For all the years I've lived within 10 minutes of an Applebee's, I've never stepped foot in one!! I fond a $25 gift card a week or so back, and decided to change that. Went in on a Tuesday night, and other than waiting forever for service (Bartender was deep in conversation with kitchen staff), I did order what I would call a very respectable burger. In fact, it was stellar for the grade of this establishment. Perfectly cooked to order, nice slab of cheddar, and the bartender recommended I try the cole slaw. That was fantastic, with a hint of cilantro which was a nice surprise. I'd easily go back for this burger. read more

Went to this location a couple of nights ago, pretty poor experience. Our waitress was not good, we were ordering drinks and she kept referring to coke products when they only serve Pepsi ones, which are not the same. Then I ordered the AYCE deal on the chicken tenders and when asked for a 2nd plate, the order was taken but she didn't clear the old plates away, ordered a second drink and old glass not removed from the table, when my 2nd plate eventually arrived ( a good 25 minutes later) it was wrong, at that point we were ready to go, and no longer wanted anything. Check took a while to arrive, tables around us were complaining about the same waitress giving them wrong items, I even received another tables drink at one point. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and there was no apology for delays or wrong items being received. No attention to detail, I know it's an Applebees but they should be consistent if nothing else. Good sports watching place! Was looking to watch football & was tired of the crowded sports bar so we wound up here one Sunday. The staff was pleasant, they had drink/food specials for Football & the prices were great! We enjoyed some apps & drinks & we loved that it was not crowded! The menu is pretty lengthy; they should shorten it - kind of over-whelming at times to try to pick something! The dining area has all booths which look cosy. Without question this is how all other Applebees should strive to be. To say that service here is "on point" would be an understatement. I mean repetitive drink refills, timely meal appearances, extra napkins without even asking, plus witty colorful conversations. Then they get my table's order correctly with the spicy sauce on the side for the Chicken Wanton Stir Fry and my Whiskey Bacon Burger cooked just like I requested it, slightly pink. Everything that hit the table was delicious, timely, and exactly as we ordered. [where are we?] Another thing that's apparent, is that whoever's doing the Cooking and Food Preparation back there is "on point" as well because while I like the Applebees that are local to me, the food at this particular one, is like dining at an entirely different restaurant. If I could leave zero stars, I would! Absolutely ridiculous! We were sat at a table in the bar area and waited 10 minutes for someone to come over. The bartender looked at us about 5 times and some other wait staff looked up a few times, no one came over even to get drink orders. My husband and I go here almost every week. The food is great, especially the Southwest chicken bowl, and the sizzling blondie is literally the best dessert I have ever had. My sister and I stopped in for our happy hour appetizers. Jerodney promptly greeted us at the door and introduced himself. He is an attentive server and I am truly grateful for that. The kitchen however, put beyond burnt bacon on the loaded waffle fries. Apparently, the kitchen believes that it is appropriate to remove burnt bacon and top it with new bacon. There was still excessively burnt bacon on the waffle fries sad to say. I wish that they would have remade the dish instead of providing subpar ingredients. it was our second time in this applebees to give it redeeming review, the following; 1. staffs are welcoming , was greeted and seated promptly, always accommodating and always check up on us and quite annoyingly.. 2. went for late lunch and no crowd at all which is a good thing for us, background music was tolerable, enough to hear each others conversation 3. selected the 2 for $30 special plus drinks , very reasonable and were happy to be honest with it. 4. ordered half rack rib with cilantro rice - seems like they forgot to take out the rib on time out of the oven , coz its burnt and dry - didnt make a fuzz about it since i was hungry , cilantro rice was good but the fiesta lime chicken was fairly good , and the strawberry margarita taste like watered down . quite disappointed at this applebees location. i will think twice to go back to this location. read more

We were a group of eight on Saturday evening. The wait was very long (well over half an hour) but I think the problem was they only had one table set up for a group of eight, so another group had to finish their meal first before we could get it. When we did get that table, the other problem we noticed is the table had an enormous centerpiece, with condiments and cards, that we could not remove. It was like a wall dividing us into two groups of four. Service was reasonably efficient and accommodating. Our server readily agreed to split the bill, which was great since our orders were all very different. I had the crispy brewhouse chicken. The flavor was great. The texture was indeed crispy despite liberal application of sauce. However, the portion size seemed on the small side for what the entree cost. For dessert, I had a brownie bite. Perhaps the brightest spot of the meal, it was a nice small dessert at a reasonable price. Overall, I'm reminded why I rarely go to Applebee's. It's both good and bad, but never outstanding. It's a straight down the middle sit-down restaurant chain experience that I'm usually not inclined to pay an above average price for. read more

