I arrived with my group, a total of 4 guest, around 9pm. We were greeted by the host who told us there was a 40 minute wait so we couldn't be seated because they closed at 10pm. A couple arrived after us, the host told them they weren't seating anymore. While my group and I sat in the waiting area (looking for a new place and waiting for our ride), two couples entered. Another worker approached the podium, and let them know the wait time was 15 minute.... 5 minutes ago it was a 40 minute wait. She proceeded to clear out tables and seat them. The first girl who greeted us approached us to ask if we were waiting to be seated which we replied "no" to because she told us we couldn't dine anymore. She told us since we weren't waiting to be seated, we couldn't wait in the waiting area.. even though we had already been sitting for about 20 minutes. Overall, she was very hostile and had a bad attitude with us. Although they have many signs on the entrance door about vaccination cards and mask, they didn't check ours or the two couples that were seated. read more

First time coming to Applebee's to try the all you can eat wings. The service was great and all, but the coleslaw tasted old. After I got home and 2 hours later my stomach started to sting and hurt like no other felt like food poisoning or maybe even like I ate something old. I am not the type of person to complain about everything but wow this place needs a true makeover with it's employees and their management. We had our drinks taken and after 35 minutes of waiting, we didn't even get our waters brought to the table. The waitress was very overwhelmed and there were a number of complaints to the manager as we were waiting. We actually got up and left after 45 minutes of no one attending our table. The hostess and young kids they have sitting in the front entrance are a total disturbance. They were sitting there chatting and "hanging out." This restaurant has great food but definitely needs to be on an episode of undercover boss so that things can get better. I've been to other locations where I can enjoy the service and the food. Terrible staff. Let's start with the hostess. She did not greet us when we walked in. She looked at us, grabbed 2 menus and walked into the bar. We stood there and wondered if she meant for us to follow her because she never said anything. Then she waved the menus in the air halfway through the bar, as if to say follow me. She popped the menus on a table and continued to walk towards the kitchen. We sat there for ten minutes and no one acknowledged us. We got up and left. As we approached the "hostess" I said, we decided to leave because our waitor never came to our table. Without any eye contact, she replied, have a nice day. My friend and I wanted to try out the Dollar Margarita since it's for the month of October. We walked in on a Sunday night around 8:30pm. To be honest, I haven't been to an Applebee's in yeeeeaaars. We were seated right away but our server didn't show up for about 30 mins. Servers kept passing by but no one stopped at our booth. We decided on the 2 for $20 (one appetizer and two entrees). The salad was delicious. Plenty of bacon and oh lettuce. The entree: garlic mash potato, broccoli, and chicken with beer cheese sauce, fried onion rings, and more bacon. Can't you see I love bacon? Haha chicken was moist. Food made up for the lack of attention. We ended our night with one dollar margarita. It smelled strong but was decent for the price. Would I go back? Maybe. this was my first time at an applebee's, i've heard tons of mixed reviews about it being good and bad, but my boyfriend has been begging me for 2 years to come here, so i finally gave in. most of my reason for wanting to come was that they have been advertising the $2 punch drink, which i was excited for. there was so wait, we came around like 9 so we were instantly seated which was nice! the waitress was very nice and friendly. i ordered the $2 punch of course, & it was extremely tasty, a little sour but i definitely would have ordered another one if i wanted more but i was content with one, so i highly recommend the $2 punch drink for march, and i loved the rainbow candy it came with! for appetizers we all got the pretzels with beer cheese sauce. i am a huge beer cheese fan so i was really excited to try it but instantly disappointed when it did not taste like beer cheese sauce, everyone else seemed to enjoy it though. the pretzels were really good though! for my meal i got the chips and queso, i wasn't too hungry but wanted to try theirs. the queso was ok, not the best but a little spicy in my own opinion but i could handle eating it. read more

I have to ask myself why I keep going back to this place with it's sub-par service and more sub-par food. I know why! It's because it is the suburbs and for whatever the reason is that businesses in the 'burbs tend to want to roll up the sidewalks in front of their stores and lock the doors as if the Boogyman somehow comes out after 11 pm. I found myself (yet again) at this particular Crapapplebees (how witty, I used a play on words... lol) after leaving a later movie at LaGrange Theater, now here is a town (LaGrange) that really knows how to roll up the party at 9pm, and since there wasn't much to be had at 10:30 I found myself pulling into a parking spot in said restaurant. With a deep sigh I exited my car in hopes that this would be one of the rare occasions where my time will be at least somewhat enjoyable, but was prepared for the usual worst. I did have one plus, it being 10:30ish on a weeknight I wasn't going to have to deal with teens that think the place is cool or parents and their whiny/crying ass kids. Yeah, right. Little at the time did I realize how wrong I would be. The usual custom where the greeter was ready to rip the door from your grasp to tell you welcome wasn't forth coming this time around and as I entered the establishment I quickly knew why. The greeter looked as if she just taken a hand full of Ludes (yeah, I'm keeping it old school here) and wasn't too thrilled to remover herself from the perch of the chair that was holding her up. But like a champ she somehow she did and showed my wife and I a table in quick walking distance just in case, you know, that she had to quickly sit. She mumbled something after depositing us (surprise, surprise, right next to a group of teens that thought this was a cool place to hang) and disappeared completely