This is my first trip to Buffalo Wings & Ribs. The facility is located in the Joan Plaza strip mall. Lots of parking and easy to find. The restaurant is large and could handle 8+ people sized groups pretty well. It's clean and orderly. Not a lot of appeal in the decor. The staff here was very friendly and really hustled to serve us. I really appreciated that our waitress pushed our kids meals to the front of the line. On this occasion I ordered plain bone-in wings with a dry rub. I was expecting wings that were slow cooked and smoked in a dry rub. BWR fries their wings and then rolls them in the rub. I found the wings to be small in size and not very meaty. None of my 10 wings approached meaty. The wing seemed to be over fried. The exterior was very crispy and seemed to pull a lot of the moisture out of the wing. The lemon pepper dry rub was very good. The rubs were very thick on the wing. You could easily pick to the lemon pepper flavor. Though it was almost overpowered by a salty taste. The Parmesan dry rub had a clear cheese flavor and wasn't as salty. I think I need to try their wet wings before I give a definite thumbs up or down.

If you order ribs and fries for takeout, request the fries be put in a separate box. Unless you like soggy fries.

I'm a wing aficionado, so finding a place that specializes in wings was a complete score for me! I did not come to eat healthy or try the variety on the menu, I came for wings and this review is focused on that. First of all, I must complement BW&R in cooking the wings to proper doneness (places like BWW do not do this unless asked for "well done"). They also had plenty of sauce! #score The only thing I'd hope for next time is a better choice in beer and wine. Either way, I'm still coming back with an empty stomach and excited tastebuds!

Wow, they really went downhill. Every time I come in here I think the wings get smaller and smaller. I asked the waitress if these were from pigeons? That's how small the wings were. As you can see in one of my photos, the flat is probably a half a bite worth of meat. Over cooked and dry. Such a disappointment! This place used to be so good. And the prices have doubled. It's now $14 for a 10 piece lunch. It used to be $7.99.

Good service and much more affordable than b-dubs. I really liked their French onion soup. Their chicken wrap was decent too.

I've avoided trying them because I'd heard they were always busy and had long wait times. On this occasion we had no wait even though they were really busy. I'm really glad we gave the Black Dog Pub a try. Black Dog is located in a strip mall at the Coventry Plaza. Parking can be deceiving - if the front lot is full then park out back. There is a small outdoor eating area which you will encounter as you go inside. The Pub has an inviting but small bar located right at the entrance. The restaurant will only seat about 50 dinners inside. The four person table is very small. Not much room for 4 water glasses, 4 drinks, 1 appetizer dish and four entrees - actually painfully small. On this night the outside temp was 90 degrees. The kitchen wouldn't make pizzas, calzones or grill wings when it is this hot (safety reasons). The team here was very friendly and helpful. They really hustled, kept the refills coming and served us well!! The menu is fairly large - salads, burgers, pizza, sausage rolls/calzones, sandwiches, subs and wraps. Something for everyone. All items seemed reasonably priced...and the ones we tried were delicious! Here is a run down of the food items we ordered: -Onion Rings: Black Dog says these are the "Best in Town". I'd say they were really good and worth a try! They start with a thick piece of onion and hand batter it with a very thick coating. Not too oily. Not much added flavor in the breading. Just an outstanding onion ring! -Side House salad: nice sized salad with a variety of side vegetables and cheese. Everything was fresh and tasty. -Cole Slaw: "Our signature Cole Slaw" better be good! The slaw has medium sized cabbage and carrot pieces bathed in a very light mayo sauce. The dish is slightly sweet with a little added seasoning. It comes off refreshing and cool yo taste. I really liked this signature dish. -Sweet Chili Chicken wrap: my wife had the wrap. The chicken was moist and tender. The char broiling gives it an added flavor coupled with a very mild sweet chili sauce. No strong after taste kick. She really liked the delicious wrap. -8 piece jumbo wings: on the appetizer section of the menu for $11.50. In the 8 order...there were probably more large to medium sized wings than jumbo wings. My teriyaki wings were lightly fried such that the skins only had a small amount of crisp. The inside was thoroughly cooked - no pink. Unfortunately, they might have been a little over cooked as they were solid white and a little tough/dry. The teriyaki sauce was thinner in consistency. They dipped the wing in a healthy amount of sauce. Much of it pooled in the bottom of the basket. It had a decently dark and bold teriyaki flavor with no spicy after kick.

