Haven't been to an Outback in many years, and then been to two in less than a week. This second one (with my wife and her mom) was also a good/great experience. We were in Lakewood to run some errands, so decided to stop in right when they opened right on time at 11am. They do have outdoor seating, but as many restaurants do, only a section covered by waitstaff inside was open. A multi-page glossy menu was given, but it doesn't include everything available (The Aussie 3-Course [A3C] Meal as an example). Our waiter guided us to the tableside Ziosk, where the 3-course was included with price. We combined with the lunch specials, to create a variety of food that we all shared. A loaf of warmed brown bread (similar to pumpernickel) was given as a complementary app, and it was good with the whipped butter. Six Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp [A3C] for $14.99 - available all the time, this option included 6 fat deep fried shrimp, with a mango dipping sauce and a side (good fries in our case). The house salad included was good with fresh, crispy vegetables. For dessert, it is a slice of good cheesecake, with choice of raspberry or chocolate sauce. Combo Chicken Lunch Special ($12.99) - 5 oz Grilled chicken on the Barbie, with a loaded (bacon, cheese, butter, sour cream, chives) baked potato. Definitely baked well with coarse salt on the outside. I like potato skins, and this was well done (crisp skin, well oiled, and properly baked). The Bloomin Burger [A3C] for $14.99 - also available all the time, got a fully loaded burger (supposed to be 1/2 pound, but didn't seem like it) with just fried 'bloomin' onion petals as a topping (along with lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles). The bun was brioche and had been toasted and buttered. It was a good burger and I enjoyed the fries as a side. I chose a cup of potato soup as the starter, and it was very good. Bondi Beer (22oz on draft for $10) - Bondi is a relatively new lager from Australia that has replaced Foster's at Outbacks in California and Las Vegas. First time trying, and it was really good, especially ice cold from the tap with what we ate. Unlike some other chain restaurants that are having a hard time with staffing, this location had all the needed positions for a sit-down meal, and we were well taken care of throughout. Payment was doable via the Ziosk, and because we didn't use any coupons/discounts, the pricing was right on. It was easy to make payment, with a receipt going to my phone. read more

My husband took me there to Outback today for lunch on a birthday gift card from his best friend. It was the best steak we have ever had the best salad. Rachel was the one who took care of us and she was such a sweetheart, she made us feel like we were her only customers! She was knowledgeable, efficient, personable and very good at what she does. Also, we were given a sundae on the house because it was my husband's birthday. Rod, one of our favorite waiters there, stopped by our table just to say welcome back! 05/10/2026: Reservations at 5:30pm; seated at 5:50-ish. It was Mother's Day and busy. Host was helpful and server was too. Friendly as well. Food: Ate a lot of shrimp, which were good. Lol I think my 9oz Sirloin steak was medium rare, but I didn't really mind if it wasn't because I would just eat it. I really enjoyed my two sides though which was the Caesar salad and Baked Potato soup. For dessert, New York style cheesecake and wish I had one more slice of that. It's been a while since I visited Outback, and unfortunately, it just wasn't the same. Our waitress was wonderful--attentive and kind--but the food didn't meet expectations. I ordered a cocktail that was overly sweet. I don't like sending things back, so I asked if it could be adjusted. Our server kindly had the bartender try to fix it in a larger cup, which I appreciated, but it was still sweet and didn't even taste like a proper cocktail anymore. The steak was overcooked--not terrible, but not cooked to my preference either. All in all, the service was great, but the food and drinks left a lot to be desired. I'm not sure Outback will be my go-to choice again anytime soon. read more

Hallelujah! They brought back their teriyaki sauce. We were so bummed when they got rid of the teriyaki ribeye. They just added teriyaki filet medallions. You can get a side of teriyaki for a 3 dollar add on to any steak! Please keep it available. I love the 3 course meal deal. They have a great cheeseburger. The service was great. We were very surprised it wasn't packed for new years eve. We did go crazy early at 3pm. But, it was still empty at 4pm. It could also be the rain. I used to like Outback as a whole. There food is usually worth the money & the quality is usually above a 6. However the last 2 times I've oedered from the Lakewood Restaurant, things have not been up to my expectation. Last month I ordered the steak & shrimp, both food items were overcooked & chewy. I chalked it up to just an off day. But last night I ordered the Badsass burgers (buy 1 get 1 free). I