I really wanted to like this place but the longer I think about it, the more I need to express my experience here. A couple of friends and I visited this place to attend a lecture (Profs & PInts) which was being held in their upstairs space. We entered and someone came over to greet us. I explained why we were there and that we wanted also to eat. (This is important later.). We were led to a nearby table. Menus were distributed and after a good while of not having anyone come back to the table, we tried to use their QR code system for ordering but that wasn't working. We flagged someone down and placed our order for drinks and food. Our food eventually showed up (not all at the same time) and my mixed drink was not delivered to the table until after my meal. All the while, we notice people going upstairs to the lecture and start getting worried about seating for us up there. One of us said something to a gentleman that appeared to be a manager of some sort and he came back and told us he had placed a 'reserved' sign on a table for us upstairs so we could finish our meal and not worry. Paying our check was also an issue because then the employee gave us an attitude when some of us paid through our phone and some did not. When we finally got upstairs, we realized that we could have gone up there to begin with, grabbed a table and had our meal upstairs as there was a full wait staff up there. Especially since we had made it known that was our intention. I may come back to this place for another lecture but I'll go directly upstairs. But probably not.....the food was not that enough to draw me back.

Came here with a vegan friend and I will say, there are not many vegan options so we decided to get Pommes Frites. When our server gave us our french fries it was an incredibly small portion which I somewhat expected as it was a side dish, but still not enough for even one person alone. The fries came with a lavender ketchup and garlic aïoli. I had to ask what the sauces were and if they were vegan, the server got a bit sassy and asked me ketchup is vegan, isn't it? I had to clarify that I was asking more so about the aïoli. Although the aïoli tasted good, way better than the lavender ketchup which I thought was a bit strange, he could've mentioned that the sauce was not vegan. Also, the fries were a bit cold when we got them. We did sit in the beer garden, where they are dog friendly. It did take some time for the servers to come out, so service was a bit slow. I also got a flight of 6 beers ($15) and noticed that there was some dirt on one of the rims of the glasses I had to ask for a new glass. Indoors is nice. The bathrooms are clean and gender neutral. There is also limited street parking.

Food was extremely underwhelming. Server doesn't tell us what which food is. The pickled cabbage was so disappointing as a side. I literally didn't even know what it was. The lamb kofta sliders were dry and chewy and super overpriced for $17. I would not come back. The menu online and in person were different. I'm also unsure as to why we couldn't get seated upstairs. It was so quiet on the ground floor.

We are new to town and wanted to check out this brewery which is close to where we live. The bar was full so we were seated at a table. Our server was friendly and attentive. They have a nice beer selection. I tried the dopplebock and my bf tried the Czech Ruby lager; we both enjoyed them. My bf ordered a burger and fries. I tried some of his fries which were really good. They were well prepared and seasoned and the best part was their unique cherry lavender ketchup. Very tasty. I tried a bite of his burger as well. It had a nice char and I liked the bun. It was a bit on the dry side for my preference, but he ordered it well done so that's to be expected. I'd probably go for medium or medium well. I also think a sauce to pull it together would be nice, but still a tasty and large burger. The inside is large with generous seating and I wandered out to the bier garden which was super cute with more seating. I bet Oktoberfest is a blast here. Overall, I'm happy to have found this brewery in town and will return.

Stopped in the other night for dinner with my daughter. This is a very large and beautiful location with free street parking if you can find a spot. Beer hall German style vibe. Our waiter who was also the bartender was extremely nice but pulled thin between his tables and the bar. I decided to try the Chicken Schnitzel and my daughter got the chicken tenders. On the website they offer a kids menu but there wasn't any options on the actual menu. Which I don't know if is on a separate menu option but we weren't offered one. She ordered it anyway and it wasn't an issue. My schnitzel and her tenders looked and tasted exactly the same. Never had schnitzel like this and it just wasn't flavorful at all. It came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I asked to switch the brussel sprouts with asparagus. I was never told it would be an up charge so that was a surprise. Vegetable for vegetable switch I wouldn't think there would be. Also my plate came out with both vegetables instead of the mashed potatoes. When I brought it up he went back to the kitchen to say something and they had him come back out and say they were out and would I like fries instead. Why wouldn't that have been relayed to me to start with? Besides the bad food they do have a nice size merch section, I got a pint glass to take home for the collection but I honestly would never return. Very disappointed.

