I only came here because I am visiting from out of state and it's one of the only chain restaurants nearby. I thought because it was a chain it would be good. Unfortunately I couldn't even enjoy my food because I couldn't feel my hands to even use my fork to eat. The customer service on the other hand was horrible. They sat us at a table where the air conditioning was blowing freezing air directly on to us. For context it's 60 degrees outside. The issue was when we asked the waitress if she could see if they could turn the temperature up or the fan down she said she would ask. Several minutes passed and we saw her talking to the manager. The manager, I believe her name was Adrianna M., laughed and walked away. The waitress then came over and told us that they would try and see if it could be turned down. Meaning that they weren't going to do it. The waitress was then super rude to us the entire time we were there. The manager and maybe assistant managers then sat around and played on their phones, gossiped with one another and watched tv. The waitress was only nice when she came to give us the check. If you are looking for a chain restaurant I recommend not spending your money here and going to the Red Robin down the street. read more

The hostess spoke one word, "two" (no greeting whatsoever). We sat for over 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence. Went to the restroom and saw the hostess leave the bathroom without washing her hands. Yuck! The food order was messed up. Mine was cold and the chicken tasted like rubber. My guest had a chicken sandwich and said the chicken tasted funny and couldn't eat it. The cleanliness needs to be addressed. The only thing I used the bathroom for was to wash my hands. Came in on a Friday night with the parents and mind you this place was packed. It took about fifteen minutes to talk to the hostess although we were standing right in front of the stand. He walked a group to their table and came back, didn't say anything to us and walked away again. Truthfully that's why I'm only giving three stars. When it came to my find the bourbon chicken and shrimp were actually good and satisfied my taste buds. Sure it's not 2 for 20 anymore since this falls under the $27 category, but I really saw no complains with the dish. This Applebee's is a tried and true favorite of my family. The servers are spirited and personable and are remarkably candid, which is enjoyable. The restaurant is usually clean, and the atmosphere is like all the other bar and grill chains, with the bar located in the middle of the restaurant with multiple TVs for games and whatnot. The food is usually good and enjoyable, even if the presentation may be off. (See the picture for the boneless wings. A few wings weren't even fully slathered in the sauce and was left naked.) I was pretty impressed with Applebee's! I was told it was similar to Ruby Tuesday's or Friday's, but I would prefer Applebee's over both! Our waitress, Kadi, was super sweet and the food was so great! I got the crunchy shrimp and BP ordered one of the steaks. The portions were very generous for being on the two for $25 menu. I've avoided this place because of the poor reviews, but they were unwarranted. The place is clean, friendly with good kid's meals and fast service. We went on a Friday night. Packed house, 5 minute wait. Our order was taken promptly and there was never a lack of friendly servers, food runners or managers in the area if we needed anything. They also had a game system on the table to keep the kids entertained if the crayons and coloring menus didn't do the trick. Kid's meals were $5 which included an entree, side and drink. They had $6 kid's meals which were a little bigger. The meals were very small, but so are their appetites so I didn't mind. One of the kids had a house salad as their side and it was great. Adult meals seem to be $10-$18. Portions are small and the food is what you'd expect from a typical American franchise. I didn't see anything that blew me away, but sometimes a fast affordable meal in a clean friendly environment is what you need. They had a little bit of everything. If you need a killer burger, go to Red Robin. If you want great ribs, go to Famous Dave's. If you want larger portions & a better bar, drive up to Bennigans, but if you want a large variety close to home, give it a try. My family and I arrived at this Applebee's, like we usually do once a week or so.... My cousin ordered "Ribs" but was presented with riblets.... Our server was extremely rude and disrespectful. Our server kept stating that what we were served was the ribs, but in-fact was the riblets. Not only did we get the wrong order with the ribs, but I myself Ordered a "Medium" steak, which the server kept saying "you want medium well?". No I wanted a medium steak. Went for dinner around 4 after visiting Butler's Orchards, pumpkin farm. Teenagers at door in Applebee's Germantown location, unprofessional and need retraining seated us in back and not one waiter or waitress cane to get our order. Got up and left after 15 minutes. Ask to see manager who never came out and one young man said that no one was suppose to be there, the person who seated us said well the chart was not updated. I do not go to this restaurant frequently as it is slightly out of the way, but nevertheless it is the closest Applebee's, I am never disappointed and my kids love it as there are good options for all of us. Staff is extremely helpful, in particular during weekday lunchtimes. I consider it a treat to take a day off and go there during a weekday as the staff is more warm. The managers are helpful too. For instance, recently I bought a gift card from an Applebee's in Massachusetts, where (probably by mistake) the bonus card that comes with a gift card was not activated by the staff (in Massachusetts). The manager at Applebee's (two of them actually who were on duty on different days) still honored the $10 of the bonus card, even though the card registered an error and had no value. The best part about Applebee's is the cheap drinks which are actually pretty good and aren't skimping on the alcohol. The drinks make up for the pretty mediocre food. My gf got streak and asked for medium rare and it came out welllllllll done. I played it safe cause I knew and just got the tendies which weren't terrible just pretty bland. But they gave a ton of fries which honestly were the best thing. However I forgot the blue Mountain Dew is actually really good. Just go there and get Mountain Dew and alcohol. read more

Sooo I have been to this Applebee's a few times and I have had other servers that weren't perfect but good. I have never had a server like I did recently. This server name is Marylin and she was horrible. She didn't listen to what we ordered, drinks came almost an hour later. She had the nerve to have an attitude when she was asked about the drinks that we had to ask about multiple Times. The hostess Vanessa was great and she was very polite. I have worked in a restaurant before and hostess are the first face of a restaurant and Vanessa is the perfect fit for so.