ordered delivery thru Instacart (Uber Eats). The service was lowsey! The order was placed at 5:55pm (delivery ETA 6:30pm latest) well it was finally delivered by 7:08pm. Mind you I'm only 8 minutes away. Of course the burgers were cold, same as the french frys, but they were also soggy! The oversized bag was sealed, but the the food in the containers were flopped around, and the burgers were apart & mixed with the fries. I blame the dilvery driver, SENDHUR, did not not take care to gently handle the bag. I will not be returning to Outback thru Instacart, or even picking orders up. I hadn't been to an outback in over 10 years. My expectations weren't that high. But my husband and I were both pretty happy with our meals and our experience here! We came on Veterans Day. Thank you for honoring our vets! We both ordered the steak (one with fries and another with broccoli). He got the soup and I got a salad. And we had cheesecake. All that was complimentary. On top of that though, we ordered a blooming onion, and two beers. The food was just above par which left us happy. Meat was cooked as ordered - Not like it's going to be a lavish quality of meat but it was a solid satisfactory. The service from Rachel was fantastic. As understaffed as they were for offering a great Veterans Day meal, she took the time to care for us and was very attentive. I haven't visited this place in about 3 years. It appears they have remodeled; it's way brighter and it looks much better. My kids and I ordered the same thing- we ordered the bone in rib eye and I was surprised how good it was. It was perfectly cooked and flavorful. They clearly upgraded their cooks in the back- on my last visit- approximately 3 years ago, it was lacking taste an size. They clearly upgraded all the way around- service was good also- in regard to the price, everything is expensive so it's not different here. I'm just blessed I'm able to afford it. read more

Host stated it was too hot outside and a server wouldn't go out there because the patio is enclosed with glass and it's like a mini oven. That's actually crazy.. so we dined in. Andrew was our waiter, he was super sweet, informative. The kids meal is NOT on the regular menu, you have to ask for the kids meal menu. How does someone eat plant-based at Outback Steakhouse? I want to give major props to the team at this Lakewood location for making special accommodations for the token vegan of my family (me). My dad loves steak and every Father's Day we take him to a steakhouse. I do my best to get creative with the steakhouse menu. At Outback they have a house salad but I wanted a little bit more for my meal. In another section of the menu, they offered sautéed mushrooms on a sandwich. Though the sautéed mushrooms are typically cooked in butter, the manager said he could have it cooked in oil instead. I requested for a light amount of oil to be used. It came out in a cute mini cast-iron pan. Just came with my brother for a quick appetizer while we were waiting for my mom to get off work to go to dinner. We sat at the bar and was helped quickly. The bartop was wiped down and not sticky. It was a Sunday afternoon, and I had just started my day. I'm a nightshift'er with a really bad sleep schedule, and I had to pick my daughter up from work and also make a trip to Costco. We were both super hungry, so this Outback, being right next to Costco, was perfect, location wise. I was a tiny bit discouraged with the parking, as most of the available parking was for compact cars, and I drive an Odyssey. I don't like squeezing into parking spots, so I had to drive around for an extra minute or so to find parking that wouldn't set my anxiety off. We were seated right away, being only a party of two. We did noticed *a lot* of birthday entourages, so it was nice that we didn't have to wait. Our server, Ms. Lindsey, was AH-mazing! Super nice, attentive, and very pleasant! She made our meal a great one! It was also my daughter's first time at Outback, and I have to say that she enjoyed her meal, so yay! Our appetizer was the Sydney Shrooms: lightly battered and fried mushrooms with a ranch dipping sauce. We love mushrooms, so we inhaled these. The batter has a subtle kick to it, and overall made for a really flavorful mushroom. We also inhaled the bread and butter, but who doesn't? Lol! We both decided on the 3-course meal deal. I decided on the house salad with ranch on the side, the 6oz sirloin cooked medium with the baked potato, and the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. My daughter chose the baked potato soup, the 6oz sirloin cooked medium with the upgraded mac and cheese, and the cheesecake with the raspberry and chocolate sauce. Our drinks were the kiwi strawberry lemonade and the grapefruit desert pear sparkler. My daughter said the lemonade was more strawberry than kiwi strawberry, and my sparkler was quite tart, but bearable to drink. We ate pretty much everything. I mean, I did say we were hungry. We noticed other people leaving with to-go bags, and we just sat at our table saying that won't be