Today at applebees is super busy and the waiter is trying hard but there seems to be NO team work. I asked a hostess who was doing NOTHING for a refill for my son and she was rude as HELL. I love that this place is open late. I love that they have a pretty nice drink special (wish I could remember what it is). They also have a happy hour special- You have to get a drink, but then you get cheap appetizers, too (half price, maybe?). I don't usually do the appetizer special, though. I usually like to get chicken or a steak. The fiesta lime chicken was always pretty tasty. I've had steaks that were tolerable (emphasis- tolerable, no more than that, really). The last steak I had there was some sort of parmesan srimp and steak. I usually don't do the stuff on my steak, but I did, and the steak was horrible. It was incredibly fatty and flavorless. Normally when I come to Applebee's the service and food is just okay. Tonight was the opposite. The all day brunch burger is amazing. It reminded me of eating the hangover burger at bunion's casino in Las Vegas. I added lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. It is in my top 5 of best burgers of all time. My experience here was bad from the get go...from astoundingly slow service, to chicken being in the vegetarian tomato/basil soup (that a vegetarian had ordered), to sitting for a good 20 minutes after our plates we taken waiting for our bill, to the waitress not returning my card to me and having to return the next day to pick it up. I am pretty easy going about service and feel like the first couple of times I had to ask for something more than once (a clean knife, a straw etcetc) was okay. I get it. But the fact that at 3pm when there was barely anyone in the place and every request was forgotten or messed up....just wasn't acceptable. My friends & I decided to go to applebee's tonight to enjoy the new $1 drinks and their 12.99 boneless wings special. When we got there the restaurant was about 75% full, however there were plenty of open tables and booths. The host took about 5 minutes to walk over to us, but we weren't worried about it. Our server was quick to come over and take & deliver our drink orders. When we asked her a question her response, repeatedly, was "it works just as it says." never actually answering our question. It took about 15 minutes to get us our side salads and an additional 10 for our 2 orders of wings. I live close by so I frequent this location to watch some Big 10 games. I always sit in the bar area and the service has been subpar. I've only had one server who did not only a good job, but a great job! Wish I remembered her name, but it's been a few months. The food is always pretty good, but it doesn't come out in a timely manner usually. The car side Togo is usually always on time though. If management cleaned the place up some and expressed to the servers or taught some to have better customer service it would be a great place. Food was great, but Danielle was a horrible waitress! Hope she realized we did not appreciate her inability to waitress when we left her no tip. Had to ask multiple times for items. Silverware, oh, I had to go find someone to get it for us after we already had our food for several minutes. Had to ask twice for a box for leftovers. She put all our orders on one check, then she had to correct it. She spent most of her time chatting with the party at the table next to us. Very poor service!!! Visited this Applebees with a group of co-workers for dinner. I haven't been to any Applebees in forever, mostly due to the same kind of issues we experienced tonight. Service was slow, despite the almost empty restaurant when we arrived. Our server needed constant reminders that we'd like drink refills, or that we would like to order food. Things did improve after mentioning to another server the problems we were having. Still, some of the food arrived to the table cold, I ordered my steak prepared medium and it was cooked well done. Eat here if you don't care what you're eating. I have been going to this applebees for years, and slowly they have driven me away and finally I am no longer going. The service is fine, but their food is super high in sodium and very high in calories. They had a couple dishes that fit within a healthy calorie diet and they were neatly contained in a low calorie menu. That worked for me quite nicely, and I went there because of that. Recently they did away with this menu, spread the low calorie items among the other items and discontinued the meal I ate most often. I tried, but it is a total pain to seek out and try to have an idea of exactly what you are eating here. I often brought groups of four+ on my suggestion. I tried calling and talking to a manager on a Wednesday evening, and sat listening to static on hold for 10min before giving up. I'm sure they will stay in business, but they have lost mine. I order the Full Rack of RIbs Dinner to go , get home the Ribs are tough as can be I mean I never had Ribs this tough to break apart in my life , once I bite into the Ribs it's was even worse so I immediately look to see if the Ribs had been thoroughly cook and from what I can tell they hadn't .my guess they didn't prep the ribs & rush the ribs once I order them which you can't do or you'll get the results I got tough hard to eat Ribs!!!! I've come to expect that Applebee's is just a boring place with average food. My waitress was nice, but made sure I knew she was shocked when I ordered an appetizer AND food for just myself. Spinach Artichoke Dip - the burnt cheese on top covered a very bland and soupy dip. Not much flavor to it. My dinner was the Mac and Cheese with some sort of Chicken Strips on it. While I don't recall the actual title, I was well pleased with it - even if they gave me a tough breadstick on the side. I have always heard that "you get what you pay for". I always go to this location and we always make sure to sit in the same section as our favorite waiter who is usually the bartender or in the bar area. Tonight he was the bar tender and the bar was packed (he's a pretty popular server). So tonight we sat in normal seating with someone new. As the night went on, we knew about the Free Appetizer if they did not suggest a gift card. We both paid attention to see if this was mentioned. At the end, we pointed out that it was never mentioned and the waitress we had wanted to argue about