Never been to this Applebees. I've ate a variety of menu items at Applebees over the years. My go to is the rack of ribs. First bite was dry & tough, tried another bite, I couldn't do it. Waitress came over & said she would talk to kitchen & come back & let me know. She gave me option of replacing with something else, try another rack or just take it off my bill. I have NEVER sent any food back to the kitchen. She came back & said they were going to make me another rack even tho I had decided to just have it taken of my bill. I tried to tell her but she just walked away. The manager brought 2nd rack comes out just as tough & dry. I took a bite right when she brought it. I know what their ribs are supposed to taste like, I get them ALOT, & always have enough for plenty of leftovers. Manager then said she would bring me riblets in exchange & comp my plate. The riblets were much better. The manager did a great job of making things right even tho it was a disaster of a night, took us 2 1/2 hours! Good food but holy shit did our waitress Rhegean made our experience quite unpleasant. My friends and I were coming in from a very taxing event and just wanted some downtime and real food after not eating much during the weekend. First, our waitress didn't even introduce herself but asked how we were, which we answered and to be polite asked about her. She immediately started to complain about working a double shift and just made all at the table very uncomfortable. She wasn't even being joking but genuinely seemed to hate her job. For some reason she brought up the fact she's getting a $600 tattoo in the next couple months and took her phone to show us what she was going to get. A Disney Themed dream catcher! Wow! The cultural appropriation and bastardization! Not to mention the fact that it's literally a way for the Anishinaabe people to capture negative energies, so she's really just going to be walking around soaking up all the misfortune around while having a hideous tattoo!! Cool, mind you we still haven't even been asked for our drinks. She also made one of my friends scoot in to sit down while she talked at us. We all hated this. This wasn't charming at all and if she was trying to get sympathy for hating her job to get more tips, this failed supremely. Not to mention she also struggled with taking our orders, forgot elements and when simple requests such as additional sauce were asked for,it took until her 4th time around to actually receive. The food was fine but I hope to not get her as a waitress again since she extremely diminished the experience for myself and my friends. Ordered a full rack of ribs with fries. The fries wete so salty I had to send them back My ribs were dry and chewey. Had to flag down my server "Owen" cuz it's was apparent he wasn't coming back to check on me after I ordered. I got him to come over after yelling his name across the room. Got my fries replaced with no problem but only because I called him over. You need to teach your servers to follow up with the customers. Your ribs are nothing to brag about. Continuously fails to properly grill a burger let along prepare an order correctly. Under multiple occasions (the latest being 4/29) Applebees hastings has made me throw away $12 cheeseburgers simply because they can't make an order correctly. Too bad you can't get a refund either. read more

As soon as my friends and I came in we were pushed off cause we were young(15) none of the waitresses wanted to help us, and even called someone else to help us that was in the back. Updating my review, because they have updated their menu. We went in recently, with several gift cards to blow. We weren't sure when we'd be back, so we went all out. Starting with appetizers, they stepped up their mozzarella stick game. They taste a little better than before, and not one was soggy. We also tried their pretzels with beer cheese, that was amazing. We dipped everything we could in the cheese once the pretzels were out. We chose the 2 for $20 menu for our entree. I had the grilled chicken penne, which was very filling and topped with fresh tomato and basil. My friend had the four cheese macaroni, which had a sweet style crispy chicken on top. My fiance had the chicken tender meal, which was about as good as chicken tenders can be. We also got extra fries, which were only $2 for a large platter, definitely worth it. My original score was 3 stars, because the steak was gristle and everything was half assed. Now, they have made a definite improvement and I plan on returning. Our waitress was amazing and patient, since we had to have three drinks, each, go back due to brown floaties of something. We declined the offer of having the manager come see us, though they are supposed to anyways, they offer a $5 off coupon on your next meal if the manager does not come to your table.
