    Carne de Sol Nachos

I don't say is a 2 as in it's terrible, but as in it's definitely below average. To start, it seems like this place isn't quite sure what it is? It's a "sports bar and grill," so it's got burgers, wings, nachos. But it also has some Brazilian roots, so there's some items in Spanish like the carne de sol nachos, and yucca. Then, finally, there's pasta and other Italian inspired dishes for some reason?? The place itself was okay looking. Chairs and tables weren't anything crazy, they have one nook that does look nice, but I don't think people can actually sit there to eat. The design of the place seemed scattered like the menu. As for the service, definitely leaves something to be desired. We were seated pretty fast, but service was pretty slow. There was I'd say probably a pretty average amount of people and once we were seated more started coming in, but I wouldn't say it was super busy. We ordered our drink and food at the same time, but our server forgot to give us our drink (Diet Pepsi) and came by and asked if we needed anything so we let her know. Food took a bit (nachos and wings). They're system for knowing which tables ordered what seems messed up because our server came by and had to ask what the name for our table was. The food was mid. Nachos has pretty little salsa and not that much carne. Definitely not enough cheese. The wings were o-k. They came really dry, so I asked for extra buffalo sauce, and they gave me some straight from the fridge I guess cuz it was really cold. The nachos were definitely not even close to worth $18.

Tonight was our first time visiting 158 Garage Sports Bar & Grill in Worcester, we started with a Mango Caiparinha and some light and crispy calamari. For the entree, we had the meat lovers kebab, which included pork sausage, sirloin, bacon wrapped chicken, farofa, vinegarette, yuca fries, and grilled cheese. I loved the presentation and was so much food. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Natalie, our waitress was super helpful in helping us make descions on what to eat, the chef executed all dishes! Never being in this space before, it's a large open concept, with cute decor and very clean. We were completely stuffed but decided to take the pavlova dessert to go. Can't wait to return!

Must visit if near Worcester MA.

Incredible food and great service! We enjoyed the amazing sliders on homemade cheese rolls accompanied by caramelized onions, crispy chicken wings with sweet chili sauce, and grilled mozzarella! This is GREAT bar food!!

I ordered the Greek chicken piccata... Outstanding... Tl one of my favorite all-time restaurants in Worcester was Viva bene where this is located now... Great addition... Really remade the inside and it's really nice... Looking forward to coming back here

Only knew about this place by driving by - came on a Thursday night around 6 and there were not too many folks inside despite being on Commercial directly across from DCU (the night of a Railers game) so we were a little wary. However our experience was top notch. Greeted immediately upon entry, we sat at the bar and were quickly served drinks. The ambiance and lighting inside are nice - though the decor is kind of an odd combination of garage-esque homage pieces and a sort of a Mediterranean vibe? Like barrel light fixtures mixed with industrial over-bar lamps, but then these wooden lattice partitions and wall hangings to match with a lot of plants about. Ample TV's - but all playing the same college basketball game that no one seemed to be watching. So between the name - garage +bar+grill, but kind of mismatched decor and no one really in watching sports and no variety on the TV's - it feels like this place just needs to iron out it's identity . All the furniture looked new - it was impeccably clean - and our steak flatbread was AWESOME - so I can see this evolving once the word gets out to a great stop before a DCU event or night about downtown. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu - the guys next to us have ordered several things and demolished them - great wordless endorsement!

We were thirsty and looking for a quick bit, and happened upon the Worcester Beer Garden. It has very pleasant outside dining area, ideal for a drink and some interesting bar food. The menu options include dishes such as: Pierogis $11.00 Nachos $16.00 Quesadilla $14.00 Bavarian Pretzels $9.00 Pickle Chips $9.00 We opted to share a corned beef roll. I'd like to provide more detail, but their website menu page isn't working, and it's difficult to find a menu for them. Prices may not be up to date. We thought the roll was very tasty, albeit somewhat heavy. My beer was excellent, and the wine was cold and refreshing according to my co-diner. The waitress was excellent. It wasn't busy yet, but it was getting busier. They have games here (putting, corn hole, etc.) and on busy nights open up a pavilion area with a giant tv screen. We had a pleasant respite from the heat and look forward to returning to what they say is the largest patio area in Worcester. 3.5 stars rounded up to four for the venue and service on this visit.

Everyone was just kind of hanging out separately but together, the only weird thing was the servers had trouble finding numbers of tables- but eventually they found us! It honestly was quicker service than expected. The food. THE FOOD. Amazing. I started with the soft pretzel and it was amazing. It was warm, soft, chewy and perfectly salty. It was a deep dark brown and very large. They served it hanging and with cheese and mustard sides. It was great. For an entree I ordered the chicken pesto quesadilla. Floored. It was crispy, and delicious. The pesto was really well balanced, and I love the sour cream and lettuce on the sides. This came with a side of queso too that was straight from heaven. We didn't get any napkins at the table so it was a little greasier than expected but overall great. This place is over an hour away from our house- and we are planning to come back just to eat here.

I had fun, sang a bunch, then decided it was time to go. Bill came to $42. I took my card, slid the slip back across the bar WITHOUT SIGNING IT and handed the bartender $65 IN CASH, and did not ask for any change back. Two days later, I checked my account. Not only was there a charge for $42, but another charge for $33. Ok, no big deal, the place was busy, mistakes happen. I called the number listed when I googled the bar. Had to leave a message. They don't have a website, so I went to their facebook page and sent a message via messenger. I gave a detailed account of what I drank, what the bill was, the last four digits of my card number, and the two charges despite my having paid in cash. They left it read, but did not respond. I contacted the karaoke DJ, who is a friend of mine and asked if he knew how to get ahold of anyone over there. He offered to stop by that night and speak to whoever was working and inquire about the situation. He reported back that he told the bartender there about it, and asked for someone to contact him. A week goes by. Crickets. I call and leave another message. I send another Messenger message. It gets read again, but still no response. I contact my bank and dispute the charges. I contact my friend again who again goes up there and asks for someone to get back to one of us. Nothing. July 14th I send yet another message, saying that I could see that the others had been read, and asking why they aren't responding. Interestingly, it does not show that it has been read. Left another message today. Such an easy thing to remedy. A simple apology and offer to correct the mistake is all that was needed. I tipped very nicely, was polite and friendly. I have never caused any issues there, and always treat the bartenders respectfully. So why couldn't they just call me back? Own your mistakes!

We visited on a Monday morning around 10 am and I thought for sure I was going to a diner. Nope. There's a diner there, but you go in a door next to the diner, I could see the empty diner as I walked by (see picture), but you're pretty much going into a barroom that serves breakfast (see picture). There's a bar with seating around it and a bartender/server behind the counter and all the liquor on shelves. My first thought was it smells like someone has been smoking in here. We grabbed a high top and our server came over with menus and we ordered shortly afterwards. I ordered my usual eggs over easy, corn beef hash, home fries and wheat toast, my husband ordered as omelette and home fries. Our meals were meh, the home fries were dry af and the corn beef hash was un memorable. This is a pretty popular place and we were trying to figure out why? We decided it has to be that they serve alcohol. As we were leaving my husband mentioned the stank of cigarettes so I knew it wasn't only me who could smell it. I gave the stars for the service as I wouldn't go back.
