We had our three children 6 and under with us and waited 40 minutes for our food to come out. We never received our appetizer until going out the door because it was "forgotten". REVISED REVIEW Leaving my one-star rating and the facts, but updating this to be more kind / helpful. We have now been offered a free meal there after our review, but we absolutely won't visit this location until it is under new ownership or new management, fixed. Read the other one-star reviews. 1/4-1/3 full restaurant. Waiter complained each table visit about management / cooks. Salads took too long, missing croutons, very watery. Watched other tables have food delivery issues. Both entrees took too long and were lukewarm. My entree was totally wrong. My wife nibbled at her entree. After 20 minutes of waiting for mine without a manager or waiter checking in I just gave up. My wife was done eating, I was starving. Had to ask the host for a manager. Now have learned I got the bar manager. I said clearly, "I don't want my entree. Just give us the bill. We want to leave." Then it was 5 minutes with the bar manager squabbling about the bill. They were going to charge us for the full two for $25 despite saying they took off my entree? They tossed the 2 for $25 pricing and charged us regular full price around $24. Minimally it should have been the 2 for $25 minus some cost for my entree, nowhere close to $24. Bar manager did say "If you want I can comp you the meal." Being good sports we said we would just pay for the portion of the 2 for $25 we got, but they still charged us full price. We weren't coming in there to complain and try to get a free meal. Exasperated when we paid the $24 they didn't give us enough change. There is no way to candy-coat those facts. This dining experience was a disaster. I'm hoping the restaurant owner and Applebee's corporate will read this. We're not sure you had an actual restaurant manager on duty. They always float around and stop by tables to check in. Your surveys even ask if that happened so we know it's common procedure. That night a manager was nowhere to be seen. It may not have been that bar manager's job to handle restaurant manager's duties. The bar manager (name deleted) needs training if you expect her to be a whole restaurant manager. If there are that many issues with a guest's experience it is not a question of "If you like I could comp you" it is an, "I'm so sorry. Look I'm taking care of this and hope you guys will come back." PERIOD. Even before then, if it is taking 20 minutes to fix a wrong entree, you either 1. make it immediately, 2. also remake my wife's entree so we can eat together or 3. come out and apologize and say it's coming right up and dessert is on us. SOMETHING. The waiter (name deleted) needs a coaching meeting. He did try to advocate for our meal several times, but there really is no reason for a guest to ever hear about how incompetent the staff is. It just was depressing. We see him mentioned in another review for the same issue. I hope both this bar manager and waiter can be successful with the right support and correction. The overarching issue here is ownership, leadership. So many reviews here mention "understaffing." Right now it seems this location is doomed to fail which is sad. We used to love eating here. It was always packed. With the complaints we heard about the cooks I would be concerned if they are trained which if not could lead to even more damaging issues like food poisoning or health code inspection issues. Do yourself a favor. Bring in a temporary, well-seasoned, Applebee's manager from somewhere else. Pay your workers a decent wage and train them well. Let them know you have their backs to equip them for all sorts of situations like ours. The owner and regional manager need to pop in time to time for a while to ensure things are back on track. I'm still waiting to hear from corporate so I can express not only our disappointment but also our concern. It was that bad. Visited on 4/18 at around 4:30pm. The food was great. Service, horrible. Several tables who came & ordered after us were served their food before ours came out. They even got the same thing we ordered. When we inquired, the server said she didn't know why. Frustrating. Then our server never came back. No drink refills, no checking if the food was ok, no apology....never returned. She appears to have an avoidant personality, which doesn't make a good server. We finished eating and waited too long before I decided to locate a manager. The hostess knew who our server was and was not at all surprised that we were upset. Apparently she has an ongoing fail rate. While waiting on the manager, who also ignored us FAR TOO LONG, we learned that our server's sister is also a server, who apparently is amazing. Maybe some favoritism due to the family connection? Bad move on management's part. We also had a conversation with a guy who was also waiting on his food which had turned into a disaster, he warned us that the manager doesn't care...I ended up going out to the car, because the ever beeping alarm was grating the last nerve I had. Husband finally got the manager, a young female, and he told her our issues and he stated 'she hardly listened and did not care'. She did comp our meal, however, we won't be back. Was there for an hour and 15 minutes. never got refills even though she mentioned them 3 times. Ordered after 15 minutes of being there but order wasn't put in for at least another 30 minutes. Instead of bringing the drinks or appetizer, waitress decided to take a smoke break. after 1.25 hours with only an app brought by someone else, and no refills, no actual food. My husband and I went to Applebee's last night. Food, service, and cleanliness were all terrible. First of all, every surface was sticky, especially the floor ramp and the handrails. We were afraid to touch anything. Second, the waitress didn't know much about the food she was serving. I ordered the steak and shrimp, but told her I didn't want the cheese on it (due to dietary restrictions). When it came covered in sauce, she told me that wasn't cheese, it was Parmesan sauce." I scraped off the cheese, tried one bite, and it was tough and chewy. (I ordered medium rare.). My husband tried a bite too and said it was inedible. The mashed potatoes were cold. I gave up and asked to just bring me a cup of coffee. Server said they didn't have coffee - no coffee maker! WTF! This has to be the only restaurant in the county that doesn't have coffee! We paid the bill and went straight across the street to get some fast food. I honestly don't know how this place stays open! Avoid it!! read more

