2.15.26 came here for a special event in the big side room. The event included mimosas, and attendees could order individually off the menu. People near me got a pizza and loaded tots that looked great. My friend and I went all out and ordered filet sliders, the daddy Mac 2.0, a big salad, firecracker shrimp, and tuna sashimi. (See pics.) It was all absolutely delicious. #yum #ReviewsByRL

I love letting my alumni pick out a place to have a summer meeting, I just say please no fast food, and we have to save st Elmo's for when you graduate. So they picked out the district tap, I had been before, but it had been a minute. Staff was very friendly! I had a great virgin mojito, French onion soup and potstickers! So savory and delicious, and my kids enjoyed their food and dessert! Great time! Need to go back soon with adults to enjoy the bar :)

Went to District Tap for the IU championship game and it was so fun! Loved that the bar was big and lots of seating with many TVs and a large projector. Service was great with the bartenders refilling my water even after I closed my tab. The food was okay and wished it was warmer, especially the chori-queso dip. The bread pudding bites were really good, but have a strong cinnamon flavor. Overall, the ambience was amazing during the game and will definitely come back to watch any future sporting events!

The hostess was clueless regarding table options... but our server and bar staff made up for it. The food was good and well managed with floor staff assisted by kitchen staff. The floor management here is tops, even TV channels and volume changes with request due to our proximity to speaker. I got the Bulleit Burger which was well prepared and assembled with care. My bride had Chicken Club and my daughter ordered a French Onion Soup which was big, beer brothed and delicious. Really nice. We got the SW egg rolls which were not stuffed much, but avacado made up for it. The big Pretzel was very good with beer cheese and ranch dip.

We visited The District Tap before a comedy show at Helium, and it was a great spot--super close to the venue, with a fun and welcoming vibe. I had the Indy's Cheesesteak with tater tots. The tots were great, but the sandwich was a bit dry for my taste--I prefer some sauce on the bun. My husband ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza, and it was massive and delicious. He also tried the Tart Temptation cocktail, which tasted just like a blue Sweet Tart--really fun. Our server Fernanda was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations for our first visit. Would definitely come back next time we're in Indy! even shorter version for a quick mobile review!

Tots & Paws We attended the Tots & Paws charity event last year at district tap and when they had another event this year we couldn't miss it. The theme was 1920's Gatsby and it was so fun seeing everyone dressed in their best attire. The night was made incredible by organizers Teree Bosso and Heidi Whicker of Tots & Paws. Tots & Paws raised over $1,000 at the door and collected more than 300 toys. Cash bar was available as well as complementary hors d'oeuvres. The night was made even more memorable by the photographer on site especially for the event's attendees. Can't wait until the next event!!

Our waitress was attentive and diligent. The interior is well designed, though the bathrooms could use more frequent cleaning. The food is typical American bar food, like a slightly higher-end Applebees. They could work on their expo; almost nothing came out hot. My mashed potatoes arrived lukewarm and stiff :(

The pretzel was 10/10 and the buffalo chicken wrap was 11/10. If you have to get a side, you must get the French fries. They are so crispy. My hubby said the wings compared to a sticky Korean wing - he said good, just not his cup of tea.

Love making trips to TDT! Think I've been for just about every type of occasion and had a great time. Work lunches, birthday dinners, colts/pacers game days/nights, dates, you name it. My food has always been really good! Love the burgers, wings, Mac n cheese & most recently have fallen in LOVE with the tacos! I usually go to the one in Keystone the Crossing & I love the way it's set up from the outdoor patio area, to the comfy seating & tables and the open bar seating in the back for big parties.

Came here with a few friends to catch the basketball game and overall good vibes! Plenty of seating, service was reliable and good, and food was good too. I appreciate that there is plenty of seating inside and parking outside as well. We quickly found a table as the waitress came over to attend to us. I ordered the The Tap Mac Bowl and it was so good. Cheesy goodness and the breadcrumbs on top were perfect. Added bonus was the breadstick. Overall, reliable service and good food. Will be back to catch more games!

