Horrible horrible place for decent HOT food, ordered a steak med rare got well done, plus the steak and broccoli and potatoes were cold , both our plates were the same way except my wife's plate was rare steak and cold as well, the only thing that came hot was the spinach and artichoke dip which the manager showed a defensive face when we're the one that had the cold food which I Can guarantee if she had cold ass food she wouldn't like it either , so we didn't trust the cook to reorder food from the same kitchen , the waitress was great and it wasn't her fault , but you would think the general manager would comp our food after we were starving to death And now we had to think where to go now when we haven't eaten all day . Bad manager , short Hispanic woman with a mean face and very unprofessional attitude, she's better off quitting her job . Just ordered desert from this place via delivery. I ordered the brownie bites. It's "bites" not bite. The smallest amount of a pathetic excuse for a "brownie". I also ordered the sundae shooter. We have been going to chillis for years. Wanted to try something new. Went in about 1 pm and the place was not busy at all. There was 4 waiters standing at the bar talking.we put our order in when it cam we had to ask for salt pepper ketchup amd mayo. This took 4 minutes. Then my husband ordered the ribs and so did my mother in law. They were dry and old 26.. for 2 half slabs of ribs with dry old mashed potatoes. this was the worst restaurant experience i have ever had. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and then waited another 25 minutes to even see a waiter or waitress. Manager didn't seem like she cared at all, went over to coworkers laughing like it was a joke. my boyfriend and i ordered the 2/$26, the bourbon chicken and pasta with chicken. The chicken tasted like they sprayed off bug spray on top and the pasta was cold. The hostesses were standing there laughing and making videos on their phone. I didn't know I had to look at my oriental ckn salad before I walked out of the restaurant (ordered online). It was the most disgusting salad I think I have ever seen. Brown salad - not even edible. I was waiting at the bar for two of my girlfriends to show up, and I'll be honest... I've never gone anywhere alone, so naturally I was nervous and so mad that they were taking forever. I'm not even from here, I live in Champaign but came town for the weekend. I was greeted with a genuine smile by a bartender named Amber and she was probably the nicest bartender I've EVER met (most bartenders are abrupt and rude). Trust me, I know what I'm talking about, I've been to quite a few bars in my lifetime. She made small talk w me (THANK GOD), and was joking with me whenever she'd come by and check in with me. We even started a bet over what time my friends would actually show up. Absolutely had a ball and can definitely come here alone and not feel like an oddball! The place was half full with office workers and groups of gals looking like they were heading o the local Kohls or Target that share the parking lot. We were greeted quickly and sat in the bar area where career chain restaurant waiter Wes took or order and served us in record time. The trick to a good experience here. Be clear, order basics, you are not at the Four-Season's Dining Room... We had the $20 buck lunch for two (chicken fingers/four sauces/cheese sticks) healthy? Hell no. Spoiled, rotten guacamole. I used to love this place for one reason. The Santa Fe Salad. It usually comes with their delicious gauc. This time it came with spoiled rotten guac. After telling the waitress, which by the way was amazing, friendly and very attentive, her name was Suzy, the manager came by and said "oh you didn't like the guacamole? I explained to her that is was spoiled and her response was that they're making a new batch and she'll bring some out to see if I like that instead. Sure enough she brings out more guac and it's spoiled too. Her response again was "oh you didn't like it". Does anyone want to pay for spoiled food??? I kindly told her again that it's rotten and spoiled and she shouldn't be serving it to her customers. Her response was that it was just made. I asked if she it could have been the avocados that were bad and she just stared at me like she didn't understand me. She rudely offered us free dessert. My boyfriend and I found ourselves having dinner here yesterday. The waitress was okay, she came to the table twice, she didn't seem interested in her customers. We received our food in a promptly matter. The food tasted great, I got grilled chicken and mashed potatoes and my boyfriend got the whisky burger. Why the two stars than? After being home for about 30 minutes, my boyfriend and I got violent food poisoning! Neither of us ate anything in the last four hours beside Applebee's. I had a great time and meal