Had the worst service to date and its a damn shame. Tonight was my nephew's birthday so the family went out to celebrate. Well, what a major disappointment!! Our server was horrible. Service was horrible. Drinks were either too sugary or watered down. I'm a vegetarian and they served me meat! They tried to claim it was an impossible burger, however, if it was, it was cooked right with meat because it was greasy as hell. And I asked for a veggie burger, not an impossible burger. Perfect place tonight. My husband and I were looking for a not so crowded place to ight for dinner. Applebee's came through for us. It had a small amount of guests spaced out perfectly. I cannot believe I actually went this Applebee's. We were in the area, we were meeting people and it turns out everywhere we decided on, there was a minimum of 30-45 min wait...bummer. So we were left with this place. 20 minute wait. The food here is gross. Now, I do like my chains every once in a while but this place is terrible. Let me back up. The only edible food was the app - pretzels and beer cheese dip. I had a chicken wrap thing that I took two bites and just ate the fries...oh and they were decent. I arrive at this supposed "wonderful" and "family-fun" restaurant with a whole heart, however this is where the downfall began. Applebee's - this is the place my kids always beg to go to. Why? they absolutely love their kids meal selections. You can get Mac and Cheese, big kid mac and cheese with breadcrumbs and chicken! French Bread Pizza, chicken tenders, Chicken grillers etc. The part they love is the yogurt with apples and the apple sauce go go squeezes. Great great sides for kids. It also keeps them away from the french fries - when we are here they don't even ask for them! For the adults, they have an ever changing menu. We tried the new shrimp appetizer - it was very good. Lightly tempura battered with a light spicy sauce. Very good. My husband had his 'ol faithful' - Chicken Fajita Rollup and i had what was the old Tequila Lime Chicken - but aye they are family friendly so now we call it the Fajita Chicken :) Yummy to say the least. Service was good - she wasn't the most talkative server and didn't make any recommendations. She was on top of the refills of drinks and did let my children order which sometimes servers do not like. We enjoy going here for the late night menu and usually have great service while sitting at the bar. I also, always feel welcomed by the hosts, they are right there to greet you and open the door, which I think is a great way to start and end your experience in a restaurant. The other night we came in for dinner and sat at a table and had awful service. My boyfriend and I both have working the food industry and are generally pretty understanding, however, the server we had was very unattentive and it wasn't busy at all. She did not bring us a single item. We waited almost 10 minutes to be greeted, when she did come over we gave her our entire order and thats the last we saw of her until AFTER our food came out. We had drinks from the bar, waters, appetizer and entrees brought out by different people. When she "checked in" after we had gotten our food, we asked for extra napkins and never got them. I am truely dissappointed because we do enjoy going to this location because it's close to our house. We will most likely continue to visit for the late night menu but will not sit in the dining area any more. read more

I love this Applebee's service,the food is great I recommend the French onion soup I have everyday for lunch and dinner.

The Good: Friendly atmosphere, fantastic artichoke dip, and well-seasoned chicken. The hosts were kind, and they seated us within the allotted time (15 minutes). Further, our food also came promptly, the appetizer came before the entreés and thankfully left a sizeable gap between our finishing it and the next course. The Bad: We had the Fiesta Lime Chicken, which sounded and looked great on the menu. However, when it came out, it looked like a good half of my plate was devoured in the cheese, the chicken almost nowhere to be found. I found the rice to be dry and not cooked as much as it needed to be, and even after adding lime & lemon, the rice still had as much taste as cardboard. This was a shame because after carving out the chicken breast, I found it delicious. Besides the food, though the hosts were lovely, our server was rather inattentive. She came to our table quickly, served our waters and took our orders. Afterwards, she was nowhere to be found for refills, or even bringing our food. Then she returned with our check and started to clear the table with our consent. Not to mention, we mentioned how cold it was in the place, only for her to chuckle with some half-hearted, and then proceeding to not do anything about it. read more

After coming to this local spot for about 6 years now I came with my girl friends and my one and only 21 year old friend got denied an alcoholic beverage due to "The NJ emblem not showing after shining light and didn't scan" when the male server asked for her ID he walked away and took a while to come back and deny us. Then we asked for the manager Sue, who was rude and made the inconvenience more embarrassing for us. The license was issued by the Randolph DMV this august 2021. On our way out , we asked Sue again for her name so we could fix this issue for the future and she responded saying "Sue. Please go report me" that's how she responded when we didn't ask in a rude. check the cameras we simply asked because she's the manager it's important to know her name. Automatically assuming and asking us to PLEASE report her. Honestly everything else that happened aside I found it really out of pocket for her to make that comment as a manager. I assumed the responsibility of a manager is to resolve conflict in a respectful way. It just looks bad on the business for a manager to respond in that way and catch an attitude before the customer.
