Most of my experience here were for takeout because if I'm being honest, the service for sitting down is wack. Either way, the food is good and I always enjoy their spinach and artichoke dip. My Dad wanted to go here for his birthday. We both ordered meals and shared an app. First issue no sweet potato fries. Strike one. We were there on Monday night, which means it was not busy and the table service was really slow. Strike two. I then noticed that the hostesses and waiters were kinda grouped in a corner socializing. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ‼‼‼ This place is awful! We ordered drinks. They took 30 mins to come out. The bartender sucked. We had to send our drinks back and they were still wrong. Then my mother ordered a ceasar salad. Which took forever to come out. It tasted so sour. Like the dressing or cheese was old and the lettuce was wilted. I spit it out and my sister legit had to go to the bathroom to get the taste out of her mouth. It taste rotten. We had to immediately tell my mother not to eat any. Our food came out. I used their new automated phone ordering system, and I was not impressed, it took twice as long and knew they were out of mustard but not that they were out of French fries..? I entered to pick-up my order, gave my name to a waitress who got the employee in the kitchen. As they arrived and asked to help me with the payment for my order, the Manager "Shadeen" hurried over to tried to talk over her to help me. It doesn't take 3 employees to help a customer with a take out order, especially when they're are already handling it, let alone a manager. He was offended when I asked how many employees were going to help me? His rude and sarcastic retort as he retreated shows that he has some kind of inferiority complex or problem, and or he has not been trained properly to allow his employees do their job. Shadeen should be reprimanded, have his staff interviewed to see how poorly he treats them, and have his overall performance reviewed. This was the second time with the food being sub-par; my steak was tough, scorched on the outside, and raw in the middle, and had plenty of gristle. The "Garlic Mashed Potatoes" were runny, garlic free, and tasted like they came out of a box. The "Crunchy Onion Rings" tasted like they were frozen minutes before I ordered. The automated system apologized that mustard was out of stock at this location for my wife's cheeseburger, and we were charged $.50 more for the cheddar cheese asked for without explanation. The order was short 2 out of 3 French fries (the pick ticket said 86 fries) and subbed a mashed potato and a coleslaw. Nothing about this was said when I picked up my order. For a restaurant that was not full when we got here, the 20-mInute wait was definitely NOT worth it. After being seated at a sticky, dirty table, it took 10 more minutes for our drink orders to be taken, and then another 20 before they got to the table. In all that time, our food orders didn't get taken either! Then, another half hour later, our appetizer-meals got to the table (my husband ordered buffalo wings with ranch and I ordered plain queso and chips), not only did my husband's order come without ranch, my order came in wrong (they sent me the taco-topped queso) and with stale chips. We had both also finished our drinks by the time the food finally got to us, and when we asked for refills, my drink took so long that we had to ask for a refund after we'd paid on the electronic tablet because we were finished eating and it still hadn't come - another 20 minutes later!!! Around us, there were multiple tables that were dirty, missing silverware, or waiting forever on food or drinks like us. Completely horrible. We decided to hit the bar here for Father's Day! Our bartender was the best! He was so personable and kept checking on us the whole night. The bar was that crowded but it was a few of us seated. WOW. Where can I start.... the customer service here is horrendous. I don't think I have ever had such bad service. Being seated was a task because when you walk in no one available to seat you. Then one gentleman came to seat us, and others as he is yelling out the question "everyone here's an adult, right"? Sooo, finally we are seated...and we sit, and sit some more. No one comes over to serve our table. My friend taps a server to advise there is something on her seat. She is then handed a napkin to clean the seat herself. However at this point there is a young lady looking our way and she seems upset. She is a server. Ours perhaps? Who knows. She walked past our table several times with acknowledging us. So we order wings. At this point I just want to see how much more awful this can get. After our wings and drinks arrive we decided on fries. Another gentleman comes over looks like a mgr we ask for fries. He gives options of sizes, we choose basket. During the wait for fries the waitress who was watching us as she kept passing by keeps doing so, with no greeting or anything. She then appears with our "basket" (just a random plate) of fries. She asks if we are good with everything as "y'all good"? Umm ...I guess. With the level of service so far, we don't expect much. We ask for water. Finally we have had enough. We ask for a the check and some boxes from the gentleman that seated us. He indicates we can get that from the waitress. Ms. Scowl on the face who never introduced herself as our waitress. He then pressed some buttons on the box at the table and leaves. Ms. Scowl appears 5 min later. Annoyed and asking us "what's the problem ladies"? Excuse me?? We indicated we needed boxes and the check. She is clearly upset and states how we didn't need to call the mgr on the box for just boxes. Very confused we explain that we never touched the box. However at this point who cares! Can we get the check???? So now we are annoyed with all of the shenanigans, rude behavior, being ignored and overall bad service. We pay in cash. Leave it on the table and leave. As we are getting in the car we see Ms. Scowl (Erica as her name tag indicated) running out as though we didn't pay. She wasn't efficient enough to