Haven't been to Applebee's in a few years so thought I'd give this one a try. My fiancé I decided to get the 2 for $25 deal. He got Mac n cheese with the chicken fingers, I got half slab of ribs, and we shared spinach & artichoke dip for an appetizer. The dip was very watery. Mind you I have had this from probably 5-6 different places and also bought it premade at the store. I would not recommend this. The ribs I had were burned. Literally black, crispy, and dry. I couldn't eat it. The Mac n cheese wasn't bad but not impressive. Also our appetizer plate sat empty on our table through out the entire lunch until our check was dropped off while everyone else's tables were getting cleared. Won't be back. read more

We stopped in this location and I ordered a BLT. When the waitress brought our check I commented the sandwich tasted like it had cabbage on it and the cook didn't know the difference between cabbage and lettuce. Mark the manager came out and explained that a mix of lettuce and cabbage was being used as part of the new menu. I checked with other Applebee's stores and re-read the menu to find no mention of cabbage as part of the Classic BLT. Surprise, Mark lied to us! And we are quite certain that Mark knew he was lying. We weren't looking for anything other than an apology. Now we're looking for another restaurant in Frankfort, because Applebee's can't be trusted. read more

One of my favorite places in Frankfort! I come here all the time with friends, and the food is always fantastic. The sweet potato fries are quite literally the best thing I've ever eaten. Also, Bryce is one of our favorite waiters to get, he's absolutely hilarious and great at what he does! read more

So it's been 7 months since I left my last review. Well I came back to watch the Super Bowl and there was no hostess on duty. I sat myself and had to flag down a waitress. They said they were having 'hostess problems'. I ordered a dessert and a water with lemon. They brought out my water, no lemon. Which isn't a big deal but obviously they didn't listen. Next I'm watching the super bowl along with everyone else in the restaurant and the waitress stars vacuuming!!!!! Like what?? Every customer here is only here to watch the super bowl and you start interrupting the biggest sports game of the year?? I asked my server if she had to vacuume right now, and he went and asked her to stop. She did but for the next 30 minutes she LOUDLY complained about it. This Applebee's could be a gold mine since it's the only restaurant/bar open late at night and on Sundays. But obviously they care very little about customer service. read more

Had been looking forward to a quesadilla burger all week. Got my quesadilla burger and it was terrible. It had no sauce, hardly any meat, or anything else. It was flat and just the worst ever. Horrible service. My girlfriend and I waited at the host stand for 5-10 minutes to be sat. We arrived after work at 9:15pm. We knew this would be a great place to eat at that time of night. We had to ask for refills. I ordered the usually good fiesta lime chicken. The accompanying rice came out crunchy and brick hard. I ordered fries in place of and never received it. The manager on duty never checked on us and played on his phone leaning against the wall. I guess that's why this chain is still bottom of the barrel. As a food and beverage director, I have to say I'm disappointed and will never return to this establishment. read more

ZERO Stars!!! We had the WORST time here tonight. We had 13 people and had to sit at 3 separate booths (no big deal that was fine) what wasn't fine was the fact that we had 2 waitress but had the most horrible service. First I ordered a mixed drink and was told they didn't have the right liquors so I ordered something else they were out of that as well then I ordered another one and finally got that. After we finally got to order our food, what food that did come out was cold, overcooked, or wrong all together. Then 2 of my guests didn't get their food at all after most of us had already eaten. My husband and I had both ordered fried shrimp and didn't get that until we were ready to leave. I went to the bar to complain and the manager came out and asked what was wrong and I explained everything and then told her I had to go up to the bar to get refills because our waitresses never came back. Then my nieces food had hair in it!!!! Come to find out one of our waitress family was at the other end of the restaurant so that's where she spent her time. Two other booths next to ours got their food rather quickly but then told us that theirs was wrong and cold. Then to top it all off the manager brought our our checks and sit them on one table and said just figure whose is whose. When we looked over our check we was charged for the drinks that I never got and we got no discount nothing. The manager brought us over some $5 off coupons (that we couldn't use today) and brownies for the kids. I am NEVER one to complain about food or service because these people mess with your food but this was atrocious!! Every year we go out to celebrate my sons "angel" day in heaven so it is always more emotional for me and this just made it worse. I placed order on grubhub on the 14th of July, paid for the order and went to Applebee's for pickup. When I got there I was told it was not paid for. So I paid for it again. When I checked my account I realized both payments were taken from my account. No problem, I called both grubhub and Applebee's in Frankfort, grubhub confirmed the payment but Frankfort won't refund even though i have receipt for the payment. read more

It's been a while since I've been to this location so why not give it a try, after all it was nice outside and had a patio. I met my daughters after work for happy hour and we decided to chill on the patio. While it was extremely nice outside, big mistake. Rarely did our waiter come check on us. My girls both ordered appetizers, and everything looked great minus the pub Pretzels. Not exactly something to write home about. One Pretzels wasn't even completely cooked in the center and it wasn't a normal fat pub pretzel. When our waiter did come out to check on us, he never offered drink refills or to take empty plates or glasses. More people gathered on the patio and not one waiter came out to wait on them. My oldest decided to head on home and I had her go inside to find our waiter. Needless to say, I know why I don't frequent this Applebee's. Poor service and the food wasn't anything to write home about. read more

