Those crazy holiday themed drinks pull me in every time! ;). We always enjoy our local Applebees. Tonight we shared our holly jolly very berry something margarita. Hubs tried the surf and turf. He liked it all. I tried the three cheese chicken penne. Yum!! Workers were cheerful and efficient. Bathroom was okay. (It was late...all bathrooms need attention that late...wasn't bad though.) The cost is the cost and you can look it up before you leave if on a budget. read more

A couple of weeks ago I ordered fiesta lime chicken as takeout order at the bar. The chicken was too thick, lukewarm, and dry. The cheese was not stringy. Today I decided to give it another try. I called several times to place a takeout order however no one answered. read more

Very polite young man, didn't catch his name, but this was around 2p. Food was good but ordered a glass of Pinot noir which had turned to vinegar. They opened a new bottle and it was good. Then when I ordered a second one it was the one they offered me that had turned and told me it was from the new bottle. When I talked to bartender she said she would open a new bottle. Good little town to stop outside of Dallas on the way to Texarkana. Kind of tricky to get into though off of the Interstate. Even though it was a little rough start, coming in after the lunch rush and waiting about 10 minutes to be waited on, our server Kayla was very attentive and came back to the table multiple times to make sure we were happy with the food and refills were always coming. Even offered to-go drinks since we mentioned being on a road trip. We love Applebees, but it has been hit or miss depending on where you go in the US. But the little one devoured the mac and cheese. Other food like the Oriental Salad and Burger had good flavor. read more

Greenville, Texas was my stop for the night. A long day and bitterly cold weather added to the fun. I pulled in to this well known chain establishment with about 1/2 hour left before closing time. I sat at the bar and was greeted with a warm smile and wonderful Texas hospitality throughout my brief stay. Fantastic service. Applebee's offers 1/2 price late night appetizers - my choice chicken quesadillas. Not bad, the tortilla was a little stale, chicken and fillings very tasty- perfect serving size. I was disappointed with the salsa - it tasted like store bought, generic salsa. However, it still hit the spot after a long day. Great service, wonderful drinks and decent food. We ate at the Greenville tx restaurant on the evening of 9/26. We were seated quickly our waitress took our drink and an appetizer order. The appetizer came out long before our drinks. When we placed our order the waitress told us they no longer served broccoli, which is served with nearly everything on the menu. So I asked for a house salad which she informed me was an upgrade or I could have squash. So I payed extra for the salad. My wife got the squash which she wasn't happy with and even though both of my sons meals were also supposed to come with broccoli the waitress just brought them without anything in it's place. Never asked what they would like to replace the broccoli with. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. This is the 2nd and last time we'll eat at this or any Applebee's. Both times they have been out of menu items and other options were as the waitress put it an upgrade. While they charged more for a house salad when they couldn't provide broccoli, they didn't charge less for the two meals that came with nothing in its place. On top of that a roach came out from under our booth as we were leaving. This is a restaurant chain that needs to just go away. read more

Wife and I came here on a weekday. Was seated in the bar. The waitress came gave us menus and never asked if we wanted a drink or anything. Sat at the table for 45 minutes and saw drinks being poured at the bar but they never helped us. Never tasted the food here. Inside was clean but no smiles and everyone working looked like they did not care. We left and no one asked why. read more

WARNING! THE LATE HOURS ON FRIDAY ARE DECEIVING! I was in Greenville on Friday on business. It dragged on late and I wasn't able to go out until about 11:45 p.m. I thought, "Well, at least I can still get beer and food at Applebee's" They advertise being open until 2 a.m. on Friday, but when I strolled in they informed me that last call had already been made. They said they still served for food, but I wanted a beer too, so I declined and told them that their hours of operation on the Internet are deceiving, and wrong. Maybe I should have known the Greenville and/or Hunt County hours for serving alcohol better, so at least part of this is my fault. No report on what they do on Saturday, normally in small towns and cities in Texas they serve alcohol until 1 a.m. The hours of operation should really be updated for Friday and Saturday. I might have had a chance to make it before last call. Now I'm just irked and will not come back. read more

