I think this place might have rebranded to My Sports Bar, but either way it is just as crappy as the previous ownership. Service was terrible per usual and some of the servers were buzzed, and rude. STEPH JUDGMENT: A comfortable neighborhood pub with good eats. I came here a couple of times years ago when I used to work nearby. It's certainly improved in atmosphere and food since then. They'd remodeled, and the interior is clean and pleasantly appointed--no grungy dive, this. The hubby and I decided to stop by for lunch and to watch a hockey game, since we'd be passing through the area. O'Connors turned out to be good for both activities. There were a good number of TVs and we were able to watch the game that we wanted, and the shrimp tacos and grilled cheese sandwich we got were very tasty. Time for a review. I keep coming back. Been here more times than I can remember. Don't remember the staff members' names but remember that I enjoyed my visits enough to keep coming back There's parking. In front it gets filled fast. Other businesses in that strip. Go around back. Tons of parking. Rear entrance/exit. Don't have to hike around to the front. Free too Service has always been excellent. At least it has been for my and my friends. We're easy though. Staff is always checking up on the customers and the drinks are stiff and the food is good enough. It's not gourmet but goes so well in the environment and with drinks. Hole in wall. Watched UFC and Boxing. The positive it was free. You have to get here early to find seats, standing only which was a negative. Ordered drinks to enjoy the fight. The drinks are expensive! 5 tall draft beers totalled out to $80... High way robbery!! All the screens need to be updated.. they are all like 40"! They are many but not good enough to compensate with today's technology of sports entertainment and compete against other sports bar. This place is like meh.. emphasis.. over priced beers!!! My husband and I had the misfortune of stopping at this place for lunch. I know eating at a bad, don't expect too much. I didn't, but I expected at least an effort. First of all, we ordered corned beef Tater tots with corned beef. It was a bunch of tots thrown on top of sweet corn and topped with pan fried thin sliced corned beef. This seemed like little thought went into it, but tater tots were toasty and we were hungry. I ordered a coffee which at serving the waitress said I could make into an Irish coffee so I said yes. My only complaint is that it was lukewarm. Our meal were hot wings (edible, but not great) and the star of the show, my meal: "Shepherd's pie". Again, only expecting an effort. Well, there's no effort made in this dish and they charge $18 for it. It is a bunch of frozen veggies mixed in with greasy ground beef and topped by boxed mashed potatoes. Unpalatable to say the least. It had absolutely no seasoning. I should've returned it, but again I gave it a try and was hungry. I should've never eaten any of it. I had a queasy feeling from the grease and a stomach ache for the rest of the day. Don't eat at this place. read more

So happy to visit this establishment for a second time. I cannot get over how incredible the staff is. The owner, Tamara, is so welcoming and friendly. Her enthusiasm to all her guests is contagious, we genuinely felt like we were vibing with a long time friend. The drinks are unique and delicious. The chocolate martini is a sweet tooth lover's dream, while the smoked old fashion is perfect for every instagrammable moment. Well crafted cocktails are this place's specialty FOR SURE! Shoutout to Stephen! The food portions are generous and full of flavor. We ordered the full rack of wings (half Buffalo and half lemon pepper) I don't think I've had better lemon pepper anywhere else. The citrusy zest flavor is incomparable. The macho nachos were macho indeed! You get so much bang for your buck with impeccable service. This place wasn't what I expected which was a small slightly old pub. I was pleasantly surprised by how open and clean and airy it is. I would have liked a little more privacy as it's too open for me. But if it's the type of place to get really crowded on game nights or late nights then it makes sense. The drinks were strong and the food was really good if you like slightly greasy and heavy pub food - which I definitely do lol. Oh and they have breakfast which I need to try. My one gripe was the music. There was a DJ which I thought was weird for a pub and he played the most unpleasant mix of music and I found it a bit annoying. It just didn't work for the ambience. I had to explain to him that it was not 50% off as he claimed. He finally figured it out with the bartender but he did seem frustrated (surely they have had to have had some customers already redeem some). As for the food, it was good but overpriced. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and came with a very small portion of watermelon and cantelope (14.00). My friend ordered the pancake breakfast (eggs and bacon or sausage, 15.00). The bloody Mary's (or rather Bloody Moira's as they dubbed 'em) were 10.00/ea. Total bill was definitely not worth regular price at 50 bucks but a good deal with the Groupon. Can't say I'd be back but it definitely wasn't crowded so that was also a plus. read more

