My Husband and I went to Applebee's for lunch. I've been wanting to try this place. Before there wasn't any near where I lived. Now that we live in Klamath Falls we decided to go. We ordered the 2 for $25. I had asked for a Stella Artois cause I had seen a big ad on the menu. The waitress said they do not have that. So I ordered a Blue Moon. My Husband ordered a hot tea. The waitress did not give us a small teapot to go with it just a cup of hot water. My husband had to ask for more hot water 3x before he received it. And when he finally did the waitress just slammed it on the table. The floor was dirty with parts of someone's salad in the table next to us and all 7 TVs were showing the same football game with the volume very loud it was hard to hear each other. There was tackle all over the back wall as if there was some sort of construction going on there didn't appear to be any effort made to conceal that from the customers. The manager did not greet us and when my husband paid for our meal by swiping his card at the table the waitress advised that there was something wrong and we had to wait for a receipt to be printed from the managers office. For our appetizer we had the chicken wings. When the waitress brought it to us she did not give us any little plates or extra napkins. I had to ask for more napkins. The chicken wings were good. For the main course we had the baby back ribs and deep fried shimp with fries. Which was also good. Just a liitle to much salt on the fries. Even though our food was good. Don't. Just don't. I don't expect much from Applebee's, but even this was disappointing to me. My burger was ok, but my wife's salmon and vegetable dish was pathetic. She was nice, didn't get name but she has red hair. Waited a long time for my food. the rice tasted like mildew and dirt. the steak was cold. complained about it and got a discount. I've never been treated so poorly anywhere! Terrible service, oblivious "hostess" and you are required to use the annoying little computers at the table to process your own payment because they don't have a cashier but they don't tell you that until you go up front to pay. Even though place was only 10% full we were asked to wait while they found us a booth in the corner facing the restrooms where we were told the b"bartender will wait on you". My wife and I travel extensively in our business and Applebees is one of our favorite chains because of its price, quality and consistency. We have eaten at this particular Applebees15-20 times and it's as good as its other locations. HOWEVER.....I think one of our visits must have been the same day as John G. They had had a blowup in the kitchen and a couple cooks and a manager had walked out or been fired. They were literally promoting people on the spot, LOL! It was such a disaster that we wound up walking out after an hour (we never did get any food). Moral of the story? Stuff happens. Had this been our first visit we would never have come back. But we knew it was an anomaly and we've been back many times since. read more

Staff is very friendly, usually. On occasions the food will come out quickly. Sometimes portions get smaller, ordered the bourbon street chicken and shrimp, and was good. After a few times the portion got smaller. After all I enjoy going there. read more

We love Applebee's in our home town but this one in Klamath Falls doesn't even come close. The waitstaff was nice enough but the food was a disaster! Appetizer of cheeseburger egg rolls was cold in the middle. We asked them to make it again and they did with and didn't charge us for the item. Unfortunately, the entrees followed suit. I ordered baby back ribs, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The potatoes were good, broccoli mushy and cold in spots, ribs dry with very little meat on them. My meal was fantastic! It was cooked perfectly and came to the table extremely hot. The waitress was friendly and funny.