I have been here once for lunch and once for dinner. A little slow but the food was great both…read moretimes.

We wanted to thus drink because it was traditional to do so, would be comforting, and we wanted to both celebrate surviving it, in the case of my mom literally. My favorite type of wine is Albariño, it is a white wine native to Portugal (where it is known as Alvarinho) and Northwestern Spanish region of Galicia. For those reading and interested, this is the taste profile according to The Spruce Eats: "Albariño is a dry white wine with aromas of citrus and peach. On the palate, the wine can exhibit characteristics of grapefruit, lemon peel, apricot, and sweet melon. Because the grapes tend to grow in coastal regions, they can also have a touch of salinity. Some wines may exhibit a slightly bitter finish, similar to citrus pith. Overall, albariño is light-bodied and low in tannins but high in acid. The high acidity makes this wine refreshingly mouth-watering and best served well-chilled." I used to have it quite often when I lived in Miami, but had become a difficult thing to find up here. I was in the past able to order a number of them through a local liquor store near my house, but that sometimes required large minimum orders and that can be a bit of a pain. So i started checking out or calling local liquor and wine stores in the area. I was about to throw my hands up and give up when I came into this Cap n' Cork. I made my way to the wine section and beheld albariño. So glad I finally found a place I can get some of this wine by the bottle. Excellent!

The bartender was kind and polite and quick with the service. There were only about three or four tables with people, let them during the course of my time. A few other folks came and sat at the bar. I heard it a side salad with salmon and it came out to me pretty quickly. The flavor was delicious, the salmon, well cooked, and the apple vinaigrette dressing on the salad was delightful. The biggest challenge, was a table with a few children sitting at it. This is no fault of the restaurant, and really, not even the result of my four-star rating. This is merely a statement: if your children are misbehaving and screaming and banging things on the table while other people are trying to eat their dinner, then perhaps the best option is to remove the children from the restaurant. It's always surprising to me when parents are selfish and subject everyone else in the vicinity around them to the poor behavior of their children. As a parent myself, I would never do that to other people. When you go out to a nice restaurant, you want to relax and enjoy the time not listen to tantrums from a three year old. Even the bartender in the servers were frustrated with this table. Some people even walked out after sitting down when they realize that unbelievable noise is coming from one table. Ok, soapbox time is over. Support the summit grill kitchen.

Summit Grill Kitchen & Cocktails - jumbo onion rings and supreme pizza…read more I love onion rings so I had to try the "jumbo onion rings" on the appetizer menu. It was the least expensive appetizer option at $12...and the "jumbo" sounded attractive. So why not? The rings are "jumbo"-lly bigger than most others offer. The ring is made from a large onion. The onion piece was rather thin. I was expecting a "thicker" piece - perhaps two layers thick given the size of the ring. The onion was sweeter and mild. The batter was very thin, flakey and a touch oily. It has a nice seasoning to go along with the chipotle sauce. Definitely worth a try if you like onion rings. The crust is a hand tossed style and baked to a soft crispy crust. It has a slightly sweet flavor with a mild flour taste. The sauce was not very prominent to the flavor - mild tomato sauce taste. The sauce was hidden by the pile of fresh toppings. There was a nice amount of delicious mozzarella cheese to hold the toppings together and give it a moist pizza flavor. Cold Pizza Test - the pizza was still soft and moist 24 hours later. It seems like the ingredients "marinated" and enhance the Italian flavors. The mozzarella cheese flavors tended to "pop" more. Delicious cold pizza! Overall a pizza. Dinning in is a nice experience. Beautiful facility. Casual and relaxed...though it's pretty loud. Professional and friendly service.
