ordered the an appetizer and it was okay! When we got our actual meal my boyfriend got steak and shrimp BOTH were cold and did not have any flavor he also ordered a side of Mac and cheese and the only thing that had flavor was the bacon. As far as my meal the mac and cheese I ordered with the honey chicken on top. the noodles had no flavoring and was cold. the only thing that was good was the drinks and the appetizer. when complaining the managed was unprofessional and gave us a crumpled up certificate like it was taken out of the garbage. read more

used to always come here with my friends and we know a couple servers well and we love them! but tonight was awful. Our server Ava brought our appetizers and didn't ask for our meal order until after we finished the appetizer. Didn't take away the dirty stacked plates when our meals came out. brought me the wrong food and when the right food came out the onion rings were obviously sitting under a heat lamp for way too long. all stuck together and hard as a rock. the pasta was fine but i was so annoyed because i love this location. drinks weren't asked if we needed refills when they were empty, sauces asked for while ordering didn't come out until way later. horrible service and uncontent with us. i mean seriously? finishing our appetizer and still having to wait 10 min after to put out food in. been here frequently and always leave happy but tonight ruined it for me! read more

Two nights ago I came into this establishment, and was greeted by two employees. One of them had a nasty attitude towards me, and one was super nice and willing to help me. I was informed our wait would be 40+ minuets and the way I was told made me feel like this employee who may I add was not in uniform did not want us to eat there and wanted us to find another place to go. She pretty much brushed off me and my family with a shoulder shrug and a too bad so sad attitude. The hostess offered to take our phone number down and send us a text when a table opened up. But with the way I was treated by her colleague made me decide to go to the 99s, where I was not treated in such way when I arrived there. I will not go to applebees ever again and 99s will be my new go to. read more

Boring, chain restaurant in the middle of Hudson. I have gone here a couple times with the Father-in-law and probably won't go again if he doesn't specifically suggest it. Ugh this place. I think i rather go to that funky Scottish place called MacDonald's or that ethnic Chihuahua place-Applebees is that bad. There is reason for me to root for this horrible chain, applebees and i have known each other for a long and historic time. Yes yes, we go way back. When i first started to actually pay for my food this was the upscale choice. My first car date was at applebees. My first legal drink, a long island ice tea was at applebees. We were in love. Then, something happened along the way. Oh i dont know, maybe it was me, maybe it was miss bees or maybe the world just changed us both. We just grew distant. Now we rarely see each other except from afar. But recently i was obligated to visit. More tv's than i remember. I counted 6(!!) within 5 sq ft-its getting absurd. The menu is huge, lots of colorful pictures reminiscent of a 3rd grade text book. The music and service is generic, inoffensive and forgettable. The food on the other hand is memorably bad. I had some steak stir-fry dish. It was slid under my face sizzling, popping, smoking. I felt a need to wash my steamed face afterward. The blazing show was over in less than 20 seconds which makes me curious about the cook waitress transaction. "ready, ok go, go go!!" My steak was silicone-like. A consistency that i can only imagine results from a microwave. The rice was lean cuisine quality. All in all my meal was as awful as the last time. Applebees is the worst of the chain restaurants. Great dessert - The Blondie thingy is awesome b. They air all the pay per view fights 3. The 3.50 22oz beers are a great One star for each, that makes 3. That how I count. Sat at the bar by myself on a Friday night. Ordered a burger and fry and a shot of fireball along with a beer. Ate my meal, drank my drinks then ordered another round. I sat at the bar and wrote, what's the beginning of a short stories series. I had been there for about 2 hours, and figured I'd order one more drink only to be cutoff by the bartender. Mind you I was just sitting there, I wasn't belligerent, I wasn't loud, I just wanted one more drink and it wasn't even for myself. While there a Brazilian man sat down next to me, we had a quick quiet friendly chat. They refused to serve us because the bartender didn't like the way he was talking to me??? "Hi, how are you?" Needless to say I will not be returning to Applebee's. Very bad service. read more

