customers. I have received the worst service ever in this place. I came here to have lunch with my girl on last Saturday (06/05) when I received the slowest and rudest service ever. I was seated immediately but had to wait 20 mins just to get my drinks. Then another 30 for my food. When the food arrived, the server just dropped them to our table and left right away without giving us utensils. I had to wait another 15 mins to get his attention to give us utensils cause how the hell are we gonna be able to eat our food? I was even being nice to him at this point. Eventually I asked for the check because we stayed in this place long enough.. nope. Took him another 15 mins to give us the check then probably another 15 mins to check us out. Now I understand if they were busy but I've been looking out for this guy and he's been doing nothing.. just walking around and not even checking up on his tables. At this point I got really annoyed so I decided to not leave him any tips. Now I normally give more than 20% tips to my servers every time but this time, I don't think he deserved anything. A week later which is today.. I checked my card statement, only to find out that he charged me 7$ for tips. 7 whole fucking dollars on a 33$ bill. What the fuck? read more

This Applebees is very inconsistent and they cannot cook a steak properly, it is either raw or overcooked. I visited this Applebee's last night with a friend. We ordered from the 2 for $20 menu. The salads we ordered as an appetizer came out at the same time as our food, with no dressing. The medium rare steak was raw and cold in the center. At the end of the meal the waitress dropped the check off and never came back. We couldn't get the little table system to work to pay the check so my friend ended up getting up to look for someone to take the bill. All in all, we will not go back. Sad I'm writing this review, I've been coming here as a child enjoying nights out with friends and family. On numerous occasions I've come here thinking, "ok, maybe it's just that one person who doesn't care.." sadly, I'm starting to think it's the whole place. I've waited longer for someone to bring a check when we are trying to leave because they're busy trying to catch up on gossip, when I order takeout, something is always missing, or wrong, we ate at the restaursnt WITH NO SILVERWARE, so eating mac n cheese was a "pleasant" experiance , and not closing the lid where the food falls all over you as you're being handed food through the car window, trying to get the attention of waiters while they're gossiping. I've also noticed that food serving is getting smaller, but the price is the same? What's up with that? In general, applebees will not be first to come in mind when gathering family and friends. read more