us, lol! Hubby and I usually dine at the Outback at the Civic Center in Norwalk. Honestly, Outback makes for a really good meal. I don't think I've ever had a not-good meal with them. This location is no different. The service, our meal, and overall vibe: all great! Spent over $70 for wings, two salads, and coconut shrimp. My husband's wings were raw. Pink and undercooked. Made him sick. The bread was so hard I could have used it as a door stopper. If you do decide to go to Lakewood's Outback Steakhouse, consider carpooling, because parking really sucks. We decided to stop by last minute on a Saturday evening, and understandably were informed that no reservations were available on such short notice, and our best bet is to arrive and get on the waitlist. Although inside dining was going to be a long wait, the hostess came back to us (group of 5+) after about 10 minutes and offered outside dining to us, pending a quick busing of the table. After we were seated, one of the employees attempted to light the patio heater...unsuccessfully.....and left to go get a lighter afterwards....without shutting off the gas. We shut the valve as soon as we started smelling the gas - 1. We ordered Sydney Shrooms....and found them to be a little too salty. One person ordered a wedge salad as their side and found it to be drowning in dressing....might be a good idea to cut back a bit on that squeeze. My wife ordered a Sirloin Steak (medium) with Coconut Shrimp, mashed potatoes and soup, and I ordered the Sirloin Steak (medium) with grilled shrimp, fries and rice. Coconut shrimp - good - very sweet, even sweeter with the sauce. Grilled shrimp - burnt flavorless. Steaks....definitely not medium. Fries - ease up on the salt, please. Rice - are you sure you cooked it right? Very slimy and salty - 2. I think they forgot about us after they dropped off the food....it took a while to get a refill on the drinks - Sprite was also out of syrup - took even longer to get our bill/to go containers. I'm sure three different servers and a handful of helpers were covering our area - 3 tables.... we were basically ignored....while the lobby was packed with people waiting to be seated - 3. My friend and I have been wanting to eat at an Outback Steakhouse for some time now so we decided to make the move finally! Food - We started off with the Steakhouse Mac and Cheese Bites which were super crispy on the outside and super creamy in the inside. The sauce on the side (ranch?) made it so much better. My friend settled for the Rib Eye and I settled for the Outback Style Prime Rib which we decided to share half and half so we could try out both steaks. The Prime Rib was a bit more on the saltier side but the creamy horseradish did make it taste a lot better. The Rib Eye was seasoned perfect. It came with two sides which I chose Asparagus and Baked Potato. I didn't know the Baked Potato was going to be loaded but I didn't mind. Service - Service was fast and attentive. Food came out fast and our server checked up on us several times and provided us with anything we needed Ambiance - We sat in the bar area and were sat in a spacious booth right by the host stand. This location is a standout. Today Jordan (not sure if that is how she spells it) delivered the best service I think I have ever had anywhere. I ordered the Outback Burger which is always tasty and the fries this day were hot and seasoned well. I'm a huge fry person and if they are not good, it ruins the entire meal for me. These were only second to McDonald's fries. Even though it was busy, the wait time was less than 10 minutes. The service and the meal could not have gone any better. read more

But I saw a billboard with a Bloomin' Onion on it and it made me crave that greasy sea urchin. So we called ahead to the Lakewood location at 7pm and got on the wait list. By the time we arrived, our table was already ready and we were seated right away. Hailey was our outstanding waitress. We ordered cocktails, the Bloomin Onion, wedge salads, and steak & taters. The Agave Rita cocktail was good, Onion and the Wedge were excellent. I was totally full by the time my steak and potato arrived. The steak was cooked medium, as I requested, but I wasn't very into the flavor or the texture of the meat. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't stuffed myself on appetizers. This review is for my lunch experience. I come to Outback a couple of times a month and always get the wings...which are delicious and different from most other hot wings. Today I was craving a burger, because I didn't go to my normal burger spot this past weekend. For this to be a Steakhouse, I was thoroughly disappointed in the $17 burger. The patty is no bigger than a smash burger patty, and don't even think about cook to order, because you'll get a well-done burger regardless. I'll stick to wings going forward and would suggest anyone else do the same. As for service, I already knew it would be less than good, because Tyler or David wasn't bartending and the others don't really seem to care about customer service. read more
