My husband and I decided to use Applebee's curbside pickup since we had a gift card. I mistakenly expected it to be similar to chili's and their to go orders. We both got steaks with crispy red potatoes and a vegetable. The potatoes were not crispy and tasted like nothing. The steak was unseasoned. The whole meal tasted and looked like a warmed up TV dinner. Very disappointing. We will stick to chili's from now on! read more

Place is dirty. The service is okay. The food is gross. I ordered a steak with shrimp. They forgot the shrimp. Took my dish back to return the same plate with 4 little frozen shrimp covered with this really gross cheese. It was not worth $19. We will not be returning to this Applebee's. Another customer came to our table wanting to use our ketchup because they where out and they couldn't find the server for 10 minutes. This place is sad. Stay away! read more

When we started with the hostess (Ashley) I wanted to leave she was so rude not only to me but everyone waiting! After we got sat down our waitress was extremely nice and helpful I informed her of the hostess bad attitude and she made the rest of our visit well worth it! Food and drinks were amazing! I know you people probably just think I'm full of hate for all things Brighton, and you may be right, but there's a REASON for this. I've lived here for 10 years now. And I've watched this town go from having about five thousand Mexican restaurants and no national chains (except for fast-food) to about six thousand Mexican restaurants and four or five outlets of the big chains. AND THEY ALL SUCK. Seriously, you can open a chain restaurant here that is good to great in any other town, and the one they open here will, invariably, BLOW. I don't know what it is. Maybe they think that 'cause we're kinda out in the sticks, service and good food doesn't matter as much to us. It would make more sense if everyone they hired was actually from here, but that's not true, a lot of people commute up here from Aurora/Denver to work. My recent experience here reaffirmed the above contentions, in spades. We sat at the bar in the newly re-modeled, snazzy Brighton Applebee's, and were promptly ignored for ten minutes or so while the bartender looked for a bottle of some obscure booze, made more difficult by the fact that the remodel included taking all the liquor shelves out, and sticking everything in cabinets below the bar. When she finally did get around to noticing us, we were greeted by a heavy sigh, followed by a half-hearted, "What can I get you?". Now, I don't expect people to do cart-wheels when I come through the door, but a modicum of enthusiasm would be nice. My initial thoughts of getting a nice big plate of surf an' turf were tempered by this, and I decided to stick with an appetizer. Ordered the intriguing sounding pulled-pork won-ton tacos, but they were WAY too salty to eat, and got sent back. So no more Applebee's for me, at least in Brighton. Golly, it's a bear to have to drive to another town every time you want a decent meal. Just came back from having dinner at this location. Worst location I've been too. The place was in need of a cleaning. Now I know it was rush hour dinner service, but vacuuming the floor takes no effort or time consuming at all. Okay, for the main course. My Father-in-law ordered a well done steak w/ grilled veggies. Before our order came out, we could hear the table behind us. It seemed they ordered steak as well and it took three times for the chef to get it right. Our food came out and the server asked us to check our steaks. My wife's steak was good but my Father-in-law's steak was rare. They took it back to re-fire and when it was returned, it was still pink. I ordered a burger. I do not like ketchup and was not aware this came with it. Nothing in the description indicated ketchup was included. My wife ordered the mashed sweet potatoes, and they had the consistency of soup. Last, the place was freezing. 2-3 bites in and your food was cold. Me nor my family will be returning to this location. Side note: I asked why there are so many returned steaks. Carlee a server decided to come up to my table when I was NOT in her section and decided to ask me if I have a staring problem as I was trying to watch the hockey game in my sight across the bar. She then continued to argue with me about if I have a staring Issue in the middle of the restaurant while I was minding my own business with my friends talking about the game. It's very unprofessional for you to confront a table for watching the game that was in the best view. I think it's also very disrespectful that she decided to argue with me and accusing me of staring. I think that was the worst experience I've had and will not return. read more

My Wife and I decided on Applebee's after an evening of Christmas shopping. Went inside and the young lady at the door welcomed us with a smile. We asked for a booth and she told us that the "booth was being cleaned and would be ready in just a minute". Fine. After the hostess cleaned the booth, she wiped the table and seats down with a wet towel (leaving water everywhere). She apologized and got several napkins to wipe up the water. The "waiter" (and I use the term VERY loosely) took our drink orders (diet Coke and water) and came back with the drinks. He asked us if we needed time to review the menu and we told him "Yes, give us a minute or two". 10 minutes later, we noticed the "waiter" laughing up with (apparently) friends who were seated at the bar. He looked at us and walked to the kitchen. A few minutes later he came back from the kitchen, looked at us - Our menus had been down on the table for now 12 minutes - and began laughing with his bar buddies again. At this point we walked out. We ended up at the 3 Margaritas across the parking lot where we had a wonderful meal. If your customer service is routinely this bad - it's little wonder why the reviews reflect it. read more

My friends and I went here last night to eat after the movie, there was not many options so we choose here. We got there and they did greet us and sat us down right away, once at the table our waiter Austin which he was (great) by the way came and got out drinks and waters going. After we order the food and we went through like a drink and a half til the food comes out. Which i thought it was a long time for it being late at night, the food though was good no complains on that some of the alcohol drinks were a little on the strong side but ok. When it came down to us leaving and paying our tab he was more busy in cleaning everything else and then coming to us. I can say will be back but maybe not as often as before and also they can work a bit a their staff checking up a little more on tables and keeping clean in between rushes. read more