after that. Thankfully she had sense enough to leave the menus in her wake. The place was near empty and I was a little stupefied that it took more than five minutes for the waitress to come over especially with a table full of customers right next us. But when I saw that our waitress was also the clean up girl it all made sense. We decided to make it easy on her (the waitress) and the "cook" and we both ordered the same thing. The drinks came out promptly, however, I was on my second round of beer before the food (the Nar'leans Skillet) made it's way to the table. Before the food arrived the waitress went back to vacuuming duties with what they call a vacuum and the wife went to powder her nose (lol). Upon her (the wife) return I was informed of the high standard and quality of the bathroom where there was a large pool of water in the corner in the back stall from a leak. And after watching way too much "Kitchen Nightmares" and "Restaurant: Impossible" we weren't surprised by this or the fact that Crapapplebees wasn't sited for a fine or even shut down. The food, as to be expected, was sub-par. Somehow the "cook" (I use that term loosely) undercooked half the shrimp. Which is amazing since it is easier to over cook shrimp than it is to under cook. We quickly made our exit just before 11 when a family made up of mostly young children made their way to a table next us and the whining began. This place is OK for a chain (aren't they all) I have still yet to go to a chain restaurant that really knocked me off my feet. We went there for lunch as we had $5 burger coupons and I had the quesadilla burger which was a different spin on your ordinary average burger. The staff here was friendly but they seemed rather confused. We had three waitresses come over to our table to wait on us. We were wondering if this would create added confusion and we would get sub par service. They made a good recovery though and we had a decent lunch. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a weekend while doing some shopping in the are. One word. Sucks! Service was efficient, but far from hospitable. My son's burger was RAW.. not sure how they are okay with serving raw food to an eight year old! Food was less then good. The manager did do good by taking off the burger and giving us a discount. I placed an order for curbside to go and ended up running late and arriving 10 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. I clicked the link in my text message and assumed somebody would be out within a couple of minutes. More than five minutes later, nobody had brought my order, so I called them and the person who answered said they'd be right out. So obviously me clicking on the link in my text didn't notify anybody, and if I hadn't called them, who knows how long I would've waited. Do not, I repeat, do not go here when it is busy. Horrible service. We went on Labor Day and every server looked out of sorts and the manager working looked like she had no idea what she was doing. Most of the servers still looked like they were being nice to their tables, but were visibly flustered. Maybe they were shorthanded...but no one was doing anything to assist, certainly the manager was not helping expedite things. We sat at the bar and wondered where the bartender was for a very long time between ordering drinks and when we ordered food. And then it took forever for food to come out, so long that our apps and dinner came within 30 seconds of each other. We kept hearing servers going to the, slow as molasses, manager with their issues over and over and over. Just a complete mess service wise. The food was ok. Chicken caesar was average but tasty, the fish and chips was better than expected for a chain restaurant, the mozzarella sticks were eh, the quesadillas eh. The best item was the won ton tacos. Came in last night 2/7/18 around 7ish.. Cassia was my waitress.. Shes very nice and was welcoming. Very attentive to our needs , we ordered our food and everything came back very delicious. Food was excellent. From the beginning of our dining experience until the end everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating! The manager, Tonita, was one of the nicest and most professional that I've ever met. Our waitress, Dee, was attentive and caring. The food was fantastic but the service from our waitress and manager really made our visit a wonderful one! With this miserable Chicago weather I was in a really bad mood. Stopped at this Applebee's on a Saturday night and it was jammed packed. I am not a huge fan of Applebee's since their menu provides limited options for my highly restricted diet. Damn you, once again food allergies. I had the challenge of finding menu items that were neither, fried, greasy, nor drenched in cheese. Oh how I miss cheese. Anyways, I settled for raspberry ice tea and grilled chicken Caesar salad without cheese nor dressing. The raspberry ice tea was way too sweet. My mother who also ordered it had to send it back. To my surprise, the cooks did an above average job grilling the chicken breast. The rest of my family seemed satisfied with their orders. They ordered onion rings for an appetizer. How I wish I could have tasted them. Oh well, at least I do not risk a coronary. My dad ordered the riblet basket with fries.The fries were too salty but he found the riblets adequate. My mother ordered the creamy cajun steak & shrimp with roasted potatoes. She seemed to enjoy her entree the most. Finally, my cousin had the creamy Parmesan chicken. Again, no major complaints. For being a busy night, our waitress provided above average service. Horrible horrible place for decent HOT food, ordered a steak med rare got well done, plus the steak and broccoli and potatoes were cold , both our plates were the same way except my wife's plate was rare steak and cold as well, the only thing that came hot was the spinach and artichoke dip which the manager showed a defensive face when we're the one that had the cold food which I Can guarantee if she had cold ass food she wouldn't like it either , so we didn't trust the cook to reorder food from the same kitchen , the waitress was great and it wasn't her fault , but you would think the general manager would comp our food after we were starving to death And now we had to think where to go now when we haven't eaten all day . Bad manager , short Hispanic woman with a mean face and very unprofessional attitude, she's better off quitting her job .
