Towel with vomit outside of door.
Judi M.

Our son wanted to do the all you can eat wings. I wasn't excited about going to Applebees, but decided that we would give it a try to make him happy. When we arrived there was a note that said the air conditioning wasn't working well. It wasn't horribly hot in there, but it wasn't cool either. Our server was nice enough, but you could tell the heat was getting to her. She ended up getting kinda snappy toward the end. She couldn't remember anything and we waited forever for everything. The all you can eat wings ended up being a joke. You had to beg, borrow and plead to get another plate with 5 wings on it... It took 15-20 minutes between plates. I know that heat was probably unbearable for our server, so I'll give her a break. However, management could've been helping out more. As far as the place itself. The parking lot was filthy. There were more cigarette butts in the parking lot than there were cars. Weeds were growing everywhere, a vomit soaked towel greeted us at the door. Now onto the food...Our quesadillas were undercooked, the cheese wasn't melted and the chicken was cold. The wings were no more than chicken nuggets. That's what you get when you get boneless though. I wasn't happy to see servers with their phones out when our server was running our credit card. I'm sure nothing bad was happening, but just the perception wasn't good. I'll watch my debit card the next few days to be safe

I see why all the low ratings here. Had company and ordered 2 orders of the Tacos , a burger for Husband and some extra fries. A tad over $40. The food was not the least but warm. Told you pick up in 15 minutes. We live like 3 minutes away. Husband was back really quick and we opened the food, handed some out. Myself and company got the Chicken Tacos. They were floating in all the thin coleslaw dressing on the tacos !! Teeny tiny pieces of chicken. Maybe 4-5 tiny pieces. LOADS of the kind of stale slaw and some lime wedges soaked in the dressing. You could barely pick the first one up it was so soggy. Forget about the other 3. Husband's burger was bland as can be. The fries, limp and cold ! We were all hungry as hell from yard work and just ate to eat something! The fries were tossed out by the bird feeder. The crows ate them very willingly. They loved them, but they love dead vermin too !! You cooks there should be ashamed to serve such garbage as expensive as your food is. It's a treat to most people to eat out. I called about it and was told "oh, sorry" and hung up on after going through a long annoying voice prompts a second time. First time to order. Been 4-5 years since we have eaten here. Used to be pretty tasty. It will be longer next time IF EVER again. You don't care either.

The service is very slow and there is no sign of a manager. It took so long to get seated we almost left to go elsewhere.

So far lipstick on my coffee cup, dirty plates, and 3 of the 4 silverware packets. Before the food came. Not a good start.

The bartender was kind and polite and quick with the service. There were only about three or four tables with people, let them during the course of my time. A few other folks came and sat at the bar. I heard it a side salad with salmon and it came out to me pretty quickly. The flavor was delicious, the salmon, well cooked, and the apple vinaigrette dressing on the salad was delightful. The biggest challenge, was a table with a few children sitting at it. This is no fault of the restaurant, and really, not even the result of my four-star rating. This is merely a statement: if your children are misbehaving and screaming and banging things on the table while other people are trying to eat their dinner, then perhaps the best option is to remove the children from the restaurant. It's always surprising to me when parents are selfish and subject everyone else in the vicinity around them to the poor behavior of their children. As a parent myself, I would never do that to other people. When you go out to a nice restaurant, you want to relax and enjoy the time not listen to tantrums from a three year old. Even the bartender in the servers were frustrated with this table. Some people even walked out after sitting down when they realize that unbelievable noise is coming from one table. Ok, soapbox time is over. Support the summit grill kitchen.

The brown sugar old fashioned was also made to perfection and paired wonderfully with the meal. The service was great, and the atmosphere was very nice -- upscale but still comfortable. If you're looking for food and service that match the dollar amount you're spending, it's absolutely worth a visit. Very -family/large party- friendly

However, when I arrived, the carry-out line was out the door. The girl behind the counter was amazing, a little flustered, but getting out orders as quickly as she could; the kitchen was slow. The girl behind the counter, Dove, did an awesome job, and keep in mind, the poor girl was left alone to deal with all the orders, and it was her first day. I didn't get my food until 7:30. Considering she was being yelled at by some customers, she handled everything well. She followed all protocols perfectly. I think the overall problem was that there was a table of 30+ who ordered the entire menu, and the kitchen was backed up. They need more staff. My food was hot and fresh, nothing was missing. The manager was great too; she was working in the back to get the orders out properly. If I had to say anything, it's just hire more people to help with dinner rushes.