Good overall experience at the Tap. I thought the grilled salmon, vegetables, and mashed potatoes were very well done. There is a huge selection of really good draft beers as well. Only thing I didn't like was we were sitting outside and there are times the music gets turned it so loud that it's hard to hear the person next to you.

I started here for the Black Girls in Real Estate conference which was great and very informative. I went back to have lunch. I was greeted both times. During lunch, we were seated. It wasn't that busy but I kid you not, it took about 10m before our server came out. I had to ask someone at the front if we were going to be helped. I ordered nachos and fries. The fries were piping hot but my nachos were cold. They also forgot to put chips on my nachos. No big deal, they ended up bringing some out.

Over my various visits I have tried a burger, a quesadilla, some appetizers, and finally sushi. Definitely the sushi was the best meal I've had here. I ordered a crab Rangoon roll and California roll. While I thought the California roll was just average, the crab Rangoon roll was excellent! I would definitely order it again. From our booth near the bar we could see water dripping down from the ceiling onto the floor and a couple of other nearby booths. A few employees were cleaning up the water but I wondered what the source of the water was since it had not been raining. Service has always been good enough here. Not excellent, not poor, but good enough. I'll definitely stick with the sushi on my next visit.

We ordered a specialty sushi roll to start and we were impressed with the quality. Our only complaint was the table's soy sauce tasted a little weak. I decided to try their All American Mini Burgers and they did not disappoint. The burger meat was tasty and well seasoned and each small double burger was perfectly assembled with their special sauce and pickles. I especially liked that since they were slider style, they were easy to eat and had a nice ratio of meat, toppings, and soft bread. My husband ordered the wings and said they were on par with other bar style wings in the area. No disappointments there! The tap and cocktail menu was extensive and I appreciated their mocktail menu as well, which offered several options for anyone avoiding alcohol. The restaurant has a great covered patio area open to the outside and another room with the main bar and plenty of tables and booths if you prefer AC. Our service was crazy fast and we had multiple servers check in with us at the right times to make sure we didn't need anything. Drink refills arrived at the table without us even asking and we really appreciated how efficient and friendly the service was, it really stood out!

I always order the Cuban when a new restaurant has one on the menu, and Big Lug's did not disappoint. It was juicy, flavorful, and one of the better Cubans I've had in a while. On my second visit, I went with the blackened cod tacos on corn tortillas (you can also get flour tortillas, and they offer shrimp and breaded fish options). They were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Both visits I ordered the spicy garlic cauliflower, and it was outstanding. The homemade blue cheese dressing took it to another level. If you're on the fence about ordering it, don't be--it was one of my favorite things on the menu. The outdoor walk-up bar creates a really cool, laid-back atmosphere, making it a great place to relax whether you're meeting friends or just enjoying a meal by yourself. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and both meals came out quickly. I don't usually eat at the same restaurant twice on a trip, but Big Lug earned it. If I'm back in the area, it'll definitely be on my list again.

