So decided to eat at Applebee's for Veterans Day with my sister and well I see why this location has the stars it has. The food was good but the cleaness of the place was okay! We saw a server wipe down a table with only napkins. No disinfectant spray or anything. With Covid being so easy to catch u would think that they would be cleaner. I see waiters wearing mask but not the correct way. Mask are suppose to be worn over your nose not just your mouth and why doesn't the hostess have a mask on? Went there last night on a long trip back from Kentucky. As soon as we sat down I wanted to leave but I was with someone else and we were tired and hungry so I decided to stick it out. Apparently our waitress, who was wonderful by the way, was on loan from another store for the night and the employees shunned her, refused to run her ticket and food and we were there long after the table behind us was seated, brought food, ate and left. Also, the music was way too loud and after another waitress was constantly playing the jukebox with loud, sexual or inappropriate songs, I asked her to please turn down the music to no avail. Easily the worst restaurant experience I've had in years! The worst part of the experience was the food. I ordered a burger that looked absolutely delicious on the menu. First, I had to check my watch because it was taking so long - a burger! They bring it out but no fries - they tell us fries will be brought later. How does it take longer to cook fries than a burger?! ANSWER: The burger was visibly leftover from at least the day before - if not older. At least the fries came out hot. But then there was the beer. It was old, flat and tasted like piss! My son ordered a mixed drink that he said was also flat - we had to send both back. And then my grandson ordered a milkshake - but of course, the milkshake machine wasn't working. Translation: they hadn't cleaned it. Our server did the best he could - I actually felt bad for him having to work there - he should get another job. What was very telling was a lady came in after us and sat at the table next to ours. When she placed her order, she told the server to not bring her old food and make certain it was fresh. So we were supposed to instruct them to bring us freshly cooked food?!?! Really?!?! Never again! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I've worked in restaurants and retail in my early years and I know the problem here is bad management. Horrible service. We got seated by the Host who then proceeded to wipe the table off with his hands. It felt like we sat there for 30 minutes at the table before a waitress says I'll be with you in one second. The waitress then went to the last table seated after us and took their order. What an experience my friend ordered the maple mustard salmon the sauce came on the side it was ice cold the salmon had no flavor when we asked the manager if the sauce was supposed to be on the side he said it came like that and showed no remorse. We asked for some type of compensation. He did heat it up a little bit our server brought it back to us the manager never returned to check on us to see if we were satisfied. When we received our bill the only compensation we received was $4.00 taken off our bill which was the total of our drinks. So unhappy with my experience customer service was horrible. read more

We took into consideration that our server was only on her second day of work, but there was no sense of urgency at all while we were getting served. My granddaughter wasn't even able to eat her chicken tender meal because it was so hard. All the fries ordered were cold & old. Not lukewarm but cold. My husband and I went to Applebee's last night and our experience was bittersweet. Im giving Precious our bartender these 5 stars. 1. We walked in and there were people waiting to be seated and the restaurant was not even close to being full. The hostess was no where to be found, so we went and sat the bar. 2. We ordered our drinks and food from Precious which she was friendly and busy. 3. The food took about an hour to come out and the only reason it finally came was because Precious had to go to the kitchen and make them prepare our orders. 4. Last but not least we ordered long island ice teas and they were excellent! Precious put her foot into those drinks. Lol! We made sure we tipped her well. To the management, Customer service and hot food is what brings in customers and keeps them returning. Precious and Portia were eager to assist customers which shows they are very good at what they do. Never have I been as disappointed in an eating establishment as I was today at Applebee's at Stonecrest! I ordered the Chicken WonTonTacos (which I have been eating for years). I placed the order to go. When I got home I opened the chicken container. The chicken was ice cold. I'm not even talking room temperature. The container looked as if the chicken had been microwaved and then refrigerated. Really!!! I put the top back on and drove right back up there. Asked to speak to the manager. she stated, "someone forgot to put them in the microwave, wait a second I'll heat them for you". It's currently 11:14 PM. Had a late night craving for breakfast; Denny's closed at 11:00 PM. Walked in an waited a few moments before anyone greeted us. It was only 2 other patrons in the entire restaurant. When someone finally greeted us - no enthusiasm. She seemed slightly annoyed that we showed up so late.. with an unkempt appearance. We finally got seated at 11:17 