Pretty standard Applebee's. The food is consistent with every other Applebees that I have been to, which is great by my taste. Most of the workers are black, but no, that doesn't make the place "ghetto" as other reviewers have mentioned. I've always had friendly, enjoyable experiences with them, and if you are worried about the skin color of your servers, you probably have larger problems in life than deciding where you should be eating. My wife and I always get the 2 for $20 with boneless wings (Yum!), the Chicken Penne Pasta (Delicious!) and she likes the steak or other chicken dishes. They have nightly drink specials, and I'd recommend Friday for the 4 dollar long islands. read more

Zero stars is what this establishment earns... the service is INSANELY horrible.. from management to servers... all bad.. our waitress took our order.. wrote it down and everything... nothing came out right.. there is 3 of is all our stuff came out at different times BUT the salads were served at the same time as the entrees... pure foolery.. and she had the AUDACITY to have a nasty attitude... one manager refused to come to our table when I asked to speak to a manager.. told the server to get the other manager because he was busy and tired and he closed the night before....it is crystal clear that they couldn't care less about their customers.. the other manager finally came over to the table, he took so long we honestly thought he had refused also.. but he came and ordered fresh food... and left.. no one EVER came back to our table.. In general I enjoy the food here. And this was not my 1st visit to this location. It truly is your typical casual restaurant. During my visit I stopped by the ladies room and I must say, they need to have someone checking it hourly. Its important that the trash not be overflowing and if you don't have air dryers, then the paper towels need to be refilled. The food was delicious. The service however was crappy. I was a server for years and I learned quickly that if the suggested 15% of the meal would only be a couple of dollars then good service was essential to getting a little more. Hubby left the min tip and he only did that because I have a general rule that unless the server is actually mean or rude, they at least get 15%. Our server didn't smile once, and she looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. They don't accept their own gift cards here. Tried ordering to-go for the whole family. Girl and then her manager tried telling me the code was invalid even though I just verified its balance via applebees website before I went in, I told them that but I guess they didn't believe me. We stopped at this location on the way home from camp to celebrate our son's birthday, and we're so glad we did!!! The waitress, Bri, was incredibly attentive and helpful...the people were friendly...the food was great (similar to other Applebee's)...and the birthday song - nothing short of AMAZING!!!! This is my favorite location!!!! It's always clean and the atmosphere is right for date night or out with the family. The food is always delicious!!! And the service is superior !!! Just left this place and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the bourbon steak with garlic butter. It arrived in a reasonable time sizzling from the melting garlic butter. The steak was firm but very tasty. The waitress was extremely responsive to our requests and was prompt in supplying us with refills and added condiments. Overall it was a very good experience and will receive our future business. For a chain restaurant with typical average expectations I was very pleased that the food and pricing provided a value dinner. Check it out. read more

Katelyn R from the Applebee's at 6505 Baltimore National Pike, Catonsville MD was completely disrespectful. We were missing 4 meals from our order and she gave us the worst attitude. She was the one who packed the order so I don't know what that says about her. The meals that we did receive could hardly be called meals. The Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp had 3 shrimp in it total. The Chicken Wonton Tacos had a couple crumbs of chicken in the tacos. All the meals were so sad. Wasn't even worth fighting to get the missing meals because they likely would've been just as sad. I will never order from here ever again. read more

Went to Applebee's around 915-930 for half price late night apps. The hosts were friendly, articulate and looked us in our eyes as they spoke. Came off as very genuine and pleasant. One of the men sat us down right away. We waited about 5 minutes and never saw the waitress so just ordered our apps on the hand held kiosk thing on the table. A few minutes after we ordered 3 different apps, she finally came over (about 15 minutes since we sat down). We told her the apps were already in but ordered 2 blue agave Rita's with her. We waited approximately 10 minutes for the apps which was nice since we just entered them directly in the computer. We waited about 20 minutes total for our two Rita's. By then our food already came out and we asked for silverware and blue cheese dressing because it came with ranch on accident. It took at least 30 minutes to get the silverware and blue cheese. We were looking all around and two times she dropped off things to other customers but for the most part we didn't see her on the floor at all during that time. We were stuck trying to eat nachos and boneless wings without forks plates or napkins. After we had everything we needed and our food was cold, she must have realized we were not happy so she came over a couple more times before we finished the meal. We saw the manager who seemed like he was checking in on tables in the restaurant but unfortunately was in a different section than we were so we didn't get to voice our concerns. It's an applebees, so you know the food will be average, and the appetizers and draft beers will be pretty good. The thing about this Applebees is that it is always crowded and typically overly loud. The first few times I went there the staff were friendly and attentive, but the past few times I was there, the staff have been somewhere ranging between ok, but not very friendly, to almost downright rude and neglectful. This place is currently in a downhill slide in my experience. There isn't a whole lot more to say about this place, I still occasionally duck in there for an appetizer and quick brew, but less often, and soon no more unless things turn around. read more