We sat right in the middle of the main thoroughfare and were completely ignored for at least 15 minutes before we finally flagged someone down. The guy, "H," apologized and said, "Oh, my bad--it's all good." We figured, no big deal, let's move on. We ordered pretty simple food, apps and were then going to put in some entrees once apps arrived. We asked for waters and a water bowl for our pups. He brought two waters--with no straws--and no dog bowl. We assumed he was going to grab the bowl, so we waited... and waited. Then I noticed him at the end of the bar leaning against some boxes, texting. So I finally got up, interrupted him and asked for the dog bowl. His response, "oh my bad." Our appetizers came out, and naturally, we asked for silverware. A few minutes later, I spotted "H" in the corner on his phone again. At that point I was thinking, seriously?! So I got up again, interrupted "H's" text convo and asked for silverware. His response again was, "Oh, my bad." I didn't respond to him I just turned around and went back to my seat. Honestly, the whole experience started feeling more like a self-serve restaurant than table service. It's a chill spot and we weren't being needy whatsoever. We never asked for any refills- we were merely asking for the basics. We wanted to order more food, but by that point we were pretty turned off and decided to just get the check. Then came the final straw: my guy had his license and credit card sitting on the table because he hadn't brought his wallet out for our monon trek. When "H" came back with the checkout thing, without question or hesitation - he grabbed the card and swiped it. We didn't even realize what happened until afterward. Maybe that's standard there, but I've never had a server just take my card without asking. Usually you get a "hey do we want to use this card? Or something to confirm. And of course the tip structure is skewed so the min is 20% unless you want to try to figure out to manually enter in 15% (which most ppl don't -incl my guy), so we left 20% and left irritated and still hungry. "H" didn't seem hungover or anything--he just genuinely seemed like he did not not give a shiiiit. We had to get up three separate times to get things we had already requested: the dog bowl, a couple straws, and silverware. (Basics) And a quick note on the 7-Layer Hoss Dip: don't expect seven layers. It comes in a small thick ceramic bowl and was basically beans, guacamole, a tiny bit of corn and some hard cheese on top. Definitely would not recommend it. Way too "beany" and not worth $16 at all. The southwest rolls were decent- very fried tho. Cheesecake Factory's are better ;) The location and dog-friendly atmosphere are great, with the exception of the homeless camp right at their patio entrance, but unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Hopefully this was just an off night, because Big Lug has a lot going for it.

Turns out the entire heated patio is first come, first served, and we were seated almost immediately. It was one of those windy Indiana afternoons where the cold finds every gap in your jacket. I fully expected to spend lunch shivering. Somehow, the heated patio felt warmer than the restaurant itself. Between the TVs, football on every screen, and the patio heaters, we had zero complaints. Now let's talk about the famous pepperoni-stuffed breadsticks. They're a must. And order your own nacho cheese. Seriously. Don't expect anyone to share. I could eat a shoe dipped in their cheese and probably enjoy every bite. The breadsticks always arrive piping hot, stuffed with gooey mozzarella, and if we're judging on a cheese-pull scale...I'm giving them a solid 7/10 on the stretch meter. As for our server, Zach...what a true gem. He's one of those people I'd honestly be surprised to hear anyone say they didn't like. Funny, quick with the jokes, and somehow kept up with the chaos without missing a beat. He also made sure my lemon drop martinis never had a chance to get lonely. Since I wasn't driving, he happily assisted me in...staying hydrated. The place was busy enough that we couldn't stand around chatting long, but he's the kind of person you'd genuinely enjoy running into again. We've been here twice now, and both visits have been consistently great. Whether you're stopping in to catch the game, escape the cold on the heated patio, or simply satisfy a craving for those ridiculously good breadsticks, Ale Emporium continues to be one of our favorite spots. My pickup time was 4:14 p.m., and I arrived on time. I stood at the front for about 10 minutes while multiple employees walked past without acknowledging me. One employee at the bar looked at me several times but never spoke or let anyone know I was waiting. During that time, another customer walked in and was immediately asked if he needed assistance. I had to speak up and say I'd been waiting to get help. To make matters worse, my order wasn't even ready at the scheduled pickup time. I also noticed another couple come in and wait without being greeted. The manager did apologize and offered complimentary appetizers, which I appreciated, but the overall customer service left such a poor impression that I don't plan to return. The food was good, but good food doesn't make up for being ignored. While I was waiting, another couple came in and wasn't greeted either. They assumed it was self-seating, sat down for a while without anyone acknowledging them, and eventually left. Watching that happen made me realize this wasn't just a one-time issue with my order it seemed like a breakdown in customer service that could easily cost the restaurant business. So, thank you to the manager who was tried to help and thank you to the 2 other ladies that finally came over.