I have been consuming the oriental chicken salad for many many years. It was always my favorite thing to order and now it is horrible. They've gone from a beautiful chicken breast that was highly seasoned and placed nicely on top of the bed of romaine lettuce, two little squares of pressed chicken that has no flavor on top of a tiny bit of romaine with almost all head lettuce. It's like eating a bowl of water and rubber. The only thing that made it tolerable was that I had 2 cups of dressing which I was able to use all of to get some flavor when normally all I have to do is a half of a cup. I will never get the salad again and likely never eat at Applebee's either because if they're going to dumb down their food like that and raise the price of it, it's not worth it. read more

The $1 margaritas for the month of October brought us in, as I don't typically like to visit franchisee chains over dives or independently owned restaurants. However, the quality of the food left me missing some of my favorite local places! The $1 Margarita was OK for the price, nothing to complain or praise about it. It was a basic margarita on the rocks in a mug. My friend ordered another featured holiday drink that was on their menu, but we watched the bartender read a recipe on how to make it. The food was OK. We just ordered appetizers and while the Oriental tacos were good, the spinach artichoke dip was a little bit sad looking. It looks as though they have cut the portion size of their appetizers in half. Our server was friendly, very friendly, but a bit too attentive. He visited us a lot. Horrible service! Walking in the hostess was not polite or welcoming. When we sat pur waitress quickly came and took our orders. When I recieved my water it had some sort of paper in it that I drank- DISGUSTING!! I ordered another water and the cup was dirty so I just gave up and didn't drink anything. Stopped in for dinner around 6pm. They were not too busy. They took our names and said about a 10 minute wait. After 25 minutes and watching several customers who came in after us be seated, we asked the young lady why we had not been seated. "I called your name" she replied. We told her she had not. She then replied with attitude "well yes I did". We explained we had been standing no more than 10 feet from her the entire time. She then said "fine, I'll seat you next". We said no thanks and left. Eating in, we've always had a pretty good experience. Service can be slow at times, but that happens anywhere. Food is decent, prices are as advertised and the people working are generally friendly and efficient. Our biggest problem has stemmed from the To-Go orders and is why we just flat out don't do it any more. Four orders in a row were wrong and/or missing items we were charged for from entrees to sides to drinks. Managerial staff was always apologetic and quick to offer free desserts, which was nice, but our orders we so consistently messed up that we have given up. read more

Applebee's has a great selection of foods. Sometimes it can be a bit or miss with steaks, though. I usually get mine cooked a degree less than usual or it comes out over cooked, so I get medium rate instead of medium. Maliek is one of my favorite servers and bartenders there! I never used to be much of a fan of Applebee's. Their service was never great and their food wasn't good enough to overcome it. However a few months back I gave them another go and visited them for lunch. I was very pleasantly surprised. I sat at the bar with a colleague from work.