In need of a MAJOR overhaul! I hadn't been to this location in several years, so decided to try it out again. First, the place was almost empty, yet we were seated beside a spot where the roof was leaking into a bucket. The waitress, although nice, was dressed like she was ready to clean her house. Wasn't super hungry so opted for an appetizer- the beef nachos, which were swimming in grease. My son ordered the sliders and liked them, but overall, it was not a good experience. Went there tonight after the Christmas parade and was totally disappointed. Upon entry at around 8 pm going ther was no one at the hostess stand. Watched a few servers and dishwashers walk by but still nobody to seat us , finally after people began to backup out the door a young girl arrived and told us there was a wait even though we saw empty tables . For a store chain as big as Applebee's I think the district manager should drop in and check it out. Something is wrong if you don't have enough staff on a Saturday night to handle a regular flow of guests. read more

Never have I left a restaurant feeling more depressed. We asked to be seated at a booth, and somehow that could not be accomplished even though there were 8 booths open. The chicken wonton tacos tasted fishy. The steak was miserable. The broccoli was brown on the edges. The mashed potatoes tasted instant. When I opened up the triple hog sandwich there was no pulled pork, and barely any barbeque sauce. The fries were bland.The table next to us also had to send back food. I've been to this location a couple times and honestly just have mixed reviews. My first experience was really poor as the food was just terrible. The only reason why I went back is because I was outnumbered when I had family come into town. That visit wasn't bad and I have since been a handful of times with my coworker. Today though, was very disappointing. My coworker and I work 12 hour shifts in a small space with no natural light so when it came time for lunch we really wanted to eat someplace that had outside dining. We decided on Applebee's since it was close and convenient. When we walked in we asked the hostess if we could eat outside and we were told that she didn't have a server for out there. She did have a us wait a moment while she asked someone if they would want to cover a table outside. When she came back she told us that if we wanted to eat there, we would have to do so inside. I just feel that this is a poor business practice and, as a former server, question how the server was fine with turning down paying customers and their tips. Applebee's lost our business today and it will be a long time before we attempt to go back! read more

Applebee's had been serving good food since the added their grilled options. I was hungry and had been craving fajitas so decided to give Applebee's a try. I ordered the regular shrimp fajitas (I'd had really good shrimp here in the past). My fajitas were served within 15 minutes but they were the loaded ones. I did not want smothered in queso so they took it back. My shrimp fajitas arrived arrived in about 10 more minutes. The manager served me and asked if I needed anything else--just silverware. A couple minutes later he brought silverware. Avoid the fajitas at Applebee's at all cost. The tortillas were stuck together. The vegetables were basically raw. The condiments were not what expected. The manager took care of my meal. It was edible but not good. Strange to say best part was the rice. Seemed like they were having a bad night. Two ladies seated near me had cold food served and no silverware. People across from me had melted desserts served. I know they rushed to get my correct order back out but I was Leary if the shrimp was cooked, the vegetables weren't. Gave it two star because the Perfect Margarita was good and a good value, even if it took 10 minutes to get. read more

My fiance and I have only been getting desserts to go for the last few months because the last time we dined in the food wasnt right and it didnt taste very good either. So last night I ordered 2 different desserts and both were wrong. The churros werent cooked all the way and the sauce consisted of marshmallows and a small splash of chocolate on the bottom. The blondie came as well with no ice cream. Then tonight I got a burger in place of the desserts and it had no top bun and no fries to boot. Dine in or carry out at your own risk. They will replace your food if you feel like waiting or driving back. LOL. On another note i bet my dogs love applebees. read more

Ate there 4/20/19 and it was the worst meal we've had. Waitress was great - kept drinks filled. Servers were slow and got order wrong. Wanted bacon burger with onion only. Came out with everything. Kid took it back, scraped off everything and brought it back. Burger was lukewarm and fries were cold. My son's plain cheesburger was so bad he couldn't eat it and his fries were cold. If this place was the ONLY place to eat, I'd rather starve. read more

For my birthday dinner, my family took me to Applebee's. We waited for over an hour only to find our server had not put in our order. After another 30 minutes, four of us got our food but the server left out one persons order still and my food was barely warm. I will NEVER eat here again and do not recommend! I usually love Applebee's and the service is almost always great. Today I went to lunch here and it wasn't busy at all so you would expect service to be as good as usual. Well it was not. Our server, Lisa to be exact was the slowest server in the whole restaurant. We ordered an appetizer and it never came. She also never gave us drink refills and never came back around us until we started paying our check. She said about 5 words to us the whole time we were there and she wasn't even the person to bring us our food. Thankfully she didn't put our appetizer on the check since it NEVER came. I don't see us coming back here anytime soon. read more

Applebees portions small..100 % chips, 10 shredded meat, and 5% melted cheese...distributed poorly...but quick service..

Applebees in Frankfort is my fave place to be. I work right across the street and am almost in there everyday. The environment is great, wings always A1, and beers always nice crisp and fresh. I am almost there more than my home. read more