check the table. Quite shameful that our horrendous experience at this Applebee's is related to the manager, Brandon, servicing the front of the restaurant. This man was rude, curt, obnoxious and was heard cursing while seating another large group of guests. Our group of 3 arrived on Sunday 1/19/20 at 3:00 p.m. The waiting area was filled with no seats available. There was a light-skinned African American man with a bald head and beard who was wearing a manager name badge at the host station at the time. He informed us that the wait for a table would be 10-15 minutes. I asked if we could be seated at the bar. He abruptly snapped "NO!! We only have one server in the bar and besides all of these people waiting are ahead of you." We did get called for seating on time, however there was confusion between the manager and 2 hosts seating customers. We stood there waiting for the confusion to end while the manager went to go wipe off our table. Our waitress quickly arrived and took our drink orders. One of the drinks came with ice, although we asked for no ice. Our meals came out just as quick, however the endless option was not endless. It took half hour for the waitress to check on us. We asked for additional endless boneless chicken and shrimp. The chicken came out but there were only 4 pieces on a plate. The shrimp never came out, although we reminded the waitress twice. Prior to leaving we asked about the shrimp again and were told by the waitress "Oh....it's still being cooked." I ordered a meal to-go. The meal came out on a dinner plate. I reminded the waitress the meal was to-go and asked for a to-go box. The waitress returned with a small box. I asked for a larger box that the meal would fit in. She left and came back with another small box. I questioned where the meal box was, she responded "This is what you axed for!!....I just axed you if you wanted a box!!!" At this point I am finished being treated like a child and go to address the concern with the manager. After explaining, he looks at me as though I am the one with a problem. He states that they are not allowed to provide full-size boxes for a to-go meal and snaps at me saying "Yes ma'am, how can I assist you?" By now, I realize it is useless to expect good service from anyone at this establishment when the manager cannot even set an example for his workers. I go back to the table and there is a check waiting with a 15% off. I assume for the service problem, however no one advised us, came to acknowledge our concerns or offer an apology. It is not that difficult to provide kind and welcoming service, especially as a manager. The food here is delicious, served quickly and is always hot. This location frequently misses the mark on being polite and providing the service every customer deserves. I plan to contact the general manager and corporate to complain about the inadequate, rude, and straight out ghetto acting behaviors this location typically exhibits. read more

The Blondie dessert. I even chose a hotel once where i stayed for about a month once while on an archaeology project because there was an Applebee's in the parking lot. I might not have ate there every night but i did have a blondie there every night. Today i discovered that it is no longer on the menu. My car will no longer be in the parking lot. The Blondie is what set Applebee's apart from the numerous similar chain restaurants. SHAME . . . SHAME . . . SHAME!!! My poor star rating is not a reflection of the service or food. As soon as I walked in I was asked If I was over 18 which could be the worst insult ever considering the fact that the hostess looked at least 16. After being seated at the worst booth seats this place could ever afford, we had to call the waiter at least 5 times before he asked if we wanted water then dip set before taking our order for any appetizers. Seeing our waiter ask how were doing is rarer than seeing vin diesel NOT star in an under budgeted childrens movie. Yea NO- My friend and I both ordered the Three Cheese Chicken Penne. You normally can't go wrong with pasta... Oh - but yes you can! When I tell you that was the driest cheese pasta dish I have ever seen in my life. Usually cheese, especially Alfredo sauces are all nice and creamy and all over the place. This looked like plastic play pasta :( On a more positive note - the drinks were SKRONG!! (yes - I said SKRONG). I had a flavored mojito and my friend had one of the Top Shelf Long Islands. I've been to this Applebees plenty of times and I would not describe it as "ghetto," as Sam K did below. He must be trolling for laughs at the expense of stereotyping, but please believe me - he's an idiot. The comments about the food being hit and miss are true, but not because of staff fault. Pasta too dry? Not enough queso for your potato twisters? Reasonable complaints, but understand that the food prep is governed by corporate demands - it sucks to be charged extra just to make sure the food is prepped to your individual liking, but it is not the servers fault. They can't give every customer "the hook up," so it's asinine to expect otherwise, from any chain restaurant. Bar service is great. Most of the bartenders have been mixing for years and they all have great personalities. Plus, if you don't want a listed drink, but you still have a taste for something specific, they will whip you up a custom drink that you are sure the LOVE. Jazz, Tanisha and Khalilah all are bomb - get to know your bartenders well, tip them well, and they will always look out for you. Wait service can sometimes be hit or miss. Although no one has ever asked me "Whatchoo be wantin" (side eye again to Sam K), I do have my favorites. Rasheed, Aaliyah, Andrew, Tammy, Ashley, Raven - you can't go wrong with them. Most of the younger servers are still in school, so feel free to engage them in conversation. Game days, Happy Hour (9-close), Ladies Night (Wednesday), and First Fridays can sometimes be a bit loud. Ended up finally...after a long wait...that the Mastercard was charged. So..I called the bank this morning to clear up the VISA issue. What? The VISA card was charged TWICE!!!!!