here, I will be honest the food is not top quality but my total bill came out to $30 for two people with dinner, appetizer, and drinks. The reason why I am leaving this review is because I ordered a steak but asked for no almonds on top, however it showed up with almonds. So I Instantly pointed that out, and the waitress apologized multiple times so I knew it was an honest mistake and offered another steak but I said it was fine. THEN the manager walked over and offered anything else we may want, once again I said I was okay but thanks. The staff was very rude and cold. I went in with a friend for dinner and drinks, upon us trying to order drinks the server told us that he needed to check our ID. After checking our ID's he kept reiterating that his manager needed to double check my ID because that was protocol. When the manager came to look at our ID's she began scanning and asking us to verify our address and zip code as if our ID's were fake. Yet, we were told our ID's were checked because that's just the protocol. I was in this place for all of 5 minutes. The server was very rude and snappy. When I walked into this location on Saturday night, I found it almost empty. In fact, during my whole visit, I did not see even one person sit at the bar. There were plenty of tables open and the place was as quiet as a library. Considering all the open tables, it annoyed me a little that the hostess wanted to seat my guest and me at the bar. We declined it and were offered a high table (which I'm also not fond of, as I'm a shorty) when there were plenty of booths and low tables available. The food was average to below average. The salad I ordered was very soggy and I sent it back. The chicken tenders basket was ho-hum. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was no different from frozen chicken tenders you can get at the supermarket. This place really is sad. I don't know how it stays open. I go here from time to time and I've always had a pleasant experience. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating! They recently remodeled and the ambience is much more open and relaxed. We went here yesterday for the happy hour 1/2 off appetizer special after 9pm and couldn't have been more pleased with our purchase and bill! My boyfriend got 3 appetizers and I got a meal and 1 appetizer and 1 drink and our total was 26 dollars. The happy hour special is definitely worth it. My sister ordered the trio appetizer plate and something happened with the order wherein it came out later than the rest of our food and they completely took it off her bill. That's 13$! We didn't even make a big gripe about it so way to go above and beyond, Applebees! Food was fresh and super tasty! Definitely get the chicken won ton tacos. Super Delish! read more

Ordered online for pick up inside. I set the time for 11:15 and I got there right on time. Knowing they open at 11 I'm ok with having to wait a few minutes for my food. The girl caylie behind the bar told me my food would be up in a few and for the wait she upped my drink to a large, totally unnecessary but I'll take it. Another gentleman who I'm assuming may have been the manager came out with my food just a few minutes later and informed me that he had them throw a few extra chicken tenders in because they were on the smaller side! We go to Applebee's often because it's good quality food great service for a great price but after today I feel like we should go more often than we currently do! First they brought the wrong food - no biggie finally they bring my burger it's rawr i took a bite blood was dropping out!!! ew!!! so again it gets sent back. If I could give 0 stars I would. My family of six and I went to have dinner. The waitress ever acknowledged us so I had to make myself visible and tell her that we had a party of six. She says, " ok. Would you like a nice size table or a booth"? Mind you, its six of us. I said, a booth please". She continues to say it'll be a wait. Never said how long of a wait we'd have. My family and I stopped in on a Sunday for a late lunch. The burger I ordered was sloppily presented on the plate....the plate was dirty around the perimeter and when we asked for a clean plate, she gave us one and we had to move our food to the clean plate ourselves.....our server had green nail polish (which I'm not opposed to) on her chewed-up nails and the polish was pealing and chipping. I normally would not notice this except that when presenting our beverages, she held the glasses by her fingertips. Needless to say, we all asked for straws. And - something that really bugs me: she kept on calling us "guys" ("what would you GUYS like to order"; "can I get anything else for you GUYS?"). There were females in our group and she was talking to us as if we were teens. Lesson learned: table service does not always equal better dining than McDonald's. read more