Steak, brocolli and mac & cheese. Salmon, mashed and Vegs. Last time here the Mac and cheese was almost the best I have had (just me - it was good). Today, just didn't hit the mark. We're fairly regular customers at Applebee's. We love the staff and the food. The food is what you'd expect from a chain., but have noticed they've really stepped up their game both food wise and service wise. Actually the main reason I am writing this is to give a huge shout out to our waiter who was working the tables by the pick up window. I'm kicking myself for not getting his name. My wife and I thought it would be fun to go out to Applebee's. We had our 13 year old autistic son with us. Sometimes there's no problem, but this time there was. He couldn't decide what he wanted (the menus are filled with info) so he got stuck and refused to order anything. His mom took him out to the car to try and calm him down. On the way out she told me to order everything so I did. Soon after, I got a text saying that it wasn't going to happen. I asked the waiter of we could cancel the order hoping it had gone in yet. It had. I explained the situation, and he said no problem this will be on Applebee's. I am going down in the next couple of days and thank the manager and try to give the waiter a tip. They made an already difficult situation so much easier. We go to Bee's because the staff is wonderful, and the food is excellent for the price. I stopped there last week. I haven't been there for a long time so I figured I would give them a try again. I was in the mood for some fajitas but was told they aren't on the menu any more. I had a margarita but I saw the bartender short poor the liquor. They use measured jiggers but I saw him short poor all of the drinks by only filling the jigger half way each time. The only thing I love on the menu is the chicken Wonton tacos. They used to be awesome but recently they aren't edible. There was no sauce on the chicken...just chicken. They stopped serving them with lime which is probably the most importance part of the Wonton taco. And it was total mush because of the amount of coleslaw they put on it and the time it took to get to us. This happens more often than not and quite honestly don't think I am going there again. read more

Went to Applebee's for dinner to take advantage of their calorie counts on their menu. Started out well with very hot and tasty tomato basil soup. Then we waited and waited and waited and finally came the wonton chicken tacos (delicious) but a steak ordered medium rare came very well done. After getting attention of the manager he agreed and said they would cook a new one right away. 15 minutes later he came by to tell us they were cooking a new one. When they finally brought a perfectly cooked one they left us with cold mashed potatoes and broccoli. They were free with their apologies but that was all they were willing to give. Poor service and poor restitution for mistakes. Our waiter offered to talk the manager into a free dessert. No thanks. read more

HORRIBLE. Ordered delivery late. Had hesitations because it was 9pm but my daughter said the restaurant was open until 11pm. The mac n cheese was penne with hardly any cheese sauce on it, the potato soup we couldnt even tell what it was supposed to be, the fried shrimp had shrimp that looked like it was 2 different orders- a few lightly fried and the rest over cooked, like they put someone else's food (who didnt finish their plate) in our order. It seemed like because it was a delivery order by door dash they didnt care but seeing the other reviews it looks like that is the overall attitude for this place. read more

Used to love Applebee's when they had the wood fire menu. Since they stopped it haven't been back since the menu is boring & unappealing. Same old stuff they had 5 yrs ago. We decided to get takeout this week & everyone wanted Applebee's. We got the family meal (said for 6) & what an epic fail. The Mac & cheese didn't have any cheese with five chicken strips. The oriental chicken salad have very little chicken that was cooked to a frazzle there were 2 little containers of dressing--barely enough for 1 salad let alone 2. The appetizer & bread sticks were ok. This. cost $58.& would not have fed 6 people. All in all felt ripped off. So done with that place! read more

Wrost experience I've ever had with Applebees. If i could give it no starts i would. I ordered online to make it easier to ask what i want the way i want it. Well i ask for a standard burger with no pink inside of it. The buger was all pink in the inside. I took one bite then throw it away. The fries were cold salted way to much there was a pound of salt on my fries. When my wife and i arrived there was 4 people standing around then we had to wait for one persone to come from the back to ask if we were all set. Im really upset. I WILL NOT RETURN AGAIN. read more

Where to begin, This restaurant has great prices for most meals and have AWESOME Desserts HOWEVER! I had ordered a steak here and IT WAS DEF NUKED! I ordered it med rare and the thing was black on the outside and light grey on the inside. It was almost as if they had made a mistake on someones order prior to mine, and when I ordered it they tossed it in the good ol' microwave for about 65 minutes. Then my friend had shrimp that def wasn't cooked and was feelin that later on if you know what im sayin. BUT it is DEF GREAT FOR DRINKS and FOOTBALL!!! Stopped by this location on a Friday afternoon just after 5pm (it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?) and found immediate seating at a high-top table near the bar. Great drink specials and fun environment to mix things up to start the weekend. The restaurant was clean, the wait staff was friendly, and the environment was fun - what more can you ask for in an Applebee's? If you're on the fence, definetly check this place out! read more

The food is applebees food, so nothing to do here... BUT every time I've been in the staff has been super friendly and welcoming and attentive. So, while I don't think their food is extraordinary (if you set the bar high for a chain then yes, expect to be disappointed), their service makes up for it. read more