What horrible service! was seated then ignored for the rest of the time. Never was asked if drinks needed to be refilled. Food was forgotten, asked a busser to check on it and she brought it out, it was brought out cold and was never fixed. No one came up to see how the food was or tasted so ended up eating it cold, except one plate that i asked the busser to warm up. Use to eat here with friends on a constant basis but now the service has gone down and now its the last place ill eat. When given check apologized for not checking up cause it was busy? yet there was only 4 tables with people and the waiter could be seen talking and not doing anything near the kitchen the entire time. We showed up at 3pm on a Saturday. There were not many customers- the restaurant was perhaps 1/5 full. There was no sign at the host stand indicating whether or not to wait to be seated, so we waited. After 10 minutes, we decided to find a booth. Out of approximately 20 booths, 4 or 5 were occupied, and the rest were dirty. We found only one without dishes on it; it had been cleared, but not restocked with silverware etc. Our server came by and asked what we wanted. Hard to say, without a menu. She brought out our menus and seemed surprised that we didn't already have them. I ordered a bar drink. After 10 minutes we overheard the bartender asking for someone to run drinks. Nothing doing. 5 minutes later he showed up and slammed down my drink, splashing a bunch of it on the table. He offered a cursory apology and hurried off. We were left with a wet sticky table because we had no napkins to wipe it up. I ordered the Fiesta Lime Chicken, and my husband ordered the Cowboy Burger. When the server brought our food, she asked us if we wanted anything else. We asked for silverware. My chicken was inedible. It's not that it was overcooked or undercooked, it just tasted off, as if it and its toppings had been concocted in a lab. It had a strange metallic taste and rubbery consistency. The shoe-string onion rings on my husband's burger were so salty that he had to take every one of them off- and he's likes salty food. When our server came back to check on us, I told her that the chicken was not to my liking, and she offered a menu so I could choose something else. I chose the 'cross-cut BBQ ribs'. They came out after my husband had finished eating. The BBQ sauce was OK if a bit cloying, but the ribs were not ribs. They were these 1/4 inch thin strips of pork that had been battered and deep fried and then coated in sauce. Each of them had a flat, blade-shaped sliver of bone, surrounded by a tiny bit of meat and a lot of breading, rendering them very difficult to eat. BBQ, bone-in breading is what they were. I'm giving two stars instead of one because our server was decent, but I think the place was understaffed. I won't be back. read more

Yep, this place sucks. Our burger I ordered was cold and without any lettuce or tomatoes. The fries was cold as well/burnt. My wife ordered a steak that was less than pictured in their menu. Worst service yet!!! There was a slight rotten bar drain sour smell? My wife bought a $20 coupon for $10 this is the only way they lured us back, never again!! Ordered a beer & she must have pourer 4 pints of foam to get one beer, it took forever. Why was it foaming? Because it was as warm as room temperature seriously. My beer arrived about the same time as the food. My wife's cheese burger had no lettuce, onion, tomato, or pickles. Maybe that's how it comes? our bad?. We ask for a side of those veggies for the burger. "No problem" the waitress said, then went across the restaurant to get a drink order! She then started making the order! My wife had 2 bites of her lunch left when the wilted, rubbery veggies finally showed up. I won't be back until the name over the front door changes! I have visit other Applebee's with excellent service but this restaurant in Klamath Falls can definitely do better. It needs improvement. No water refills, no drinks refills, burn spinach dip, cold mashed potatoes and with a strange taste I did not eat it. The stake was ok. The service is slow. Service was terrible! My family waited 20 minutes without any sign of service. We finally decided to order an appetizer on the tablet provided on the table, there is no option to order drinks or entrees on the tablet. Our appetizer arrived fairly quickly, brought to our table by who we assumed was a cook, we asked him for drinks which he brought right away. After finishing our appetizer, we continued to wait about 10-15 more minutes for a waiter to take our order. We finally payed for the appetizer on the tablet and left. read more

I stopped for a drink and dinner tonight, I sat at the bar three workers across the bar looked at me and continued talking without at least acknowledging my presence. I waited and waited and no one at least offered a glass of water much less take my order. After an extended period I walked out and will never go back. Service does not exist at the place. read more

My wife and I visited October 28th and it was a horrible experiance from the moment we walked in! Upon our greeting we asked to sit at the bar as my wife and I planned on staying for a few hours to enjoy some drinks. When we asked to sit at the bar we were told no. After being seated and shortly after our water was bright to our table not by our waitress we finally meet her. She was carrying dirty dishes and very shot temped with my wife. She placed our orders for both food and long island ice teas, as our waitress input our order we could here her asking the bartend the differance between a top shelf and a normal long island. The fact she was a server and didn't know that their is a difference made me and my wife worried about our complete order. About 15 minutes later our long island finally arrived but not made the right. Before we even took a drink from either long island the drinks were clearly different colors. One drink was so diluted you couldn't see the black straw in the glass. The other long island you could see was much lighter as well as the straw. After sampleing each drink from a straw they were both not enjoyable! We asked to speak to a manager and our waitress again was very rude. It took so much time for the manager to come visit our table the bartender asked if he had talk to us yet and as he walked over the food we order was being delievered. As the food arrived we sent it straight back to the kitchen as eating here was at this point not option for us anymore. I asked him by looking at the long island's if their was a problem he could see. He said he couldn't see any issue, after bringing it to his attention of the different colors and how you could see only one straw he claimed it was due to the "LIGHTING". Same drink order and brought to our table and the issue was the lighting? OK so after putting both drinks under lights we asked if it were the lighting still causing the issue. He offered to make us another round but we declined and after sending the food back and letting him know of his servers poor attitude we felt like it should be bright to his attention. At the end of the whole experiance and a few days have pasted it is clear to me managment is the problem here. Managment can't fix our servers attitude but at the end of the day it starts with who they hire and how they train. read more