Service was fine but food was awful. Meat was marbled to the point you couldn't eat it and the garlic beans had so much seasoning on them my lips shriveled up. Waitress took my nearly full plate and never asked about the fact I hardly ate anything on the plate. I did tell her that the food was awful when she asked about dessert. I have now gone there several times and every time something has been wrong with the food. Last time I chewed on a ceramic chip that came from my plate and had found its way into the rice. When we arrived, we were seated by a very friendly lady who was kind not to put us next to the door as requested. I was in a fairly good mood and wanted to try a drink which is rare for me so, I asked our waitress if they would make the Jolly Margarita with Vodka vs tequila since I am not a fan of tequila she said probably not, she never offered any option or said anything else, that should have been a sign at that point, so we just got water. We had the burger and a steak meal, when they finally arrived, the steak meal was COLD, the veggies/potatoes and I didn't even attempt to try the steak. I told the waitress and she said she would heat it up, I said "If you use a microwave don't heat the meat please". However, instead of getting fresh product I did get Re-heated everything including the meat and it was all done on the same plate which made the broccoli taste like crap to where I only ate one piece, and now my meat was overcooked. She came back by and asked how it was I told her that the meat was now overcooked she said "Okay" and then walked off Then she came back by and said she had taken the steak off the price, okay that was nice however I was only able to eat the very small dollop of the mashed potatoes. When my friend was done with her burger which was okay We were asked if we wanted a box for the non-meal I couldn't eat because of the taste, I kindly declined, it wasn't even dog worth. However, we did ordered desert which was the Triple Chocolate Meltdown, love my chocolate, we sat there and sat there, she kept walking by and it never came, then she came back by and asked if we were ready for desert again, it was like are you kidding so I opted for the check. We not once had a manager come by and if it was the manager that delivered the horrible plate after they re-heated it she didn't say a single word to us. Our server Keera not recommend at all, just assumed I was done eating, plate half full I was helping my grandson. She took my plate without asking. Upset me very much, when she finally came back and I told her I wasn't finished , she didn't fix the situation, just said dhe fix the bill. Rudely never came back, sent a Manager over. I've always had good service here at Applebee's in Brighton, good food, great atmosphere, you know its Applebee's. Tonite I took my wife there for dinner, and I ordered one of those 12oz wood fire grilled steaks, (medium) and it came out like a piece of rubber. My wife ordered the grilled chicken and her meal came our freezing cold, and my meal was luke warmth say the least. I don't know if management there cares, but your place has gone down hill each time we go there. Probably will not return even if it is convenient and easy. Had possibly the best server I've ever had at this Applebee's! His name was Bo (at least I think that's how it's spelled) and as a serviceman who prides himself on good customer service and how to offer it I was thoroughly shocked to see this man reach into his own wallet to make my change. Now understanding the "change shortage" it was just utterly amazing to see someone dig in their own pocket to make change for a customer. Having a history in the food service industry and customer service based career I can honestly say I have never seen or heard of that happening to anyone. No not even I have done that. If you get a chance to swing by ask for Bo's section. My drinks stayed full my food came quick and hot and he even brought my girlfriend ketchup before she even had a chance to ask for it. All in all it was an excellent experience and I've never had such a great experience even though my previous visits have always been great this visit was extraordinary! OK, it is an Applebee's, a chain. So, the food is normal and the decor is a standard Applebee's decor. The parking may be a little tight if you need to park close, but they have the entire grocery center's parking for those who worry about that. And, of course, they do tend to push the alcohol in the server's initial greeting if you show up at dinner time, but that's probably standard at restaurants that advertise the word "bar" in their names. Still, the food is pretty good. And it doesn't take a long time. And the servers at this Applebee's are there to refill the non-alcoholic drinks. The servers are not constantly bothering you about the food or needing anything else. You do have to put up with the manager coming by and asking how everything is, but a lot of chain restaurants seem to do that these days. So, in all, it is a reasonable sit down restaurant with decent food, fairly clean, not too streesful, but it is a chain. Yes, I'll be going back to it. read more

Went to Applebee's for a quick lunch with my mom. I turned 21 yesterday and wanted to get a drink. I was informed that they would not serve me because my ID was issued to me while I was a minor. Instead they offered me a free dessert. My mom and I continued with lunch. She ordered a American BLT and French Onion soup. I ordered the Mac and Cheese with the chicken and a Cesar salad. Before we even received our food I was informed that the manager was involved because the cook did not cook my chicken all the way. They gave my mom her French Onion soup and the American BLT and me my Cesar salad so I had some food while I was waiting on the Mac and Cheese. My Cesar salad was drowned in dressing, and my mom's American BLT was two slices of bread with a piece of what appeared to be Kraft cheese and two pieces of bacon. NO lettuce or tomato or mayo! My Mac and Cheese came out and I didn't even take a bite. The chicken looked beyond overdone and the "cheese" looked like milky water. I sent it back. The manager insisted that they would remake it. I told her that I didn't want it anymore. She didn't seem thrilled. All in all our meal was free. The waitress was extremely embarrassed and was polite about the situation. The manager didn't seem like she cared. I was extremely disappointed and will never return. I don't understand how hard it is to make a BLT and properly cook chicken. Also when the chick was still undercooked the first time the manager was supposedly watching the cook. If the manager was overseeing the cook then why did I get a cheese the looked like water. read more
