My experience at the District Tap has been a positive one!! I usually get one of their wraps and today I got the District Club but in wrap form with sweet potato fries. I hadn't had their lunch special before but for only $14.50 you get an entree, side and a drink! I think that's a pretty legit offer. My partner got the chicken nachos and the portion was ginormous! The service was fantastic! Our waitress was attentive and funny too! She checked on us various times and even joined in singing a bit when we were jamming out to the Avril Lavigne song that was playing LOL District tap is always a cool and casual vibe. Not a good place for large groups. Our food was ok. My buffalo salad was average . Quesadilla was decent. We didn't get any drink refills , our server provided minimal service. Took forever to get our bill , never got drinks refills. Bills were messed up and I ended up getting charged for another bill on my credit card. read more

I love letting my alumni pick out a place to have a summer meeting, I just say please no fast food, and we have to save st Elmo's for when you graduate. Went to District Tap for the IU championship game and it was so fun! Loved that the bar was big and lots of seating with many TVs and a large projector. Service was great with the bartenders refilling my water even after I closed my tab. The food was okay and wished it was warmer, especially the chori-queso dip. The bread pudding bites were really good, but have a strong cinnamon flavor. Tots & Paws We attended the Tots & Paws charity event last year at district tap and when they had another event this year we couldn't miss it. The theme was 1920's Gatsby and it was so fun seeing everyone dressed in their best attire. The night was made incredible by organizers Teree Bosso and Heidi Whicker of Tots & Paws. Tots & Paws raised over $1,000 at the door and collected more than 300 toys. Cash bar was available as well as complementary hors d'oeuvres. After a long day and an even longer nap, I was craving salmon and with the timing, this was the only place close by having that option. I looked online and it says you all closed at 1, the automated phone message also said you close at 1. I arrived right at midnight and on th door it said you all closed at midnight. I called and waited to get through to a person and he said that the change happened about 6 months ago. It was just extremely frustrating to get all the way up there and see the the information was wrong. Came here for an event and was pleasantly surprised by how great the party room is--it's spacious, versatile, and perfect for everything from a rowdy sports crew to something as classy as a rehearsal dinner. The service was top-notch, and the staff handled our group with ease. During the NBA playoffs, they had the game audio playing throughout the restaurant, which was such a nice touch--especially for us since we were here for a referee association meeting. We love going to District Tap for both the food and the beer selection. They have a wonderful covered patio and open outdoor seating as well so on a nice day, I highly recommend sitting outside! My go to order is the left coast chicken club as a wrap with fried chicken substituted for grilled. I also like to get a side of honey mustard for dipping. My husband really loves their wings and we've also tried their southwest egg rolls for an appetizer. All of the food comes out hot and fresh. Both their sweet potato fries and their regular seasoned fries are delicious, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside like fries should be! Their beer list is varied and they get new beers in pretty frequently. They have a nice selection of local brews of all styles as well as beers from the standard and widespread breweries as well. The District tap is always a good idea. I mean they have a patio, fireplace, indoor area, and full menu and bar. When you walk in you can be seated immediately in the regular dining area or at a bar top. Customer service is always good! My friends and I were just bar/drink hopping and decided to stop in on a whim. They had the biggest screen I've ever seen in my life playing the March Madness tournament. We were also in a huge comfy booth just adjacent to the giant screen. When I tell you I just wanted to lay down and get so cozy in the booth watching TV...especially after we tried some desserts. We didn't order food since we had eaten at the stop before but it looked like had lots of delicious options on the menu. We did, however, order dessert. The bread pudding bites were warm, carmely pillows that tasted exactly like the fair. The vanilla bean ice cream with it was so good. I don't even really like ice cream but they were so good together. We also tried the brownie sundae. It was also good but not as good as the bread pudding bites. The drinks were good but this is definitely a beer place over cocktails. I did love the mocktail options since I was a little over drinking by that point of the night but still wanted to participate in the fun. Normally love coming here and sitting at the bar. We came in for Valentine's Day and luckily found openings at the bar. We were being served by Mady S. At first she was doing great. Attentive. We had drinks and ordered food. But after the food was served she just disappeared. She was gone for a long time. When she came back she was running around cleaning up. I'm sure she was stressed but a few times she looked right at me trying to get her attention and kept running around. At one point there was a guy at the end of the bar she was talking with for a long while. Seemed like a friend or something I dunno I wanted to order another drink and finally she was at the computer right in front of my seat so I got a chance to ask for another drink (buffalo trace old fashioned.) She took a long time to make it and came back and clearly didn't use buffalo trace. I guess she forgot what my first drink was. Decidedly OK I visited The District Tap, for the first time in several years, with my sister. While our experience was decent I can definitely say that TDT has declined slightly since last time we visited. One thing that was surprising was the quality of the cocktails. I had to order mine several times in order to get something that was palatable. Perhaps that's my mistake for ordering a cocktail in a beer bar. Our server was very very friendly but sadly not too attentive and also the service In general was overall slow. Our food was very good, but because it took so long to get to us it was served warm, but not hot. I don't think these are unforgivable crimes, and a few tweaks can take TDT back to it's previous standard. I'd say give them a try, and decide for yourself. read more

The District Tap is a good beer bar. They have a pretty extensive beer menu. They also have a lot of TVs and sports packages. The service has always been good to me. The food is a step above Applebees. Honestly, I think they need to cut the menu in half and that could help the food quality. I'm always on the lookout for a good Buffalo chicken salad - my go to has always been Chili's but since they've closed the 2 locations near me, I've been looking for a replacement. I think I found it at the District Tap. To begin with our waitress was great. She kept our drinks topped off and allowed us to linger at our table to catch up on old times. My Buffalo chicken salad arrived - lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and red onions tossed with a Buffalo ranch dressing and topped with fried Buffalo chicken tenders. Would really recommend this place! Great ambiance of music and TV, without being too obtrusive. The service was quick and friendly. Our server gave us great recommendations. I ended up getting the Buffalo chicken sandwich with tots. The table got the Buffalo cauliflower bites, dumplings, salmon pene, General JC's chicken, and the smash burger. The main concensus was great, the only call out from the whole table (and why I went 4* not 5*) was the salt. Everything was VERY salty. If you like salt, this place is for you.