PM. Waitress took our order at 11:19 PM. Since when do they take your order with entire spiraled notebooks? My apologies, got sidetracked. The waitress - she never told us her name - took our order & seemed a bit confused on how I wanted it prepared. Next thing you know, I hear her and the waitress that "greeted" us, whispering about how I wanted my order to be prepared. Why were they even that close for me to hear the entire conversation? I only ordered the "bacon temptation omelette." I hope I haven't upset anyone. We finally received water at 11:26 PM. (Don't judge me for seeming like an a-hole for leaving timestamps throughout this post. Only doing it to ensure the accuracy of my final rating for the post review) FINALLY!!! The food arrived at 11:39 PM. And when she dropped it off, she kind of hovered for a minute.. like she was waiting for us to ask her if she wanted some. It was eerie. The food was subpar. The omelette lacked bacon and egg, but had extra cheese! IHOP's omelettes are advertising as fluffy, mine was flat. The pancakes were all different colors: brown, darker brown & lightly burned. My two daughters and I came to this location and were skipped TWICE while waiting to be seated. The hostess sat a larger party that had just walked in a few minutes after us. We walked in.. the host was asleep, slumped over the podium ... the booth he offered us was dirty with food on the seat...we took the liberty of finding another booth...we were given menus... mine was filthy... my daughter who went to use the restroom came back to the booth and said the bathroom was filthy...at that point we walked out... never to return ever!!! Can I put negative 5 stars? The management at this location needs to be fired! How is it that on Cinco de mayo, a night where people will make an effort to go out, your establishment is short staffed. Empty tables were all around, but our wait to be seated was 30 minutes. What else could go wrong? Everything! After being seated for 15 minutes, we finally got water and waited another 8 minutes for straws. We placed a drink and food order as soon as we sat down. After 35 minutes we got 1 appetizer, which was chips and salsa... Were they waiting for the tomatoes to get ripe before picking them to make salsa? Our drinks finally arrive after 45 minutes and 3 of the 5 orders were incorrect. One of the correct order happened to be the saltiest and worst tasting margarita this side of the border. 1 chicken quesadilla arrives 1 hour after with chicken wanton tacos. Tacos are cold and quesadilla is as salty as the margarita. At 68 minutes on the clock, utensils are handed to us, as well as the chicken strawberry and avocado salad arrives... With no chicken and no avocado! Wait, no chicken and no avocado? Yes..... There was shrimp (placed in front of someone allergic to it who also did not order it) and when we asked about the error, that's when we were told, they were out of avocados. Shouldn't this have been stated before the order came out, so that we had the option to change the order? At 77 minutes on the clock, the ribs arrive, and oh, by the way, we are out of fries. Would you like something else? No we don't, we've been here for almost an hour and a half and now you want us to order something different to wait another hour and a half?!? Heck no!!! Sir, what happened to our 2nd chicken quesadilla? Oh, it didn't come out yet? Let me go check. Returns after 7 minutes and said it would be out shortly. Shortly turned into an additional 6 minutes. By this time, those with food have sifted through the saltiness and eaten a bite or 2, and the last to get her meal, just asks for a take away box. The waiter with the lowly sagging pants offers is 1 brownie bite as a peace offering. What?!? Ummm, no thank you, as we would probably have to wait another 30 minutes for it, I'd just like to see a manager to let them know that we are NOT paying for any of the wrong order or cold food. Really, the only reason we stayed was because my grandmother was hungry and tired.... But guess what, she couldn't eat her salad of shrimp and strawberries anyway! I seldom write reviews about chain restaurants, but there's always an exception to the rule. Sometimes I want to get out and I'm just not in the mood to head to Atlanta. There's always seems to have a nice size crowd. Every now and then I go here to watch sporting events too. Assuming who ever reads this has ate at an Applebees, I won't even bother mentioning there food. However, I will spend the remainder of the review talking about there beloved Long Island Ice Tea. For some reason, it always seems stronger at this particular location. I've had it at other places and it was water down, but it is definitely stronger here. Not only is it strong, but it taste good too. It's reach the point that when I step foot inside of the restaurant, the bartender automatically brings me one, lol. I'm not a fan of providing bad reviews, but I am posting a review in hopes that the service will improve. There were countless moments where poor customer service took place: 1. When we arrived, the hostess scrambled around the restaurant to find a random piece of paper to record the name for our table. 2. When we were seated, we placed our drink order (a Blue Moon and three Perfect Patrons), the first time, and it took 20 - 30 minutes for one drink (Blue Moon) to arrive. We asked the waitress to check on the other drinks and her response was, "Would you like to speak with the manager? I've been waiting on your drinks, but the bartender isn't listening to me." We agreed to speak with the manager being optimistic that the situation would be rectified. 