The kitchen did an outstanding job at making it presentable in a half dish manner. There was plenty of toppings to accent the salad. The grilled chicken was moist, easy to cut and slightly seasoned to enjoy. The Cobb salad is a must try if you are a salad goer. The pizza was good. It has a thin crust that was crispy but not burnt. The pizza was just soft enough that you could cut it with a fork. We had the everything pizza. There was a good variety of toppings and plenty of them. The sauce was not very predominant. I would probably ask for extra sauce next time so I could enjoy the tomato sauce accents more. Overall...good thin crust pizza.

The restaurant is large and could handle 8+ people sized groups pretty well. It's clean and orderly. Not a lot of appeal in the decor. The staff here was very friendly and really hustled to serve us. I really appreciated that our waitress pushed our kids meals to the front of the line. On this occasion I ordered plain bone-in wings with a dry rub. I was expecting wings that were slow cooked and smoked in a dry rub. BWR fries their wings and then rolls them in the rub. I found the wings to be small in size and not very meaty. None of my 10 wings approached meaty. The wing seemed to be over fried. The exterior was very crispy and seemed to pull a lot of the moisture out of the wing. The lemon pepper dry rub was very good. The rubs were very thick on the wing. You could easily pick to the lemon pepper flavor. Though it was almost overpowered by a salty taste. The Parmesan dry rub had a clear cheese flavor and wasn't as salty. I think I need to try their wet wings before I give a definite thumbs up or down.

I haven't been during the week, so can't speak to that experience. The one downside is that they seem a bit short-staffed. On busy nights, wait times for drinks and food can be long, and it definitely seems to overwhelm the team. That said, the staff does their best under the pressure. This was my first time ordering from Chevvy's. I've driven by their strategically located building for years. I've seen the pizza sign and thought I've got to give it a try. So i did!! Finding the entrance to the parking lot is a challenge as you have to enter from the north side. The place appears to be small on the outside but feels rather large on the inside. The bar takes a prominent place when you walk in. The bar tending team was very friendly and helpful. Chevvy's has a decent sized menu of specialty 12, 14 and 16 inch pizzas. The prices seem like they might be on the plus side of average die a hand tossed-thin type pizza. We went with the Everything pizza on this visit. The pizza crust is on the plus side of thin crust but not quite as thick as a hand tossed. It was baked to a nice soft and moist bottom side. The top side crust browned and crisped up nicely. This thickness is somewhat unique for Fort Wayne. The crust didn't have any distinct seasoning flavor. The tomato sauce has a nice sweet tomato paste flavor. You won't find much of the flavor on the pizza except in areas where the sauce got pooled. You pick up the taste more on the edge of bare pizza crust where there aren't many toppings. I thought the sauce was so good that I would probably order it with extra sauce the next time to make sure the whole pizza was accented with this flavor. The Everything pizza had plenty of fresh toppings. The toppings tended to pile up into layers more toward the middle of the pizza. The meats had a nice bolder flavor. The tasty mozzarella was decently thick to hold all the topping together yet thin enough that it didn't have that beautiful stringy pull apart stretch. Is Chevvy's famous for their pizza? They could be more famous if people knew about their thin crust and tasty pizza flavors. I'm sure those that have had Chevvy's pizza are more likely to tell others about it! Give it a try if you have not had a famous Chevvy's pizza! While trying their famous pizza I decided to sample the wings. Chevvy's is definitely NOT a destination for wings. You can find their 8 medium-large wings for $15 offering on the appetizer menu. They only offer four flavors of wings. Do not a destination but not bad. The wing was perfectly cooked. All white inside that was very moist and tender. They are briefly fried such that only the ends of the rings had any crispiness. The order comes with medium to large sized wings. Chevvy's only offers hot, mild, BBQ and teriyaki sauces. I went with the teriyaki. The sauce was thin in consistency but did a nice job at sticking to the wing. They dipped the wings in sauce so there was plenty of flavor. While the teriyaki flavor was mild...it did have a distinct teriyaki appeal. The appetizer came with three celery stick and your choice of ranch or blue cheese dressings. The blue cheese dressing was very thin and some small clumps of blue cheese crumbles mixed in. Not very appealing in my book. Overall...wings probably aren't Chevvy's claim to fame. Chevvy's isn't a destination for wings. However, if you are there, and you want some different that is on the menu...their wings aren't a bad choice.
