My friends and I visited tonight for karaoke and were having a fantastic time. We've been here…read morebefore, enjoyed ourselves in the past, and came back expecting another great experience to wrap up an otherwise pretty great night. The atmosphere was fun, the drinks were good, and everything was going well until the last few minutes before closing. Around 1:55 AM, security came into our karaoke room and informed us that the venue was closing. One member of our group politely explained that we were in the middle of our final song and asked if we could have the remaining few minutes to finish it, since they officially close at 2. Security agreed and told us they would return in five minutes. We thanked them and immediately began wrapping things up. Unfortunately, only a minute or two later, a staff member entered the room, told us we needed to "get the f#ck out," and began shutting down the karaoke equipment while we were still finishing the song. When someone in our group respectfully commented that we didn't have to speak like that to us, the response was essentially, "I don't give a f#ck, I want to go home." As we were leaving, we also heard another staff member shouting at customers to get out, including comments such as "Goodbye, adios, whatever f#cking language you speak." Whether intended as a joke or not, it came across as unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. To be clear, we completely understand that businesses have closing times and that employees want to go home at the end of a long shift. We were already preparing to leave and had no issue with the venue closing. The problem wasn't being asked to leave...it was the way it was handled. What had been a genuinely enjoyable night ended on a very negative note because of the attitude and language directed toward customers. It's disappointing because we had a great time otherwise and have enjoyed visiting in the past. Hopefully management addresses this, because a little professionalism and courtesy in those final few minutes would have left us looking forward to returning instead of reconsidering whether we will.

Seating is comfortable and inviting and there is no music to infiltrate one's conversation. The hostesses are kind and friendly. Cody, our server, is well versed in food and beverage and he helped us navigate the finer points of the menu. His recommendations were spot on. Our meal was perfect. My girlfriend enjoyed her Clyde's Chili, mashed potatoes and broccolini, as well as her key lime pie with raspberry dessert. This was one of my all-time favorite meals. The chicken liver with cranberry compote is swoon-worthy. Absolutely remarkable. My Maryland-Style Crisfield Stew was exceptional. Loaded with seafood (mussels, fish, crab, and more) in tomato-based broth that was slightly spicy but not acidic. Everything in the dish was tender and perfectly cooked. (There was one little fingerling potato cut in half as if the chef was vehemently declaring that they do not use fillers in their stews.) For dessert, I had their "Cupcake of the Day," matcha and raspberry, which was light and delicious. The accompanying latte was wonderful. We greatly appreciate Cody, the chef, and the kitchen staff for making us one incredible meal. I want to relocate to Rockville just to be near Clyde's!

The host's name was Mercedes and she explained to me her food recommendations. She was very professional and smiled all the time. She also told me it is raining outside so I should take an umbrella. I didn't have too much of an expectation on coffee as this venue is located inside a hotel but this coffee was definitely the best coffee I've ever had in any hotels. We did that, but no one was bringing us a menu or acknowledged us for five minutes. But, I saw staff standing around talking so I am guessing they didn't see us sit down. I went to someone and asked for menus and then they realized we had just arrived so we had much better service from then on. They did apologize for missing us. Our food was good and I enjoyed the eggs Benedict and had some of my husband's French toast which was also good. I do think the staffing would be helped by adding another person, but that's just based on what I saw. I give the restaurant 4 stars just because the pricing was a bit high, but I do understand we were in a nicer area and hotel pricing is typically high.

I made a reservation however, I was running a little behind but fortunately they were still able to seat me. Next, the waiter came over and took our drink orders. He was very nice, and attentive. It really seemed like he enjoyed his job. So that was nice. For drinks we ordered the mimosas. Unfortunately, it is not bottomless but we still enjoyed them. If you order the mimosas you get a bottle of champagne with orange, grapefruit, and cranberry juice on the side and a cup of fruit. It was a very nice presentation. We decided to partake in the brunch buffet which was delicious. All the items were cooked to perfection, and hot to serve. They offered many options from waffles to grilled chicken and pizza. I particularly enjoyed the chicken and waffles as well as the roast beef and mac n cheese. They also offered a variety of desserts that were tasty as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and not too expensive considering everything that brunch includes. I'd definitely go back. If you are in the Pike and Rose area I suggest you check it out. Cheers!

It is always fun introducing another Yelp friend to a fun, new dining experience. We really enjoyed our watermelon margaritas. They were cool and refreshing on a hot day. We started out with the crispy fried artichokes. They were light and fresh with a delicious citrus flavor aioli. I ordered my favorite lamb chops and they were excellent. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The meat was accompanied by fingerling potatoes and a roasted egg plant medley. Both were very tasty. My friend ordered the filet mignon kebab with French fries and vegetables. She liked her dish a lot. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu and baklava. They were both very good. Our new discovery was their spacious bar area with a large screened tv and happy hour menu. I will definitely return for happy hour. Thanks Ayze Mezze Lounge.

We went on a busy Friday night, and was disappointed with the service and food. Once we placed our order, which took quite a while to place, we waited almost 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The table next to us got their drinks super fast. Our appetizers came before our drinks. We tried the L.F.C- what we got were fried chicken nibbles, not chicken bites. That was a shame as pictures of the appetizer looked good on Yelp. We also tried their Margherita pizza which was really good. This is Neapolitan style. Crust was good. This was the saving grace of our meal. For entrees, I got the 40-layer lasagna, and it wasn't anything special. I can barely taste any bolognese sauce- all I was eating was pasta sheets. L'Ardente in DC has a 40-layer lasagna, that is hard to beat. My wife said her Bronzino was okay. I saw two managers walking around asking everyone how their food was. One of the managers stopped by and said I see you haven't received your drinks and food and walked away. Didn't even bother to check on our order. I probably won't come back, but maybe I ordered wrong and should stick with their Meze dishes. I do recommend their pizzas though. That came out fast and was good.
