Used to have a great cheesy sauce . Not this time. Barely any at all on the noodles let alone enough to cover . A bunch of dried breadcrumbs dumped on top. The chicken was chopped up and put on top of Mac and cheese under the breadcrumbs. Used to be larger pieces of grilled chicken that tasted very good. Not this time. This was not worth the $20. I ate about 5 bites . Took rest home to throw. Other entree was the chicken Parmesan sandwich. Chicken was on garlic bread ... it was saturated with garlic butter/ so greasy that it really was not good to eat. Sandwich would have been much better just on a regular bun. Our app of cheese curds is now Parmesan crusted cheese curds. They were ok but the original cheese curds were much better. We are really hoping that this was just an off night. We will try again in a couple months to see if things tip back to how railtown was. Very disappointing because we've been supporters of this restaurant for a long time. Not sure if whomever use to control the kitchen changed; but it is not the railtown we've known.

I ordered the nachos, they were solid, but honestly I'd get the sauce on the side... overpowered them a bit but they were still delicious. The fried chicken Sammy is to die for... and then let's talk about the beer. I tried the October fest or their version of one and it is great... I also switched it up and went for the blonde and then the milk stout. All are worth the price of admission.

They have a wide variety of beers and and when we spoke with the server, he told us the philosophy of Pigeon Hill is to brew quality beers with consistent quality. It's a pub, you would think all that stuff to be automatic. Second night (9 pm Sunday) I tried to go elsewhere because of my previous night's experience, but not many other options. Most of Alma was already closed. Tonight there was no music playing, so I was able to have a conversation. I had the olive burger with steak fries, my son had boneless wings with Thai sauce and waffle fries. Everything was very good, and a good value for the money.