For the past 2 years we've been going there and we like their food, and the service staff is usually prompt and cheerful. However, things could be kept cleaner. We don't think the windows, inside or out have ever been cleaned since we have been going there. The pictures on the walls, near the booths have kids dirty handprints on them. The tables and booths need to be cleaned with a good cleaner and not just water. Same with the plastic menus. We don't like to feel dirty menu's and then eat a burger. Also, one time my tea cup was so dirty that I had to ask for another. It looked clean, but you could tell by the gritty feel that it needed a good scrubbing. If management doesn't care about the cleanliness of the restaurant, I would question as to what the kitchen might look like. I hope this is not the case. read more

Applebee's has Nosedived in the recent year. I have decided not to return there After getting sick the last few times I went there for dinner. Their food isn't very good. Seems pre-made, or frozen. Some of it is reasonably priced, probably because they just take it out of a freezer and heat it up. In my recent 2 visits, I was extremely disappointed. I ordered breaded fish and chips, and tartar sauce. They forgot my sauce, and the fish was burnt on the majority of it, and the fries were soggy. I asked for my sauce, and the waitress brought me marinara sauce. When i asked for the sauce that i ordered, she came back with what looked to be whiteish water with a few pickles in it. It was not tartar sauce. I left thinking I would give them another try, even though I was disappointed. On my next visit I ordered a chicken sandwich, that turned out to not be cooked all the way through. On my way home from the restaurant, I barely made it home in time to use the bathroom, since my body decided that food needed to get out of me asap. I won't return to applebees, and I certainly won't recommend them to anyone. read more

Worst service ever, short staffed so super late taking our order & also receiving our food which was totally cold, one missed salad and one missed appetizer, then lastly she mixed up our bills in the end ($69 vs $34). I have never had anything really worth eating here, the waitresses seat you, you try to order a drink, that takes about a half an hour if the place has 10 people in it, gawd knows if you would ever get one if they actually were busy, they have never made an order the way we ordered it, always has to be returned to be corrected, so when we go there, I only get beer or a margarita, and order several at a time so I don't have to wait an hour for a second one. Only been to the apple bees in kfalls two times and they have both been terrible. The ticket time was over an hr both times at non-rush hours. I am very understanding when it comes to the restaurant business because I am a server and by boyfriend is a cook but the waiting staff was cold and looked like they could care less we were there. Our server never came back to the table after she brought us out food and we sat with empty drinks for 30 minutes in a tall table next to the bar(she was the bar tender) and watched her check on her other bar table across the way multiple times. I finally asked one of the other waitresses for a refill and she was polite. We waited for a ticket but never got one so we payed on the table iPad. I ordered something new and it looked nothing like the pic and was missing half the ingredients. I tried to get her attention but she spent most of her time in the kitchen or cleaning (a few hrs before closing). When I arrived I walked into a nearly empty restaurant (the sign outside was not lit and it was getting dark). No one at the door to greet me so I went to the bar to find the staff hanging out by the bar. I ordered the Napa Chicken w/portobello mushrooms and a small Caesar salad. The salad was drowning in dressing and I asked them to toss it again. When the server returned the salad it was plain lettuce with dressing on the side. My entree arrived before he could return with a properly tossed Caesar salad so I cancelled it. The Napa Chicken with portobello mushrooms arrived smothered in sautéed onions. The smell just turned me off. I refused the entree and reordered a sirloin steak with shrimp. MUCH BETTER!! The service was okay but the manager complained of a sore shoulder and used foul language within earshot. I suggest some retraining in customer service with an emphasis on company standards. read more