3. The manager arrived 15 minutes later and heard our concern. His response to our concern was, "There is a long wait for drinks because there was supposed to be three waitresses working, but two of them did not show up so there are probably a thousand drinks ahead of yours... I'll take your order and put it in." He then proceeded to take our drink order, for the second time, in addition to the food order (sweet potato fries and 10 pieces of bone-in wings). 4. Another 30 minutes passed and we still didn't have any drinks nor food. By this time, we are all pissed. Another waitress came to the table to verify the order that the manager placed. So this means that the order we gave him over 30 minutes ago was NEVER put in. Out of the all the drinks and food that was ordered the only item that was brought to the table was the Blue Moon. 5. My friend asked what started off as one waitress and has now become two, to bring him an Arnold Palmer. He asked both of them in case one of them slipped up (forgot the order). Both waitresses brought him a drink, but one waitress forgot the straw. So even if I wanted to drink one because I was dying of thirst, I couldn't. By this time, we are ready to go. We canceled all of the food and drink orders and walked out. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. We never received any water or silverware. No one seemed apologetic for the numerous mistakes that were being made and the manager who should be well equipped to handle situations like this, only made matters worse, but not remembering our order, not filling in the gaping holes with staffing and customer service. Hands down the WORST service I have ever received at a restaurant. My friend and I chose to eat here last weekend. It was a Sunday night and yes, it was jam packed in there. We were seated fairly quickly, which was surprising. After being seated, we literally didn't see anyone greet us or ask to get drinks for over 20 minutes. This is completely unacceptable and not a good start to the meal. Normally we would've just left to head somewhere else but my friend has a baby and it's more trouble to pack up everything to leave. We didn't get our water until 35 minutes after sitting down. It was just one thing after another as we sat there. We ordered our food, it of course, took forever to come out. When it arrived, it was wrong. I LOVE Applebee's and I really love their Fiesta Lime Chicken so I know what it usually looks like.. and this was not correct. I told the waitress that it was missing the mexi-ranch sauce, lime and pico de gallo. Her response was, "We are just so slammed that the kitchen staff isn't really paying attention to making the food correctly. Right now we are just trying to get it out to people." Well, if that isn't one of the worst answers I have ever heard, I don't know what is. I also informed her that I didn't have any silverware or napkins- retrieving that took about 5 more minutes. As my friend's baby got restless, our water glasses were completely empty and we had been done eating for about 15 minutes we waited to see the waitress again to ask for the check. She was no where to be found! Finally, I had to get up to find someone to help us. It was a horrible experience and I will definitely never come back to this location! The only redeeming things about this experience is that I was with a friend whom I hadn't seen in a long time so having a 2.5 hour experience at Applebee's left us with time to enjoy each other. Waited 8 min to be approached strike 1. (Especially being that we were the servers only table. $1 margaritas are so sugared up I got an immediate headache sent them back. Server never came back to table in between bring drinks and the food. We had to flag down another server after the party they were having in the entrance to the kitchen and the host stand broke up. We got a young man to get our server. Approximately 15 min later strike 2 she comes with food. My daughters Caesar salad had too many heads and thick veins to eat it I had to pick through and chop it up at the table, the boneless wings were OLD and smothered in sauce instead of tossed and my salad lettuces were clearly old . So we tell the server about the drinks and would like to order two top shelf long islands NOPE apparently the franchise owner has a new rule that if you send back alcohol you can not re order alcohol? I couldn't believe this and asked to speak with manager. (Who is hanging out at the host stand) I watch the server get him and he took his sweet time coming over. Just to tell us the same thing NO it's the rule that rolled out a week or so ago. Just a few things from a fellow hospitality manager 1 servers shouldn't be hanging out in guest view if they can lean they can clean at least look busy if anything or take it else where also the entrance to kitchen that's a mistake waiting to happen. 2 As managers your not going to be able to always have your eyes everywhere but don't parlay with the staff in guest view you are the lead they will follow what you do. 3 if the alcohol rule is to cut cost it needs to be done with good judgment our drinks were still at the rim of the glass clearly we honestly just didn't care for the drinks and we ordered drinks more then 2x the price of that one. Management could have easily put a separate order of just the top shelf drinks as if we order separately. read more