I doubt anyone will respond to this review, I can't imagine anyone caring about this restaurant after being here the last couple of times. Honestly I would give this location a much better review if it weren't for the waitress I had. Her name started with an A and she had short black hair, like a bob. She was trash talking a coworker of hers, Kayla, who has been my server multiple times. I cannot imagine a scenario where it would even be remotely acceptable to speak poorly of anyone, let alone one worker of your coworkers, to customers trying to eat. Went as a family dinner with my in laws. We had a good dinner and everything went as expected. The spinach artichoke dip tasted a little off. It was edible but was is as good as I had at other places. The chicken fajita roll up was good and large portion. Seemed like everyone enjoyed their dinner and had a good time with visiting with each other. The people at the bar and bartenders were having a lot of fun and being a bit overly loud. Which disrupted some of the other guests during their meal, including the waiters trying to take orders. read more

The Greenville location is the worst Applebees I have visited. Service was a minus 10 and that's generous. The Bourbon Chicken and shrimp dish was acceptable. The salad had bits of spinach leaves that had a coating of black slime which I noticed after I had consumed most of it. I brought this to the attention of the server, which he didn't respond and overall seemed disinterested. Needless to say I will not return to this location. I am considering a call to Hunt County health services. Maybe they will take a close look at the kitchen facilities. read more

Went inside then a blonde girl with glasses came over did not say one word to me while looking at me. Then walks to the bathroom. This was the worst franchise of Applebees I have been too (I travel for work.) Just to summarize: Draft beer was warm, okay, switched to bottle... Food was greasy, cold, and $42 for poor service. This is one of the better Applebee's that I have been to. I ordered the Three Cheese Chicken Cavatappi. It was delicious. It was creamy, perfectly seasoned and the chicken was tender and not chewy. The diced tomatoes added a very good flavor to the dish. And I don't even like tomatoes. The service was excellent. The waitress was nice, attentive and had a great sense of humor. This place is awful. The staff is so rude and really inconsiderate. We had a huge wedding party, totally ready to pay money for food and drinks... but they told us they couldn't serve us and we had to leave because one of the bridesmaids threw an empty beer can away in their trash can. They said we were trying to bring in outside alcohol. Totally ridiculous. The place is a dump. They advertise that they are open until 2am, but they fail to mention that they stop serving alcohol at midnight. What a sad experience. I am sad to say that the service is NOT GOOD at this location! The last few times we ordered car side to go and it took 45 minutes to make a salad & a burger!! This is after driving 20 minutes to the location! This happened TWICE on separate occasions. We kept going back to see if the service would change & it has not! My first time ever at an Applebee's as we don't have them where I'm from. Our server was very friendly and brought our drinks out to us promptly as well as putting in our order for food. Unfortunately, we waited over 30 minutes for a steak and two sandwiches. During our wait our server brought us our receipt, requesting we complete a survey of his service-- which we found strange. Both sandwiches were well-made and tasted good, according to my girlfriend and her mother. I ordered the Bourbon Street Steak medium-rare and it arrived medium/medium-well on a hot skillet. The steak and garnish both tasted amazing and I was very pleased with the food despite the slow service. I didn't have any other complaints but I was underwhelmed by both the service and food. Terrible service!!! I ordered a chicken wrap.. No chicken to be found when I received the order.. I asked for manager n he said he take off bill n get another one which was great.. Then waitress comes back out.. I ask her if they getting another wrap n she said I don't need another one.. Took the plate of the bad wrap (with no chicken) and was very rude.. A manager comes out and then says I'm being loud .. I just asked for another wrap with chicken inside.. I never in my life been treated like this.. So disrespectful.. I took my wife here before some Greenville Tx Christmas shopping. We were promptly greeted and VERY well attended to. Our waitress loved my honestly silly Christmas shirt and told me so.