Janice at this place is the only good thing I can say about it! She is professional and courteous. We ordered food from there yesterday and it was less than satisfying. I called and asked to speak to a manager 4 times! NEVER GOT ONE! Janice the to go person HOWEVER, resolved the situation when a manager should have. As a manager of a business I would NEVER dismiss a customer the way I was dismissed by them. Where is the Customer Service with these managers?? Horrible service. To start off we asked for a strawberry margarita. After getting our drinks we asked our server if we could have it blended instead of over the rocks, which seemed more like an issue than it should have been. After getting our drink blended it tasted like a glass of lime sour mix rather than an actual strawberry margarita. We discussed the issue with the bartender who said she could not do anything unless we first discussed it with our server. Once we presented the issue to our server she said it was due to the fact that we asked for it "blended" so it could not be made properly. Horrible place for a business traveler on a Wednesday night. My wife and I took an Uber here to enjoy a light meal. We noticed a row of motorcycles outside, but didn't think much about it. Once inside, it resembled more of a biker club or a soul club complete with live DJ and hip hop music. Extremely loud, bikers in biker club vests and the service was terrible. Avoid this place. Came here recently for dinner on a Wednesday night, which also happened to be ladies night. They had some decent drink specials, but the food was horrible and drinks were not that strong. I do not expect great food being that it is a chain restaurant, but the food didn't taste like any of what I tasted at other Applebee's chains. I ordered three cheese chicken penne and it was so bland, not even the pasta had flavor. I had to send it back. I ordered steak, mashed potatoes, and steamed veggies in its place. These items were minimally better than the pasta. I mean how can you mess up a vegetable. Lets just say I wasted my money... I did not eat the food. This Applebee's is not that great compared to others I've been to. The food here doesn't taste as good as I've had before at another Applebee's and I'm not sure why. Some of the wait staff are great, fast, courteous, and friendly. Others try to drag their ass around and be lazy. The host/hostess staff always congregate around each other and look bothered when you come in to get a table. Someone else mentioned that they skimp on the food a little, definitely on the queso for the appetizer. You'll run out of queso long before you finish the chips. I ordered online and it said my order would be ready in 15 minutes I got here in 25 minutes from placing order and still had to wait another 12 minutes. Also theres no clear direction to where to pick up the order. All the servers were in different colored polos no uniformity in the color so I had a woman ask me a restaurant question when I do not work there at all. So it is obivious not only I clear to as who works here and not. There was alot of staff socializing by the bar hugging on each other just completely inappropriate behavior which included what appear to possibly be the supervisor on duty. I don't know what is going on with Applebee's at this location, but it seems as though this restaurant is going down hill. I guess the management team or corporate are low on funds, so they are cutting down on good food on the menu. First they took away the Lemon Shrimp Fettuccine and replaced it with something not worth buying. Then they replaced the garlic bread stick with a hard inedible roll. The only good thing about this restaurant is the 2 for $20 deal, but no matter what, you will still end up going over your $20 budget. The food was delicious, which was why this got the two stars it got. We got there, were seated, waited 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order. We went ahead and ordered the food too. Waited 15 more minutes to actually get our complicated drinks (a pepsi and a lemonade...). After that the refills were few and far between and I was dying of thirst. When our appetizer came, we got no silverware or napkins. When the actual food arrived, we got one set of silverware with one napkin for me, and no napkins for my partner. Now throughout this whole time, the ceiling was dripping on our table. I mentioned this to the waiter the next time we saw him, after we noticed, which was when he brought the drinks. He said, "Yeah, we know. It's just condensation. I can move you to another table if you want." It's not that you should have to move me to another table, it's that you SHOULDN'T SEAT PEOPLE AT THE DRIPPING TABLE TO BEGIN WITH. The main problem was the incompetent waiter. I left him a measly tip, and a note about bringing enough silverware, or at least napkins, for the whole table. If we had seen him more often, I could have told him the problem in person. read more

I've been to this Applebees twice, because it's on the way to someplace or other. The food is typical chain restaurant food, but the service both time was questionable at best. The one time I was there during off-peak hours and it was pretty much dead. With that said, the waitress still managed to go our of her way to ignore us. I'm in no hurry to go back there, but I won't cross it off my list either. You always need a backup place where the food is just ordinary enough so every one of your friends can eat there. read more

My boyfriend and I went to this applebee's on a Saturday afternoon on 1/11/14. The restaurant wasn't that busy. We chose to get the 2 for 20$ deal. We ordered honey bbq boneless wings for out appetizer, what we got was hot boneless wings. Our entrées came out at a decent time and tasted good. The waiter came back once to check how things were. I finished my sauce i had to dip my chicken and was going to ask for more but the waiter didn't come back for awhile to see if we needed anything. By the time the waiter came back I was ready to go and just asked for the check. I will not go back to this Applebee's in the future. i think I'll stick with going to fuddruckers in Columbia where service is always good even though you seat yourself :) read more

We visited Applebee's because my little one had a coupon from school that she wanted to use. We were seated in a dark place and it was very cold in there. The server brought us water glasses and appetizers. As she was setting down the appetizers, she knocked down a glass of water which spilled all over me and my clothes. My pants were completely drenched in cold water and a reminder that it was already very cold in there. She apologized a lot and brought us napkins to wipe. But here's the worst part. She neither offered us a seat at another table nor did she call in her manager to see if anything could be done to make the situation better. I had to ask her if she could shift us to another table and since it was a Monday, it was not busy at all!!!! We finally ordered the entrees and when the riblet basket arrived, we were shocked, coz those were'nt riblets, but some cheap cut pork meat with lots of awkwardly cut bones in it. On top of this, it was served on a plate of paper like tissue , which started getting soggy and ripping off when you try to separate the meat from the bones?? We thought that by the end of our meal, at least the manager would show his face and ask about our visit but nada.. Nothing at all. Everyone pretended as if nothing had happened. We paid the full price for our meal and promised ourselves that this was going to be our first and last visit to Applebee's. read more

My husband & I was there on Valentine's Day. We have three kids, a 2yr old & a set of 6 month twins. Of course that day was busy, we only had the twins with us that day. We asked the waitress for a sling for their car seats & they had them. Their car seat doesn't fit on the high chair right that's why I asked for the sling. Everything was good that day. We went back like three weeks later with all three of our kids. So the girl was setting the table up & I go to her & asked for the sling & she says ok & continue to put up the high chairs so I went back over to her asking for the sling again she says this is all we have. I said well we was here on Valentine's Day & y'all had it, she says this is what we have. So I asked someone else that said they don't have it, & they don't know what I'm talking about.