Guilford Hall Brewery reminds me of an upscale restaurant which happens to have beer. It really is a brewery though. They brew right on the premises. It is a spacious venue, with a bar, high tops and regular seating. The bathrooms are unisex, they are labeled "WC" like in Europe for water closet. The service was grand. My server Yvette was the best part of my visit here. So, if you like Stevie Wonder, you will love it here, because on my visit Saturday mid day, it was Stevie Wonder on repeat. The beer here is hit or miss. There were two beers which were absolutely awful, see beer notes below. Overall though, the beer was decent. I could drink here again, but would not go out of my way to find this place. The BEER: Conspiracy dark lager 4% ABV... I really like this dark lager, it is a totally all day crushable beer Hefeweizen 5.1% ABV... it is a hefe, good. Vienna 4.6% ABV... One note, just meh, a very average Vienna Lager?, the taste seemed not quite done, or slightly off, has a popcorn flavor, not good, diacetyl? British IPA 6.1% ABV... imagine an ESB, but hoppy with citrus notes, piney, finishes with a pepper bite. This is quite good. Czech Ruby Lager 4.7% ABV... nope, yuck, sounded good in theory, tasted awful Belgian Golden 8.5%... this is quite good. A perfect Belgian Golden. My favorite on this visit. So historically, Baltimore is known for craft beer, and in the 90s it was one of the only places to get craft beer. I would not recommend Guilford Hall Brewery if you want a great craft beer experience. Not sure how the food is, but there beers were quite average, with some exceptionally awful.

Attended a "Fright Night Brunch" and had a nice time. The establishment is spacious and the servers and staff were friendly. Parking can get a little crazy, especially if there's an event or a big crowd so keep that in mind. Mostly street parking. Drinks were a little on the small side for an average of $15 each and the food was ok. A little under seasoned on the chicken for my liking and the waffles were a bit sweet. Enjoyed the fresh fruit and the breakfast potatoes. The upstairs space is very large! Perfect for dancing & mingling. Cool spot.

Personable staff, low wait times, background music was loud enough to have a Convo, the beer tasted great and the food was made with love and consideration. I will be back with the homeys

I'm going to go ahead and get right to it. Guilford Hall Brewery is the place to be. If you love good service, good food, and a variety of beers to choose from, I would highly recommend that you give Guilford Hall Brewery a try. In short, I had a train to catch, but I had a few hours to kill. I was hungry and needed a bit that was quick but enjoyable; I did a quick search and found Guilfords, which was just a few blocks away from the Amtrack station. I'm so glad I did. When I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest host (a brother), who welcomed me in. From that moment on, the top-notch service was sustained and ongoing. I sat at the bar, and my bartender was gracious enough to let me try a few options before I made my selection. I went with an ale and grabbed some of the best wings I've had in a very long time. Of course, I had some sweet potato fries for gold measure. The sauce served over the crispy wings was out of this world. I can't say it enough: give Guilford Hall Brewery a try; those wings are everything!!!

I came here for a happy hour event. I enjoyed the atmosphere and food overall. GLOWS: -The grilled chicken panini was a highlight. I had to order another for lunch the next day. - The wings were pretty tasty as well. -The outdoor space is very nice. The indoor/outdoor vibe of the bar area was very comfortable, even on a chilly night. The inside seemed quite nice too. GROWS: - The kitchen was very backed up, but the team worked hard to get food out to guests. -The steak frites was a bit dry and a very small portion for the price.

A nice little spot that hits more on the European culture of beers and provides a nice pub experience overall. Great selection of brews available that can pretty much satisfy anyone's palate. The wait staff is also pretty good overall an providing friendly service. Sometimes it may take a little longer to get service m, but that may be more just a staffing issue. Tasty food as well on hand.

This brewery is so much fun! Went with a few friends to try the pretzel, and found some great beers! The inside is so nice with tall ceilings and plenty of space for groups! There is also a cute outdoor courtyard, The pretzel was great! And the beers I tried were all good! excited to come back to try more!

Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. The old church and architecture is so warm and inviting-- it was still decorated and lit for Christmas so it felt extra festive. It WAS weird to see the brew tanks at the front of the old church, where the altar would have been. But it also places the beer on the altar of our Friday night so I was OK with that. I had an American Pale Ale, the husband had a Kolsch. My beer was exceptional and delicious. My husband said the kolsch was OK. They also have a cute space with books and board games! As well as a cool merchandise wall with excellent cool t-shirts. I had to restrain myself. There is no kitchen or food served here. Order at the bar and sit where you want, there are plenty of tables and a lot of elbow space. The folks at the bar are Super Nice and you should tip them well. They told me there is usually a food truck that shows up at an undisclosed time in the evening. We did order some fantastic pretzels (w/ smoked gouda) and waited some more but ultimately had to go find a meal elsewhere. We will be back, perhaps in warmer weather to wait out the food truck and have more beer. Also, we were there for happy hour so our beers were $5! Thank you to all of the kind people at The Ministry of Brewing! We will be back.