They should all get raises for their service, especially on busy nights when they are fully alone and running around to all the tables. Now the bad review, the new owner has ruined this place. We have been coming to King Trivia every Thursday for almost two years straight, and it was a busy, fun night for all of the teams. When this new owner took over, he eventually moved trivia to Tuesday nights and didn't tell anyone or announce it on social media. And now we just found out they canceled trivia completely and again haven't told anyone or announced it on social media. The trivia host had to message us on Instagram to let us know it's gone for good from O'Connor's. We don't understand this business decision as Thursday trivia nights had a good 5-7 regular teams (of multiple people) who were bringing in drink and food money, and now that's it's canceled none of us will be back. Bring back Trivia Thursday nights and I'll change my review. read more

St. Patricks Day fail. The service was terrible!!! A huge line to get drinks and still serving people walking up to the bar. Literally waited in line 45 minutues and finally said F it and didn't even want to give them my money at that point. Missed half the set of the amazing music (that couldn't even be heard on the other side of the bar. Maybe go take a lesson from O'mally's or Henessy's in Seal Beach or one of the LB bars on how to rock St Patrick's day to make it fun. First of all, the manager and owner are so involved with the customer care and service, it is so refreshing to know that you are well taken care of! They are constantly checking on you to make sure you have everything you need! NEXT, the drinks were AMAZING! I personally got the peach ginger blast cocktail and my boyfriend got the salted caramel chocolate martini! Both tasted sweet and delicious! I would definitely recommend these drinks! My other friend got the smoked old fashion, and he really enjoyed it! (I have no comment because I hate Whiskey) Also, the food portion sizes were so big! A nice little hidden gym. Well at least hidden from us until now. On a recommendation from one of our sons friends mother we went to watch a Cowboys game. Very family friendly. They have a small arcade in the back and pool tables. We went on a Sunday the place was full but they were empty seats for us. The kids had a great time playing pool and even though the Cowboys did not win we had a good time. The food was delicious the burger is very juicy. Don't come here unless you've got hours to spend since you'll be ignored most of the time. I've come here on off nights and event nights and the service is garbage. Bartenders don't pay attention. You can ask them for something and see them do it at their leisure. For example: I asked for a menu and the guy walked away, talked to another table, went to the kitchen (and walked out empty handed), and started cleaning glasses (clearly forgetting about my menu). After signaling him again, I finally got a menu. Then there's Bartender Bri. Nice girl who remembers your drink but good luck getting it unless you're in her face or waving her down. She seems to care more about eating from the kitchen window or staring into the sinks than paying attention to the customers. I even had to have the karaoke guy call her from the mic before she came over to my table a few times. Needless to say, unless they hire better staff or retrain their current ones, they won't be getting any of my business or my friends'. read more

Came here on St. Patrick's day of ALL days and had terrible experience due to the owner Jim. Just to be clear, our servers were both very kind and not to blame at all. However, it was reported that the cook left on the spot so they were no longer taking order due to no one being in the kitchen. We had already ordered food about 30 minutes prior to that happening, still didn't receive our food. We were told we couldn't have celery and ranch as a replacement because the owner said no. Despite that being easily accessible, he still said no. We asked to speak to the owner, Jim, and he denied speaking to us. The only accommodation they were offering was to take the wings (we didn't receive anyways) off my bill. No other conversation or accommodations made. Poor ownership and management. I feel bad for the employees that have to work under his ownership. It makes sense why the cook quit on the spot, Jim made it clear how he treats his customers, let alone his employees. First time back since the remodel. It is very clean inside, and staff is wearing masks. The staff are wonderful and friendly. You don't have to wait a long time for someone to check on you. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports no matter where you sit inside. Did not get any food since we just had lunch but I will say the beer is cold. The only bummer part was that there was not a shade on one of the windows and the sun came right in and was hitting me in the face. But soon enough the sun set enough so it did not last long.