this at first. I was ready to forget it, then she admitted that she may have forgotten but the promotion was no longer valid. P.S. I read the terms at the bottom already and it is valid until the 5th. Haven't been to Applebee's in awhile, daughter got straight A's and got a free kids meal coupon. We enter and greeted immediately. Waited a minute for a table to be cleaned off (my daughter asked for a booth and they made sure they got us one). Seated rather quick and waited for a waitress to come. I wish I would've gotten her name but she was very friendly and was training with a gentleman named Ryan. They took drink orders then got them. Ordered appetizers (half price before five). Quesadillas are amazing, filled with meat and cheese with sour cream, pico, and salsa on the side. Took a minute to order our dinner but she was very busy between training and having so many tables (Friday night). Baby ordered cheeseburger, fries. Husband ordered the 2/$27 got me the chicken and shrimp with potatoes, steak for him with fries and grilled veggies, with two Caesar side salads. I noticed one of the reviews basically said to not expect too much because it's only Applee's. I don't think that's right. The quality is usually pretty decent and it's not a cheap place to eat. Saturday night, we tried the any two appetizers and got pretzel sticks & beer cheese and fried green beans. Only 2 pretzel sticks? Come on. And the amount of the green beans was minimal as well. They tasted fine, just not worth the $9.50 we paid. The wife ordered the sirloin, medium, and it came back almost raw. After sending it back, they returned the same piece of meat well done. We didn't say anything, but the manager actually came over and noticed it well done and apologized. It took so long to bring her repaired meal out, I was done by the time she started. Took my daughter to Applebee's for her birthday. We had a delightful server. The music was so loud that we could hardly hear each other. I asked our server if they could turn it down and she agreed that it seemed loud. After 20 minutes with no change in volume, we asked again. Our server said she had asked the bartender to turn it down and would ask again. Then she came back and said that the bartender said it was turned down as low as it would allow. What a load of crap!!! I ordered the Fiesta Lime Chicken which was delicious. They always add a wedge of lime on the plate, which I like to squeeze over the rice. However, as usual, the lime was so dried up that I could only get two drops of juice out of it. Both my kids opened their silverware to find them dirty and we had to ask for new sets of silverware. yo whats up ive been to this place hella times and for the most part its pretty good as long as you dine in. service and food are great, however it seems like everytime i decide to order here through doordash something goes wrong so badly that i simply cant order online here ever again. everytime ive ordered online from this place the food is cold, luke warm, like someone just threw it into the microwave or let it sit out for 20 minutes. not only that but i had certain time where i ordered just wings and a cheeseburger only to have my delivery driver park in my driveway then suddenly realizes she's forgotten half my order... goes back only to come back like 30 minutes later still without half my order. although i'm sure this was the drivers fault as the app lets you see exactly where the driver is at, at all times and she was in some neighborhood 5 miles away while she was "getting the rest of my order" so basically delivery here sucks they always mess it up but dine in is ok read more

Trash is the only way to describe this location. When I first walked in the door I could smell an odor similar to yeast. We did get seated very quickly. However, our waiter didn't come to our table until about 8 minutes after we were seated and the place was not busy at all. We places our drink and food orders together. It then took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. Just ordered a Pepsi, water, and lemonade. No specialty drink. I finally got my food. I order s the chicken wonton tacos. I know that they have coleslaw on them but the chicken was cold and the shells they came in were pale and not even Cooked. I sent it back and asked for hot food. My husband and sister ordered wings and they weren't hot either. When I got my food back, they left the coleslaw off and the chicken was still cold. I told the server and her response was " oh well we don't make food hot!" Umm excuse me?? Who the heck wants to eat food food that's supposed to be hot ?? I was frustrated at the point and just left and sat in the car until the others finished their food. Oh yeah. So my fiancee and I call Applebee's last night 9-14-18 around 10pm to get carryout and the lady that answered the phone told us that, there was no carryout tonight.. That we had to come in and order it at the bar.. So we drive up there and we walk in, the bar was so dirty with plates and dirty glasses all over the bar top, we didn't even want to sit down on the stools.. The bartender immediately acknowledged us and moved the dirty glasses and plates and said she would be right with us.. Once the bartender was free, she asked for our ID's, we told her we wanted to place an order to go, and that we were told over the phone that we had to come to the bar to do so.. She then, rolled her eyes and looked over at the employees and lady manager that was not doing anything and said here are some menus I'll be right back to take your order... We decided on what we wanted and then the bartender came over and we asked her "was it the manager that answered the phone when we called" and she said "I'm not sure, but they sure aren't doing anything". "They should have let us place the order over the phone".. The bartender was great, she just wasn't getting any help with cleaning the bar or dirty glasses on the bar top. She was working the bar by herself with a full bar and also half of the restaurant to make drinks for.. The lady manager came behind the bar several times and never even attempted to help the bartender out at any point. Then our food was brought out by the Lady manager, and we were missing a couple condiment items, so we asked the bartender to get them and she was happy to do so.. We left the bartender a 15 dollar tip for all the trouble she is going through..