What a fun brewery!…read more My brother had a birthday gathering here this year - we were able to comfortably seat a group of 15-20 people in the outdoor picnic section area. Highly recommend this spot for groups looking for a place to gather and socialize. The space is deceivingly large; there are multiple indoor spaces all within a quick stride from a long bar with dozens of beer taps. The outdoor space is even larger than what's available indoors; their vast street level patio/deck space is full of picnic tables and benches that are perfect for larger groups when the weather is nice. And yes, their outdoor patio is pet friendly. While the brewery itself doesn't serve food, there was a food truck (that looked to be there quite often) set up in the outdoor area that had several good options. I had their burger and fries which was exactly what I needed after an afternoon of brews. The beer itself was tasty; I had several of their hazy IPA's which I've grown to enjoy. So that's exactly what I did for her birthday. When the burger arrived, my wife was genuinely surprised. Chef Andrew even added a candle to the plate to make the occasion extra special. I opted for the orange crush slushy. It was not only delicious but I felt a nice buzz (I believe they said it was 6% abv). It's a cool place that I would definitely recommend to my friends that enjoy beer.

There are so many beers to choose from and I got the Zadie's Lager on draft (which was a delicious light beer). They have windows into the brewing area which looks super cool, and they brew a lot of the beers on site! I ended up getting a six-pack of Mountain Girl beers to take home. Staff was quick and friendly. It was busy for a Friday night and there were some kids running around and being obnoxious, but other than that we had a great time. This is the perfect spot for an event or meet up with lots of friends. The space is huge!!

Our party grabbed a high top table, but that was tricky with our littlest, so we went outside to the patio. While in the winter they have some space heaters to make it more pleasant, they only cover a small amount of the patio. We were far from the only folks with kiddos (a lot of babies and toddlers around), which is why I was surprised I didn't see any high chairs or booster seats. Just be aware if you bring littles. I imagine the patio is probably a lot better in the warmer months, but be aware that there's not much indoor space in colder weather. The pizza was probably the best part of the visit. Their "plain" cheese, the "Formaggio" is a 5-cheese blend that we enjoyed, especially Child #1 and Child #3. We also enjoyed our pepperoni pizza (sorry, Child #2, no olives as a topping). My wife got the chicken tenders for Child #3 and they both shared it - said it was solid. My friends got the pretzels with their Jersey Pizza and the one piece I had was good - sweet and salty glaze; I just wish there were more to eat. The beers were okay. My wife and I are fond of sours, so we got the Peach Cobbler Sour and the Black Shadows wild ale. My wife commented how the peach cobbler sour was surprisingly bitter. The Black Shadows was quite funky. It's not for everyone but if you like wild/sour/funky beers, it's worth a try. Overall not bad.

I was able to hang out at the bar and sample a couple different curations from Jordan and a new cocktail making its way to the menu. Big thanks to Kevin who more than graciously provided me with samples to help me figure out what would be my sipper for the evening. They have a beer that smells exactly like weed. Now that's either your thing or not lol. I had to sample and it definitely gave what it was intended to give. Did you say sample a new cocktail coming soon to the menu? Why yes, I will every time. It did not miss! You know we Yelpers love having the chance to try something first! Two L's (sp) me anytime, please. I also love the graffiti decor, (see pictures) which depicts depth and originality throughout the brewery. There's also multiple items for purchase from local artists that is displayed throughout as well. There is a lot of space so think about hosting an event here if you need an area. They also have those bay doors and a seating area beyond them which could definitely be a private area. They are also dog friendly so bring your companion as long as they're sociable. They also have a food menu and pop ups looks different items from time to time so make sure to stay in the know so you don't miss out on something special. Make sure to enter in the doors at 3:00 if you're standing directly in front of the purple Wico sign. It isn't around the corner, just turn your head to the right and you'll see the clear doors there. Don't miss them and walk all the way around the corner or getting your car and drive around the corner either SMH I can definitely see myself coming back to enjoy one of their events or just hang out with good company at the bar.

When we arrived, we were seated right away, but it seemed like there were very few staff working--possibly only one waiter. It took about 10 minutes before we finally had to flag him down just to place our order. The food then took around 25-30 minutes to come out, which felt very long since we were on a tight schedule for our flight. When the food finally arrived, I ordered the macaroni and cheese, and unfortunately it was the worst mac and cheese I've ever had. I don't want to be mean, but it was very bland and really needed salt. My sister surprisingly liked it, but it just wasn't for me at all. The rest of my family did enjoy their meals, and I thought the fries were decent, just lightly seasoned. My mom especially liked the grilled cheese. The waiter himself was nice and kept our drinks refilled, so I don't think the long wait was entirely his fault. The restaurant is very cute inside with cozy, old-style vibes and festive Christmas decorations, which I really liked. However, between the long wait times, the limited menu, and my disappointing mac and cheese, I wouldn't recommend that dish. Overall, it's a charming place, but the service was too slow for us--especially when trying to catch a flight.
